Unfortunately I do not feel bad cos even though you won we are still 6 points ahead of the closest team and it's not even you.In 05 when we trouced you H/A(2-0,4-2) I didn't feel too good cos it did not really affect our prem  that season.I feel happy for you though  cos I know expectations are different.

We are yet to lose away to them in the prem in the last 5 seasons.We actually whipped them 4-2 in 05 remember John 'Eric Cantona" O'shea's final killer strike that silenced Highbury that night.
Their win at OT was the odd win in 9. So much for all the noise.

Guys beware MUHC is being resurrected again(Man U Haters Club).Now even Chelsea guys are putting on their torn/faded/dirty Emirates shirts today in solidarity.Na wa o!!!

@martlett i also don't know but the last time it was 0-0.In 9 league games with us H/A your first win was at OT last year(kudos).

I placed a bet on today's match with a vindictive(?)(remorseful is a better word) Chelsea fan who now believes Arsenal youth system is the best in the world.(He became convinced yesterday after the Liverpool game even though Arsenal did not play).We'll come back to that later.
Point is Man u will beat Arsenal,why?
1.Because both teams are on fire and when that happens we almost always have the edge.
2.We have a knack of halting these your proud trophies or is it plaques no sorry records, unbeaten in all evening games, unbeaten when wearing yellow strip in the afternoon, unbeaten when Lehman is wearing a cap ,bla bla bla.Knock ,knock ,we are here again.
3.The pressure is now even.We have a chance to go 9 points, you can close up on Pool.Lets see who can handle it better.
4.We are still giving you the respect you deserve and will keep the scoreline respectable.
5.I had said 2 weeks ago that the match will end with a 2goal scoreline(or margin).I stand resolutely by this.

1.Southend?those things happen.That's what Cup runs are all about, fairy tale stuff.If losing to Southend will make us win the League so be it.
2.We last won in 2003.And before that 2001,2000,1999.What's the point really?
3.I remember that day (Sillyvan).But as you try so hard to show that happened in the past.Right?We have enough sweeter memories to wipe out that stain.

Even if a sports dummy was to buy into your theory, weren't they flying high when we went to OT and beat them, Haven't we beaten Tottenham and Liverpool 3 times, Did Chelsea beat us at the Bridge, Did we lose to blackburn with 10 men FFS We lost to Westham, didn't the same High quality Man united lose to the hammers , We drew with Newcastle, what did the High quality Man United play with Newcastle .

The difference between Arsenal and Man united this season has been CONSISTENCY , which the Mancs have (to their credit) been able to achieve.

And what wins the league if not consistency.Problem with ass'nall you neva see the big picture.That's why you celebrate pyrrich victories,unbeaten runs(did not concede goals in 690 minutes 22 seconds and 4 micro seconds) and yet happily collapse to Bolton,Fulham,10-man Sheffield (abi you wan count Jagielka),Man City and still counting.


Just like we did for 2 straight seasons spanking you home and away(2-0,4-2,etc.that is spanking you will agree ) you have troubled sleep and will sleep no more. Scores?Another spanking.Watch out for Senderos new husband.

In which of the games were we lucky?
I know it's far from over but if we keep winning it may soon be.Man U will drop points but so will Chelsea.We need to lose 2 games which Chelsea must win for them to catch up.Is that possible.Very.Will it happen?That is another thing.

However,Mourinho has not been behind at this stage in the last 2 years.Chelsea is not messed up but they are having the blip which everyone has.It's not just the draws,it's the struggle to win(it's been on since the Arsenal game.Even when they win they struggle, Everton,Wigan)Now the small guys do not fear Chelsea .After Boro,Spurs,Reading,Fulham Villa everyone must believe they have a chance.
Will they recover?I think so.But as long as they don't start a winning run soon it's unlikely Chelsea will really contest for the trophy .

Up Man U! I still we wish had players in the mould of ERIC CANTONA the great! But hey Chelsea is looking so messed up this season.

The best season we had in the last 10 years was 1999 when we won the treble.In Europe that year we were unbeaten and we met the likes of Barca and Bayern in the early stages Inter,Juve and Bayern again in the KO stages,no losses and no Cantona.After that we still won the League in 2000,2001 and 2003 , still without Eric the Red.
He was great no doubt ,maybe the best in our era but we are building a new generation of quality  match winners.Look at Ronaldo.If he continues this way I am sure he would be a contender for European or World Footballer of the year sooner rather than later.And that is only one person.I can assure you that Monsieur Cantona will be very happy with what we have today.

The Lip cannot match SAF when it comes to mind games.Quote me.He has tried but I repeat cannot sway the man.SAF does not get carried away by such.He should take his battles to the field and start winning matches.Those are the games he should play and win,not mind games.In any case SAF has been at this job long enough(even before The Lip started his interpreter job in Spain to know that mind games are just what they are , "MIND GAMES".
Correction:Mind games was not what killed Man U in the last 2 seasons.I hate to give excuses when we lose so I will not be drawn into any arguments.You do not lose the League you can only win it and for all the Jam body football that Chelsea plays you won the League because you were the most consistent side at the time .Simple.

Chelsea's problem is how to manage this unusual success that has simply just happened.While The Lip has been mouthing around others have restrategised and results are showing.It is refreshing to see that a team is topping the League and playing really attractive footaball to wit.Not since 2004 have we seen that.

Scoreline?I'll tell you a day before.

Great game again by us today.It's great to be red.Even neutrals are beginning to agree that there is something special about this 06/07 squad.
Another great fairy tale start.Henrik plays well and scores on his debut.If he scores 10 before end of March in all comps that will be fantastic return.He's 35 yet so strong.Let our 29/30 year old Eagles learn one or 2 things.
At this rate we seem unstoppable.
However I noticed something worrisome.Our goal conversion  ratio is getting low.We had 10 attempts at goal in the 1st half and no goal.That's dangerous when playing against some sides who soak up pressure and nick one in the 88th minute.Wazza works hard but seems to fritter away quite a few chances.We may not always be lucky.Villa should have been buried in the 1st half especially with their tentative keeper who was finally exposed by 20le.
Still a lot to be happy about though.No Vidic,no Scholes,no Saha,no Heinze,no Van.Methinks we coped quite well.

Next stop Villa.Poor Martin.

Great post.Couldn't have been expressed better.
For the uninformed(uninitiated)the Lip may be making a point.However his ploy may actually backfire because:
1)You don't play mind games with the master.
2)If John Terry's absence(and Petr Cech)is the cause of the blip then they are in for more blips.Even if JT resumes today will he just get his rhythm back 100% from game 1.The informed know that may not happen .There could be some psychological lift but you shouldn't  build houses on that.
3)Even if Chelski buys in January will they will fit in from day one.Maybe,maybe not.
4)MU is playing some really sublime football and are yet to surrender their lead.Confidence is high.Unlike Chelski,low on morale,name calling,blaming,etc.
5)MU is not really concerned with what goes on in Chelsea.SAF has urged(warned)his wards to ignore the Lip and they are showing that week in week out on the pitch.In any case all his(the Lip) theories seem to have fallen short this season, leading by Xmas,etc.
6)The Lip shold be more concerned that they could not cut the lead by 2 points when MU drew at St.James'.He should be concerned that a 2 point lead after the West Ham game is now a 6 point lead. That he could only muster 6 points in 4 games over the Xmas stretch should be of bother to him not if Man U is now leading by 10 points.
7)If the Lip does not start paying attention to how he will win the next match to restore some confidence,he will soon start losing matches.Then the free fall(yakata) will start.For now Chelsea is probably the only team(with hammers and watford I guess)yet to record a win in their last 3 games.It could be 4 at Liverpool, then MU will be the least of Chelski's problems.

We struggled to make it to the 2nd round cos typical reds we do things the hard way.We were 9 points ahead by the 3rd day and we did not reach an accord in the last game to top our group.Clear to all.We've learnt our lesson not to underrate anyone.At least we can even underrate .Who can you underrate?Sheffield?Fulham?Bolton?
We are still very much in it and will continue to take one game at a time.

This is a game we should have wrapped up in the first half.Too many missed scoring chances in the first half(Ronny,Wazza,JSP,etc) and marking was not strong in the second for crucial parts of the game(Gary was the worst culprit).Scholsy was fantastic.Ronaldo,Giggsy,hmmn.The second goal was needless as better marking by Gary might have prevented  it.Typical English defending.Hey give it to Newcastle they fought.Created few chances but you can't fault their never say die spirit.Truth is we should have won  but we didn't.
10 points out of 12 is not a bad haul though.We need to put this behind us quickly.Good it's coming so early and it's a wake-up call that every point will be earned the hard way.When we stumbled against Ass'nal we came back.Same against Chelsea and West Ham.I pity Villa and the rest.
Nothing spoil at all.We have 54 points with 22 games gone.We need 32 points or less from 15 games to be sure of the prem.Quote me.
We can make it .The pressure is on us but we can cope.Guess what? Scholes is locating his scoring boots,Ronny is on double figures,Wazza and Saha are waiting in the wings, Larsson is coming on board this weekend.We have all to play for.

Chelsea still has to win tomorrow to make it a 4 point game else it's 5 or 7.

This is a really bad spell for the Ass'nall.What annoys me is the way some so-called gunners talk.When you beat Blackburn 'see the best football team in the world',when Sheffield United with a standby keeper whips you it's the pitch or other balderdash.Ass problems are much deeper than the field,or congested fixtures,or physical opposition and would not be solved this season or next.No great side displays such inconsistently pathetic displays .Quote me.

Excuses are the hallmarks of failure.Chelsea never gave excuses for the seasons they won the Champs.Neither did you when you won
You scream yourself hoarse beating MU(which you actually played well)but open your behind for 5 other premiership sides to whip .At this rate you will lose to most of the teams in the prem before the end of the season.Watch out for Charlton and Man U this month.No be curse but you may actually lose 6 matches between now and end of the season.Not to talk of the draws at Sosoliso.(Even Uefa may be hard for you )Quote me
