I lost my voice yesterday so I could not post. It's still bad so

Another memorable night in Europe. If we had lost by a goal I would have taken it, I would have grabbed a draw with both hands but a win?! That's pure ecstasy!!

Why? I neva believed we'd hold out with our patched up defence. It showed in the first half.Kaka was brilliant and all the videos were not like the man in person. The 2 goals were the wake-up call for the 2nd half of pure magic. I cannot analyse jack cos my voice is gone.

Just a few positives
1.Our destiny is in our hands(San Siro is a fortress bla bla bla . So was Turin in 99).
2.We still have pure gold even further down the team. SAF keeps digging in and finding some reserve.When you cage Ronaldo some others will step in. We have countless potential match winners in the team
3.Rooney is announcing himself strongly in Europe.
4.Our strength is in our breath taking relentless attacking style of play.The boys kept on going forward till the final whistle.
5.Our running on and off the ball tired the Milan guys toward the end.

Negatives?
I said I've lost my voice.

I am truly proud to be UNITED.

Mind games are what they are mind games.They tend to divert attention and get people dissipating energies on irrelevances.What is relevant for now is that The Lip could not take advantage of MU's blip and cut the lead to a 'Destiny in my hands' 1 point. If he had won the issue of the penalty would not arise. He would have been screaming 'I TOLD YOU SO'.
Like Wenger never used to see Pires' dives or Keown's tackles The Lip sees or hears only what he wishes. Such comments should never be taken seriously,at least not by dispassionate serious minded people.My view.

I am scared because our back is suspect and this game could even expose us more.

I am hopeful though cos,

1.SAF is one of the best tacticians in the World . He is the Sorcerer's Sorcerer
2.We are not expected to win this game and the underdog tag suits us just fine.

It sounds strange his winning the young player award but that is how much he has grown in stature that he is no longer considered a youth. I agree with the opinion that maybe it should have gone elsewhere but then maybe his name should have been omitted in that category totally. If he wins the PFA and he's nominated for young PFA then . . .

This is the most unconvincing back 4 I have come across in a while.     I'm afraid we may look like the away team this game . To compound issues we don't seem to have a bench. If we come out of this game without losing or conceding more than 1 goal we can still make amends at San Siro. Unless we keep piling pressure that defence will likely concede goal(s).

. . . .What gives me some comfort is that we seem to thrive on doing things the hard way. Things don't come harder than this.

The last 4 games will be the tightest and most nerve wracking we've ever seen . Same for Chesshit. I however think we have done just about enough to nick it. We must lose more than 3 points and Chelsea must win all 4 games at the same time for them to win. Possible , yes, probable maybe not. Baring any major catastrophe we should win it. Good thing we will still meet them so again our DESTINY IS VERY MUCH IN OUR HANDS.

You will be playing with an eye on UCL and will not concentrate fully. Arsenal,Everton,Man U? I don't envy you. You guys simply looked out of ideas today.

They couldn't take advantage and so it's back to square 1.
Never count your chicks before hatching. . . .common sense.

Now we can learn one or 2 things about their weaknesses and if they are not out of the running by the time we meet then we can nail them for good.

Another cup final today and better we earned a draw(than lose) and still have our destiny in our hands. As it is we still don't have to win all our matches to win the title. In any case Chelsea still has to WIN tomorrow to TAKE ANY ADVANTAGE so all these chaps should not have premature ejaculation.

The run-in was always going to be tough and Boro showed a lot of spirit. Our defence has conceded in the last 5 games seconds after injuries to players. Sometime ago it was Vidic,today Rio, the other day Rio again, then it was Van der Sar's nose,then Gary, and so on.Goals against P/mouth,Blackburn,Watford Boro and Roma have come virtually seconds after trying to reorganise from an injury. We need to deepen concentration when we have those problems. As we have seen today we will NOT always get lucky with goals so we must stop conceding.

We've played our game and have gotten a result , not the one we desire but a result . We need to move on . As at today it's a 4 point game now and there's still everything to play for.

Meanwhile is there a fitness issue or simple coincidence, else why are so many of our defenders picking up knocks. Apart from Saha, most of our injury worries have been at the back.

My fear for our injured trojans is that they are not yet fit to play in the reserves(I think) and that lengthens their probable date of return. Now Evra!Milan's next week oh

Did not get to see the game but was nevertheless delighted that we took care of a potential banana peel.Better play mid table guys than these relegation or Euro hopefuls. Carrick is nicking it just at the right time and Rooney seems to have found his 'Hot Shot Hamish' boots. This is great as it is increasingly difficult for the opposition to pin one or 2 guys,others will simply raise their game.

I actually feel more confident meeting Boro now and we should win comfortably. If West Ham do themselves proud today I believe we'd have one hand on the trophy. 

If Chelsea lose today they will lose at least 2 more games in the run-in.     Remember this post when it happens(Chelsea will drop a minimum of 9 points if they lose  to the Hammers today).

When Pedersen lost that glorious opportunity to wrap up the game, i was distraught and i knew Chelsea would surely punish 'em. Shoot! I was a blackburn fan today, why? Just to make this noise of a Quadruple go down. Chelskites have been making too much noise. Somthing i know is that its IMPOSSIBLE to win all 4 trophies!. Why? To be candid, i am as scared as Sh! t about the FA cup final, because of our thin squad and chelsea's never say die spirit. They've been highly impressive in all spheres. Who says Money can't buy success?

not to worry about the FA Cup final,it will be in a month's time when hopefully all the injured guys would have been back.

My immediate worry is the league and how to maintain the momentum in spite of our worries. I think Sheffield and Boro should fetch 6 in the bag(no disrespect) and then the last 4 will be fast and furious.

We will get 2 sharper strikers for half the price or even Berbatov. Baba WILL NEVER go for Owen . At least not now. He is not stupid.

Hi guys.
Now we are in the final of the FA Cup and for the first time I am dreaming of a double but lets see. In terms of priority for me this season this ranks the lowest after the prem(No 1) and the UCL (No2). I am nevertheless excited

Next stop we have to handle Sheffield and Boro at home to consolidate on our position. Some people said we slipped and are now under pressure but I assure you that all managers in the prem including(or rather, especially) The Lip will prefer this kind of pressure to their present position.

We have so far been able to handle our injuries (by winning 9 of our last 11,all comps)but we are getting thinner . Now Rio is out and I hope it's not serious else we're in real trouble . I am not convinced about Gaby, he's too excitable. Even though we have won we have not kept a clean sheet in the last 6. That's  real cause for concern as we approach the next few weeks.

Rooney's peaking and Smudge is gradually getting back to his game. We desperately need the injured guys to begin to come back to strenghten the team. . .Gary,Vida,Saha,Park,even Silvestre

The next 4 weeks will be interesting. If Chelsea wins we will be battling them on at least 2 fronts. It will be so sweet to have their scalp and ba?ls for supper.

I expressed my fear of Bayern last week. However ,every opposition is tough at this stage and really we'd just make do with whoever goes through.

SAF's selection was effective to the 'T'.

A bit disappointed that some peeps seem to have lost their voice. If Roma had qualified (Amadioha forbid)this thread would have been desecrated.  Now we know most of the 'analysis' is just bad belle. That helps.
