The ministry of works will be at the receiving end because all contractors handling federal projects will come back for contract variation due to the rising cost of inputs. Umahi once threatened to import cement if they don't bring down the price of local cement. That was when BUA decided to announce his ex-factory price of 3500 which did not see daylight. With the high costs of running those factories and vehicles, I presume the minister is only putting the chart before the horse except he wants them to fold up like several multinationals who wound up and left due to our harsh operating climate. |
You can now understand what it means to be an entrepreneur in Nigeria. The cost of doing business is so high that unless you have a cost reflective tarrif, you may be out of business soonest. Now, you can empathize with Dangote and Samad on the raging cost of cement. Experience is the best teacher |

MASTERCHIEF0847:I can see you don't follow the news. Stop relying on street gossips and beer palours for your news. I'll post the link as a favour “It was discovered that Chinaza Philip Okoye Michael and his accomplices had earlier been arrested sometime in November 2023 and charged for similar offences, at the High Court, Kwali, Abuja, but went back to committing even worse crimes while on court bail". https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2024/01/21/police-give-more-information-on-notorious-abuja-kidnapper-chinaza-philip/%3Famp%3D1&ved=2ahUKEwjP5eyi-LGEAxURhf0HHT-BBGIQFnoECAsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3AatRyeMX45yiqn2OyL-1n |
MASTERCHIEF0847:I pity you ignorance concerning the Nigeria judicial system. Is "one chance" a bailable offense or not? I cited the case of chinasa who was on bail for kidnapping and you allowed your ignorance and emotion to control your cognition. Stop thinking with with your mid-brain, use you cerebrum when it matters my guy. |
The text is riddled with a litany of grammatical errors and cannot possibly emanate from the handlers of the person it is ascribed to. May most certainly be the handiwork of some social media barbarians to hoodwinke the gullible. |
"These remarks are sharp and harmful, and they have the potential to heighten tensions and spark violence in our dear country," So word can be painful? When Buhari said " Monkeys and Baboons will be soaked in blood " if the election didn't go his way, was that not inflammatory? His principal made several inflammatory statements pre-elections like the famed:" grab it, snatch it and run away with it" Did anything happen? "Courageously" removing fuel subsidy and floating the naira without recourse to the people was not only inflammatory but incendiary to say the least. Only a people-centric policy can pull back the nation from the abyss. |
A GOOD PRODUCT NEEDS NO ADVERTISING. This man has been begging to get this route through out the last administration but was denied the opportunity by Hadi Sirika. Now, common sense has prevailed on the government especially with the recent clearance of FX backlog owed foreign airlines. TIME EXPOSES ALL TRUTH Kudos to air peace for their perseverance. |
HUNGER it seems is finally the panacea to the RESTRUCTURING we have all been clamouring for. God works in mysterious ways you know! |
We have converted everything to business. New currency that should be loaded into ATM machines are now sold for profit. The young banker has now thrown his family into despair due to his "longer throat". |
The amalgam of a quasi Chinese movement to devolve world trade from the dollar may not see the light of the day as the Americans have so many aces up their sleeves to counter such arrangement using their arsenal of soft power. Egypt continues to benefit immensely from US aid annually and withdrawal of this may be ruinous to the el-Sisi mismanaged Egyptian economy. China that is fronting the Belt-and-road initiative has not been finding it's footing economically in recent times. With the china-india border skirmishes around the disputed Pangong Lake in Ladakh and the Tibet Autonomous Region, I don't see India ditching the dollars in the distant future. Russia already has its hand full and only using China to get much needed help to continue in its hopeless war with Ukraine. Do you know that America has destroyed over 50% of Russia's war might [using Ukraine as a proxy] without losing a single American soldier? Food for thought |

Okoroawusa:If you had educate yourself on this matter, you won't be posting this kind of rubbish and be braggadocios about it. The reports have it that he contributed 800 million to his campaign. Surpassing the mere 576M contribution from supporters. You don't have to exhibit your ignorance and daftness on every thread sir. Please do yourself some studying by perusing LPs budget and expenditures below.

So one of the suspects had the phone used in carrying out negotiations and it wasn't tracked until they had to arrest someone who led them to recover the phone? What an analogue police we have. |
Politics will finally wreck trump. I hope he doesn't become the first ex-president to wind up in jail. Hear the judge on Trump's bloated assets declaration: Trump still had a duty to make good faith financial disclosures and adding a disclaimer clause doesn't absolve that responsibility |
The Democrats are hell bent on wrecking this man. By and large, he contributed to his present predicament by his uncouth speeches and actions |
Wow! That is staggering . And the man is still going about doing "give away" like nothing happened? He literally financed his campaign and post elections litigation. [Peruse the table below] I covet his humility I swear.

Thrash! It's the people giving you attention that are making you feel important. But for the Internet, some of these people would have been nonentities . |
The SMART acronym seem to be built into these projects. By 18 months latest, all projects must have been completed and handed over to the various hospitals. Nice move! |
That person could easily be identified from the several phone video recordings and official coverage video for the event. Possession and usage of fake currency notes is a serious crime of its own. |
Hmmm! Don't know why I'm afraid for his father and family members! |
It won't scare away genuine investors but those out to fleece Nigerians by hiking prices of everyday goods despite price tags clearly showing a lesser price. |
It's only with the existence of an original that a fake can be deciphered. Let them report the fake Old Roman catholic church to CAN |
Career that has brought you fame, money and connections is what you are regretting? Anyway, he who wears the shoe know where it pinches. His admiration for footballers is quite understandable but he must realize that it's those at the top clubs and good leagues that make the kind of money that can make you whistle from an opened mouth |
Investment and agriculture |
This is what is called "hitting the ground running" Otti has not left his people in doubt that he's going to out perform all the governors before him if there is no entanglement from his party or house of assembly. Kudos to you sir. |
It's not everything that must come out on social media. Just when you think some people have outgrown this childishness! |
I don't understand the story too well. From the report, the truck was arrested within Nigeria territory and not at the border crossing, right? Why all the fuss about nothing? Has food stuffs suddenly become prohibited items? Export of food from Nigeria has not been officially banned yet. Why is the army running faster than its shadow? Update; I got the story confused with another post I read shortly before on hording of food. My apologies. |
Like I always say: The NDLEA seem to be one of the few government agencies still working. The lust for riches has blinded Nigerians to morality. The end justifying the means seem to be our motto this year hence the upsurge in crimes and criminality even amongst professionals. |
