My wife and I got 10year US visa immediately we became permanent residents of Canada. We became PRs in March and got out US Visas in MAY of the same year

I am not here to argue what you don't know, this thread is for Canadian tourist visa, i only made reference to US visa application while here in Canada to drive home my point for the super visa application refusal. wait when you become a PR or if you are already a PR and less than 6 months post arrival,please apply for US visa then come back here and tell the result. others who needs the information and who it was meant for would have picked one or two things from the heads up. However i will add this for you to ponder as well, being a Canadian PR holder does not also guarantee you US visa approval.

That’s not true please...family members of both citizens and permanent residents are exempted from the travel ban. Canada rarely exclude permanent residents on policies except on right-to-vote, passport services and maybe a few other things. Besides IRCC confirmed this in response to my tweet and sent me this link below

Talking about Age, do they have age consideration for someone applying for Masters at age 45?
Also, I have been looking for schools that offer Information security or cyber security as Masters program but most schools don’t have it as Masters but Post graduate diploma and the like.
How is easy is it to get job permit or even a job after PGD?

With the exception of their family members, diplomats, airline crews and US citizens.

Canada’s borders are officially closed to non residents. Only pr and citizens can enter.

Canada have officially placed travel restrictions on all visitors with a few exceptions

Yes I believe there's a delay in passport stamping these days cos I submitted mine since Feb 10th and no update. So believe it's a general issue and not specific.

Letter of invitation from me (Host) (also uploaded as purpose of travel)
My birth certificate (proof of relationship)
My marriage certificate
My baby’s birth certificate (reason for inviting)
My parents marriage certificate
Copy of PR cards for me and my wife
Driver’s licences (as proof of address)
My Car registration
My pay stub (proof of income)
Dad’s all employment and promotion letters (Civil service)
All project documents he oversees at work bearing his name as project manager
His 4months slip
His bank statements (3M balance)
Dad’s Academic credentials and professional licenses
Travel history visas (Ghana, Togo and Benin rep) . He was denied UK visa 8years ago and never reapplied.

I mentioned in the application that I would be fully responsible for his trip and will be the host. I did not add my bank statement since my paystub proves my income.

Funds available for stay = #2000cad (ref to the IMM form)

Filled that already waited for 28 working days to get a reply, didn’t get a reply, sent a mail to the deputy high commission of Canada, Lagos Also.

Then you need to fill up IRCC Webform (aka CSE)

Submitted a Canadian tourist application since the 24th of October, 2019. And it’s still under processing, there hasn’t been any update on the cic portal, it’s more than 140 Days.

Thanks so much for your response. Actually, the issue is not from VFS as visa counterfoil is yet to be issued. I would have gone through VFS if the profile was updated with counterfoil.

Long time Markab, it's nice to see you around here today. The issue of delayed passport dispatch is a general issue. However, I would suggest you send a CSE to Nairobi visa office requesting they should expedite the transmission of your passport.

If you are bilingual, you should be fine, Quebec is a very interesting province to live in

My application for work permit was rejected yesterday. Though I submitted employment letters and references letters from past employers. This is the message from CIC

Thank you for your interest in working in Canada. After careful review of your work permit
application and supporting documentation under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, I have
determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee
Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing
your application on the following grounds:

• You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host's income
and assets.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of
residence.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.

Hi guys...not sure how long it takes, my mum submitted her passport since February 17 and there has been no news. She had paid for courier to ship her passport directly to Osun and till now, not even her CIC profile is updated. It’s two weeks now, Is this normal?

I've been silently following this thread. I benefitted from the study permit thread and also got a lot of information here that helped me in packaging my husband's SOWP application.

This post is to encourage someone out there.

Submitted: December 3, 2019
Route: Paper with upfront medicals
Background check: December 8, 2019. The day application was linked online
Eligibility review: About a week later
Medicals update and BVL: January 8, 2020
Approval: February 12, 2020.
