I do not understand what perspective this your questions relate to the discussion at hand 1. I've lived in Nigeria virtually all my life, most of it in Lagos 2. Yes I have done business with government b4 so educate us........what don't we know soberdrunk: |

OK, pls "educate us"..... I am eager to learn from your "wider perspective" |
aresssa:aremodtwo: :Investors are bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars to pump into the economy and create tons of jobs and this one is saying no work? Is this not how jobs are created and how to boost the economy? ![]() @Aresa, can you imagine a typical mindset of someone that calls himself a Nigerian youth? |
seguno2:Useless question. The project is strictly private sector driven |
Untainted007:Any evidence to support this "frivolous" statement? |
soberdrunk:Some of you display so much ignorance.......... This is not a government project. This is 100% private..... so 1. Is the timining right? - If the investors have confidence in the Lagos business environment, why not? 2. Should it be a priority for Lagos State? Absolutely YES!!!! A city trending towards 25million people, transportation is a nightmare that will require many innovative interventions 3. The big issue of maintenance is left to the investors.....if they like let them not maintain their vehicles 4. Another white elephant project?.......... ignorance PS - to the best of my knowledge, Rivers Mono rail is not a white elephant project. It is just that Wike and his co-travelers cannot see beyond their myopia to understand the value in integrated transportation and infrastructural development |
idensko:What "Basic Chemistry" did you study? Plastic is a petrochemical derivative of crude oil.........and a reversal of the the process will lead to other derivatives, hence Kerosine and Diesel. What learning are children of now adays getting self? |
Smagiro18:I believe a good first step is that you step up and help them design it |
obailala:So what was your problem all the while? |
zikter:@idupaul,idupaul: :some people are just blindly hateful. I doubt if they have the capacity to comprehend your point I thought it was someone else........kudos for your intelligent summary......... but just like zikter said, deranged folks struggle to comprehend your point.....but it's worse than that. The embarrassing manner PEJ and her lawyers wants to defend this is also ridiculous... |
dimieprincess:Madam, Give your self a break or you will get unnecessary HBP with stew.pid lies. Did Patience tell you that the money came from "a community bank in the 70s"? How come she owned a community bank when she should be in primary school during those period? Haba! Child of Lie!!! |
adconline:I think you should verify facts before you carelessly jump into arguements. "All Toyota brands of cars bought from these accredited Toyota dealers in Nigeria come with at least three (3) years or 100,000km Manufacturer Warranty." https://www.naijatechguide.com/2008/05/nigeria-toyota-accredited.html.... Is it under waranty or not is another issue. Even if it is not under waranty, what stress test did not discover that a car which will be used on typical Nigeria roads cannot witstand two years of use? |
CSTR2:Bros, It only becomes bigotry when you read "anti-igbo" to it. If we stay professional and address the issue of loss of customer satisfaction, then we have a credible discussion. If I shelled out a kobo to buy a product and I am dissatisfied, you are not in anyway entitled to tell me how to express my dissatisfaction. That he should go to Innosons and complain is given, but If Dr. Abah is upset enough to make it public, he's entitled to that as well |
obailala:It is rare (I will be on less that 0.0005%) that a brand new Toyota, Honda, Benz and the likes will develop overheating and Gear issues less than 3 years after purchase. This is because of the comprehensive tests they go through. And also in some very rare occassions, some of these companies are wary of the hammer of the regulation coming down on them for "sub-standards", hence they critically perform their tests very well and proactively stay connected to the customer, so that in case their is a complaint, they get to the customer before he becomes disatisfied. Do you read with your butt? Where did I say my 2008 corolla hasn't had any garage visit? |
idupaul:"Jumping from one field to the other".......doesn't that tell you I am versatile? I hope it would encourage you to at least aspire for something........... |
obailala:Wrong! A car is not expected to develop heating issues and gear issue in less than 3yrs if it had not been involved in an accident or major impact. Even manufacturers give guarantees of mileages that averages 3years use. We bought a Toyota Corrolla in 2008 and still in use today. The first time I touched the gear was 2year ago.....and guess what, for routine service. I this vehicle does inter-state on Lagos-Ibadan-Osogbo fairly regularly...... |
Goke7: ![]() |
Goke7:Bros, These folks do not know what value should be placed on brand. You are very correct......this is where Nigerian business miss it. A friend of had an issue with a bank teller and in anger dropped a compliant in the suggestion box......... guess who called him to follow up.....Erastus Akingbola.............. |
obailala:A customer has the right to vent his frustration any how. That is how to keep manufacturers on their toes. Imagine if you bought a Dangote's Dansa Juice and you find maggot inside, what will you do? call their customer care alone? |
kenny987:Madam, you're wrong. Toyota recently recalled vehicles even up to 4years. Elizade made a full-page add, for users of Toyota Hi-lux to come for a replacement of a suspension part. I am a living witness |
Franchise21:Absolutely Yes!!!! How do you think companies like Toyota, Honda and VW are forced to do recalls due to faulty breaks, suspension and even as small as software? Do you think it's safe to just contact their customer service and stuffs like that get covered up? But the big question is, does Innosons have a certified testing routine before product launch? This is not an indictment on Innosons yet, except they handle it badly. If their vehicles have a major heating and gear issue, they better do a recall, fix and return to the customer. That is pretty standard. A customer can make or mar......and to all the folks abusing Dr. Abah, you're clanish twisted minds will not let you see that this is a way to better Nigeria |
idupaul: ![]() Now I am getting a whole lot of laffs at your idiocy. Let me start from your last piece....... 1. This was me 2 years ago. https://www.nairaland.com/2044554/thread-phd-students/4#29008255. so your guess is as good as mine, where I would be by now ....... 2. In terms of work, if you follow the intellectual and professional discussions (unfortunately not your forte) very well here, you'll probably be able to guess the industry I work. But then, I imagine I should not saddle you with what you cannot comprehend 3. Don't worry if I make a difference where I work or not (although that is another area I can use facts to slap you, but.......my identity is under wraps).....It is needless going into debate with you......you're so shallow content-wise....... I still ask you.....when did being a clerk become derogatory? You're such an idiot. You do not even know what a clerk is and does. |
idupaul:Of course I have "salary work". To get it, I demonstrated an above par reasoning which you seemingly at any rate have a life-time to attain.......... So I guess it's safe to say you're not even in the job bracket.......either by academic qualification or intellect......... ....and before you go on an intellectual premature eja.cula.tion, let me burst your falsehood.......don't tell us how you own "chains of businesses"....that lie is expired on NL |
idupaul:Watch on NL, I will advise you to seek help before you post, as it is obvious your mental capacity is not up to scratch. But if you want to "entertain" with your stu.pidity, why not.........I will have my fill in pointing them out |
idupaul:Great minds like you? Well I want to believe there are times when some people are allowed to fool themselves. Trust me, you have no quality of a sound mind |
chukzyblingz:The question of who's the kid is obvious but not as unbelievable as your reasoning capacity wasy below kid's standard. Who is the spokesman of Nigerian Prison Service? Ok! It is Nnamdi Kanu........ ![]() |
papaejima1:......what comes before discovery to you? production? Supo |
idupaul:1. You're simply a comic relief, but I will humour myself with your brazen ignorance....but let's continue with the comic show..... 2. In whatever "context" you put a clerk, you're not up to scratch in reasoning........ 3. Why was Arik operations shut down? You did not get from the report is that it is because they owed insurance? So it is whose fault? 4. So if a management team of a supposed "biggest local Airlines" demonstrate executive recklessness and irresponsibility, it automatically becomes the fault of the presidency, because to you their operations is hinged on "cascading effects" and "image of Buhari govt"? 5. Buhari let Aero close shop? your idiocy is beginning to amuse me. If we go by your wierd logic, we will absolve the Ibru family, whom the Canadian partners accused of graft, over invoicing and other issues bothering on trust, you will blame Buhari? Or is it Buhari's fault that he started "undermining" Aero since 2010 up to date when AMCOM rescued it twice yet it did not come up? Bros you are skilled at beer-parlour logic, I give that to you |
idupaul:Bros, If I as a "clerk" (whatever is wrong with being a clerk) can see how dumb you are, then you must be closer to a state of no redemption. Please tell us how Buhari made Arik to owe insurance? |
Nychillax:ever wondered why @supersystems is on NL ranting and Fayemi is the minister? We are running a country and not a beer parlour. For someone who cannot understand simple context, how then do you think he'll make it beyond NLsupersystems: :Who are you to fayemi??Only few politician in Nigeria's politics has an inspired CV than him.According to udo udoma "fayemi is a phenomenon and a generalist". Shut the hell up and stop littering the cyberspace. He is performing as a minister of mineral resources without any doubt about it,only people that are blinded by sentiments won't b able to see it.We all knw the state of Ajaokuta iron-ore b4 and we are all heard about the discoveries of other mineral resources in our domain even in larger quantity. You want mineral resources to b utilized in short period of time without proper and adequate step??why are u people always look for useless excuse, the hatred u are having about this government has completely reversed yer cerebrum. |
papaejima1:Unfortunately your ignorance is laced with cream. Exploration commenced = discovery? |
ayoolanr:Hold it!!!!! Before you uninformed lot go on unnecessary and uninformed rants.................otukpo: :You nailed it! Nigeria is in deep need of industrialization!!! Almost as if our African leaders are generally stupid!!! They should take a cue from post world war 2 Germany , even Russia......Nigerians and Africans in general tend to be mentally lazy!!!! Industrialization and infrastructural development cannot be stressed enough.....Instead they would rather pay themselves fat salaries and worry about lining their pockets with gold! If i could curse these leaders i would!!!! So much potential....even our people need a cultural revolution and a rethink and re-orientation when it comes to the way we do things!!!! 1. You need to cut the government a whole lot of slack. If this is not a move towards industrialisation, then what is? 2. The government said they will pursue diversification and pointed to the mining industry as one of the areas of focus. They have done something our governments in the past 30years failed to do. 3. The Ministry of Mines and Steel recently launched a new roadmap. I bet you both have not read the document. I think it is important that step back at times as reassess what we think or say. Let's imagine that people are working in the background and a whole lot to get us to "Nikel"......and the work continues |
