Brokers were very powerful during that era and there was nothing like online trading for individuals in 2008. That was the era on non-availability of stocks for sale or purchase. My brokers always used my purchase instructions to first of all buy for themselves after buying enough quantity they would then buy mine 72 hours after the instruction.

Do you think stop loss can work in a crazy market where everybody and organisation were doing the same. Investors was buying the same stocks and selling similar stocks at the same time. I diversified my loot into real estate and money market instruments because the earnings of most of the banking, insurance and penny stocks cannot support their prices.

Everybody wanted easy money without taking investment valuation/returns into consideration. A family friend sold his house in Ketu for about N2 million in 2000 because of debtor tenants, as a distributor of Nestle products he invested 90% of the money realised from the sale of his house into Nestle stocks which is currently valued at about N160 million. Another investor sold one of his houses on Airport Road Lagos for N8 million in 2007 and used the fund to buy Big Treat, BGL, IGI and Geofluid Private Placements, he is yet to earn N1 on his investment and the stocks are worthless. It was irrational to buy blue chip stocks like NB, Guinness, Nestle, WAPCO etc when the market was crazy between 2005 and 2007.

I can say he his 90% right, you can get the stock prices of the listed stocks in 2007 from proshare. Even Afroil a company that did not have an office because they had been eject, saw the stock price move from 50k to N7 within 2 month. Intercontinental bank that paid a dividend of about 30k and earning per share of less than N1 sold for N44. As a margin trader with FBN Capital I was able to buy Wema Bank for 80k and sold for between N9 and N10 within a year. The coming of the Karim Brothers to Costain through Shoreline saw the share price moved from 50k to N35 within 18 months. The market was very crazy between 2005 and 2007.

I said "productive hours". You don't expect the CEO of a blue chip company to be observing siesta during work hours,when He's supposed to be attending important meetings with business partners.

Balance is key, we cannot disobey the law of nature. Do you know what the CEO is doing in his office most times when he tells his secretary that he does not want to attend to visitors for the next one hour? He is probably having a nap. Due to the nature of my job and business, I do not always observe the recommended 8 hours sleep+nap but I try to pay my sleep debt on weekends and public holidays. I do have a total of 12 hours sleep+nap on some weekends and public holidays

It depends on your work schedule people on night shift and night guards sleep during the day and work at night. Having a nap of about 30 minutes during the day is very good for the brain.

That was why, I said the recommended duration is between 7hours and 8 hours. Having a good nite sleep of 7 to 8hours cannot be referred to as oversleep.

That is true. How many sleep deficient Nigerians are truly successful or will eventually be successful. The time they should use for sleep which will eventually rejuvenate their health and mental state, they will use such time watching films, partying and other activities that are inimical to their mental health.

Do you sleep during the day? Please consult your doctor or if you are married try to have s*x at night. Whenever I have sleepless night, I just pick up a book in my library and read.

A good sleep makes one complete health wise, very very important, I will say having a good sleep at the right time is a gift, just as eating at the right time!
God so bless some people that they can sleep while standing! Lolz, some can even sleep while on a bike(okada). But most importantly, let us make sure that we sleep at least 7 to 8 hrs a day.

Unfortunately a good number of people do not have 7 hours of sleep in a day. People should google the health benefits of sleep.

The most important thing is the wisdom and discipline to strike a balance between work, family, health and play.I was in a big hospital about 2 months ago and the growing cases of young successful people with stroke, hypertension, diabetes, cancer is quite alarming. It is not how long or hard you work that matters, but it is the quality of the work done and how smart one works that is important.

The recommended duration of sleep for an adult is 7 hours in a day. If you have the opportunity 30minutes or 1 hour nap is not a bad idea, and then have roughly 6 hours of sleep at night. That means if you sleep at 10pm you should be up between 4am or 5am. We now have growing cases of mental instability and disorder among Nigerians in Urban areas which experts have traced to lack of sleep and drug abuse(in some cases these drugs also obstructed the sleep process)

Try and discuss this with your wife, the woman may be tired. Having sex every night is not an easy task. Since all you see about Nigerian economy and the current leadership is doom and negatives, leave the market for those of us who see opportunites and positive possibilities in the economy and in the Nation at large.

Haba you are an old timer in this business now, you are expected to pay 10% withholding tax on your dividend. E be like say na your first dividend be this or you no dey observe say your dividends dey short by 10%.

When the Chairman who has close to 200 million shares in Red Star Express never own 30% shares of the company. On a serious note the company is consistent with their dividend payout, 35k dividend per share was approved in the last AGM.

Red Star Express dividend just landed,
