Romance › Business And Cordial Relationships. Get In Here by Martinez39(op): 12:34pm On Sep 03, 2019
I have always said that one of the important things you must learn in life is the attitude of drawing your boundaries and strictly sticking to them. In a world filled with cruel and opportunistic wolves, drawing your boundaries requires having a strong back bone because whether you like it or not, there are people that are looking forward to mercilessly taking advantage of others by using any tactics. These people will always exist and you can't run away from them and they could be anybody. They could be family, cousins, friends, colleagues, strangers etc.

Why are you, as a business person, giving your goods and services for free to friends, family or close ones? Can't they pay? Why do you let them exploit you using "friendship", "family" or the cordial relationship that exists between you and them? Why bow to such pressure? People who do that are actually wicked and should be considered your enemy. As they take your goods and/or services for free, they are making you incur losses and since they didn't pay, they prevent you from taking care of yourself and family(if you have one). If they love you and have good intentions towards you, they would pay so that you can have money to take care of your needs instead of incurring losses for you. In business, there are no such thing as friends only business partners. In business, profit is supreme and above it there shall be no other. Once something or someone is costing you profits, you must discard such thing or person.

The ugly truth is that most of the people that are cajoling you to give your goodies and skills for free using friendship, family or sympathy don't care a dime about you and they are just manipulating you. They won't, in a million years, even return the favour if the tables were turned and they would, with the speed of light, dismiss your pleas. This is one of the reasons why I said, in a topic of mine, being kind and nice are actually weaknesses. In the tough world out there, your kindness, niceness and forgiving nature are qualities that make you vulnerable to users, fake friends and other heartless opportunists. No cares if you have these qualities expect when they can use it for their own gain and they won't treat you better because you have these qualities. They don't care. wink

Learn to stand your ground, maintain your boundaries and use your sense. If there are any goods and/or services that people are paying for in the real world, why are you foolishly giving it to others for free? Why are you, as a rich man, allowing friends to live in your houses for free? Can't they pay for it? Can't they go and hustle? "but they are friends" Well, it doesn't mean they shouldn't go hustle and beside, these friends will show their true colours when you have nothing. How can a girl be working in a cybercafé earning ₦7000 monthly so that she can pay for her for her JAMB form and university tuition yet her parents and siblings will use sympathy to snatch the money from her because "things are hard, the family needs to feed and people are hungry" ? Is that not wickedness on the part of the parents and siblings? Is that irresponsibility on the part of the parents? Why can't they hustle? Why can't the foolish girl stand her ground? Why is she sacrificing her goals for wicked and irresponsible people? At the end, her opportunity passes her and she gains nothing. grin

This inability to maintain one's boundary is also one of the reasons why private hospitals run down and incur losses. Why can't you as a doctor maintain your no payment, no service policy ? A lot of patients in dear situations will rush to your hospital begging you treat them for free that they will pay back unfailingly. grin They will pressurise you and repeatedly remind you, using emotions, sympathy and drama, that you have to do something or else the person in need will get worse or die. Sympathy, sympathy and sympathy. Many doctors eventually fall for this rubbish and treat for free while foolishly thinking the patients will pay back but they never do. The doctors are too kind and don't want to be seen as bad people. Some of the treated patients run away while some come back to plead, with intense emotions and drama, to be let of the hook. Even when the run aways are caught and locked up they will eventually be released by the doctors because "let bygones be bygones and the suffering is too much on the debtor". How can you help deliver the baby of a broke man who can even feed himself thinking he would pay back? Las las you will detain the mother and the child and still let them go because the irresponsible broke man will obviously never pay and "let bygones be bygones and the suffering is too much on the debtor". grin

These debtors don't give a shit about the hospital business or whether you won't be able to feed your family if they don't pay. They are fighting for themselves so fight for yourself also. This is similar to when people come to borrow money from you. They will come seemingly sincere and give hearty promises that they would pay back only for them to ghost you or become aggressive when you confront them to pay back the money they owe you. Some will keep telling you for two years running, long after the deadline of their promise, "I will pay you soon" and even have the guts to act like you are pestering them. grin undecided Learn to be wise.

Please, let's use our brains and draw our boundaries. When you draw your boundaries and these hungry wolves see that they can't manipulate you, they will get angry and bitter at you henceforth; spread rumours about you and/or call you names. Don't fall for it, stand your grounds. Very rich people are seen as stingy and ruthless in their business because they understand this principle. You might be seen as wicked initially but you bank account and business will smile in the future. grin

Romance › Re: What the Men Face/Passes Through In Today's Marriage by Martinez39(m): 11:08am On Sep 03, 2019
blackpanthar:
THIS IS TRULY THE EXPERIENCE OF MANY BUT NOT ALL.

FIRSTLY, the pastors have more power than the husbands ONLY IN THE CHURCH... in the home the husband has the power and authority and he shares it with his wife, because she is not LOWER THAN HIM.... SHE IS HIS PARTNER.

SECONDLY, the women are gullible because they have not been taught properly how to give honor to whom honor is due as at when due. HUSBAND THAT DOES NOT SERVE GOD DOES NOT DESERVE ANY FORM OF HONOR... HE IS SIMPLY AN IGNORANT DISGRACE because MARRIAGE CAME FROM GOD.... and not from tradition. WIFE THAT CARRIES CHURCH ON HER HEAD is a shameless idol worshiper because she is serving church or her pastor more than she should...

THIRDLY, Husbands should never complain about their wives being more afraid of the pastor because NA PASTOR PERMIT THE WOMAN TO EVEN MARRY THE MAN O.... many women would never have married their husbands without counsel from the SO CALLED PASTOR. The MAN SHOULD GET SERIOUS WITH GOD AND ALSO GET CLOSER TO THE MAN OF GOD FOR THE PROTECTION OF HIS WIFE. This is wisdom.

FOURTHLY WOMEN naturally respect men who are much more higher than them in EVERY AREA OF LIFE..... so men should hold their game strong. A woman can only obey her pastor and disobey her husband when she feels her pastor is HIGHER THAN HER HUSBAND IN MANY WAYS. So men should KEEP IMPROVING ON EVERY AREA OF THEIR LIVES..... WOMEN RESPECT PRAYERFUL MEN... Men who pray well at home can control their wives easily.

A TRUE MAN/FATHER/HUSBAND is first a PRIEST of the house, the PROPHET OF THE HOUSE, the GENERAL OVERSEER OF HIS HOUSE and THE LEADER.... anything less is a disgrace to manhood. Many pastors rule over housewives because their men are too ignorantly weak to claim their position. BLAMING PASTORS WONT SOLVE IT, SIMPLY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
When a woman is speaking, I will know. Mtewwwww.

I know you are a female. If it's a rich guy who can comprehend statements, he would have bought a horse for her or take her to were horses are(certain resorts and bar beaches). If I tell my gf that I like horses and she buys me that car, I will accept but within me, I will ask "can she comprehend things at all?" grin

In case you have not noticed, I don't have the time to start dissecting your comments and arguing back and forth.

I only noticed how you seem to crying more than the bereaved. The op will still do what he wants. And if he collects the phone back, all well and good.
Na so.

But this Nl guys defence of "logical-emotional" is getting stale. Try something new and legit
This lacks sense. Defence of "logical-emotional"? What the hell does this mean? huh grin Arguments will always be logical, stupid or emotional. Nothing new can be tried. Sorry.

Hahahahahaha grin. Typical woman. Reducing logical arguments to emotional ones of who is broke and frustrated and who is not. grin You attempted this in your earlier post but I ignored. Now, do you have any better? Is that the best you can do? grin Women. If I say that I don't expect much intellectually from your gender on issues like this, you will call me a misogynist. Typical woman. grin

If I am the girl, and I want to prove stubborn, I will ask that we go to court. That will solve the matter because it will be seen as a case of an aggrieved lover.
Easy to say. In this case, you won't see it coming. Beside, he has the receipt and could charge you with theft so what can you do after he has taken it back? Also, this is Nigeria.

Romance › Re: Is It Childish To Collect The Gift You Gave Your Ex After Cheating? by Martinez39(m): 9:48am On Sep 02, 2019
ImaIma1:
I was just saying.

Cheating is unacceptable and if a guy will feel better retrieving his gift especially if it's something that shook his bank account, it's his choice.
Whether he feels right or not collecting it, he MUST collect it. grin

[s]Though I think a gift shouldn't be retrieved after a misunderstanding or whatever. For you to give someone something, it means it's something you can let go off. Taking is back after an issue seems to me like trying to lick your wounds and getting back at the person.
It's not just a gift. It a sacrifice of love that can only be easily made if you think there is something genuine between you and your significant other. Once you, like the op, realize that there was nothing genuine all along, the sacrifices were all for nothing and you were being used. It's therefore right to recoup the losses.

What if he had given her like 2million to pay for something and the money was already exhausted, what would he have done? That's why relationships are risks. He wasn't under duress or forced to give her the gift.
If he can collect the money in any other way and get away with it, he is justified. If he can't, he should count the painful loss and move on. This is what when society, the media and romance novels brainwash boys with the illusion called 'love'. The op must collect that phone back. If he can't, he must find a way to ruin it.

I won't call it childish. Since u gifted her the phone wen the going was good, forget the phone and break up wit her in peace......."Ever heard of been patient and watch"? Jst let it be the case......
The going was never good. He was being used all the while. The idea that the going was once good is all in the imagination.

if really u're good to her she'll come begging in the end.
False!! B!tches don't care if your are good to them. Your moral character is nothing to b!tches. All they care are the financial and materials thing they can get. You are very naive or stupid to think that the girl will come running back to him because he is good to her. SMH. grin

ImaIma1:
So if you bought her a perfume for her and she has used it, will you collect the remaining back or the empty bottle?
The empty bottle has no value. What will he do with an empty bottle? It's right and okay for him to collect his iPhone back. Beside, as a female, cheat and slut, it natural that you favour the narrative that collecting back the gifts is childish. Afterall, when you are caught, you would be happy if the mugu that thinks he is your boyfriend doesn't collect back the expensive gifts he gave you. Watch how your fellow farm tools and ladies will flood this thread telling the op that he is childish if he collects the phone.

If a guy buys a Benz and iPhone for the lady that he loves and he discovers that she has been fvcking another guy, he should collect the Benz and iPhone. He didn't buy it for other ladies and wouldn't have but he bought it for his gf as a sacrifice of love and didn't mind. Now that he has discovered that the sacrifices were all for nothing and were mere wastage and he was being used, he must collect his gifts to recoup his wastage. grin

come on,that is childish now,if God sud treat we human beings this way, where will you think we will be today??.Anyways,he sud maintain his worth by leaving d phone for her,it shows d phone is just a bit of what he had to offer that she will miss.
God and man are not the same. God is nonexistent. If God existed, your analogy would be flawed because God has infinite riches and doesn't have to work, also god can't be pained because he already knew she was cheating. Beside, god can never be used like the op because he is all knowing. The op must collect his phone as the gift and love for the b!tch were all for nothing.

Beside, as a female, cheat and slut behind a male moniker, it natural that you favour the narrative that collecting back the gifts is childish. Afterall, when you are caught, you would be happy if the mugu that thinks he is your boyfriend doesn't collect back the expensive gifts he gave you.

However, it will help you find closure considering how the relationship ended. So you can as well go ahead and collect it.

Lol. His gifts will do. He doesn't need the strokes and cum. smiley Don't take it personal. I know your conscience influenced the words of your post because as a cheat and slut, you wouldn't like it when your boyfriend(s) collect the expensive gifts he had(they've) bought for you so it's natural to favour the narrative that collecting a gift back is "childish". You are a female. Stop masquerading as a guy. You didn't buy car for anyone. You are calling iPhone ordinary and trying to make it incumbent on the op to forget about the iPhone because you yourself are a cheat and slut and you wouldn't want your bf collecting all he has bought for you after finding out that you cheated. Calm your guilty conscience. The op should collect his iPhone. He must undo the investments in the relationship as much as possible as she is not worth it afterall.

Where are Adnan Januzaj and Bojan Krkic? Adnan Januzaj performed greatly initially by scoring a brace to help Manchester United against Sunderland. After that, what did he do? I don't blame Bojan, he was a fantastic player whose style and position were similar to Messi. Bojan's sin was being in the same team with Messi in his prime.
