ufotty2001:I am speculating FBNH will break N4 comfortably tomorrow. ![]() |
If you can be patient, FBNH is a BUY. Do not act based on this recommendation. |
yrmybank:Make una no fight. All of us na speculators. There's no place for sentiments in the market. Eat or be eaten. Speaking of FBNH........I am heavy in FBNH as well. I wouldn't be bothered if it fell as he speculated . I have a target and I am prepared to wait it out. ![]() |
bolabiyi:You remind me of "bigass". ![]() |
ufotty2001: ufotty2001: ![]() Which one should we go with? |
spicytayomic:Reciprocated ![]() |
yrmybank:Lol..... errm, but market has a mind of its own sha. |
yrmybank:Oga yrmybank, the MPC meeting holds on Monday and Tuesday. The outcome of that meeting will have an effect on the market especially the banks. It will be wise not to jump in on Monday. Oando's record breaking loss is expected on or before 31st May (about a week from Monday). The company has warned us severally about this huge loss. No one knows if the warning and the subsequent market reaction have been exaggerated or not. Better to wait till the release date (it is at hand) and determine if it was exaggerated or not. Some might gamble by taking position ahead of the release of the result but I won't advise that. Those that bought well below current price have a good buffer. OPEC meeting is 2nd June but I don't expect any significant positive effect on the market (Iran has got serious beef for Saudi Arabia). I prefer Afriprud to UCAP at current prices. Market expectation of an interim dividend should drive this stock next month. With this few lines of mine, I hope I have succeeded in confusing you. ![]() |
Intendy:It is a lie. Ope o. I can finally bail out after 2yrs. I guess it has to do with the Transmar group deal. Long overdue. N0.75k here we come (just kidding). |
chuksmad:NEVER give a mandate without a price limit, especially a BUY. My mandates always come with price tags. Besides, gone are the days when we just deposit our hard-earned money for a broker to buy stocks for us. You must be market aware. Your broker might just be waiting for the stock to reach his own exit price and sell to you. You don buy monkey be that. You have a broker recommendation already. Good luck. |
It's either the subsidy arrears payment that was just made or a huge recovery was recorded. There's no other way a petroleum marketer owing the bank will benefit from this payment other than in the liquidation (full or partial) of the debt owed. It could also be that a good news is cooking. FCMB has got me thinking. What kind of bid is this at N1.42? To think I missed this bus because I was hoping it would drop to my junction sef. I'll just have to forgive myself. |
feelamong:Please tell them to look SKye's way too. FCMB far ahead now. Biko ![]() |
FCMB is crazy |
Thank God for your life, Chibuking. Meanwhile, is this how FBNH will be looking at UBA appreciating? ![]() |
UBA on a one-man army show. Oando doing some crazy swings. |
Coolcash1:I am in this bus o. Hmm.....what to do? ![]() |
akinola98:You bought a tranche, subscribed to e-dividend and then bought more in tranches. You didn't write the registrar to apply the e-dividend mandate to units purchased afterwards. Sadly, you are expected to do that. Once additional units are purchased, you are expected to notify the registrar to apply the existing mandate. |
feelamong:Seems so. FCMB, Transcorp, Oando, Eterna etc all looking good. Bulls got no chill yet. Watch your portfolio though. ![]() |
Pre-Market looks good. |
ORAGBON:Should I be bothered by this post? How did you arrive at this conclusion? Subtract the previous closing price from today's closing price. Divide the result by the previous closing price. Express it in percentage (i.e x100) Now try this with FCMB, FBNH and several others. (5marks) |
ukay2:Qualification: 15th June, 2016 Closure: 16th -22nd June, 2016 AGM: 27th June, 2016 You guys should always make use of the NSE website for simple info on dividends, results etc http://www.nse.com.ng/Issuers-section/corporate-disclosures/corporate-actions/closure-of-register |
bigjay01:I guess he is doing it innocently without any ulterior motive. @NuttyChoky I really can't figure out the difference between disclosing percentage gains or losses and actual portfolio holdings/gains. But I think sticking to percentage holdings, gains, losses disclosures ensures some sanity on a thread like this. It doesn't give room for profiling and makes everyone feel more comfortable. You never can tell the effect on a starter with a portfolio value of like 50k or a money bag with value of like 200m. While the starter is in awe, the money bag is disgusted (if he thinks your purpose is show off). |
lancee:This got me laughing real hard. Dem buy buy buy no be small as people dey wey dey sell sell sell. Investors spent a lot of money on GTB, Zen and FBN today. |
IHelp:You are the CEO of your portfolio but don't sell in a hurry. The market is repricing. I would watch the Oil stocks. At the point where optimism start to diminish, I will become fearful. They got the banks into this mess. Oando can't be bullish and the banks that lent money to it be bearish. If business is good for the likes of Oando, recovery is sure for the likes of FCMB. If devaluation is announced, expect increased optimism in the market. The dollar people will want to enter the market. Also keep your radio close by. Anything can happen. |
valacious:The same UBA that was available for N3.40 since o. They are back. Make them just bring better money sha. |
cadno:May God not allow us pull out/give up when our breakthrough is at hand. I have heard of people giving up due to lack of patience and perseverance only for what they have been seeking for to appear at the next minute. Grateful much o. |
On a serious note, is this not the best time for the board to release Skye's result? Same with Stanbic. Ride the bull and even if the result is bad, the stock might not be punished. |
I expect all portfolios to be buoyant. Congratulations everyone. From Diamond, FCMB, Transcorp, TIGER , livestock, Eterna, even the "bad" Oando. Don't go to sleep though. |
Agbalowomeri:There was a transfer made from the retained earnings to the non-distributable reserve as a regulatory requirement. It had to do with the difference in estimates of impairment charge for credit losses IFRS vs Prudential guidelines (CBN). It could trim if loan recovery efforts are successful. Anyway, all that na grammar. I no dey look Unity side until 2025 ![]() |
zendi:Haba! Those were Nsempa members not monkey hunters. |
Pharmaceuticals doing well except Evansmed. Ikejahotel might pull a TigerHEAD. |
ufotty2001:LOL...... what manner of man are you? ![]() |
