If you read the Punch newspaper of 6th August 2015, you will see the name of a school owner in Ikorodu who is owing UBA as high as over N300 million.

Another big school in Lagos with a branch in Ogun State got as high as N2 billion loan from First Bank but the woman has liquidated the debt.

Ckeck the annual report of Nigeria banks, the least salary by a bank MD/CEO is N60 million per annum excluding certain benefits some earn as high as over N200 million per annum.

psycologically, short term traders like some of us here have been programmed to do short term jijo which is only viable during bull or sideways period and as such are being forced 2 develope d quality of patience, a rare virtue. For medium to long term investors, bearish periods such as these r seen as answers to their prayers as these r opportunities for them to make money cos all they need do is just invest more to average down.

Glad to announce that I've officially signed a new transfer contract with Caleb Intl Schools.

It was quite challenging though, their aptitude test is superb! If not for the "gragra" I put up during the interview and micro-teaching, it would have been a different story alltogether.
If you don't have it, fake it! Confidence is very key when it comes to interviews.
Though the pay is just a few tens of thousand above what I currently earn, I like their welfare package and other perks.

I think it is around around Iyana Iyesi, but I am not sure if they will offer the same salary with what is obtainable at Sogunle.

Please, I need to know everything and anything about the above school.

I know somethings about the school. The pay used to be between 35k and 40k, maybe they have upgraded.

They have Primary and Secondary Schools at Sogunle, the schools at Sogunle are day schools. They also have another branch at Ota Ogun State, the schools at Ota have facilities for boarding. Sogunle is the headquaters, it is possible that some of the successful apllicants may be transferred to Ota.

I know people who earn less than 30k per month in neighbouring states who are living in their own houses, due to the cost of living in the states.

Pls where can I get a list of good schools in surulere axis. Am thinking of relocating maybe, I can get better offers there. Imagine offering a graduate with teaching experience and pgde 15k? A huge school o. Build as a school not a converted building but the proprietor said the sec. school is just starting.

Pls, where can one get Montessori training in Lagos? I really must transfer this season I don't mind if it is primary school. I am so not resuming with my current school.

@Masties, are you married? If yes, I will not advice you to leave Isolo everyday to work in Lekki. Try and upgrade and get a better job on the Mainland.

Maybe they have changed that policy, 2 of my colleagues were Mathematics teachers in the school around 2010. Although both of have left to head other schools outside Lagos.

Give it a shot, also note that you MUST be able to bring a minimum of certain number of students to the school within a term except if they have changed that policy.

20k is a lot of money in Ogun water side, when comparing it with the cost of living in a city like Lagos.

They paid 70k about 2 years ago, they do not have accomodation. The owner is a former banker, so you will be given targets hich must be achieved. The targets are both academic and marketing.

About 50% of the millionaires in the book (Millionaires Next Door) are self made and they eun their own businesses. But most of those who became decamillionaires or billionaires were not self made as the time the book was written about 15 years ago. They became ultra-rich by prudent management and multiplication of the wealth inherited from their parents.

The legality and transparency of how they make the money is important! They consider those factors! If not, HNWIs from Nigeria should be more than 10million!!!

Please where did you get the figure of 10million HNWI from, I doubt if US and Japan has a combined population of 10 million HNWI talkless of a poor country like Nigeria.

According to the book "The Millionaire Next Door", about 3.5 in every 100 household in US have a minimum combined networth of $1million as at year 2000 which was 15 years ago.

Assuming we have 100 million households in the US, we should be talking of about 3.5million HNWI.

The only way to erase the rich- poor gap is via education and industrial development...and an end to resource dependency.

It can be reduced through functional education, financial literacy, enterpreurship, good governance, industrialisation, good economic policies by govt etc.
