vicade: I am tired. I will not be voting for Buhari in 2019. I campaigned for him online and offline and i am disappointed. These billions and the npower billions and aso rock budget billions and so many other billions can be spent on much more serious things. I am not in government but the hardship is real. I believe Government should mainly focus on Education,Security,Health and Food Security. To get these four things in Nigeria is now elitist.Yet all we hear is billions to revive the economy.
My poeple dont be shocked if by the end of the year they tell you GDP has improved and IMF Declares the recession over yet you are spending even more money on Cooking Gas,Indomie,Pure water, Gala and the likes. If the price of indomie and gas doesnt go back to the price it was prior to recession or my earnings dont improve to curb the inflation, then how can man survive ? However watch out, all these billions is a setup for December so that they will say recession is over when hardship will be rife and only GOD knows what dollar would be then.
As for we youths, These old guard cant help us. If you are young start processing Canada and relocate. If you can, give birth to your children in the USA so they can get citizenship. Nigeria is a dead country. Even if you have money your life is not secure which is sad because the first mandate of Government is security of life and property.
If you ask Fashola how many MW is needed for nigeria to be an industrial nation i am sure he wont know. Even power wont solve our problem. There is light in America, yet so many stuff are made in mexico and even iphone is assembled in China not america. Its just sad. All sectors in this administration is failing. I have great pity for the youths and the next generation.
It is unfortunate that in your anger, I see a lot of ignorance and no commitment to revert it. Let me address some of them briefly
1.
....mainly focus on Education,Security,Health and Food Security.
Education - Empower Teach, School Feeding programme, Security - Decimation of Boko-Haram, Replenishment of Armory, Partnerships of States with private Sector on Security (LSSTF, Osun, Rivers, Kano, Ogun, Imo etc) Food Security - Renewed Drive in Rice Revolution - Rice plantations in Northern and Eastern States, Tomato strategy currently being championed by VP, Cocoa export launch etc
These are work in progress and results will not come in a jiffy. The challenge I see with the likes of you is that you want instant gratification and not willing to go the distance. It is better we put the system that will make the result sustainable rather then quick fixes that falls by the way side

At the expense of trying to rationalise the sense in the above, I ask how do you draw nexus between improved GDP yet prices of local commodities goes south? If our ability to produce locally improve radically, definitely prices will normalise and will come down. Or how do you expect the price of stapple food to come down when we continue to import many of these food items, thus putting constant strain on the Dollar?

You are at liberty to process immigration to Canada or any other place........but think of it, if some people get to fix the country, will you be deserving of a revamped Nigeria?
4.

Now you just made statements that gave you away as totally ignorant. Before Fashola became minister of Power, the estimated power demand for the country had been calculated. Lagos state and Enugu state had done Energy audit as at 2014........ But while you're at it, let me ask you.....since you say there is light in America, do you know what (how long, what quantum of investment? complexity of the commercials?) it takes to put light like in America? Nigeria's power demand is in excess of 100GW, the grid capacity today is 7.5GW, We do not have a single plant that can generate say 5wg...... So let's say bar pipeline be blown up in ND, our current generating capacity is around 6gw. to get up to half of our demand is simply 10yrs away in my estimates.
So the question is are you ready to accept a reality of this nature or you want to remain in ignorance and continue to wail?
CaptPlanet: This habit of sharing and disbursing money in Nigeria does not do jack instead it makes people more dependent.
Why not invest the money in structures or use them to create better programs that will empower people and make them independent. Share this one today and tomorrow they'll come back for more....
If money is "invested" in "structures"....the likes of you will cry "people are hungry"....... Now money is invested in petty traders' businesses to help grow their earning potential, you complain.........hope say if God blesses you, you will not complain..........
phemocheee: I just tire for our security men. Why tell us for Christ sake? Now the remaining 18 kidnappers will have enough time to relocate their victims and probably increase the ransom. Police should be held responsible if anything happens to the victims.
Una mouth go just dey run like tap anyhow. Mtschee
hyfr: Those women carrying placards or whatever its called are shameless mothers. Tho I'm a pro GEJ. What's wrong in probing his wife? They just paid them to come and she their families in public
Spot on. I can hazard a guess that those placards were written and given to the hungry, illiterate and shameless idi.ots masquerading as women/mothers. Imagine useless captions
LUGBE: : We are tired of that news, enough is enough.
Look at how FG under your leadership is suffering the masses
What is this one saying This is court opening rwmarks for a case of corruption. One would think that a sane person would be angered by such wanton stealing, not blaming FG for catching the thief!
....definitely, a sane person will not "excuse" corrupt judges
Sibrah: Why isn't he using the proceeds of these phantom industrial assets to run the state? Stop foòling your own self. I have been following Osun before Aregbe became governor there are no real industries in Osun. Where has he exported his products to?
Ok. continue to assuage your thirst for ignorance as you wish. You have been following Osun state as you claimed yet you obviously do not know about a simple industry that was revamped and restarted less than 24months ago?
Sibrah: I hope Aregbe is watching what his mates are doing. They are investing in industries that will increase their IGR, help Nigeria reduce importation, and save forex while Aregbe and Fayose are busy sharing money and food to make their predecessor and others look incompetent.
I think wisdom requires you to check things out before running your mouth (or fingers) wrong. You come out as more ignorant than the person you hope to deride.
Aregbesola in 2015 inaugurated among some others a cocoa factory in Ede, GSM assembly plant in collaboration with a Ghanian investor.
Alonu: I expect more from Nairalanders abeg. Obviously the girl in the instagram picture wasnt Ajimobis daughter, she just happened to bear the same surname and aired her own opinion. Saharareporters obviously in their usual way didnt post the complete video of what happened that day with Ajimobi.
Social media has not been fair on Gov. Ajimobi, going by this video. How come it was the cut part that was let loose to go viral and not the whole thing. From these two videos, it showed that the matter was even resolved right on the spot and they all "made up"
adecz: Some ppl are really daft for saying the place does not look like a forest. Do you think that the pictures were taken in Sambisa forest? Or you think there is airport in the dreaded forest. These pictures were taken in Abuja airport or Air Force base, prior to taking off for Borno State. They will probably fly over the areas of the forest to give them an idea of how extensive it is, to enable them appreciate the efforts of our gallant troops..... :/
are you minding the fools? They cannot comprehend what they struggle to read
three: Is Minister Mohammed still seating on the board of KNIGHTSBRIDGE DREDGING? A company he owns? Do this people ever learn abi does he want to do a #BabachirLawal
Knightsbridge is the same dredging company indicted by Fashola for illegal dredging in Lagos in June 2012
Esseite: Good opinion.. was just thinking in line with the kind of politics we play in this country..
If you go back in history.. so much has been said about rail projects and billions of dollars spent.. nothing to show..
Is it not a point of concern that the same minister that abandoned a monorail project is opting for another within a time frame of 2 years untill this adminitration gives way?.
The masses have waited for too long for jamboree projects. From my opinion, better, wider, standard road cutting across every nook and cranny would serve us better for now while we keep hoping for the rail project
Aside your misinformation about Rivers Monorail project (except you purposely choose to be insincere to yourself), your "opinion" for "better, wider, standard road cutting across every nook and cranny " is not a smart solution. In the first place, one of the the major reasons why our roads are dilapidated is because of the impact of heavy duty trucks moving heavy goods that should ideally be moved by rail or barge.
Esseite: Good point, yes they earn their money... but we know the politics we operate in this country...
Why did amechi not think of earning those proceeds from the abandoned monorail project.. we play dirty politics, that is why i feel a leader should do that he can do within his tenure. We all know 4 years is a good number of years for a project.
1. The only person you should direct the issue of the abandoned monorail project to is Wike, who it was that abandoned the project 2. Some projects will need more than 4years to complete, considering all the critical stages and the fact that the capital cost will have to be sourced from other corridors aside govt pockets
Believe it or not, these are all GEJ's projects. I am yet to see any new project conceived by this Buhari/APC govt
How? From the write up above, GEJ neither initiate the project nor execute the project: are you just defficient intellectually or you choose to open your mouth as you wish?
shehuolayinka: Me think this is rubbish. You are inviting civilians to war front and you expect them not to ask what security will be like. So you expect them to join you, without knowing what is on ground. Funny country
Did you follow the trend of exchange of letter? Did you read the report? You are just making faulty conclusions. The BBOG group stated their intention to join on the sortie, but gave ridiculous conditions which neither has to do with the search nor with the girls. Rather they wanted to invariable "conduct" a National Security meeting and wanted Buratai's apology on something that had nothing to do with the FG, Military or Buratai himself
She is now using the advantage of my high sexual drive, that no matter how we quarrel and not talking to her, that it wont last long as she is very sure that i cant hold myself but MUST surely come to her for sex, which once done, the misunderstanding automatically resolves itself through the bed.
Sex, apart from serving its primary purpose, also serves as a wound healer between couples. So, it is not a surprise that your misunderstandings do come to an end when you have sex with your wife.
On your wife's part in capitalizing on this seeming weak point of yours, hmm. I'm sorry, she'd always wield that power over you.
Besides, I don't think she's always entirely without remorse. This is because if she wasn't remorseful and willing to reconcile with you, she wouldn't have even want to have sex with you!
There's really nothing you can do. Misunderstandings must always come, but the most important thing is reconciling the differences. So then, thank God for sex....
FortuneTeller: Nigerians are too gullible. You don't understand how things work in the "West". The statement says the man was removed as editor. It does not mean he has lost his job. He will probably take some time off, work until this calms down, then receive a different job with the same pay. Investigate in 6 months time and you will see this is true.
Someone should take David's case up and sue Manchester United, Get them to show beyond reasonable doubt that the former editor has been laid off and compensation be paid to David
davidif: The hypocrisy on this thread is sickening. When Nigerians attack there fellow Nigerians on here you guys don't seem to be outraged now that someone else is doing it you are forming anger. Disgusting.
People go at each other here because they use personal handles which hardly bear any consequeces. The moment you're using an official handle or an organisation, you need to understand that you're no longer the one talking, but the organisation and that anything you say will be viewed as the official communication of the organisation. Invariably, it meant that MANCHESTER UNITED as an organisation called Nigerians scum
Mannylex: This is a very good step taken by MUFC. Seems the editor was clearly high on something or was just set out for doom. Who in his right state of mind in social media age does that? When with just a screen shot you are trending world wide. ... Indeed "who the gods want to kill, they first make mad"....
When I saw David Adediran's complaint on twitter and how influencers took his case up, I knew the ManU editor was toast. I also wondered if there was a drug, alcohol or "spiritual" influence on the editor at the time he was twitting or he was just over-reaching himself. This is a clear case of what the Yorubas call "edi" (a compelling force that makes you falter effortlessly)
vadeonly: What of the computer village in Ikeja. It will more easier to develop computer village for technological drive. Never the less Yaba might also serve due to the presence of two great tertiary institutions i.e Yabatech and Unilag. Thumb up for Ambode.
1. Computer Village is just a trade hub......and I understand it will be relocated to Katangowa in Ipaja 2. Yaba as a Silicon-Valley model is going to be a Technology hub, where a lot of innovative solutions and technology will be developed. Added to this, it will also become an investor hub. The early arrive-rs ccHub, Andela and co had the foresight and Lagos state has done well to seek to accelerate it
odogwubiafra: How do you legalize illegality? By reorganizing them through bill passage. Restructure them by law and stop petroleum product importation, Apply Capital oil's strategy and we are good to go.
Pls,
You are speaking " English". Which leader in his right senses will legalise refining by handing over license to illegal refiners? You think just putting crude oil on makeshift fire-stoves is refining? The "Refining" methods and toxic fuels they produce, you think it is safe?
odogwubiafra: Just postponing the evil day. Not until the FG makes the business environment viable, the NUPENG and PENGASSAN will always pose threat to FG and Nigerians.
It is only in oil industry that FG does not want to encourage local production, they are even destroying existing local refineries. But in almost all other sectors they claim to encourage indigenous producers. And you ask "what is this hypocrisy all about"?
There is more to this OIL than just crude, and what FG claim publicly.
