gbolah4real:Yeah, I did. What about it? ![]() |
ihedioramma:It is quite funny or should I say interesting how you come up with these ridiculously low price targets. How come your projections for Oando were more positive even encouraging us to board at N8 before it zooms off? Do you sell monkeys too? One love ![]() |
megainvest:The CBN is just as irresponsible as the board of SKYE. They are desperate to limit the damage caused by the announcement and board changes made. Panic withdrawals and cheque rejections plaguing SKYE bank now while investors scamper for safety on the NSE. It would have been better if the CBN forced a merger (behind the scene) between SKYE and another bank. That I think would not have led to this bloodshed. They had better not tow that line of action for any other SIB. Let's see what the outcome of the arrangee meeting with Oscar will be. My thoughts. |
locodemy:I think Transcorp will report a high Forex loss. Just an opinion. I can't tell the direction of this stock. NSE has a mind of its own. |
Expect more profit warning for Q2. Forex loss is real. |
bejay247:Check the bids again. Some folks just withdrew their bid at N8.11 |
duni04:I should think so. It's not a good news for the industry at all. Should we expect the market to react negatively across the sector? A SIB bank going down. |

So not even a forward looking statement or another press release to expect result on or before July 31st? Skye, Oando and Stanbic, there is God o. |
Primetech:I don't think so. |
Results due this week - Oando, Skye and probably Stanbic. Not sure, but it seems Flourmills result might not be released until mid July to early August. |
Godisfaithful:I know you have positions in FCMB and Diamond. But not to worry, like I posted initially, the downgrade is not news to the market. That was why I mentioned that of FCMB being next in line. My point is, the audited result, the basis of the downgrade just announced is known to everyone. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. It is not breaking news. |
Is the NSE trying to stage a comeback? ![]() |
No one knows for sure, the ramification of Brexit. A lot of speculations out there and largely negative too. We wait on world leaders to share their next line of action. Thank God it's a weekend. Hopefully, the markets will be calm by Monday when leaders that matter would have doused the tension with whatever they got. End of a 40yr EU relationship is no joke |
debeey87:Investors convert position to cash, grab popcorn and a bottle of coke, watch in 3D. |
OBAGADAFFI:The downgrade was just announced. Meanwhile it happened long before now when the profit warnings hit the market. Same applies to Diamond, Skye. FCMB's will be announced shortly. Thank you. ![]() |
Primetech:Brexit!!! |
Having dropped several places on the Forbes ranking since the Naira was floated against the Dollar, oga Dangote is on a quest to reclaim his enviable position. The obvious vehicle is Dangotecement where he owns c.90% of its listed shares. I wish him good luck. |
ukay2:If your instinct tell you say ASI go touch 15000 and the thing dey above 31,000 now, you no go run Make una fear God o. Do unto others as you want them to do to you o. ![]() |
valacious:The initial reaction when the news was released on the floor was a sell off. Stock bottomed and reversed. N21 to N14.13 |
Mfunkynation:I recommend you BUY a device you can use to monitor your trading activity. No DD required. |
http://nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/14039_FIDSON_-_OPENS_NEW_FACILITY_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JUNE_2016.pdf The race of the pharmaceuticals is set to begin. |
lancee:Well, they present opportunities for those that missed the early fliers. It's just a matter of time. Na turn by turn. |
An announcement might be due from Transcorp. There is something about this solo bull. Beefing this stock right now..........bailed out at N1.34 JIJO don tire me. I need to be more patient. ![]() |
I am not sure how the UK's EU referendum will affect other markets but I'll bet it will in some way. Tomorrow is the d-day and there just might be volatility. I expect a "Remain" victory might usher in the bulls in the following trading days. Reason is, foreign investors have more reasons to wait on the sidelines until after the dust settles before a decision can be taken. In order words, they have other things on their mind apart from Naira devaluation. Meanwhile, Guaranty enjoyed patronage from some deep pockets yesterday and today. Infact they bought at inta-day high of N23.20 today. I hope they consider other stocks in the coming days. Na beg I dey beg o ![]() |
Serious money chasing Guaranty- a top pick for foreign investors. |
Shey na like this Transcorp go dey rise? Failed to take position when I should have. |
uzoboy86yahoo:The market will revalue listed stocks following the change in monetary policy. In other words, when the true value of the Naira is determined by market forces, stock prices will readjust to reflect this change. Look at it this way, A bottle of coke sold for N150 when the Naira exchanged to the dollar at N150/$1. The Naira was then devalued to about N300/$1. You would probably not get same bottle for N150 again especially if its cost component is foreign denominated. The new price will largely depend on market forces. On the NSE, Foreign investors control a large percentage of trades. When they change their dollar to naira, they have more naira to spend and our stocks appear cheap. We should have more naira chasing stocks eventually. In fact, some countries devalue their currency to make their products appear cheap. That said, if you have positioned already please don't be in a hurry to sell. It just doesn't seem to make sense now. I feel this is that time to wait. Caveat: I am not a prophet. |
uzoboy86yahoo:When you go to the market and Tomato is no longer the same amount you bought it on your last visit. ![]() |
I can feel the enthusiasm of traders on the exchange. Play your game well. |
