Banditry is the "cash app" of the dreaded book haram. Can you Imagine the emotional trauma and psychological debasement these young ones would have been subjected to by those devils? "There was a country" |
Giving honor to whom honor is due Education is the best legacy one can bequeath his children. Beauty plus brain

Showing on Nigcomsat. Hopefully, they will come back bigger and better and Zero economical with the truth. To God be the glory.

Letting my charge controller to do the talking. Hot outside but chilly indoors in this era of lock down and staying safe.

drealcivilceno:Here is the circuit diagram for better elucidation. Showing you raw wiring may be confounding. https://forum.solar-electric.com/discussion/19284/best-way-to-wire-4-x-12v-battery-for-24v-help |
flexyrule:I gave out the specifications of my installation. The prices are on public fora across the web. Disregard prices on Konga and jiji, some are way too expensive. Visit the market and do your survey. I am not Lagos based but I procured my panels and charge controller from there at the best price possible. Don't contract out your solar system to a dealer, procure the best quality so you don't join the legion of disgruntled people who say "their solar system packed up after 6 months ". I am in my second year of using solar and I haven't use a generator for my house in all that while....... Since November 21st 2018. |
drealcivilceno:Did my research on Google for over 2 years (during my days of little beginnings). When I had the money, I just bought them off the shelves at the best price possible (no hurry). When done, I invited my electrician to connect them to the house after I had already installed the inverter and batteries using my knowledge of physics. Bringing in a dealer would work you up to a million Naira for those items listed and you can not be guaranteed the best quality. Surf the web and understand the basic concepts of what you are about engaging. |
drealcivilceno:6 pcs 250w solar panels 60A mppt solar charge controller 1.7kva 24v Microtek inverter 4 pcs 200Ah okaya deep cycle batteries connected in series and parallel to get 24v. With this assembly, you will never quarrel with the sun because it will be charging your batteries at home while your refrigerator is chilling your water /drinks. |
Still partnering with the sun

Failure of the authority to properly debrief them I guess. If payment for service rendered is at the point of collecting the PPE, this wouldn't have happened. |
Covid 19 is a ticking time bomb in Nigeria . Without being judgemental, we in the north will suffer the most if it blows up in Nigeria. |
rusher14:Time shall tell. !!!!! |
rusher14:Dangote refinery is a business enterprise out to make profit. I am not sure he's gonna subsidize his refined petroleum products for us if he has not sold cement to us cheaper than is obtainable in other African nations he has set up his cement plants. Un-cushioned downstream deregulation of the petroleum industry may not be palatable in the long run. |
rusher14:People clamouring for a full deregulation of petroleum pricing are living in the present where the slowdown in most major World economies occasioned by covid 19 and the Russia-saudi oil debacle has created an oil gloat. Time always comes when rumours of war in the Middle East sets the price of crude spiraling north and then the very commodity we produce ad libitum shall be out of reach of the common man with its vicious effect on all sectors of human endeavors. |
Gracealone:Exactly my thoughts. Rice that have expired or stored with dangerous pesticides are now being released to the same public they sensitized not to eat foreign rice. Someone has selective amnesia here. |
Measures aimed at transferring the strain on the Naira to the common man. In the event of a recovery in oil pricing, no more cushion to absorb the shock. |
This is despicable and disheartening. What in God's name is the governor doing about this video? This is the 21st century for Christ sake Mehn!!!!!!!! |

Seeing that Covid-19 is hell bent on decimating the population of the aged as they have borne the full wrath of the pandemic the most. Fatality rate is Highest amongst the aged especially those who have other associated debilitating ailments. With Britain contemplating self isolation for people 70 years and above for about 4 months, Italy and Spain on lock down, Canadian PM on self isolation and Spanish PM positive for Covid, my president has suddenly gone into "hermit mode". This pestilence is threatening to fling most economies into recession as most economic activities are at a standstill especially in countries where social distancing is being enforced to delay the spread of the virus. Panic buying has emptied most supermarket shelves and people's houses have now been transformed into "shoprite" all in a bid to avoid the looming apocalypse. It was reported that 50 vessels laden with our oil were roaming the high sea looking for buyers that are not forthcoming. China that hitherto before now guzzled most of the world's oil to run their industries have been preoccupied with fighting for their own survival from what they have accused the American's of releasing in their backyard. With fewer confirmed cases in Africa, the dark continent is now the preferred place to be as we can glean from the refusal of our president to do anymore foreign "waka" I can safely guess that our "Airforce one" has never been grounded for this long. I want to quote some nairalander by saying : Mr PMB, please travel to your usual London, we want to test something.

bkool7:Burning fossil fuels is what is responsible for the unbearable heat you are struggling to mitigate. Just because our country is replete with fake and substandard solar equipments does not negate the fact that renewable energy works. Most times, we engage quacks with little or no knowledge on solar energy to do our installations. Why won't your battery Bank pack up in 6 months? Before you engage any "expert" with your solar job, make sure he or she lives off grid either in his business environment or home. How do you give what you don't have? |
tipzy001:Most technicians are just pedestrian with their advice. A higher powered inverter only implies that a larger load can be drawn from it without necessarily wasting your battery charge. The only downside with a higher KVA inverter is that you may need a larger default battery Bank. It must however be noted that the efficiency of most common inverters are about 80 percent of their rated capacity but this applies to both lower and higher KVA inverters. Disregard that advice Asap. A 3.5kva inverter at 24v default battery Bank would serve you good but for an extended battery time I would suggest you get 4 pieces of battery connected in series and parallel to still get 24v but a larger amperage for extended backup. |
tipzy001:Your 1.5hp inverter AC is approximately 1.1kw of load. Because you would be running other electric gadgets simultaneously, I would suggest a 2.5 KVA inverter which may still utilize 24v batteries I. e. 2 pieces of 200Ah batteries. However, for longer backup, I suggest 4 pieces of the same batteries hooked up in a string of 2 series and then paralleled. The technical aspect of your plan is calculating the number of solar panels to run the AC effortlessly during the day without depleting your battery Bank. |
Eveezy:Bossman, I have always posted her pictures with pride. In case you missed them, here is a throwback picture from last week.

kinglee007:Run the freezer for 18hour nonstop and rest it between 1am and 7am when the frequency of opening and closing reduces. |
veekid:I guess you would have to do some research through google. However, an inverter is a device that draws electricity from the public power to charge battery or batteries connected to it. During power cut, it converts the stored charge in the battery which is a direct current back into alternating current that can be used by the regular home appliances. The solar panels and charge controller may totally or partially replace the public power as the source of battery charging. |
