guys great to be back.
very good game today.why?every single point we get from now will be fought for with blood. When you are everyone comes hard on you.If you beat them so what but if they sneak in a win it's news and they won't stop celebrating. It does not matter who.It really does not matter that Watford are bottom of the league, they have ambitions of staying up and they are sometimes even more difficult to beat easpecially as they are involved in roforofo fight.Today we did not spill much blood and still dominated especially toward the end.Sublime play at times.
Strong points in today's game:
1.Strong Vida(hey as always)
2.Clean sheet(some anxious moments[very few]but a clean sheet is always good for the spirit, no Silvestre abracadabra this time)
3.Correct response to Ass'nall's premiership title huh.(way to go guys,do the job, learn and move on )
4.Rooney finding his scoring boots at last(what a time guys, what a time)
5.Papa Henriks first in prem.I said if this guy nets 10 in all comps before he goes he would have been worth double his fee.the guy is sheer class.
6.O'shea,Richardson,20le,Kussack,Gaby(gaby is now second choice? shocked) played.Saha,Giggs,Scholes,Eddy,Evra well rested.
7.Maintain lead on chasing pack.Still 6 on Chelsea,11 on Pool and now 15 on Ass'naw.(please keep quiet about the game in hand until it is played)
8.60 points and 13 games to go
9.No injuries.
10.4 goals!Hey not bad for a day's job

Great confidence for next game, which again is the most important game of the season(now that we have taken care of Waford)
Spurs will be a hard nut to crack especially as delegates from MUHC(Man U Haters Club) are on dry fast and night vigil to ensure we lose. They will get the disappointment they deserve.

If we can take care of Spurs great, as our next  will be at home before UCL and FA 5th round.Less pressure if we grab the maximum 6 before then. But first stop Spurs on Sunday.

Keep scoring keep winning

@Reds,
off to the next round.could not see most of the match but good to see wazza on the scoresheet.

i have a little concern though, we seem to be conceeding some late goals these days.Villa(2),Reading,Newcastle,Arsenal,Portsmouth, We have not kept a clean sheet in the last 6!That's dangerous especially as we get to crucial stages of UCL and FA Cup.

@fatliar,
your question is pertinent and must also be taken into consideration in whatever the plans are.

The greatest lesson of the 2006 fiasco is that qualifying for the world cup is NOT our birthright.I have feeling that for us to go anywhere(qualify or do well or win)we must have a football fanatic at the helm or as No 2 .Our major successes have come under such regimes. What do you think.

I have little pity for mikel. He was obviously misled but he needs to learn some lessons now rather than later. The guy is good and will still shine under another manager or another club.Imagine players like Eboue,Ronaldo,Fabregas,RVP,Lennon, etc under The Lip.They would have been history by now.
If he is released on loan the better for him(not sure if that can happen now).He will probably play regularly anywhere else.More importantly though his work ethic must improve.
He is still young(even if not 21) and has fantastic playing years ahead.

About time. The likes of Obagoal,RVP(now of blessed metartash?t memory),etc need mention in the polls.I especially think Oba will cross 15 this season and a game with one hatrick can get him even close to 20.Ronaldo needs 7 to cross 20.It is possible. He's scored 13 in 24 already. That's better than the one in 2 games good striker average.

Again is Ronaldo a forward or a midfielder?

I heard a few minutes ago that we'll know for sure by thursday.Something tells me that Bayern will not release the guy this January. They need him and don't forget there's the little problem of RVN going to Real even though they felt he was already in their grasp. You cannot rule out some eta'nu.
If we cannot get him by thursday we need to quickly move on and decide what to do in one week. But it would have been nice knowing we have him and Uncle Henrik solely for the prem and FA Cup .It will give our 3 prong title challenge a big boost.
Still hoping kiss tongue

Rossi has always been good.I guess he just did not fit into Roeder's plans. That guy will do well if given the opportunity.Glad to hear he's already scoring!

I feel really bad for Chevvy. His legendary status is being seriously threatened. The likes of Gullit,Vialli,Zola, etc have all come to Chelsea and left with their reputations intact(enhanced?).I hope Chevy does so without necessarily winning trophies if you catch my drift.I've always admired the guy.
SportsRe: Can Nigeria Win The 2010 World Cup? by manu4laif: 6:42pm On Jan 24, 2007
Nice one.
To answer the question we need to learn from those that have won
1.What did they do?
2.How did they do it?
3.When did they start?

So far only 7 countries have won and 5 have won at least twice. However though France won it only once(98)as hosts, they were not at the previous edition(94).We did not go in 2006 and really 2010 can be said to be an African show. What can we learn from France which became the first new country after 20 years to win. They must have done something apart from just being hosts considering that they are the only hosts to have won in the last 3 decades. Also the fact that they crashed out in the first round of the very next World Cup means there must have been something really special about 98.What was it?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by manu4laif: 6:09pm On Jan 24, 2007
You said so after your demolition of which team was it the other day and see what happened after?
should we take you serious this time?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by manu4laif: 6:04pm On Jan 24, 2007
No doubt.
There's an edge to his game. He's gone through a lot of conditioning training which has made him less fragile than he used to be.
He does not go to ground that easily any longer even though he is one of the most tackled players in the prem.
He is lethal in front of goal.
His other contributions are equally immense.

If he continues with this form and we win the prem and also do quite well in Europe he would definitely be a hot contender.

Any news from bayern?

This boy has had a fantastic season and the stats are in support.

Enjoy.

Ronaldo is top dog
Now the statistics back it up - Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the best player in the Premiership.

The Portuguese winger is ranked in first place in Actim Index's player ratings system.

Ronaldo has been in sensational form this season, prompting assistant manager Carlos Queiroz to comment this week: "Cristiano was born to be the best in the world."

The 21-year-old is the club's top scorer with 13 goals, just one behind Premiership leading scorer, Didier Drogba.

Actim Index, the league’s official statisticians, rank Ronaldo above the Chelsea striker in their ratings system, which awards points for a positive impact on matches.

His figures are impressive. Actim Stats show that this season he has contributed 61 shots on target, 38 tackles, five clearances, seven interceptions, one block, 87 dribbles, 59 crosses and 461 passes in 1,970 minutes of football.

His first-place ranking follows several awards in recognition of his excellent form. He has already earned two Premiership Player of the Month awards this season and was recently given the title of Portugal’s Sportsman of the Year for 2006 ahead of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Man Utd Vs Arsenal: The Die Is Cast! by manu4laif: 4:33pm On Jan 24, 2007
@jk,
Beating man u is a season high for most clubs so you can't stop the adrenaline from flowing.Celebrations are in order but when it turns to denigration people really need to be reminded of the big picture.

THE LEAGUE IS NOT OVER YET.NEITHER IS IT WON BY WINNING ONE GAME.TRULY ANYONE CAN STILL WIN THE LEAGUE.

The only thing is we have our destiny right where it should be IN OUR HANDS,not hoping that Spurs or City or Waford will do the job for us.As long as we keep winning we keep up the pressure.Points will be dropped by ALL.So it's being clever by half saying Man U will drop points.Man U dropped points on Sunday but so did Chelsea. So things evened out at the top.Who's sure of next week.Since we all seem to have become mathematicians now (@Viera Einstein)then one can say that all we need is to win 12 games and we should have wrapped up the prem.Is that farfetched?I do not know but with all due respect if Gooners think they can catch up with a 12 point deficit (winning at least 4 more games than United )why can't the Reds dream of winning the required 12?or at least do enough to win the prem.
Just for the sake of argument let us assume that Man U wins say only 7 of its 14 remaining matches, that is 7 wins.Arsenal must win at least 11 to stand any chance of lifting the prem(hoping also that Chelsea and Liverpool keep losing). Is that possible .You tell me.Gunners will also need serious 'help' from Waford,Blackburn,Bolton,
Spurs,Chelsea,Fulham,Portsmouth,Everton,City,Pool, etc to make sure MU does not get more than 7 wins.If you ask me I do not think Man U will lose anything near 21 points(I may be stupid but I just don't think so).We have 10 points in our first 5 games of the second half.If we keep this form(that will be about 30 points) it will be difficult for anyone to catch us.Arsenal must win all of its matches to tie us on points. Is that possible, yes.Is it probable? Not so sure
Chelsea?A 2-game cushion is very easy to make up,that is true. What Chelsea needs however is the consistent run that is associated with the championship race. They've not had it in the last 6 games ,but will they ?I doubt they will get that run in time to make a heated challenge. After our game against West Ham it was a 2-point game now it's 6.Probably still counting. If they do not get that run then any points dropped by Man U will not count. These are purely my views.
Liverpool? They have managed to have some consistency in their last few games and are putting the pressure upstairs. However, they still need to surmount the same 4-game disavantage that the Gooners have.

A lot can happen over 14 games yes,but as analysts we must always base predictions on that which we see or know not what we hope will happen.

Will there be a charge by all sides ? Yes.
Does Man U seem like collapsing in this race ?From this standpoint,No.

Keep scoring,keep winning

] You can’t moan if you are 12 points behind. It is for a reason. Now we just have to grab the points we can grab
] At the moment it is a great win don’t get me wrong but, as I said, I would rather be top of the League than do the double [over Manchester United].
These quotes are from a sober Henry after all the paraga of sunday night.I hope other paraga drinking gooners will redirect their minds.Anyway, expectations are probably different .

@bolaoni,jk,toptho,
thanks for saying it as it is.Let them keep their own premiership,we still have ours to win.
It's Portsmouth in the FA Cup and Watford next.I think we should get back to winning ways, sooner rather than later,eh?
