it's a game of 2 legs and we've done what we need do. An away goal is the most precious thing in Europe. . ask Ass,ask Real,.It's priceless and we've got it.

My problem is that we may be under some pressure for the Portsmouth game.Scholsey MUST play his life there to compensate.

Pity they scored the second.They are not that good . At least not at scoring. That probably explains why they are 20points behind Inter.But with Scholes out we were always going to have a problem.

Meanwhile,those Bayern guys know exactly what to do and when.They scare me.Phew.Milan is in trouble.If we go through Milan may be a better proposition or what do you think?

Europe is an exciting place to be and today was a wonderful night in Europe.Lets look at the strong points first

1.Wayne Rooney scored his first goal since the Fenerbache massacre and what a goal!Wazza has announced himself in Europe and he has scored at a time many were beginning to have doubts.His contributions was good.Great.

2.With 10 men from early in the game we were able to hold off a team that was touted by many to be fantastic and ready to run roughshod over everyone. Against vociferous support at the Olympico all we conceeded was 2 goals. If the situation were reversed I doubt the outcome would have been the same.

3.Our makeshift defence acquited themselves extremely honourably in the circumstances.Rio was good.Kudos to the guys who had to work overtime today.

4.Ronny did extremely well considering he had 3-4 escorts every time he touched the ball.OT will be so sweet.

5.We scored the all-important away goal. Very Crucial.

6.Apart from scholsy everone that played today should be eligible for OT next week.

Negatives:
1.scholsey: he should never mark.We will miss him in the second leg just like we missed him against Juve in 99 but hey ?

2.Saha needs to get back quickly and not go back again.I thought he could be the key today but well. . .

3.Our bench looks shaky . No excuses just looks abit shaky

Verdict:
We're still in it. Trust us to get things done the hard way. Roma will fall in OT. They are not that fantastic and really do not deserve to progress at least on today's performance. If roles were reversed I doubt again that outcomes would have been same. 2 goals was fantastic return for their profligacy. Like Benfica they will crumble .

Scholes is the master of mis-timed tackles and had already caused 3 freekicks around the 18.
The red card will make baba go to plan D. Everyone behind the ball except for 20le. Even with 1 man down these guys are not swarming over us.Good thing they do not have scorers.

We can still get something out of this but most likely from set plays.So far we've not threatened.

Can we nick it . I think we can still score which is most important now.

1st 10mins not too good for us but we are getting into the game.
We're playing a fairly compact game. Roma is very beateble if our guys fall back as they've done in the last 10.
Our guys will score but we are conceeding too many free-ficks around the 18.It's very dangerous.

The premiership looks like it's coming home.Today's display was fantastic especially the second half.Championship stuff.Brad Friedel looked like he was going to stand between us and victory.But his jazzman could not help him today.

HIgh points:
Edwin is back and had a relatively good game
Scholsy's back and firing .Fantastic solo goal
Ronaldo's+Giggsy still looking very good

Low points:
Vida's knock.Can we survive at the back without him and Gary for the next 3 weeks.
Rooney's bluntness in front of goal(we really need him to be sharper now).Check out 20le.
Carrick:Keeps playing in fits and starts

Still keeping up the pressure.We need to win all our home games and at most 2 away games to lift the trophy.

It is great to be united.

Roma's next on wednesday.

Is it fake?As long as some outcomes are predetermined or scripted it cannot be 100%real. Some top wrestlers(notably Jesse the Body Ventura)have come out to say all is not fully real. That is not to say that it will not be made to look real. The blood is real . The blows can be  real. They only exaggerate the drama and sometimes determine the outcomes to sustain/generate interest.

No one side can win this argument.This is clear though:

1.Monopoly is not good.

2.When monopoly is in the hands of a foreigner it is perceived as more harmful.

3.Responsible governments all over the world bend over to ensure that 'their own ' succeed at the detriment of Free Trade. US,UK ,China Japan,South Africa. . .everyone does it.

4.If you steal money and bring it back here it's bad but slightly better using it to build a golf course in Scotland or  a housing estate in South Africa,just slightly.
