So, not only will you put yourself in bad books of the lecturers for protesting against the results, you also stand the risk of being ridiculed and embarrassed, if they pull out your paper, and it turned out your score was actually your score.

But I was so sure of my abilities that I stood against all that and called for my script to be pulled out. Well, it turned out I scored 69 in the course.

Not really distinction, but very close. The department apologized and I was saved from the psychological trauma of re writing the course.

But OP, the problem with JAMB is that it is an external exam. Before your are through forcing them to rectify your result, the university admission window must have closed, so that this year JAMB even if it turned out you scored 96 in maths, won't be able to secure you admission again.

I would advise you forget about JAMB and put your focus on your post UME, 260 is still a good score.
