tomakint: When he came onboard he met 13 Silo complexes he made it 33 by adding 20 more now the storage has moved from 311,000metric tonnes to 1.3million metric tonnes just within 2 yearsYou just spoke my mind. President Jonathan may end up as the most performing president in our history. The guy's reforms are landmark and betrays the insincerity and cluelessness of past leaders. One would ask, how come it's only 13 silos that previous administrations bequeathed to us when Jonathan, in just 2 years, has done 20. It's an indictment on our past leaders and reinforces my argument that GEJ is Underated. |
black face: An education tax of 2% of assessable profits is imposed on all companies incorporated in Nigeria. This tax is viewed as a social obligation placed on all companies in ensuring that they contribute their own quota in developing educational facilities in the itscountry.I will recommend the use of google to you. It's a veritable tool that will help you to investigate about any issue that you are not conversant with. If you had employed the assistance of google, you would have avoided this embarrassment. |

Any political party has a right to form their own forum to discuss internal issues important to the governors of such a party without other governors poke nosing. No body should castigate them for that, and it is non of our business. I don't see AKPABIO as an ass-licker, he is a performer, one of the best if not the best in the present stock of governors gracing our political terrain. People should allow him pitch wherever he wants, it is his choice and right as a citizen. |
The hottest topic in Africa, GEJ! You people cannot rest because you are in love with this man ![]() |
Noise making at its peak. Does the Office of the first lady exist or is a phantom? |
Eko Ile: Shey na by force to participate in the great 419 tour scam? Abi why is this thing paining you so much?I am just trying to return your sanity, who s is paining so much? You that is fighting with everyone on this forum. There is an adage in my place that says "if one goes to the market place and fights at every shop he went to buy something, is it that every seller has gone mad that day or that the customer chose to go mad?" a word for you, re-evaluate your sanity and cognitive senses. |
Beretta92: We paid for our own meter 10 years ago and still haven't got it till date. That is why PHCN has to go, the reason why the competition in the power sector is long overdue and the reason why sensible people are optimistic. Elumelu summarised our collective optimism yesterday during the signing. |
Their APC and ACN magicians were part of past administrations that could not even start solving the power puzzle or run through the unending maze of futile quest for solutions, even in their various states, now a genuine benefactor has taken the reins and is driving through a well thought out road map and all of them are running all over nairaland, twitter and Facebook yapping like dogs whipped. What are they afraid of? Solving the power problem will put them to shame and they are working assiduously like witches that they have turned to frustrate it, but sorry bu aha unu because according to Zebrudaya of new masquerade,it is FA FA FAAAA FOUL! |
Eko Ile: Who and who is in this 419 partnership? Obviously, the governor of EDO is not art of it. And must the governors spend their taxpayers money to feed and lodge federal clowns junketing all over the country for nothing or to showcase projects that doesn't belong to them? You only witness rubbish like this with GEJ and his co-clownsAir your stup.idity for all to see. So your Oshiomole and ACN are the wisest and smartest of the 36 states? Or my name has turned to OKOROCHA and Uduaghan who categorically said the governors planned, endorsed and sponsored the NGGTOUR ? Swallat! |
All this stupid talk about the NGGTOUR is simply because a talkative chose to blab and idi.ots chose to resonate the stup.id noise, am outta here, Uduaghan has said it all, no point wasting saliva, leave that to idle ACN sycos. |
Where I stay in Abuja, power used to be less than 4hrs per day, right now, as I am typing, there is power, in the past three days, it has not blinked, my only problem is that PHCN officials are frustrating our efforts in installing the prepaid meters we paid for over 1 year ago, preferring to give us fixed bill of five thousand monthly(I cannot blame GEJ for this, as this is one of the reasons corruption in power sector can only be curbed with privatisation ). Steady power supply cannot be achieved in the hands of NEPA,PHCN or whatever they choose to be called. GEJ is taking us on the most sensible journey, and I am sincerely impressed. |
What is your point? The man (GEJ) has the right to run for another term in office. Anyway, it is for him(GEJ) to decide, it surprises me why in 2012/2013 people are disturbing our peace with this issue. For now, we have more important issues to tackle in this country. |
Eko Ile:Do you choose to ignore facts while ranting? Have you dug out the basis of the tour? Is it not a consensual partnership? Who is asking for money from the states? Unless providing accommodation and two meals for a project you keyed into has turned to asking for money. Are you not ashamed that dullards are leading you? Every foo.l has made this nairaland a forum for mediocrity, casting aspersions and cheap blackmail. |
koruji: Maku by requesting funds from the states already discredited the good governance tour.Maku did not request any money from any body, the governors agreed at their forum on how to fund a tour that will showcase both Federal and State projects, Maku is not a governor and as such not a member of that forum, as such, he cannot make any request. He is just leading that tour because it falls within his purview as the Minister of Information in his administration, he is just a servant carrying out instructions. I structions jointly issued by the Federal and State governments in a consensual agreement, a dissenting voice like Oshiomole had his day at the forum to dispute the tour and I guess 35 against 1 carried the day. No body in his right senses will turn it against GEJ(who heads the FG) or Maku(who heads the tour) or any of the other governors who sat, strategised and agreed to this tour. If you have nothing to contribute, STFU! |
It is a shame when a party tha has merged with the concerted lies of trying to make Nigeria a betters place come out causing controversies and making statements they are not having facts about. How will they be asking you and I if the FG is paying for the tour or the state govts? This implies that this party and her leadership rush to press without clear facts. Did they pause to ask their governors what transpired in their meeting and what was their consensus agreement with the other governors from othe political parties? ACN is beginning to lose objectivity, and I fear that it will be transferred to APC in the merger process. To the best of my knowledge, this NGGTOUR was a consensus agreement between the Federal and state governments and it is by no means Labaran Maku's set up or scam as the ill mannered ACN has started on cheap propaganda and indirect blackmail. It bodes on mediocrity and confusion when people that should be respected spew sh*t in public while trying to sell their low quality selves to us Nigerians. What do you have against a tour that has opened our eyes, for instance, making someone like me begin to take proper note of events when I visit each state? Like knowing that Abia is a dead state, that it is only the Federal government projects that exist their, that the only projects in Kwara with the exception of those by the FG are the ones Bukola Saraki did? Making me know that Cross River seems to have lost her bearing after Donald Duke? Making me know that Bayelsa was stagnant during Sylva's tenure and that Dickson needs to be watched? Say the truth ACN and her leadership, what are you afraid of? |
thelastPope: I would have agreed with Oshiomole but for one problem: The massive monies he has spent to promote himself in Edo State! Over 100 million was spent on artists and entertainment in the last election victory party at ring road! That is beside millions spents on TV, Radio, etc. Now that does not mean he should therefore spend money on the GGT. But what I dont agree with is grandstanding about it. If you dont agree, you simply reject it and tell the minister so instead of making it a public debate. I like Oshiomole but I must say he talks too much. He will have serious issues soon because Edo state lack funds to complete many of their projects. As much as you are in the opposition, you must align intelligently with the FG so you cant get things done. Intelligently I said, not necessarily that you should agree with FG everytime, but you must find a way as a governor to seperate politics from business relationships. A lot of the projects have been stalled because of lack of funds. So much was consumed by the last election. This is a Nigerian who is still thinking straight. You have said it all, well done. All blabbers, please learn before you spew trash. |
kingingkinging: I have always known you are totally insincere and a bunch of syncophant working for GEJ. 120 member team will cost nothing less than N300,000,000 for 3 days. 5 star hotel (accommodation), feeding, logistics and honorarium maybe N1m each to the 120 people, others are advertisement cost, television viewing cost, etc. WhyAccountant General of the Federaion, well done on your calculations. How many 5 start hotels do you have in Nigeria? Can you just see that you have shot yourself on the leg? Why would a governor dole out 1million each to the team? Another shot on your other leg. Being in opposition does not mean baseless ranting, it means constructive criticism and aligning when you see a truely progressive venture. I do not blame your likes, you are among the people who in my language they call" asi wo la odi iri, wo achiri chiba la akpa" your sentiments and emotional inclinations will never allow you digest issues in the positive and negative, there are always two sides to a coin and two sides to a story. Be guided. |
Elueme: Oshomohle should stop playing a hero and act appropriately. The national good governance tour I learnt was a product of a consensus between the federal executive council and the governor's forum and I am surprised that my Oshomohle is now dancing a different tune even when his argument against the said tour didn't sail through at the forum. Democracy is a game of both number and superior argument and he( Oshomohle) was short of these two virtues when the issue was discussed before the tour was formally endorsed.I have an insider in this Edo government, and I must tell you that Oshiomole is just playing cheap with words. A man I respect(not minding his rapacious womanising disease) for his bravado has fallen my hand. How can you say this when we have seen the positive impact this tour has brought to some states, their governors were forced to start working on projects the states had abandoned knowing that people will talk,I can authoritatively give you some stats. So, amongst all the 36 governors, Oshiomole is the wisest? They are not telling you to pay or lobby, but like others did, provide accommodation and feeding for your state guests, I don't think that it can be termed waste of state funds. After all, in Africa, we take care of our guests. If he does not need anyone to tell Edo people and Nigerians what he has done, why is he spending money on publicity? I don't want to term him a political hypocrite, but my comrade governor, you goofed in this one. |
seanet01: The credits goes to ACN.What are you smoking? The man was talking about the roads, the federal roads. I know that it is GEJ that has embarked on this project of rehabilitation of these roads linking regions, not your so called ACN governors. Speak the truth for once and stop scoring cheap political points. |
eggheaders: gej is not only a nightmare,he is a putrid air. many of us saw it long ago.but they played in ethnic and religious sentiment and many gullible Nigerians fell for it.to those dingbats spewing trash Nigeria problems didn't start in gej era ..and if he cannot resolve the problem why contest for the post.the best thing is for him is to resign if he can't tackle our numerous problems. You are indeed an egg head. Can't you read? I guess you can't. GEJ is taking Nigerians in a positive direction no govt has dared to, I must commend him. For the likes of you who has been suffering because he is succeeding, I pity you because ranting on the social media will not stop him from delivering on good governance. If you have been watching the tour as I do, I have seen the federal govt projects in each state and the FG led by GEJ should be highly commended and the positives extolled. Can you categorically pick any of the stated govt projects and tell Nigerians that all that has been said are lies? Stop cheapening yourselves, GEJ is working and we are all watching. The world has beamed their searchlights on the national old governance tour which is showcasing all that this GEJ led administration is doing, refute the positive claims and come out with your facts, then we can listen to ou, swallat! |
Too much gibberish, I am having headache from this delusional hemp induced posts. Why am I even commenting. Mtcheeeeeew! |
alj harem: Kindly read what Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu wrote about Chief Obafemi Awolowo in his book "Because I Am Involved" page 159- 160.Read with understanding, he was a pure tribalist by all standards, what Ojukwu was saying is that " maybe" maybe, if he had been a president and transferred the same fervour to Nigerian affairs, he would probably be the best. Elueme: Thank you @ OP. this is another conspiracy against the South South, before it was SouthEast and the SS were not discerning enough to understand though they now know better.you can clearly see where I stand on this issue, this country is suffering as a result of greedy alliances formed on conspiracy and ethnic hate over time. I am not a tribalist, but I will not turn blind eye to the tribal hate which is the political undercurrent that keeps thwarting the right pathway in the quest for a confederated and stable Nigerian government. I refuse to accept that it is as a result of the fall out of the civil war, because it is on record what the various regional leaders said at independence, and the attendant events that led to Aburi and the ensuing civil war. SE cannot be accused of been tribal, reason is that it is only this tribe that settles amicably anywhere they are earning any form of livelihood, they inter marry easily, build houses and settle, not because they are been pursued from home, but because of their liberal spirit. They learn languages easily and make anywhere their home. How many hausas build a habitable house outside their region? How many yorubas do same? If you don't perceive your brother across the Niger suspiciously without love, won't you take his home as yours and get involved in wealth creation? This is why at any sign of turbulence, the South Easterners are targetted first, their properties are destroyed, their lives taken, because these so called brothers across the Niger are so sure they have nothing much to lose outside their regions. As fate will have it, the cradle of wealth in the country SS emerged against all odds and their son, who is first a Nigerian became the president, the North boils (taking it as a slap on their birthright) and the SW (known for their selfish alignments) are queuing in, forgetting that we carry the same paasports and are supposed to be gunning for the establishment of a vibrant economy, building on our commonwealth and rising above stupid, and lousy sentiments, bearing in mind that despite the colour or tongue, all humans originate from one source and that we did not choose the place of our birth. If I was born into a Moslem family in the north, I would have been a Northerner, then a Moslem by virtue of the fact that it happens to be my birthplace and that I became a Christian and a Southerner because fate and not you or I choose my birthplace. People, wake up and smell the coffee, life in this country would be better if we truely and sincere embrace one another and decide to live as the other lives or atleast tolerate, knowing that their cultures, beliefs, emotions, interpretations and views are as a result of thir roots. |
How long can people try to hold us in perpetual bondage? No one has the right to force any form of leadership on us. ACF has no rights to dictate whether GEJ runs or not, and northern governors had no rights entering any pact. Ruling Nigeria is not the exclusive rights of any tribe, it should be seen as an honour o serve, and the masses should be allowed to choose whosoever they deem fit to be our president. It is a show of arrogance and a slap on national unity and pride for a particular enclave or affiliation to dictate for us. The new Nigeria will not tolerate that, and Nigerian youths will not stand for such nonsense. |

@earthgreeners, See how you keep twisting what someone wrote, fighting a credibility battle on someone far more sauve than you are, making me your focal point and showing your lack of depth. I pity you, yes I do, like an autistic child, you have this special fixation on me, and the emergence of my name on any page sends you into an uncoordinated delirious hyperventilating mood. Keep at it and finally get burnt. |
earthgreeners: why u come dey cry......Your deluded thwarted mind cannot process a simple thought process, shame on you. |
earthgreeners: DUMB posterYou just summarised your existence on this platform. |
CohenJane: You be MUMU number one. so, your are so blind folded by this your nonesense M.Sc. that you can't reason again. god purnish you. olodo.Yea, after your useless hate filled innuendos and suppository venom, it will take you four years(4yrs) and living in the U.K and Germany to achieve the double masters feat. I am still several classes above you just as GEJ is something you can only dream of attaining. |
and this is the same man they called all sorts of derogatory names
Jonathan may eventually be the BEST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY. FACT: HE HAS REVOLUTIONIZED THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
