if she was a prostitute then i would have doubt the story bbut this woman has her reputation on ground, she is a respectable member of the society, no respectable woman in nigeria will just come out to cook up a story, there is truth to this story, it happened and i believe her..we shouldnt forget she also has her business and family name to protect, she wont just cook up stories for the sake of it.
It's true what you say, there are no evidences that Busola is the wayward type but then, how much do we really know the real Busola? How much do we really know the real Fatoyinbo? Many people are angels in the public eye and preach love on social media but offline they treat people they consider inferior and useless to them like trash, snub etc. How well do you know Busola? Is she really respectable offline? I keep my fingers crossed.

People are full of surprises and many at times, there are more than what meets the eyes. Could it be that her sordid and concentual past with Fatoyinbo or who knows were about to be unveiled to Timi Dakolo and she used this to cover up and divert? Given the fact that there fundme website was opened before she came out, could it be that the Dakolo's are facing a financial difficulty and they are trying to exploiting Fatoyinbo? Most of these celebs are struggling but we won't tell us as they live fake lives on social media. There are many possibilities, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Beside, you once asked why Pastor Fatoyinbo hasn't sued for defamation if he is indeed innocent, I ask why hasn't Busola gone to the police or filed a court case if she was raped?

this is Nigeria not america, respectable women of our society do not just lay an allegation on a pastor wihout proof
Not every you think is respectable is really respectable. Stop speaking for people you don't know in and out.

pls stop twisting my statement to suit your agenda, i hate long arguement, have any woman accuse you of rape before..no, i have never seen any man being accused of rape here in nigeria without evidence, i have watched videos of Nigerians guys raping girls on social media, what about the case of the young girl that was rape by many guys in one of our universitiesand the video spread on social media..pls stop pretending like rape do not happen in this nigeria and that all rape case is to make money..this is Nigeria not US, many rape case in Nigeria are mostly true, one day, go to court and see guys being accused of rape confessing, there has been a case of false accusation and the police investigated and send the guy home, in that case, the girl dated the guy for 6 years and he promised her marriage, then he started dating another girl and engaged her, the girl felt used and accused the girl of rape but the court free the guy at the end.
I admit that rape happens in Nigeria; our judicial system is corrupt and slow and wearying and our rape laws are not impressive but you are guilty of another mistake. That mistake is declaring Nigerian women relatively innocent and morally upright compared to their American and European counterparts just because they are Nigerians. Many nairalanders here have told us of how they were falsely accused. Ali baba, the comedian, even spoke of how his relative's life was nearly destroyed by a false allegation if not for the evidence that exonerated him. Hahn, my good friend, has a story about a false allegation that involves a relative or so. Another striking story, which I would never forget, was told by a nairalander, who happened to be a teacher, about how his student accused him of touching her vagina after he scolded her in front of the class. He was exonerated and rescued by his fellow students who stood by him and told the truth.

Another told of how a girl framed him because he asked her to go home since he didn't want to have sex and give her money but the girl insisted and threatened to accuse him of rape because he didn't want to have sex and give her money. The girl visited by herself, the guy didn't call her to come. The girl called a witness, just like Busola did, and it happened that witness, the guy's neighbour, was at odds with the guy prior to that encounter. She was trying to take advantage of the enmity between the guy and his neighbour. It did not work, the neighbour said the truth and the girl was beaten by her aunt.

"These are just stories" you might say but why believe Busola when she has just given us stories without evidence? Hypocrisy?

In gold digging, hypergamy, third wave feminism, manipulation and deceit, girls are basically the same everywhere.

where in the Nigeria law is financial settlement allowed in the case of rape, pls show me, if you pay a women 5000 naira to clear your name that is between you and her, no court in Nigeria will say you should pay any woman money for rape
I goofed on that, my bad. Despite the law not making provisions for compensation, false accusers may look for compensations as individuals, groups or companies may want to protect their reputation. Nevertheless, financial motives are not the only reasons why women falsely accuse people of rape.

where in this world, have they accuse a man of rape and he is sent to jail without investigation, if you are accused of rape and it is reported to the police, they do investigation, nobody send you to jail just because a woman cry rape..public opinion is not the court of justice..just because some people on the street believes her does not mean the police and court believes her
We are not saying that police don't do investigations, all I am saying is that many men go to jail for a rape crime they never commited EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE NO EVIDENCES TO BACK THE ACCUSERS CLAIM UP. Many men have lost jobs, scholarships, been expelled from their academic institution etc. because of false rape allegations made against them. The Internet is your friend. The issue is that people should stop banking on "I know her, she is nice person and can't lie," "she has no reason to lie," "many have been accusing him before so he did it," emotions and drama.

pls i still want you to give evidence of women accusing a guy of rape without evidence and people believe her here in Nigeria..pls show me proof,,in the case of sexworker, many men have sex with them and do not pay, the only way to make the man pay is to cry rape, then you see the man paying up his bill...i still want you to show me where in Nigeria, a woman has accused a man of rape without evidence and he is sent to jail.
Lol. Busola hasn't brought any evidence but you believe her. You are the example you are looking for. No one said men are wrongfully sent to jail in Nigeria instead we always point out Europe and America for this. Nigerian judicial system is corrupt and slow. It panders and shields the richer client. I don't know if it is still in practice but there was a time when rapist could pay #500,000 and go scot free.

i dont need to argue, names of top pastors of the church were called out as witness, so they are witness to the case..no need for long argument
The mistake you are making is believing every thing Busola said and every "talk talk" you have heard. The fact that a story sounds coherent doesn't mean it's true. Never underestimate the deceptive capacity and wickedness of the human mind. These top pastors, how do you know that they are witnesses? grin Did they say that they were there? Were you there? So because they were called out as witnesses means they are withness? A story, however coherent and plausible, can't be taken as fact without evidence. If I woke up one morning, said you raped my sister and pointed out that my friends are witnesses, should people believe me because I called witnesses? Beside, where are these pastors called out as witnesses? Have they testified or made admission? Be careful lilwetdick, we must be cautious lest we men and real rape victims are in trouble in the long run.

Even if certain pastors start admitting and calling out Fatoyinbo without proof, would you rule out the possibility of an enmity, rebellion or mutiny of pastors against Fatoyinbo? Either there is evidence or not.

and there is nothing like dem say here, all true statement and lot of names called out in the almost 2 hour video, even the the pastor told another pastor that he had an affair with her, lets imagine he has an affair, it means he committed a crime by having sex with a minor
What evidence do have to assert that the statements are true? Name calling is not evidence.

Nb: I am not supporting Fatoyinbo or Busola, I am only championing due process. If it is proven that Busola and Fatoyinbo had a sexual encounter then Fatoyinbo must face the music for sleeping with a minor. However, as long as there are no evidences for rape or a sexual encounter, Pastor Fatoyinbo shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Fatoyinbo Steps Down As COZA Pastor Pending Investigations by Martinez39(m):
This is wrong. On no account must a man's life be disrupted or source of livelihood stifled because of an allegation without evidence. Investigation into this issuing and pastor Fatoyinbo continuing his pastoral work are mutually exclusive except if Busola has filed a case and hearing has been scheduled for a day he is supposed to work as a pastor or if he has been subpoenaed on a day he is supposed to minister to his congregation.

Foolish Nigerians. This same mob mentality made so many innocent souls die during the Spanish inquisition and Salem witch trials.

After a forensic analysis, nothing can be more true...
Facts are as follows.

1. Pst Biodun did not violently r@pe Busola. He manupulated her into agreeing to open her legs after being romantic with her.
2. Busola was a virgin prior to her experience with Biodun
3. They had multiple consentual s3x as at then
4. She fell madly in love with him as at then
5. He broke her heart as a result of a promise he couldnt fulfill. Maybe she expected him to throw his wife and marry her later on I cant say what that was its between both of them.
6. She became promiscuous due to the emotional trauma Biodun placed on her at an early age.
7. She left a trail of whoredom before she met Timi.
8. They started having crisis in marriage. Timi made her talk
9. Looking back at her life over the years, and how messed up it had been, she connected the dots back to Biodun blaming him for her misery
10. she then came up with the rape story because she felt that consentual sex at that age was still rape(she didnt know at that time tho)
11. shes a pained woman living in regrets of how she ruined her youth and blames Biodun for her mysery
12. She want to see him suffer thats the only way she feels she would heal..

"Hell hath no fury than a scorned woman"
Perhaps, her sordid and concentual past affair with Pastor Fatoyinbo was about to be uncovered so she is try to protect herself. There have been cases where girls used a false rape allegation to cover themselves when they were suspected/near caught cheating or even caught cheating.

Pastor Fatoyinbo should sue them for harassment and gratuitous disruption of activities. He has not been proven guilty and he has not been charged to court by Mrs. Dakolo. Pastor Fatoyinbo shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty. No evidence, no conviction and condemnation for Pastor Fatoyinbo.

If that woman in the picture, the one I suspect, is amakavula then amakavula looks like a widow maltreated by the Umuadas. Take heart nne.

there are evidences, did you watch the full interview?

Bisola brother and family members know about it, top pastors of the church know about it, the pastor apologized to her and cried grace and human weakness meaning he acknowledge that he committed a crime..their are living witness, the pastors of COZA in lagos and portharcourt are living witness, during the interview, she mentioned names of top pastors and their wives in the church who are witness to the event, some of them threatened to leave the church during that time.
I watched the video. It's simply one's words and claim against another and that is not evidence. Dem say dem say, I hear I hear is not evidence. I ask again, how do you know that Pastor Fatoyinbo apologised and cried about it? Were you there? These living witnesses you are talking about, can you trust them for sure? It's better to be neutral until sound evidences comes up. Pastor Fatoyinbo is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

the problem here lies in assuming all rape case are a means to an end, most people who cry rape and make money out of it are white women not black women..how man times have a black women cry out rape and she was listened to
No one is saying that all rape cases are means to an end. Experience has taught people that sometimes, it is a means to an end hence the need for caution in handling this matter. If a society silences rape victim, awareness and campaigns must be made to enable an environment where victims speak without feeling ashamed instead of espousing the idea that every rape allegation must be believed. You empower women by enabling them to speak up and take legal action instead of believing them without evidence.

according to the law he might be guilty because there are witness who are alive to testify, the deed actually happen and it was something hidden from the public view, if they take it up in the court, he will be charged because, there are witness who will testify, we shouldnt forget he begged for forgiveness, if it was a case where she didnt tell anybody before now, then we could say she wanted to tarnish his image but their are top pastors in his church who know about the event.
How do you know Busola's story is true? Where you there? Did you see Fatoyinbo begging for forgiveness? Besides, what do you mean by "if it was a case where she didnt tell anybody before now, then we could say she wanted to tarnish his image" ? If she had spoken next two years, would you think she wanted to tarnish his image? What reasoning is this? You would be among those shouting "rape is rape and she can talk anytime she wants."

i am not discarding neymar or ronaldo because they are not nigerians but the facts remains that both guys are not pastors nor religious leaders, they are top footballers whom women are attracted to, so many women might be willing to make money from them compare to the Nigerian pastors case,
Hahahahahaha. Nigerian pastors are rich and as long as you have cash in abundance, you are a potential victim of false rape accusations. Attractiveness and being handsome has no bearing here.

he is a leader of a big church, he preaches against rape but then again rapes people,
How do you know that he rapes people? Any evidence?

people sees him as a father that cant do no harm but then there are evidences that he has commited rape, we will all be disappointed, we also shouldnt forget that here in Nigeria, many pastors are deceitful, they manipulate women to sleep with them, they even go about destroying people's home, in my opinion, since i have seen proof, the man is guilty since he has acknowledge and apologized to her, shows that he committed the crime.
Please show me these evidences. It is true that pastors are wicked and manipulative but that doesn't mean that the rape claim of any Bimbo or Anita against any pastor is true. I can be an assassin but that doesn't mean I killed everyone that was assassinated. Evidence is the only thing that matters.

yes, it is true that women are not innocent and some might accuse a guy of rape but in this case, there are no financial benefit here, i also believe if you are accused of rape as a man, it is your job to sue for blackmail and make sure the women goes to jail and i advice every man falsely accused of rape to do it.
She doesn't need to demand money, she would be compensated if things go her way. Besides, the fame and donations she is getting are benefits of some kind.

why question is, why is the pastor not sueing for blackmail?
Urm, why is Neymar not suing for defamation? No everyone has time or wishes to pay legal fees for a case they could let go.

So, can we agree that evidence is needed for every claim no matter a man's past or present reputation? Remember that the fact that I am a known assassin or serial killer doesn't mean I killed Funso Williams.

There have been very many instances when a girl has falsely accused the man of rape, and I said, "Making false allegations is a crime. Oh yes. They nearly cost Brett Kavanaugh the position of supreme justice. I remember when they declared Brett Kavanaugh guilty until proven innocent. A lot of metoo sheeples and democrat politicians keep screaming "I believe her." The accuser story kept changing and she could not be supported by eye witness accounts.

This is where you fail. You suggest that something quite sinister and mysterious must have occurred before a girl accuses a guy of rape? How naive. As I have said, either there is evidence or not. Evidence is all that matters. I am not making it out that I or anyone was falsely and everyone believed the accuser even though something like this happens all the time thanks to the foolish majority.

If a man walks in iniquity, evidence must still be demanded before the claims of any Bimpe or Anita shall be considered valid. I might be a serial killer and assassin but that doesn't mean I murdered Funso Williams.

If their bosses immediately dispense of them on "mere act of an accusation" then they must either have seen enough to be convinced they were probably guilty so perhaps you should have placed yourself above suspicion, or their bosses are not good judges of people so being sacked is to your advantage as it releases you to go elsewhere. Either ways, serves them right I say!
No, it's either there is evidence or not. Suspicion is not evidence. Evidence, evidence. Finding a new job solves nothing, it will be on the man's record that he was fired for being accused of rape and he will face rejection in every interview thereby making it hard for him to get a job, where will he go to then? Even if he gets a job again and such keeps repeating itself, where shall he go to?

Remember that many at times, finding a new job is very difficult and since the guy has been treated as being guilty(until proven innocent), he will live with the label of a rapist until he is proven innocent(which might not happen). What shall he do? Even if he is proven innocent, the damage is already done and the accuser, as usual, is giving a slap on the wrist thereby making things worse. That could begin a downward spiral for the innocent soul. Who does it serve right really?

What shall you say of those expelled, rusticated or, even worse, given expulsion from their university over a mere allegation? What shall happen to the years of study wasted? They should move to a new university because it serves everyone right? undecided If they move to a new university and the same thing happens, they should move to a new university because it serves everyone right? undecided What's up with you?

What about those who lost scholarships over mere allegations that were later proven false? It was okay for them to lose their scholarships because moving away serves both concerned ends right? SMH. grin

when a man is fired from his job on the mere act of an accusation what do you call that?

How many men have been told to step down after being accused? Before even the court cases begin?

#MeToo is just for pained women who get no Dick. No wonder the majority of the women accusing men are BUTT UGLY GORILLAS.

Did you see the gorilla face that started #metoo? I'm even asking myself WHO WOULD SLEEP WITH SUCH AN ABOMINATIONhuh
I think one budaatum is yet to grab the following :

1) No one is denying that rape victims feel traumatised. No one is saying that sexual abuse victims shouldn't speak up.

2) No one is saying that accusers are lying instead we are demanding due process and reasoning instead of emotions and drama.

3) Due process demands that we stay neutral and follow where the evidence leads. Due process demands that all accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Due process forbids that a man be convicted without concrete evidence.

4) An allegation without evidence should amount to nothing. Gaining the support of the majority doesn't valid one's rape claim a bit. Too many women accusing a particular man isn't evidence that the man is guilty.

5) On no account shall a man's life be disrupted for a rape allegation that isn't backed by evidence. It's wrong for a man to be sacked, expelled from school, lose his source of livelihood or be ostracised by society over a rape claim that has no evidence.

6) The #metoo movement is a failed movement and a laughing stuck to itself. It espouses, by pressurising and going emotional, the idea of believing women blindly. It stifles due process and demands that all accused be deemed guilty until proven innocent. This movement wants men who are accused to be sacked, deprived and ostracised by the society until their names are cleared. Imagine how ludicrous they've become.

7) Emotions, drama and the accusation of a man by thousands of women are not evidence.

I know some will come telling me that the metoo movement is about supporting sexual abuse victims blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah but I know better that actions, not labels, are the best descriptions of any group or individual. It's similar to the case when people defend the men hating feminists by saying "... but feminism is all about gender equality and equal rights for women." Goddamnit, actions, not labels, are the best and authentic descriptions of a group or individual.

If women are not careful and if they keep pushing men to the wall, the patriarchy which they dread so much will come back for good. There is a limit to which you can push men.

aviato:
Cristiano Ronaldo has not been exonerated and is still being investigated, if he did nothing wrong why did he pay the woman who accused him 375,000 dollars to sign a non disclosure argument? Neymar brought evidence to exonerate himself and the police did not charge him due to lack of evidence on the woman's part, in Cuba gooding's case he has been charged and there is evidence so I don't get all this fallacious comparisons you are making trying to convince your misogynistic self that you are right.
Stop diverting. You typed "if there was no evidence against him I wonder why he has not sued her for defamation... making it to be like if a man doesn't sue for defamation then there is evidence against him and if he hasn't been acquitted then he is guilty or has evidence against him. By your logic, Neymar is guilty and has evidence against him because he didn't file for defamation. Do you see how silly you sound when you try to imply that Pastor Fatoyinbo is guilty and has evidence against him because he hasn't sue for defamation?

Note this and note very well, because somebody has been charged to court doesn't mean that they are guilty of a damn thing. People can and have the right to sue any Tom, Dick and Harry for literally anything and that doesn't mean the accused is guilty of a damn thing. Also, people settling their accuser is not a admission of guilt. People, especially celebrities and stars, settle their accusers so as not to have their reputation destroyed thanks to unstable and foolish majority who rally blindly behind any accuser. People have lost their jobs, gone to jail, ostracized, shamed and harassed for a rape crime they never committed. So, why won't they consider settlement? Wasn't innocent Neymar's image removed from a master card advertisement because of the false accusation?

Pastor Fatoyinbo shall be presumed guilty until proven innocent. Good day.

Nonsense. Let them defend their pastor for it is right thing to do. You can't disrupt people's lives and activities based on allegations without evidence to back them up.
