How are you bruh? Hope you are doing great?
pls bro do not take it as tribalism but that's the truet. Obi is good and famous but only in his region. you can't compare him with Tinubu. why because Tinubu is MARADONA in politics all south West are going to vote for him no doubt about that 98%,
in the Northern part, the votes are going to be divided ATIKU 40% KWANKWASO 40% Tinubu 28% Obi 2%.
finally you can say what you want to say about south south an south East votes. What ever the out come there Obi may end up behind Tinubu and Atiku who may obtain the highest vote cast in the country.

Dear Seun,
I am one the old members left here. 2007 set.

Send this post to front page because it deserves it.

Don't make it too obvious that you support Tinubu.

Give others same coverage or at least some. You have 2 items on this issue on frontage against Peter.

There is a counter. Post it too.

It is the norm on NL
only Biafra region will vote for stingy man. South West and the Northern parts candidates are by far superior to him.
the only chance for him is to accept Kwankwaso VP slot that will suit him better.
pls ask every one why Ojukwu the father of Peter Obi never never make it pass Biafra region with your votes and supporthuh

PoliticsKatsina NNPP Guber Candidate Donates N50m To Victims Of Banditry by ManirBK(op): 8:15pm On Jun 21, 2022
The Katsina State governorship candidate on the platform
of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), Engr. Nura
Khalil, has donated N50million to victims of banditry in
Katsina State.
LEADERSHIP reports that Katsina, Zamfara and Kaduna States are
the epicenter of banditry and kidnapping in the North-West part of
Nigeria.
Hundreds of people have been kidnapped and property worth
billions of naira have been destroyed since the crisis began.
The donation was given through Engr. Nura Khalil Foundation,
under the leadership of Hajia Farida Barau, who is the wife of the
governorship candidate.
The Foundation was established about 10 years ago with the sole
aim of assisting the less-privileged, orphans and gifted students,
who do not have the means to go to school.
Engr. Khalil donated the money considering the difficult times the
victims of banditry and kidnapping in Katsina State were going
through, as well as the present economic condition in the country.
The N50million aid will include food items, temporary shelters,
medicine and other essential services.
Speaking during an interview with journalists, Engr. Nura Khalil said:
“If politicians can spend millions to buy nomination forms in order
to contest a political office, such amount of money should better
be used to assist families of kidnap victims or those who either lost
their loved ones or lost their property in banditry or kidnapping
related incidences.”
The NNPP governorship candidate, therefore, sympathised with
entire people of the State on the current security situation in
Katsina State.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has published a pdf data summary of the number of foreign mercenaries fighting on behalf of Ukraine, Friday.

According to the data 85 Nigerians arrived after heeding the call from Kiev to join a “foreign legion” to defeat Russia. 38 have been killed fighting, while 35 returned to Nigeria with 12 still fighting.

“Against the backdrop of the Kiev regime’s mounting military failures and massive daily losses in manpower and equipment, the flow of foreign mercenaries to Ukraine has not only decreased, but is actually turning in the opposite direction,” the RuMOD statement read noting the increase of foreign mercenaries operating in Ukraine.

Despite increased payments to fight for Kiev, more foreign mercenaries were returning home.

“Despite the Kiev regime’s efforts and increased payments, the process of mercenaries leaving to the ‘other world’ or back to their countries of residence has not been stopped by the Kiev leadership,” the statement added.

The statement said that the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU) were monitoring and recording the presence in Ukraine of every representative of this international gathering of “headless horsemen”. The GRU was also monitoring the trainers coming to train, prepare and repair western supplied weapons.

From the breakdown of the figures it shows that there were mercenaries from every continent.

“Among European countries, Poland is the undisputed leader in terms of the number of mercenaries both arriving and dying. Since the beginning of the special military operation, 1,831 people have arrived in Ukraine, of whom 378 have already been killed and 272 mercenaries have departed for their homeland.

It is followed by Romania with 504 arrivals, 102 deaths and 98 departures. The UK is in third place: 422 arrivals, 101 deaths, 95 departures. Among the Americas, Canada leads the way: 601 arrivals, 162 deaths, 169 departures.

The USA comes second: 530 arrivals, 214 deaths, 227 departures. From the Middle East, Transcaucasus and Asia the largest number, 355 mercenaries, came from Georgia, of whom 120 died and 90 left Ukraine.

Then there are 200 terrorist fighters redeployed from the US-controlled areas of Jazira region in Syria. To date, 80 have been eliminated and 66 have left Ukraine,” Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov the RuMOD spokesman stated.

The Russian general then added that as at June 17, 1, 956 foreign fighters have been eliminated from the battlefield while 1,779 returned to their countries.

“3,321 mercenaries are alive, not yet captured, or have not yet escaped to the Ukrainian border,” he explained.

Such schools should be closed down. As long as the law allows them to wear the hijab, anyone who wants to run any school will have to abide by the law.
You can't pick and choose which law to follow.
It's not allowed in any society.
If you who walk uncovered deny other people right to cover their bodies ..is like you are indirectly forcing your own way of dressing on them aren't you? If they didn't ask you to stop walking uncovered why would you just want them to disobey their own way of life...this is the right decision made by the APEX COURT and we welcome it..respect

PoliticsSuprem Court Approve Use Of Hijab In Lagos Schools (daillytrust) by ManirBK(op):
The Supreme Court has affirmed the rights of Muslims Female Students in Lagos state
to wear Hijab to school without
harassment or discriminatio
In a majority decision, Nigeria’s
apex court gave the ruling on
Friday in Abuja.
Among those on the panel were Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Justice John Inyang Okoro, Justice Uwani Aji, Justice Mohammed Garba, Justice Tijjani Abubakar,
and Justice Emmanuel Agim.
While six ruled in favour of the
use of hijab, one dissented.

The Lagos State Government
had in February 2017 approached
the Supreme Court to challenge the July 21, 2016 judgment of
the Court of Appeal which reinstated the use of hijab by Muslim pupils in Lagos public primary and secondary schools.
This was after the state government sought to stay the execution of the judgment at the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal but failed.
The case, CA/L/135/15, is between the Lagos State Government, Miss Asiyat AbdulKareem (through her
father), Miss Moriam Oyeniyi and the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria.
A five-man special appellate court panel, presided by Justice A.B.
Gumel, had on July 21, 2016, overruled the October 17, 2014
judgment of Justice Modupe Onyeabo of the Lagos State High
Court in Ikeja, which banned
the use of hijab in public primary and secondary schools in Lagos State.
While striking down Justice’s Onyeabo’s verdict, the Justice Gumel panel had held that the ban on hijab was discriminatory against Muslim pupils in the state.

The panel
upheld the
Muslim
students’
contention
that the ban
violated their
rights to
freedom of
thought,
conscience,
religion,
dignity of
human
persons and
freedom from
discrimination
guaranteed
by the 1999
Constitution.
Justice
Gumel also
held that
wearing the
hijab was an
Islamic
injunction and
an act of
worship
required of
Muslims.
He said the
use of hijab
by Muslim
pupils could
not cause
disunity,
distraction
and
discrimination
against
students of
other faiths
as declared
by the lower
court judge.
Reacting to
the
judgement,
the Amir
(President) of
MSSN in
Lagos State,
Miftahudeen
Thanni, said
that with the
judgement,
students in
public
primary and
secondary
schools in
Lagos State
can now wear
hijab to
school
without
harassment.
He warned
teachers and
government
officials
against
harassment
of female
Muslim
students,
urging that
the Supreme
Court
judgement
should put a
stop to the
“undue”
punishment
of students
willing to
wear the
hijab.
Thanni,
however,
assured the
state
government
and residents
of peaceful
co-existence,
noting that
Muslim
students
won’t abuse
the
judgement.
According to
him, the
judgement
has deepened
the students’
and
Nigerians’
confidence in
the judiciary.
He said, ”
The
judgement
simply means
that though
hijab is not
mandatory in
Lagos
schools,
Muslim
students who
wish to wear
it are free to
do so and
legally
allowed.
“We are a
law-abiding
organisation
and we will
continue to
uphold the
law of the
land. We
applaud the
judgement.
The position
of the law is
very clear on
the subject
matter. This
matter once
more assures
us that all
hope is not
lost on
having a
modest
society.
“The
government
should not be
waging war
against
youths who
chose to
cover their
unclothedness
while
encouraging
those who
walk naked
and engage
in illicit acts
in public.
“It gladdens
to see that
the injunction
which the
LASG is using
as a basis to
deny the
rights of
Muslim
students has
been decided
by the apex
court.
“We hereby
urge all
stakeholders
to be law-
abiding for a
peaceful
implementati
of the
judgement.
There should
be no
violation of
human rights
against our
students
while we
expect an
immediate
implementati
of the
judgement in
all schools
across the
state. We
urge the
government
not to delay
implementati
While
congratulatin
and thanking
Muslims and
the legal
team on the
recent
victory,
Thanni said,
“We
congratulate
the entire
Muslim
Ummah
(community)
and urge our
Muslim
students to
uphold
decency and
cleanliness
which are the
hallmark of
Islam while
exercising
their rights.
We also pray
to Allah to
forgive the
shortcomings
of the late
Alhaji Adetola
Kassim
(SAN) who
started this
case without
collecting a
dime from
us.”

CrimeEFCC Cautions Youths Against Fraudulent Use Of ICT by ManirBK(op): 11:59am On Jun 17, 2022
Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa has cautioned youths across the country against fraudulent use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), urging them to be more creative and problem- solvers for the overall good of the country. Bawa made the appeal in Abuja at the grand finale of “Girls in ICT ConnectLive Season 6”. ADVERTISEMENT He said there were ample opportunities and possibilities that can be explored on the internet without necessarily breaking any law. According to him, “Internet fraud shrinks the thinking space for positive engagements and its criminality is the death knell of originality. Girls in ICT should make a difference in this respect and challenge fraudulent actors on the net by the strength of your innovation. I am eager to see Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and others like them produced from among you girls in ICT.” The EFCC’s boss, who was represented by the head of enlightenment and reorientation unit of the commission, Aisha Mohammed, said the commission is determined to redirect the minds of youths to useful and socially-desirable engagements, adding that defrauding other people of their hard-earned money and other resources through internet fraud is evil, aside from being illegal. “We will continue to launch offensives against internet fraudsters and other criminal elements and I urge you to resist every temptation of using dishonest means to achieve wealth or fame,” he said. Earlier, the convener of the programme and publisher of Noble Africa, Princess Ife, thanked the EFCC for always supporting her publication. She urged the girls in ICT to be focused in their endeavours and believe in themselves. https://leadership.ng/efcc-cautions-youths-against-fraudulent-use-of-ict/
