Hi,
With mathematics I think you should just try and get certifications that will qualify you as a teacher. I assume teaching professionals are still in the shortage occupation list. That will give you a better chance. Because if you do not work in healthcare and have no certificate to prove that you studied a health care course, you will be scored zero at the skill level and that won’t get you a visa except you have a PhD certificate that gives you 20points to make up for it. It’s a point based system and the above has been a problem for many at the visa stage of the process.

I paid for PRIORITY application.

I did biometrics on the 17th Nov.

Application was received at DMC on the 18th Nov.

Tomorrow (29th Nov) will make it 8 WDs since my application was received at DMC.

I thought Priority application normally takes 5 WDs. Do these people think GBP 220 is cray fish? I even paid for self, wifey and child; that's GBP 660 (almost 370k).

Meanwhile, is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Yes you mum can bring your son. You would have to equip her with all the vital documents . Usually a Notarised letter giving consent to your mother to travel with your son. The letter should include but not limited to the below.Also make copies of your legal residency permit, and on the day of travel, be very close to your phone, if possible be available at the point of entry airport.

Give consent from the parent(s) to allow their child(ren) to travel with their grandparents
Includes all children's full names and ages
Indicates the travel period from departure to the date of return including a few days before and after in case of any travel changes
Include the name of the notary and the date notarized
Lists the general travel destination(s)
Provides contact information for the parent, including the full address and any major phone numbers
Provide the name of the grandparent(s)
Provide the name of the parent(s).
Show the signature of the parent(s) and the date

Concerning the Covid-19 test, my findings show the result is valid for 72 hours, is this 72hours to the time of departure r to the time of arrival at my destination. my flight leave for Manchester on the 12 but arrives on the 13th, I'll be leaving from Benin on Sunday, 10th, my question is this, is it advisable to do my covid-19 test here in Benin on Saturday and get my results early Sunday morning here in Benin or do it at Lagos on Sunday and get the results early Monday morning?

The gurus in the house please I don't know what else to do, I did biometric on 16th August for skilled workers visa in abuja.
I have not heard about my application. Did paid email and paid call was told my request is escalated. It takes 15 working days to respond. The first email from the paid email said a decision has been made.
I also sent a friend to abuja TLS to know if my passport is there but he said it is in British High Commission.

Also in my application I declared I have Canada student visa refusal and south Africa visa refusal.

Although I have previous travel history to USA twice which I wrote.

Please house want can I do I am tired of the wait. It is 1 month and 11 days since I did my biometric. Even those who did after me have received their passport and even travelled. Any advice will be appreciated.

Visa collected for family of five (5) today.
*Biometrics: 22 September Ikeja TLS (Priority for all 5 of us)
*Sent to DMC same day and received by DMC... Then it decided to hang there.
*Declared previous travels to US and UK as well as previous refusals (one refusal for US last year and one for UK 11 years ago).
*No non-straightforward mail, but I was so anxious when the 5-working day priority period elapsed. Sent a mail to UK Visa and Immigration last week Tuesday and got a response to provide more details for investigation (GWF number, passport number, date of birth, place of application, date of biometrics. reason for escalation etc.). Nothing heard from them again till now.
*Got collection mail for all 5 of us yesterday between 2:44pm and 3:06pm.
*Picked up today after waiting on a long queue for almost two hours.
Next plan- Travel.

Although I had already submitted our visa application before joining this thread, I enjoyed following the conversations and got one or two learnings from here.

Thanks to all who support others here and congrats in advance to all waiting to collect their visas.

Hello house, please I urgently need your help.

I needed to pay for the £220 Priority service so I reached out to a friend who knows someone in the UK that helped me made the payment and I transferred the money to his Naira account here. But the issue is when I went for biometric on (23rd September) I asked the lady doing the biometric if my application is priority or standard because I was skeptical about it and she showed me on the screen that the £220 payment is showing pending.

But when I tracked my application the next day is already at the 3rd stage “Application Received by DMC” does that means it is priority or is there another way for me to confirm it is priority service because tomorrow will make it 2 weeks I did biometric.

Please I need your guidance . my sister just got a job in UK under the Health Care Skilled worker. She had received her COS and she is expecting to resume in November but yet to submit her application as at today. Can she meet up with the november resumption date on her COS? Also the husband want to accompany her to UK just to spend 10 days and returns to Nigeria before he finally join with the children next year . Can the husband also apply for Visa with her now ? if yes, which visa category? I will appreciate your urgent response.
