SMH. The irony considering that you came with many irrelevant and irrational offpoint talks that were not related to our discussion. In your spear time, read that post of yours I replied to and ask yourself if someone with a proper thinking faculty would type the rubbish you typed. Since stupidity rarely catches up, I give you many chances as you want. You'd regret it.

This is how daft emotional fellows behave. When they can no longer reply, they say rubbish and leave. I dare you to answer the questions I asked. I am sure intelligent people think going through a lot and making it gives you a free pass when it comes to crime.

Bros! It's not just female bosses. Women have the mind to do wicked. It's almost natural. Even the broke ones who contribute nothing in marriages carry belle outside and trick their husbands into raising another man's child. A husband who has pledged to work hard to care for you and put food on your table till he dies. You trick him into raising a bastard. It's worse than whatever bad treatment your boss gives you. That is the highest level of wickedness a woman can do to a man. But such act has become common. I read somewhere on the Internet that 3 out of 5 firstborns are barstards. Tell me this generation of women are not wicked.
The act is so rampant that France, the gynocentric country of weak men, made it illegal to get a DNA test for your children because it would "... disturb the peace and stability of many families." What greater wickedness and insult is there to give a man?

Many men are paying child support and catering for children that aren't theirs. Even when the woman is caught to have collected child support for the "bastard" child, she is not prosecuted for paternity fraud and the man keeps on paying child support. This nonsense of deceiving a man to raise someone else's child has been happening since time immemorial.

You have a serious problem, and I use to think you are part of the sane ones here smh, if you want everyone to comment why do you keep insulting females who did? I thought this thread is on gender equality why do you keep including female bashing into it? You sound like youve always had bitterness and disdain for women cos I don't see how them wasting their lives is any of your concern.

P.s including memes to butress your point shows your level of maturity.
I only start bashing when one has decided to be dishonest and stupid. Be honest, didn't the females try to derail my topic with off point posts? Did they not make off point contributions and desperately tried to misrepresent my topic and nullify the validity of my OP? angry Why don't you call them out on this? Why me who had done nothing wrong? I am here discussing a serious issue and bloody idiots, especially that one calling herself Lord, came here to say trash and tried to derail my thread. They have the right to do so and I have the right to insult them.

For your information, memes are not a measurement of maturity, they are effective tools to communicate one's mood and pass a message on the Internet. If how they waste their life is not my concern then who I insult is not your concern.

I want everyone to comment and I will keep on insulting the simpletons who have taken it upon themselves to waste their lives by being stupid.

Enough with the female bashing, take criticism without insulting the person involved, that is what a logical mind would do, not everyone will agree with your thought process or opinions so next time when you create a thread and don't want females to comment, kindly indicate by saying FOR MALES ONLY, it's not that hard.
Will you keep quiet! angry What sensible criticism has anyone offered? I dare you to point out such criticism. Have the females on this thread not been talking off point? angry

Yea, and OG's commit crimes every day in the projects (most of them men of course) and hip hop culture celebrates it as hustling.
As I have said, a crime is crime.

All I'm saying is that if a lady is competent enough to live that life, come off relatively unscathed, then goes on to launch a multi-million dollar career; she's earned the right to brag about it. She's no different than the 50s and the Rules. F*cked around, built something, now living the life.
SMH. Do read what you type? People already have the right to brag about their past deeds by virtue of living in a western world that supports freedom of expression. It seems to you that some are more equal than others. It does not matter who you have become, what you have been through or whether you are a male or female, a crime is a crime. SMH at this nonsense.

This is not about the genitals, it's about competence (actual gender equality).
cry cry cry this one has finished me. So being a star and making millions gives you a free pass when it comes to crime? Go read up what gender equality means and stop disgracing yourself. What ignorance and stuρidity.

The world has rewarded competent women since time immemorial.
SMH. What load of nonsense. The world doesn't reward competent women by giving them free passes when it comes to crime. You are so full of irrationality. undecided

In Ancient Greece, women were not even allowed to set foot in the Olympics stadium. However, they were allowed to breed, own, and train horses for the equestrian event. Cynisca, daughter of King Archidamus II and sister of Agesilaus II, acquired wealth to her name and became appropriately skilled. She hired men to join her team and even though she was not present at the even, her team won the wreath in chariot racing.
What's your point? She was allowed to own horses, she hired a team(given freedom to acquire wealth) and her team won, what's your point? How does this relate to our discussion? She should be given free passes when it comes to crime?

For achieving this feat, Cynisca was honored by having a bronze statue of a chariot and horses, a charioteer and a statue of herself in the Temple of Zeus in Olympia, and an inscription written declaring that she was the only female to win the wreath in the chariot events at the Olympic Games.
Lol. So a woman is rewarded by lying to history students cheesy grin. Did men not hire teams too? Why don't they have their statues? Lwkmd grin Again what is your point? how does this relate to our discussion?

In her native home of Sparta, a hero-shrine was erected in Sparta at Plane-tree Grove in her name. Only Kings received this honor. So she wasn't just the first woman, she was the first person of either gender who wasn't a king to have a hero-shrine erected in her name at Plane-tree Grove.
By the story you gave, her honour is just a case of sentiments. What did she really do to deserve these things? She was allowed to own horses, she hired a team and the team won. Why does she deserve all these awards? It's just a case of sentiments.

Had she disguised herself, participated in the event and won gold then she would have been worthy of any accolades. Didn't men hire teams too? Did society prevent her from hiring a team? What's your point? Did society give her a free pass when it came to crime? I can't believe anybody with a brain would type all the rubbishes you've been typing. Do you realise how stuρid your write up is? Are you fucking kidding me? angry

Or about Agnodice or the female Soviet snipers who made Nazi men sh*t their pants. History has no shortage of examples in virtually every culture.
So society rewarded her with giving her a free pass when it comes to crimes? The praises and recognition she got is just the same other top soviet male snipers got. SMH. What's your point with this? How is it relevant to the discussion? If there is anything more she got, it's more fame because it was unusual then to see women taking such jobs and being excellent at them.

Today however, modern feminists want rules to be relaxed specifically for women. They want to do less push ups to get into the military. Have spots preserved for them just to ramp up gender representation. They want to be able to walk 100 yards carrying banners or write articles and expect to have goodies land on their laps in platinum platters. It is this entitlement mentality that irks me more than anything.
The only sensible thing you've said. If it irks you, why give a free pass to Cardi B? Men spend years in jail for doing what Cardi B did. If it irks you, why give a free pass to Cardi B? What's worse is that you did this using an utterly ridiculous excuse/argument. SMH, you are the embodiment of hypocrisy. angry

All of the competent women I know kicking ass don't ask for handouts. They don't need it. They get what they want because they prove themselves and they receive utmost respect from their peers regardless of gender. Whether they're astronauts or miners.
Are you sure you are not a female behind a male moniker because this is how most nairaland females react to this issue ------ talking off point. What is the relevance of this? What's your point? Should society give a free pass to them? Just what is your point? undecided angry

They earned what they deserve by choosing to work hard and take responsibility unlike most lazy women. What is your point? Did anyone say that there are no competent women? What is your point?

Frances Arnold went from a cocktail waitress and cab driver to becoming a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry in 2018. She earned her Ph.D in 1985. Almost 35 years later, you still have some ret*rds complaining that women don't go into STEM because the environment is toxic for women. I guess Frances is a man.

-Lord
Yeye Lord. Who ever said there are no female STEM graduates? How is that relevant to the discussion? angry You example serves no relevant purpose. Walk into any university around you and will she girls studying Physics, Engineering, Medicine and other STEM fields. Is Frances Arnold deserving of a free pass when it comes to crime? What exactly is your point? sad angry Ron Larson, the author of my calculus text and professor at Pennsylvania State University, was a dish washer, so what's your point?

Did Marie Curie not win the Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry becoming the first person and woman to achieve such feat ? Did her daughter not win the Nobel prize as well? Did May-Britt Moser(2014) and Ada Yonath(2009) not win Nobel prizes? Who said women don't study STEM subjects? You are talking off point.

You are a female behind a male moniker or a simp. I am more inclined to believe the former. So much dose of bullsh1t this early morning.

I heart calling out the hypocrisy. But please give Cardi B a pass. Not because she has a vagina; but because she's the realest hoodrat turned A-list celebrity since forever. She owned up to her Bloods affiliation, said she'd ZERO regrets about being a stripper, she's comfortable in her own skin, and will punk a** without calling the authorities or social justice retards (omerta FTW).

I respect that. She a bad ass. A real one at that not like the Rosses. So since she's got the street cred, she gotta flaunt it. She's all about that life. So what if she rats on herself and people make excuses for her. She's f*cking earned it.

The question here is not what gender equality is but how it is being practiced. Many people that commented on this thread have repeatedly point at several instances where the both genders were treated differently over the same crime, for example, the case of the woman rapist who was excused and a man who was jailed for the same offence. The question is: why is the law and it's enforcement tilting towards the men?

You have a point but you have some flaws.

That flaws made most guys here start bashing the women folks.

You need to present your post properly, by first of all defining what gender equality is, the rights of women in the past compare today and also the role of feminism in the past and what prompted the idea of gender equality then start with the hypocrisy or double standard.

You talked about girls in the west using the false accusations rape-victim on guys, do you also know that in the middle east a female rape-victim can be punished?
@bold
SMH. Mr. Teacher, keep telling me how to properly write my OP. You want me to define gender equality? You think my post is for toddlers and the uninformed in English Language? You also want me to give a history lesson. Hmmmmm, wow, just wow. undecided If anyone can't understand my well written post, it's not my fault. I am not here to spoon-feed anyone, people can google things up and use the dictionary if my post is beyond them. Perhaps you can create your own thread if you can do things better.

@red
My post was about societies that claim to embrace gender equality. How can Islamic countries be hypocrites when they never embraced equality in the first place? How could my post have been about them? You need to throw away your emotional bias and start reasoning properly. undecided

I think many people are mistaking what gender equality is.

- We can't have a gender equality as regard human ability, even in the same gender there's no gender equality, we all have different abilities.

- We can have a gender EQUAL RIGHTS, in politics, work, vote, marriage, society, expression etc. Now this is what gender equality is.

Family › Re: Why Imagining Humanity Without Women Is Unimaginable by Martinez39(m): 9:16pm On Mar 29, 2019
Kayceenaz:
In a world where the male folk dominate in education, business, government, engineering and religion, losing sight of the indispensability of women is almost instinctive. Many forget, perhaps deliberately, that the progressive changes in different facets of humanity may not have been without women. No wonder the Good Book typically views a woman as a “helper.” If men could do it all single-handedly, why did our All-Wise and All-Knowing God create woman? It’s not rocket science, women are the matchstick which lights up humanity.

Repeatedly, we have this influential potential of women play out both in our personal and societal lives. Do you still recall? First, the average human is born and nurtured by a female, who may either be the mother or not. Biology says men can neither conceive nor give birth, thereby leaving that prerogative with a woman. Thus, women mediate between nature and a new life. What a privilege! Suffice it to say that without women, our specie (homo-sapiens) could have careened towards extinction. The natural ability of women to care for new lives makes their involvement key. How often is a male nanny, if there is, sought?

Second, some indigenous cultures were advanced by women. Mary Slessor comes to mind. The killing of twins persisted in most known parts of Nigeria until this woman intervened. It is on record that she led the re-enlightenment of indigenes who incorrectly saw birth of twins or more as redolent of animals and an abomination. Just probably, there may not have been a P-Square whose music many Nigerians revel in to date, if a woman had not challenged the status-quo.

Again, a woman enhanced humanity by reinvigorating a governmental agency that saved millions of lives. Prof. Dora Akunyili, of blessed memory, freed the National Agency for Food, Drug, Administration, and Control (NAFDAC) from obscurity, arming it with sharp teeth that can bite. Her rigidity in character led to discoveries of fake drugs in large quantities, popularized inclusion of NAFDAC numbers, checked usage of harmful chemical substances as ingredients in fast moving consumer goods, prosecution of offenders, and decreased the nation’s fatal rate.

Furthermore, the proneness of most women to be empathetic singles them out. Often, this has been mistaken for weakness and ignites their underestimation. But it is indeed strength. Their tears show genuine fears that things may go wrong. In every person is a natural tilt towards themselves, the precursor of selfish actions. Resisting this pull almost frequently is not easy. This is seen in the concern of women for family and society.

From the above, it is evident that women are distinct and have proved to be the paste on the tooth brush of our race at different times, in different endeavours. Let us evade any movement's gimmick to pit women against men, for nature has made us collaborators. We are two sides of same coin, a reminder that imagining humanity without women is unimaginable.
