Bro sincerely u gaffed by turning down that topic. U should've given the topic a try, especially when the topic is not too hard compared to other government topics. I mean even if u are not prepared, u could've given them a definition of constitution which u can easily form in ur head on the spot, tell them about the 1999 constitution, talk about d provisions of the Constitution concerning number of senators, number of reps in d house, state house of assembly, exclusive list, etc... Just these things would've been enough, am sure they too will not expect u to tell them every damn thing about d topic. I just hope u will be called for the job.
I doubt if he would be called back, no one will want to employ a troublesome or an argumentative employee.

#greenhorn
It depends, I can use the dividends to buy more shares of the company that declared the dividend, I can also use the dividend other stocks that appear attractive, dividends can also be reinvested into other asset classes. It depends on the investor's age, preference, streams of income and source of the invested fund.

Access at N2 will have a forward P/E of about 1 time earnings after factoring in their rights issue that will listed later in the year. I honestly don't see how this would happen even though Mr Market has the final say. I am no prophet but most of the bank stock prices are close to their bottom. I dnt really see a more than 20% downside from their current prices.
Traders are not looking at that, they are only concerned with the stock prices. It may get to a stage when some stocks may even sell below their earnings.

My guy you have done well for yourself, use 450k to buy a car. Or you can invest your 450k in TB for about 3 months pending the time your dividends will start coming so that you can get a better car.

Since you are not using borrowed money to buy shares and I am sure these are shares you want to hold for another 20 years please do not be tempted to sell your shares. I still bought more shares today.

I see another Asalu in you, my late mentor who got over N8 million dividend from just one company ie CAPL, he always prayed for stock prices to fall and was very active in the market doing bear period.

Weather you buy a car or not that's your own necessity.

My only advice for you bcuz of your wife and child is to pull 80% of that 5m from NSE and look for a real business.

then keep the remaining 20% for this the more you look the less you see business.
Everybody cannot be in business, ask him how he was able to build a portfolio of N5 million and he should continue doing just that.

I will advise that you buy a car worth N600k and then use the remaining balance for yourself and your family. Right now the market is getting really dangerous globally. I believe another meltdown is on it's way. If you have never experienced one, just try your best never to experience such. Simply monitor your remaining investment in the NSE. I wish you the best.
He should be able to between 500k and 600k as dividends which he can use to buy his car.

As a neutral party sir, I would say those allegations were weighty considering this is a public forum. But, do you know that the teacher(s) might have served under the thieving principal. You stated that you took over last year, so, obviously he was not referring to you.

It is so sad that people we trust often end up disappointing us. That thief should be found and arrested. My humble piece.
I wanted to arrest him, but my father begged me not to try. Thank God we have suceeded in liquidating the inheirted debts.

Leaders and employers of labour need to be careful of people who are ambitious, speak ill about their colleagues and love doing eye service. The guy made sure that people who brought him in made mistakes and were asked to resign, set his colleagues up, made sure that his rivals were frustrated out of the organisation till he achieved his mission.

I dont want to believe in African magic, but in order to carry out his plans he made sure the owners never stepped into the place for 4 good years.

Thanks so much for your time to explain in details what had occur in the past. I am passing this info of yours to my friend to seek for the details of his said friend. Thank God I didn't act as if the info comes directly from me in the first instance, and d source was the major reason why I opened the comment with my personal statements (first paragraph) before stating the info gathered. Just as you've requested, I will try as much as possible to get the details of the man, even if it's just gonna be his name.

But please, I have a question. Who exactly is "a deacon in Apostolic Faith Church"? I only copied and pasted those info here the other time as posted to me.

Thanks once again.
My father started Primary school business about 30 years ago while he was still working at UNILAG, he retired in 1989 when he was less than 50 years because the business was growing faster than he envisaged. He was a sunday school teacher in the church, became an interpreter, an Assistant Pastor and finally a Pastor.

As a Pastor he used the resources from his business and time to build edifices for the Lord, retired as a Pastor in 2012 due to age. Maybe at the right time, the Lord will corner me for his use.

In the banking sector, the best long term stocks are GTB and Zenith. Access is also a good one in terms of dividend payment. GTB is stronger but more expensive. There is no need to own both GTB and Zenith as both are very much alike in performance strength and dividend payment. You can go for Zenith and Access as an undergraduate. If you have money you may risk FBNH but try not to get too exposed to banking stocks.
Given the option to choose between GTB and Zenith, I will choose Zenith.

Which part precisely? Pls read the first part of my post carefully. One thing is to be noted here, even if the source of the info is not 100% right, something must have warrant a school to change its teacher almost every term. (I am aware of ds fact myself because I av a neighbour whose child attends the school). All in all, I think the first paragraph of my original comment should have taken care of any contrary opinion, and I think it was well stated there that my source even pointed it out that, there is possibility that the said owner would have change for better. Thanks.
It is always good to get your facts right, name two teachers who left within one term in the last 2 sessions. And may I know the names of your purported neighbours because I have their phone numbers and they all make direct calls to me whenever they have complaints, I also endeavour to visit the School at least twice in a week.

Your last sentence said there is possibility that the said owner would have changed for better, how is that possible? I think this is a smart way of telling people that if these serious allegations are not true, you have already notified them that maybe Holy spirit MUST have miraculously touched the heart of the owner. I do not know if it is that easy for people to change their attitude? Just asking......

Pls, dnt be discourage abt anything. Give it a try and see wat is obtainable. I am saying ds because I dnt want you to ignore the invite based on the info I am abt to giv u because it is not a firsthand info. I got ds frm a frnd of mine, who claimed dat he also once had a friend who was once a teacher in dat school. This was wat he posted to me now. The statement below is dat of my friend.

Fountain College is one of the craziest schools we have in my area (Ikorodu). The man who owns the school claimed to be born again christian, a deacon in Apostolic Faith Church but his characters and attitude preach against what he professed to be. He is so wicked and very cruel, he doesn't appreciate anything irrespective of how much you labour for him. He employs teacher every term (if not every month) due to his frustration attitudes that normally discourage his staff. As for the pay package, I dnt knw but in terms of welfare, it's a NO frm me.

MODIFIED
Though he added that, nothing is impossible, as the man might have change for the better.

HE JUST ADDED THIS TOO
To get to the said school (Fountain College), board ikorodu bus, alight at Idi-Iroko Bus stop, at the front of C&S primary school (government owned primary school). Cross to the other side and locate Agbaro Street or ask anybody the name of the street. Walk on the street for about five minutes and ask anybody around that you are going to Fountain College. The school is actually located at the end of the street.
Please get you facts right or better still post or send the name of your friend's friend who told another friend who happens to be you about what he knows about the College.

I started the College in 1998 first as a tutorial centre using my father's property in Ikorodu. I left in 1999 to work outside and gather more experience, another reason why I left to pick up a regular job was the cost of running a business and the unpredictable cashflow in business.

The school is located on 3 plots of land. Although I started the school my father a retiree from UNILAG who is now in his 70s is the Proprietor, he assisted me with payment of salaries. My father who is the Proprietor used to come around to visit the school in Ikorodu once in a week, he was never involved in the running of the place.

Between 1999 and 2014, yours truly worked in management position in various schools in Lagos. Although while working in other places, I was keeping tab of happenings and progress made in the school. I played a major role when the school was approved in 2004 because most of the inspectors from Ministry of Education Alausa were my classmates and juniors in the University.

The problem with the school started about 5 years ago although we have overcome the problem. Mind you the Principal is solely responsible for the running of this school. A guy became the Principal about 5 years ago, through series of palace coup, back stabbing of the guys who even brough him to join the college.

Not long after becoming the Principal, the Proprietor stopped his weekly visit to the school. As a matter of fact before I became the Chairman of the College about a year ago, the Propreitor nor his children ever visited the school for 4 years.

The Principal only visited the Proprietor to collect cheques for the running of the school, the guy rented out the property to some other business concern without informing the owners nor the money collected remitted to the owners. He sacked the Bursar and put his own crony as the Bursar. He collected money from the owners for the awards of contracts which he never delivered to the contractors, he has a personal account where some of the school fees were paid into. The guy was buoyant enough that he built a 3 bedroom bungalow for his mum and also bought a car for his girl-friend, eventhough he has his wife and family at Ilesha Osun State.

I partially came back on board as the Vice Chairman of the School in 2013 October, when my auditors stated auditing the books of the school they discovered fraud and unremitted school fees and WAEC fees running into millions of Naira. The guy also embezzled the staff co-operative money of about 900k.

The guy was not sacked but he ran out of Lagos, but ever since his friends and sympatisers who ate out his loot have been spreading falsehood about the school.

I fully joined in September 2014 as the Chairman of the school, because Baba (Proprietor) is now aged and he is just recovering from the shock of what the last guy who he really trusted did to him and his business.

I am the new Proprietor in quote, I just finished liquidating all the debts inherited from that guy.

As earlier said, please do me a big favour by sending the name of your source to me.

Thank you and God bless our hussles.
