Romance › Re: Why Should A Woman Be The One To Cook And Do Chores If She Earns As Well? by Martinez39(m): 8:17pm On May 11, 2019
Sandrazima:
The culture of women cooking and doing house chores was created at a time when women didn't work and just stayed at home all day as their husbands brought home food and money. Now that women also bring home money why should they be the ones to cook and do chores?

Why should a woman go to work, get home in the evening and still be the one to cook and clean the house while her husband who did the same amount of work as she just sits and relaxes? I think men should also cook and do house work.
Lol. The problem with many women is that they always try to eat their cake and have it. As a mother, taking care the children and chores with a little side hustle while the financial responsibility mainly rests on the man works better. If you don't have a nanny and you want to be the career woman by all means, you marriage will crack. Marriage involves sacrifice. The sacrifice for a woman is mainly her time for her career. D'ija is a good example. Mrs. Antonella Messi is another. You cannot have it both ways.

Even if you get a good nanny without giving much time to your spouse because of your career, your husband will likely take your nanny as his unofficial wife. This is where feminism destroys marriages. Feminism degrades the traditional roles of being a mother and uplifts the independent career woman that needs no man. The independent career woman that needs no man, that flaunts her superiority and independence cannot be a wife. There is nothing bad in playing the neo-traditional roles of a wife, it's not a sin anywhere. If you carry feminism for head and your marriage crashes, you won't see your fellow feminists around to fix the damages but if you do the right thing and your marriage lasts, it's you that will enjoy it.

In essence, marriage involves sacrifice in terms of time for the woman and in terms of money for man. Enjoy your marriage.

Stupid set of entitled women who feel they are entitled to every thing just because they have a vagina. Who forced you to give birth? Did anyone hold you at gun point to force pregnancy and child birth on you? When you were having sex, didn't you know what will come after? Why then should you be rewarded for doing something willingly?

Nonsense. undecided

What cars do we drive here that looks cheap in America?

And who told you a homeless man in Nigeria cannot start from the scratch and work his way up in Nigeria as well?

You people need to know that America is not heaven. The average Nigerian drives a more expensive car than the average American. Africans are generally more extravagant than Americans.

Maybe she wanted to divorce him and take the house and take alimony. In USA, when a woman divorces you, no matter who is at fault, she takes half of your money, she takes your children, you pay child support and alimony(if you can't pay, you go to jail) and your house becomes her house and you become homeless.

If I am an American citizen and my wife was seeking to divorce me, I will blast her head with a gun. Nonsense.

Beggars in the UK and US has hope. ALL Americans can afford food.

Their case is like that of a child who has #100 but to that child, its small and term it poverty. While there are other children who will see #10 and jubilate and call themselves bigboys.

Almost all Americans can afford iPhone, but in Nigeria, only our celebs and those involve in frauds can afford it.

How many legit citizens can afford Benz in Nigeria? In America, its a normal car to them.

How many youths can afford a laptop and confidently go out to do legit business with it in Nigeria? But in the US and UK, young lads go to parks and public places with free internet access to connect to do business.

See let's stop deceiving ourselves. Nigeria is in a mess, people are suffering. Some people have no hope of today's meal.
As in. Most the cars we drive with pride here in Nigeria are seen as low class or cheap article over there. Nigeria is far behind. Anyone that uses the presence of poor people and the homeless in America to insinuat that things are hard everywhere and that America isn't much better of needs a resounding slap.

In America, a homeless man CAN start from scratch and work his way up but what are the chances for a homeless begger in Nigeria? Even graduates are miserable.

People are going to school to get degree and all form of aquirement because of money, not passion,it is not to make a difference in the society the nigerian parent have sang it to their children that it the only way to financial success, the president is telling the obvious that it isn't people should change the mentatity.that as being passed on to them it is wrong,if graduate keep seeing it as an el dorado they will keep getting frustrated and no wonder most are discontent with their pay even if it a reasonable sum.those that are bitter about his statement are those that see it as d real deal.
The reason why people are doing it for the money is because, thanks to the government, passion leads you nowhere. By not creating platforms/jobs where talent and skills can flourish, develop and be profitable, people have lost the incentive to develop many academic skill for the sake of it and are now seeking the money. Why would I want to go through the immense stress of learning physics or engineering to the highest level for the sake of it when I would likely end up teaching in a secondary school or in a bank? I could just get a first degree alone and achieve either and have time to make money instead of studying the advanced level courses. Where is the incentive?

The reason why youths don't take education seriously but take entertainment seriously is because of the incentive of making it big with a few hit songs. For education, the lack of platforms/jobs makes the education virtually irrelevant.

I know some folks with the thought of let's get additional certificates that are now chartered accountant, PhD holders , medical doctors etc dt are jobless... Even those dt managed to secured job and have necessary certificates have been sent packing...A medical doctor of mine is thinking of going to the north cos he heard there are vacancies for doctors...the highest he has ever earned is 70-80k as locum...

Guys are really trying, some even got married with the hope maybe d children will give them luck...when it comes to degrees and certificates , Nigerians have them in abundance. The government dt supposed to provide succour is saying we should look elsewhere......where should we look at again.
The fact that doctors aren't well paid shows you the unseriousness of the wicked and self-righteous government we have.
Politics › Re: Buhari: University Degrees Won’t Necessarily Usher You Into An El Dorado by Martinez39(m): 10:44am On May 11, 2019
famouscargo4u:
He said the pure truth. You need to hone your skills, acquire more trainings to stand out among many people. Have you ever wondered how companies keep advertising vacancies almost every week YET many people can't still get job?
People need to horn their skills and the government should provide the platform for these skills to be displayed and profitable to the society and those who have them. In developed countries, if you are talented in playing chess, the platform and cash juicy tournaments to demonstrate and develop your talent and tour the world are abundant but over here, its pathetic. Why is it that in soccer, African players are usually the victims of fraudulent football agents? Where is the official body to put such agents in check?

People have their parts to play and the government have their parts to play. When there are no platforms, people lose incentive. There are no serious Physics research facilities in this country and no great jobs for most Physicists hence many Nigerians don't see knowing advanced Physics as important. The stifling of skilled people by the government in not creating platforms makes people to lose incentive in developing certain skills and it makes people think all about money. Not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. Some people are better off with a job.

If you go to America, you see STEM graduates(especially physics, maths, engineering and medical students) carrying themselves with pride. Why? Because there are good paying jobs for them that gives them the incentive to keep developing their skills and at the end of the day, they keep the level of science and technology of their countries at the highest level. Little surprise that they win Nobel Prizes and students take pride in studying these courses. What hope is there for physicists and engineers in this country? To teach in secondary schools? To work in banks? So what are the incentives to attain knowledge of Physics and Engineering at the highest level? Little wonder we lag in scientific and technological innovation and we depend on other countries for our phones, cars, TV, cameras etc. and this doesn't look like stopping anytime soon.

Let's not kid ourselves. Citizens will horn their skills but when government doesn't create platforms/jobs for many skills to thrive, people lose incentive. Government needs to be serious about human capital. Our hospitals and university facilities in science and engineering departments are deteriorating and where never sufficient to begin with. In medical school, I was told by the histology lab attendant that the slides we were using are old slides. The hotels are deteriorating with no sign of improvement. Government needs to step up and they are lagging by a million miles. People need to horn their skills, I agree but government must take education and human capital seriously by creating platforms/well paying jobs if academic knowledge must flourish and benefit society. These platforms must also be improved and upgraded continually. It's a shame that doctors are living the country but nothing is being done about that. Does this government look serious to you? Even our sports sector is laughable. Someone who is talented in playing baseball in America can become a multimillionaire but would that be the case in Nigeria?

It's easy for the government to brand citizens lazy and blame them for not having the apt skill but why don't they look at themselves and ask "what incentive and platforms do we create?", "the existing facilities that are insufficient are deteriorating, what have we done about that?" Blaming the citizens is like the government blaming a man for not having the skill to skip a pothole when they could have fixed the pothole. Though graduates are not entitled to a job but any serious government and society would take human capital and platforms/job creation very seriously. In the long run, it is a win for the government, citizens and society.

You sabi them wella. Women are slaves to their ego. Relationship now for them is a big diick measuring contest, comparable to human trafficking, where men are the victims, judged purely by his rank in the socio-economical ladder, then trafficked into relationship where he spend to sustain it, until either his eye clear or him money finish. Or both. Women are good players in this game and it take real life experience and mastery to understand all their tricks. If you're a man not surrounded by women a lot, then you really miss interesting conversations that will ride you on an adventure to how women reason and also be able to see men through their eyes.

they always deny this part of their nature, even if their actions and words are inconsistent and polarized like day and night. The thing is, human mating and attraction is still primal, at it's very core. The dominant man (aka badboy) are the hot cakes, because if na jungle we de so, they will be the one that will most likely survive and thrive.
That's the sad part. Most men will learn the hard way expect if they are like few of us who learnt from other people's experiences. I learnt about women from other people's experiences and observing them keenly. Never take a woman's words seriously, look at their actions.

Additionally, if the bad guy turn to mr nice guy after he fall in love with her, na to leave him go pursue other bad guys outside wey go de give her butterfly feelings. It is comparable to women getting fat after marriage, its an attraction killer. The only reason why most women settle na because them don de old, and them no want turn to left overs or as nairaland guys de call them, evening newspapers grin
Exactly! Once the bad guy becomes nice, she has accomplished her mission and her ego returns so she loses interest in the guy as he becomes boring and "just like every other guy." She would seek new challenge in another bad boy. She was never interested in the bad boy, it was the challenge of redeeming her ego that she was interested in. A self-centered challenge.

Treat a woman like a star, she treats you like a fanboy.
Romance › Re: Why Are Some Ladies Attracted To Bad Boys? by Martinez39(m): 8:54pm On May 10, 2019
Ladies like attention and control. Bad boys don't give ladies attention or let girls control them in anyway. Because of a beautiful woman's ego, when a boy does not give her attention or let her control him, her ego is crushed and she doesn't feel good enough about herself. She is humbled and she questions her self worth by asking herself "so I am not that hot?" She then runs after him and gives him attention and obedience in hopes that she can redeem her ego and sense of self worth by getting his attention and controlling him. She wants him to be an enslaved simp and by so doing, her ego is restored.

Actually, people who do literature criticism are not always on the same page as regards meaning. It is to be expected because most of the time the authors are dead and cannot answer questions. However in the case of a living god being said to be actively involved in speaking to its worshipful adherents, it is incomprehensible why the message would not be the same across board.
No. I am not talking about mysteries in novels. For literary works, the parts that are clear, metaphorical and unclear are recognised by everyone. The parts that are unclear and mysterious may see different literary critics come up with their own theories on what the author could have meant or what could have been the case in the story.

With the Holy books, the parts that are clear are subjected to having "many interpretation". The story of Adam and Eve and that of Noah are clear on their message but certain people still brand them metaphorical. I have witnessed someone(president1) trying to imply that the Job in the bible wasn't a person but a metaphor until an atheist busted his a55 with facts. You get what I mean?
Christianity Etc › Question On Interpretation Of Holy Texts. by Martinez39(op): 4:23pm On May 09, 2019
Why is it that when the whole world read Things Fall Apart, Half of a Yellow Sun, Shelock Holmes, Treasure Island etc. everyone agrees on what the books say and there meanings & messages are unmistakable to anyone.

However, when it comes to a particular holy book, there are different interpretations all of a sudden. Why is that? I once quoted the bible to someone to disprove a claim he made about christianity but he accused me of being too literal. huh

Funny enough, the interpretations these people (those who claim that you should take the bible/quran literally and that they are many interpretations for these books) have are interpretations that only they could have made up. Worse is that these interpretations are personally fashioned for the sake of their convenience and to suit their taste.

In the 2011 ucl encounter with Real Madrid, Madrid would have beaten Barcelona if not for the referee's huge bias and the dishonest antics of Barcelona players. Madrid were frustrated in the first leg.

Before they got to those finals, Barcelona cheated Chelsea in 2009 and cheated Madrid in 2011. Nevertheless, all Messi goals in those encounters were legit and pure class.
