About the letter of administration, you can fast track it by paying for an independent newspaper advert. It cost about 10k or so. I was told the reason why it takes long is because they publish the adverts in batches, so until a batch is filled there is nothing they can do. Did mine at F.C.T high court
People should be advised on the need to have a will, if you have a will you do not need a letter of administration. People who die intestate using subject their loved ones left behind to unnecessary stress.

thanks for educating me.
sir if you followed the issue of NLNG relocating from lagos to PH, you will discover that the tax paid by nlng to lasg was part of what made rivers state government then to push that nlng be relocated to rivers state.
moreover the PITA (personal income tax) paid by this IOC is not small oo. and i heard PITA is being paid to LASG.
You pay your Personal Income Tax to where you work, Mobil workers in Akwa Ibom pay to AKSG, Chevron workers in Warri pay to Delta State govt even-though Mobil and Chevron Head-offices are in Lagos

What about the land use act of 1970...

Also why is there no viable federal government project in the south eastern region? ?

Remember that OBJ kicked against the second Niger bridge... he also said that there was an agreement that the southeastern should be underdeveloped due to the war... I thus repeat... and will keep on saying that the best thing that happened to nigeria was the Jonathan's outgoing government. .. he simultaneously carried all regions along... the issue was that some regions were out rightly greedy... while some regions believed that the government was their birthright. .. a time shall come and very soon.. but we the south east will be spectators then...
The land for the project is the equity contribution of Lagos State to the project, and shares were allocated based on the value of land the state gave towards the project.

What stopped Tompolo, Dokubo, GEJ to personally site a project of such magnitude in Bayelsa?

That doesn't mean that it can't be located in bayelsa.. abia state government owns palm plantations in badagry Lagos. .. the same people that preach 1 nigeria can't practice it... a whole government can't be confident enough to setup an institution in a place more viable...hmmmmmm
That is left to the shareholders which include Lagos State Govt, Jadesinmis, Foreign Investors, and Institutional Investors to decide and not through a fiat by an outgoing President.

As am matter of fact the site for the project was LASG contribution to LADOL, FG was not an original a shareholder of LADOL but became a shareholder through NPA when they saw how viable the company will be as a result of scrambling by foreigners and institutional investors for shares and ownership of LADOL

Agreed, in Lagos today, how many companies can Rival the multinational oil firms in terms of paying taxes to LASG, paying huge salaries to their staffs of which taxes are also deducted from this huge salaries and remitted to LASG.
How many, just mention 1
Corporate tax, mining tax, petroleum tax are paid to the FGN, LASG gets PAYE, property tax, land use tax.

It is is from the corporate tax, mining tax and petroleum taxes that the big bucks are made by FGN through Federal Inland revenue

Nigeria is indeed a fraud and its aim at destroying d Niger Delta
How will they move the project. It is a private sector driven project, Lagos state Govt is one of the shareholders in the project.

The company handling the project is LADOL.

According to the company’s chairman, Ladi Jadesimi, the decision to invest the money in the nation’s economy was borne out of the desire to create jobs, bring billion of dollar of long investment as well as enable long term and sustainable economic growth.
He said last year alone, Customs duties collected from the facility was over N10 billion, adding that Labol has commenced talks with multinational oil companies on the construction of Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) that would create thousands of jobs for many Nigerians

That project, I repeat, was never meant to be in Lagos State, it was just a ploy to win the votes of the SW that made Jonathan to site the project there. What BUSINESS are you talking about my friend? I doubt if you know the nature of the business before typing this gibberish. Mind you, I voted for Buhari.

Who wants to put their money in the middle of kidnappers and militants and people always threatening to blow things up?. Why should government get involved in where a business is located. The project is a private sector financed and GEJ cannot dictate where the project should be sited.

It is suspicious if a very thin woman gets a public job and in a matter of months becomes as fat as you.

Silverbird Productions started in 1980 with a borrowed capital of N20, 000.00; a desk in a small corner of the Domino administrative office, six staff and only two business activities, pageant and programme syndication. Today, with hundreds of staff, the company has turned to a conglomerate – three radio stations, Rhythm 93.7 in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt; Silverbird television; the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria; Silverbird Cinema, Silverbird Entertainment and Silverbird Galleria. Silverbird Cinema, the first and only Cinema multi-plex with five screens, has been a huge success and they are holding talks with some State governments in the country to replicate the Lagos success story.

His entry into the pageantry business came at a time when the Miss Nigeria franchise was beginning to lose its glamour, the interest of Nigerians and its sponsor. His brainchild, Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant eventually took over the market leadership from the Miss Nigeria, owned and operated by the Daily Times of Nigeria. MBGN produced the likes of Omasan Buwa, Bianca Onoh and Agbani Darego.

You should be able to get a plot for between 80 million to 120 million in Ikeja GRA, this will be determined on how desperate the seller is and your ability to negotiate. I am not too sure if you can get 3 plots that is about 1900 meter square in the same place in GRA.

sorry to hijack this thread Op.
I am interested In your advice for anyone with a similar fund to SPARE.

Be warned @ OP. I lost £20000 recently in Nigeria by investing in wood exporting business in the hope I will get 20-25% profit as promised.
It appears you are not based in the country, with a fund of about N40 million.

I will advice you to invest N20 million in real estate, this can be student hostel in a university town, shopping complex, residential apartment etc. This will give a return that will beat inflation.

Invest N15 million in blue chip companies or mutual funds by reputable fund managers, will the election of GMB and his acceptance by the international community it will not be a bad idea to place a bet on the long term prospect of the Nigerian economy.

The remaining N5 million can be invested in some money market instrument.

Assuming you are based in Nigeria, the advice may be a little different from this.

thank you soo much... I'll make sure I heed Your advice.... Actually I've been making sure to avoid too good to be true offers because I know what experiences I've had in the past from things I feel are too good to be happening.
What are you doing now? Are you schooling, working or into business? If you are working, what is your career plan for the next 5 years. If you are into business, what type of business are you into, how have you fared in this business, how long have you been in this business, what is your level of expertise and knowledge about the line of business.

I am sorry, if I am asking so many questions.

You answers to questions will assist me in advising you on how to go about your new found wealth.

In the investment world there are many routes to get to the stage of financial independence, but the route one will embark on will be determined on your patience, focus, discipline, knowledge, experience, temperament, level of risk tolerance, entrepreneurial mindset, can do spirit and finally the God factor.
