EreluRoz:Me! Young man? Ha ha ha I've been a federal worker for over 16 years my friend! Not everyone on this faceless forum is your age mate. We once had a US army soldier on this forum who went by the moniker "Hungerbad". Unfortunately, we lost him. He was a philanthropist. Today some of you would have abused him and his post not knowing you are abusing someone who can help your destiny.

How much Spotify pays for 3 billion streaming on a song will give us an idea of the kind of money whizzy makes from those platforms. Boy is balling. |
MrProlific95:These are arrears of the November - December wage award promised them. It is really a breath of fresh air but with inflation, how far can it go until salaries are paid. Most may go into offsetting debt for some people. |
The banks are now a cesspit of cyber crimes and grand cover ups. No bank is spared from this financial malady. They are quick to blame the customers for breeches to their funds. |
The government is clutching at straws . Our economic minders clearly need help in navigating the financial bobby traps set against it in the FX market. It's only by deploying a superior strategy that they can untangle the naira from the web of entanglements weighing it down. Brute force won't cut it. Clamping down on BDCs may generate a negative blowback. |
Davido is more robust and grounded. He may look like a younger version of Davido, it's practically impossible for him to replicate the swag. |
But for his uncouth behavior, Wike is a serious administrator . |
Those who keep the temple of the law clean should not be caught desecrating it. |
Those who should be prosecuting the economic saboteurs are busy chasing shadows at Sabo, Ibadan and leaving the real culprits to launder their round tripping gains in the stock market. |
Was this write up supposed to be read in this heat and economic situation? When you can not explain it like you would to a 5 year old then you don't understand the subject matter. @op should realize that Asiwaju was one of the protagonists who stood against the subsidy removal in 2012. He can not suddenly turn around and accuse Nigerians of not shedding the burden when it was lighter. |
The mistake the man made was not putting his wife in the know until she received the unsolicited thanks. However, she is over reacting! |
Ebukamatth:It's called de'javu |
This is totally a wrong move. Usage of Brute force will not force the arbitrageurs to renounce the only business line they have ever known. Let the CBN sell FX through DMBs to all at competitive rates and the BDCs would crumble naturally. All these dramas will create unnecessary heating up of the FX market with the attendant scarcity of FX and continued naira devaluation. I'm not a prophet of gloom and doom but I can deduce from the actions of the government that they may soon criminalize the possession of the dollar. If all interventions fails to halt the slide of the naira, they may confiscate the dollars in dorm. Accounts. There is no low to which this government can not sink. Watching! |
Why intercept them now when they will all eventually be granted amnesty and integrated back into their communities? |
On the contrary sir, the south west is a melting pot where Nigerians from all walks meet to better their lot economically. That the protests is happening in the south west is a reflection that Nigeria as a collective entity is in a dire straight. All available indices before this time has always portrayed the north as backward in human capital development. So, there is no surprise when demonstrations erupt from that region. Also, some cultural factors which abhors begging and sees it as akin to sacrilege may have subdued the South East and South South regions from joining the gale of hunger demonstration sweeping across the country. There have been calls from traditional institutions in the south east for her people not to join in the hunger demonstrations of late. |
The French were justifying their presence in the sahel by tacitly supporting the taureg rebels to create a state of insecurity while they mined uranium ad libitum. It's clear for all to see now. Thanks for noticing the double standards of this western imperialists |
Interesting!! HI never still get freedom up till now? |
The hunger in the land is palpable! In the words of Prof. chinua Achebe, "it can be cut with a knife" . What's the difference between us and Palestinians pilfering aid convoy and not that we are in a war situation o! |
Yes Fada! Those seeking to destabilize the state will themselves not know peace in their lives. |
Haba Mr Mamady! Even the civilians you appointed to oversee the transition program, you have overthrown again! As the transition period is getting to the end, the allure for power is difficult to let go hence the dissolution of this transition government. Continue! The boys wey go pursue you from office dey for back. |
If only those that started the October 7th attack saw the repercussions of their actions. The unintended consequences has left Gaza in ruins and thousands of innocent children dead all because of the actions of a miniscule few. God save Gaza! |
Nairalander248:It's not your eyes my brother. I think its a typo error. They wanted to type 50% actually. 5% will be the joke of the century whichever definition they use to define unemployment. |
I agree with Dr. Abel Damina's submission in toto. |
Social media will not kill somebody. See the way they distorted fact and made it look like senators were given monies for the project and that hit was what he could parade as his share of the money. Listening to both sides of the story is wisdom. |
I love how this officials handled the situation. No arrests. Just go and sell it back into the system and recoup your money finito! |
Hope this wasn't done to demarket the Dangote brand. However, the regulators should investigate the veracity of the claim to shield the unsuspecting public from falling prey to these substandard cement batch. Dangote should impress on his quality control department to certify every mix before bagging to forestall anything that will tarnish the image of his brand. COREN should get on board quickly to save Nigerians from exploitation |
The hand writing was clearly on the wall. Asiwaju evaded all presidential debates organized by the media and never accorded us the opportunity to interrogate his competences and capacity for office. The only time we had the benefit of hearing from him as an aspirant at Chatham House, he mobilized PROXIES to answer questions posed at him. How ridiculous! He didn't offer us anything, so I'm not surprised by the way everything has nosedived in the last 9 months. You can't give what you don't have. |
Speechless! |
This is skin to the biblical EXODUS only that this time around, there is no leader and you go when you are tired of "PHARAOH" at your own expense. |
I don't get it! This guy has the hubris to tell us to have "faith" in the face of imminent death by starvation of our fellow compatriots? Who are the great hands running this nation that he speaks of? Great hands that have pauperized the masses in just 9 months of their stewardship? His dad thinks Nigerians are amnesic. Was Asiwaju not one of the major protagonists that fought against Nigeria shedding the burden of fuel subsidy years ago ? Seyi should please remain incommunicado and not provoke Nigerians further! |
It will make an interesting read. Want to hear what the learned sage has up his sleeve this time. Might catch one or two phrases for personal usage. |
