http://www.easykobo.com/HisPcp.aspx?s=FBNH Sorry, I didn't get your question. You referring to least price traded in the last 2 years ![]() Anyway, the least traded price in the last 2 years is N3.00 on 30th March, 2016 (use link pasted above to check for any other stock and over any other period) chuksmad: |
ogbs2020love:Aside the profit warning, there is no other information in the public domain. 2015 full year result is pending hence investors cautious approach to the stock. |
Just occurred to me that FBNH Q3,15 result is not audited so it might not be a true reflection of what FY'15 result will look like. "Following the preliminary review of FBN Holdings Plc (“FBNH” “FBN Holdings” or the “Group”) Management Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015, it is expected that earnings will be materially below that of the prior year. The reduction in earnings is as a result of the recognition of impairment charges on some specific accounts resulting from a reassessment of the loan portfolio within our commercial banking business.” “Our asset quality concerns have further been validated with today’s profit warning. The wording says earnings will be ‘materially lower’ than FY14 but we are unsure if this implies a loss or meagre earnings for the year. On our numbers, we currently forecast a 59-64% YoY decline in PBT and PAT for FY15 to NGN38bn and NGN30bn respectively, implying RoE of 5.7% down from 17% and 12% in FY14 and 9M15, respectively. Management’s CoR guidance post 9M15 results were 3.5%; we’re at 4%. Now, whether 2015 will be a proper kitchen sinking or just the beginning of a medium term asset quality clean-up is unclear but we will be receiving guidance from management post release of FY15 results which should be published late March.” The bolded were copied from Nairametrics and should serve as a warning to all concerned. However, I took the risk judging by the market reaction to other banks that posted results in which earnings were materially below previous year. I assume Mr market was comfortable with their prices, hence the only way they could go was up. You might not need to exit before markdown and still enjoy capital appreciation. FCMB N0.24k (2015) vs N1.12 (2014) ETI N0.56k (2015) vs N2.81 (2014) From the above which type of material are we talking about again? Disclaimer: If things turn out differently from anticipated........ OYO ![]() |
carpenter:Just exploring a possibility that the market could have over-reacted to the negative news surrounding this bank. Someone once predicted the bank will sell for N2 but I want to believe the market has factored the bad result into its current price. Anyway, my eyes are wide opened. First tranche @ N3.04, second @ N3.36/N3.37 |
NuttyChoky:LOL ![]() First Monkey.......counting..........who else? (na joke o) |
Finally, I summoned the courage to take final position in FBNH Something must happen between today and next week Friday. Same applies to Skye and Diamond.Na monkey hunting remain now o. You don see person wey dey talk bad about him own pikin? ![]() I believe the tier 1 banks will fare better in Q1 as seen in the not-too-bad results from GT,Zenith and UBA. By the time the market marries FY + Q1, FBNH fit grow my portfolio. Audited Q3 results already gave a PAT of N50b, EPS of N1.40. Q4 impairment no fit wipe am out, abeg. ![]() |
carpenter:And there are those that bought at N2.28 last week wednesday............27% as at today. Please, how else does JIJO work? No be to identify stock wey sabi jump upandan? ![]() |
NuttyChoky:At that price, it's a wish. I'm assuming there might be a slight pull back in few days. |
Raider76:What are the signs? ![]() For me, now is the time. Do your DD. You might be right though. |
My stock pick: Flourmill @ N19 or less, UACN@N19 or less, Conoil @ N16.50, FCMB @N0.91, FBNH @ N3.30 Serious DD required. I could be terribly wrong. ![]() |
Tigerbrand has made some people millionaires this year o. Making cool cycles while some people joked about the board/name changes instead of following the trend. |
sirflav:That stock hasn't touched N1 since February even with earning season effect. The trend is not bullish but it might have bottomed at 70k. |
sirflav:Wema might be involved in a merger/acquisition soon if word on the street is anything to go by. The profile/status of the other party would determine if it's a win for Wema shareholders or not. So it's not a BUY recommendation at all. |
PETERiCHY:Please show some respect to members of the forum too. Thanks. |
Coolcash1:Go and sin no more. ![]() |
Godisfaithful:I agree considering the economic headwind and difficult operating environment this Q1. However, the annualized might be too optimistic when you factor in impairments that will be incorporated by the end of the year. |
Intendy:The Q1 EPS from the result above is about 46k. The EPS of N1.96 is annualized (that is FY2016). |
Justcul:The campaign against is person should be aborted. It is not necessary. There is no need to go dirty on one another. |
http://nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/13323_FBN_HOLDINGS_BOARD_CHANGES_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_APRIL_2016.pdf Summary: Chief Risk officer retired while a replacement would be announced in due course AND a new ED, corporate banking announced. |
Health is wealth my people. Please ensure you take good care of yourselves. |
leo1234:No, it is not BUT in the case of additional companies you might need to do a mail and probably a followup call so that additional stocks (with same Registrar) enjoy the facility. You can find out more info from the Registars. |
fatjo: lafencer:Just so that you don't embark on this journey is the reason I'm responding to your post. It is most likely the registrars don't know what your signature looks like (#signaturespecimen) except you have been filling documents that capture your signature (#transferforms) when you place your mandates (buy/sell authorization) with your broker. It is either you get a banker's confirmation of signature addressed to the registrar concerned (make this request with your banker). The cost will probably be the transport fare for the journey proposed. Alternatively you get your broker to process transfer forms on your behalf (the cost implication here is the wait-time). Thereafter, you process e-dividend and make a request for all outstanding dividends with the registrar. NOTE: These issues have been exhaustively discussed in previous pages. Kindly do some research of your own by just using a search engine. It is the least expected of anyone that has access to the internet. |
ItGeek:If you bought Fidelity today, you would be entitled to dividend payment. Today is qualification date for Fidelity not closure. Closure is 18th -22nd April. |
For those interested in Oando.....but why this late hour? Position should have been taken long before now when the price was below N4. You can't tell the outcome of the meeting billed for this weekend neither the market reaction to the outcome. Early entry reduces your risk, if outcome is negative and guarantees higher returns if outcome is positive. The meeting was rumoured while Oando traded at about N3.30k. Buy the rumour, Sell the news. Just thinking aloud. |
ufotty2001:Well, not sure they did that for Zenith but you took advantage of that. Good morning. |
NuttyChoky:One of the primary responsibility of a receiver to a company is to settle debts owed by the company. AFREN shareholders are the ultimate losers. Creditors are given the priority before the owners of the company. |
ExLaidback:If you were expecting your dividend electronically and you still haven't received it just proceed to Veritas Registrars at Ajose Adeogun street, VI for pick up. Dividend warrants above a certain amount (prolly 50k) are often not sent by post for security reasons. The registrar withdraws them and keeps at their office. Owners can come with identification to claim them. If your expected dividend is not up to this amount, you might have to wait till it drops at your postal mail box. Yes, warrants were available for pick up as early as after completion of AGM on payment date. Lastly, your e-dividend application will not be processed if the registrars do not have your signature specimen submitted via transfer forms from your broker or via banker's confirmation of signature. It is immaterial whether the e-dividend was uploaded by your bank or not. |
Mfunkynation:ETI acquired oceanic. If you never bought Oceanic, then Betcindy might need to pay you a visit. |
betcindy:If you can, go to CSCS office at 2/4 Customs street. It's the same building with the NSE. Ask for your stock transaction history on ETI. It will cost you about N100 only and you would be out in minutes. |
Raider76:Make a copy of Zenith bank's dividend declaration, attach to your CSCS statement and drop with the Orijin retailer. May God be with you. |
Asmara:The only way out is that you do your BVN asap. I understand it's easier said than done but you gotta do it. |
