Hello everyone, VFS sent an email that passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC via courier partner. Please use Tracking id. or the AWB number provided to track the shipment on the courier partners website after 24hrs.
Does VFS sends UPS tracking details or how do one track returned passport from VFS? |

Anyone please? Markab: Hello beautiful people,
Yesterday, VFS Abuja rejected my brother’s passport package couriered to them through DHL. Reason they gave was that the delivery was NOT made at an appropriate time. This was 10am in the morning.
Has anyone experienced this? What would be the appropriate time for DHL to retry delivery??
It’s strange though for them to reject delivery at 10am in the morning.
TIA |

Awesome, thank you so much zubizareta: I think it's different. When I went to submit my passport, my friend that was in same shoes with you was told to pay about 9k as he didnt come with the biometrics slip he had misplaced earlier. If you also intend to submit in their office different from where you did biometrics, that I am not sure if it will be charged separately. But am certain u pay when you don't provide the biometrics slip. |

Thank you. Is this payment in addition to the biometric transmission fee of #9410 that is paid when passport is submitted to a different VFS office other than where biometrics was originally done? zubizareta: No issue. He shud be ready to pay 8990 or so on the day of passport submission. |

Good day everyone, I have a friend that got PPR on Friday but seems to have lost his biometric confirmation slip (yellow form issued by VFS) as he had it done about 3years ago with his first application that was refused. Will there be an issue if he doesn’t send the yellow form with the passport to VFS? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Markab: 5:09pm On Apr 28, 2023 |
Great but I do have a clarification. Just kinda curious how you sent it through DHL and the return was done through UPS? Did you pay to VFS abuja separately so they can send it through UPS? My brother has just got PPR and thinking of sending it to VFS Abuja instead of Lagos where he had his biometrics done. I hear it’s faster thanks iwanvisityankee: I dropped my passport at DHL in Lagos last week Wednesday, same day in the evening it was sent to Abuja, on Thursday VFS Abuja received it and sent to IRCC office same day.
Then Friday was public holiday, then weekend, Monday public holiday.
So on Tuesday VFS Abuja received it back from IRCC. Today being Wednesday VFS handed it over to UPS.
I just received UPS tracking number from VFS (I requested for it via email). When I tracked it, it's showing on transit.
Fingers crossed |

A quick update: So IOM eventually sent me the updated medical information sheet which shows that the results was transmitted to the IRCC April 25, 2 days after the deadline given by IRCC (April 23). I have sent emails to all the IRCC contacts shared on this thread and filled out 2 webform to the Nairobi office. I hope this late submission by IOM won’t cause any harm? Does IRCC still consider results sent to them after the deadline? Thanks Markab: Good day everyone, is anyone aware how best to reach IOM Lagos? Medical done since April 12, no result sent to IRCC. Deadline on the letter was April 23 and online GC key account shows results of medical not received. I’ve sent emails to the IOM booking email and also filled contact form on their website - No response and all calls to their phone were not answered. In the emails, I had even requested they send the emedical form to send through IRCC webform, still no response.
I don’t want to assume that this is because of the strike Cos medical was done one week plus before the strike even started.
I’d appreciate you advise everyone😢 |

Good day all, had medical done exactly a week ago at IOM but no updates to the application portal and medical request still showing “your action is required”. Medical Request letter‘s validity will expire April 23.
I’m just wondering how long it would take for IOM to forward medical results to IRCC? I hope it will not affect the application if results don’t get updated by the deadline of April 23. Thanks |

March 11 submission Slimboss042: please I will like to k ow when you submitted your brother's application. Because I submitted mine on the 8 of march and my eligibility is being reviewed, though I submitted all my documents including my medicals and biometrics.
Then to answer your question, I think your brother is eligible to travel 1 month before his start date to avoid being sent back at the POE. |

Medical request eventually came in after I posted. I have a question to the experts in the room. How early is too early to travel? Program is starting in September. I am in Canada and can receive my brother anytime. Is it okay if he travels in May?Markab: Day 3 on review of eligibility. Hoping for the best for my bro 😎. No upfront medical so it’s waiting game now. |

Did IRCC send you a mail when they started Review of Eligibility? |

Let him get to school so he request for confirmation of enrolment. That’s very crucial to IRCC granting your spousal open work permit.

Good day to you all, I helped my sister with her SV application and she got a medical request June 21. She had her medical done upfront before the request came in and we just had to upload the e-medical forms through the IRCC web form on the same day the request came in and also sent emails to the Nairobi office attaching the same document. It’s been over 3 weeks now and the profile is still showing “medical required”. Is there anyone currently in the same situation? Can you please advise if this is normal to there is better way to have this sorted out?
Thanks |

Thank you @Frankrobbn1. I appreciate your immense contributions to this community from way back bro. More blessings sir! Frankrobbn1: You should respond to the letter by stating clearly that the applicant is fully funded and as such doesn't require to provide mybank statement certificate for his study permit application. Attach relevant documents which pertains to the funding from the University and the supervisor. As for the IELTS, you should evidently indicate that English proficiency is not a requirement as stated on IRCC for study permit application. Provide strong justifications about your academic background and your intended research area in Canada. Your application will be processed through the regular route. If you've not done your upfront medicals, endeavour to do so as soon as possible.
It will end in praise |

Hi fam,
Can an applicant go through the NSE route with a fully funded MSc/PhD program? Application has been submitted but a letter came asking for IELTS result and mybankstatement certificate? The thing school is covering tuition and living expenses? Should I just ignore the letter or reply to them that I’d be going through the regular route?
Thanks |
