mrczar:From reading trends here, I understood people usually highlight that VO always want you to explain if there was a large deposit into your account which was not your salary. Also, they don’t always like you to spend more than double of your disposable income for a visit/holiday. Declaring you will spend £2,500 for a 2 weeks trip which amounts to spending nearly your 5 month’s salary to the UK to attend someone’s wedding is a red flag to them. |
He will definitely need transit visa even if it is the same airline transiting through EU and this this is entirely change of airline yerima21: |
DrObum:Thank you |
Melahou:Oh okay…..thanks |
DrObum:This is because no confirmation email has been sent till now. My worry is, what will be the evidence of the appointment on that day since it was done manually? |
Good evening everyone, Please, for those people who used manual registration for their medicals, do you mind to share the link of the form you were asked to fill on the day of the appointment? Can the form be filled before hand or has to be filled when you get to the centre on the appointment day? Thanks |
latinah:Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried to book online but web response is that I can’t book online for a person less than 18years old. |
Zimzee:Good morning house, please I have an issue. I’ve been trying to book appointment online at IOM Lagos for my 2year+ old son but can’t book online for a child less than 18. I’ve called severally, didn’t get through. I’ve also sent emails and no response. Who is going to IOM Lagos soon that can be of help for this booking please? Then, how much is the test for a 2 year old? Thanks. |
I don’t think there should be any issue. Most hospitals here provide accommodation for their intending nurses and sometimes they even certify maintenance for the applicant. I didn’t submit any personal statement of account and I made little mistakes, still visa was granted. Let your friend keep faith high and be positive. Fingers crossed for her. Denikki: |

Hello house, Since UK now requires a negative covid test before departure, please does anyone know where I can do the test in oyo/osun axis. Thank you. |
My mum is also retired. I have applied for visa for her twice, both granted. The person who will sponsor between you and hubby should not matter, as long as the person has a valid leave in the UK and you can prove your relationship with them. In the letter of invitation, your husband to explain that he will sponsor flight and everything. With this, they might not really consider their statements. Either your hubby alone or both of you submit your Statement, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure the statement you will submit is robust enough to cover their expenses. If your parents have monthly pension coming into their accounts, it might worth printing out and submit. You must be able to show evidence of their tie to home. You can attach copies of their properties in Nigeria. Keep your application simple and uncomplicated. Show your relationship to them via your birth certificate and marriage certificate. That’s my personal experience and has worked for me. Amount that you will quote for total trip should be in moderation. Cheers. narpheesarh: |

Thanks to @Sego12345 that responded to my query yesterday. Visa granted. Timeline: Application submission- October 29. Biometrics- November 10. Email for passport pick up- December 1. Passport arrived today. Thank you Jesus!!! Good news to those awaiting their decision. Marytee2: |
Uk is moving to tiered restrictions from December 3. You should be able to fly to the UK after the lockdown would have been lifted tomorrow. opomulero: |
I still checked yesterday and all I saw was that it was received by DMC. Only after I received their email today and checked, it has changed to “received by VAC” Nnemomatina: |
Whenever it comes, I pray it’s good news. RetiredHoodlum: |
Amen thanks bro. This gave me reassurance. Sego12345: |

Hello gurus in the house. A quick question. If I changed my appointment date on tls website, will I lose the money initially paid e.g payment for express courier?? Thanks. |
Monmarri:Thank you so much for this, really appreciate |
Please answer my queries if you can.... Hi @Justwise and other gurus in the house, My husband and I live in the UK and I have the dependent visa. We want to apply for my mum's visa so my question are: 1. an I write the letter of invitation as a dependant or my husband is the one to write it? 2. Even if I was not the one that invited her, can I submit my statement of account and stand as a sponsor, or hubby's statement must be submitted? Better still, can we co-sponsor? 3. Can we apply for a 2 year visa as a first timer or it is a strict rule of 6 months application for a first timer? I will await response. Many thanks.[/quote] |

Hello everyone. Please do you know if I can still get appointment at TLS Ikeja for this February? Who applied recently should please let me know. Thank you. |
Good evening my people cc @justwise. I need an urgent advice on how one can change the submission center from VI to Ikeja. Is this possible please? Asking for a friend. They have paid for visa application o |
boyspyjay:If you’ve been refused visa twice, I don’t think you are eligible for super priority service. I might be wrong though |
STENON:I think you should be able to invite them yourself, especially, since you re inviting them for your wedding. Only that, they need to provide their pension account, their savings account and any investments they have in Nigeria. You will also attach your statement of account here, BRP, account in Nigeria if you have, showing that you send money to them often. Then, your birth certificate which will show they are your parents and most importantly, make sure there is enough funds in the account you want to present. If any of these cannot be met, then, maybe your aunt will be in the best position to invite them. That’s the only advice I can give. Others can contribute also |
