Relinquishing such lump sum to the States is a battle I see the government at the center fighting up to the highest court of the land. It makes no sense generating a heavy chunk of VAT from one particular area and sharing it with people who are not appreciative of this gesture but instead feel entitled. Let each States control its generated VAT. (Q.E.D) |
Hypnic jerk also called Hypnagogic jerk is a normal sleep occurrence. It's a sign that your sleep is approaching dreamland. No spiritual connotations whatsoever. Enjoy |
With the myriad of heart wrenching news emanating from my motherland, someone will want me to use faith to claim "all is well" ? This is exactly what you get when nepotism strives more than merit. This hurts |

Very Apt. At least, INEC would now have a server. |
MasonKendall:Can you take a 50% pay cut at your present place of work just because they are going insolvent while your services and presence is in hot demand at several rival companies? If your answer is in the affirmative, then it's either you are a part owner of that company or mentally incapacitated. Talking about schooling, let's not go there. Salam |
Plummeting in value like the naira. What happened to the J- league or the gulf clubs? |
Can you imagine going through a police check point with this clear exhibit ? They must be in cahoot with those satanists. For those who abhor jungle justice, experiencing what this sister just survived would surely reset your "cranial white matter" Nigeria has failed most of us including those dreadful kidnappers. |
Accepting a pay cut indicates a diminishing value. Why is he scared of venturing outside his safe- Haven? I come in peace |
Good is a relative term. The 1970's may have been good when viewed through the prism of today's economy but ask your dad if that exchange rate was easy to cough out then considering the minimum wage obtainable in that era. Our children will envy "our today" that we so gleefully despise with ignomy. I come in peace. |
At an average cost of 1.1 billion / km. This naira is truly losing serious value or the tax reprieve for road contract is inflated in his favour. Does anybody have practical knowledge on the longevity of concrete paved roads vis-à-vis heavy duty haulage vehicles? I come in peace. |
This might be misconstrued for Dr. Damina condoning the various acts of sin as we know them but that wasn't his submission. His audience are eaters of the bony parts of the word already and not babes being nurtured on do's and dont's of Christiandom. Most religions abhor sin in its very nature but are still classed "hell bound" by Christians just because they don't accept the lordship of Christ as the only begotten son of God. Only mature Christians would decipher that message. It's very easy to flee from fleshly lust ( as do the scribes and Pharisees), but crucifying Jesus a second time would need serious oversight. He taught good there. |
Without making this post appear like a de-marketing piece or one borne out of "black-belleism", I want to draw the attention of relevant agencies especially the consumer protection council (CPC) and standard organization of Nigeria (SON) that one of the major players in the cement industry is fleecing Nigerians and endangering the lives of its customers by flooding the market with products that no longer behaves " true- to-type". With the mad rush that the cement industry just witnessed , the attendant scarcity of products resulting and the astronomical increase in price of cement, I have noticed that the Dangote brand especially products from its Gboko branch are of poor quality. The 3X cement from this plant is not as rich as it used to making artisans to call it "falcon in 3X bag". Even marketers in the new garage area of Makurdi have created a dichotomy between the cements by factory of manufacture as you hear them ask if you want 3X Gboko or 3X Obajana. Artisans now reduce the sand content of mixtures to get the same consistency they hitherto got with a little more sand some months back. A cursory Physical analysis of this Gboko 3X cement also show its pale appearance compared to the erstwhile dark grey colour associated with this cement grade. Like I highlighted at the start of this post, I am not out to blacklist the cement or company but to appeal to the cement company identified to do due diligence by ramping up its quality control mechanism so that this does not tarnish the reputation it has built and enjoys from Nigerians by way of patronage. Also relevant agencies saddled with the responsibility of standardization should assess the quality of cement being churned out by all the players and ascertain that what is bagged is true of its label. I come in peace |
In today's assemblies, I don't think she can make it pass security unit not to talk of the gate ushers.

Sooooo saddening!!!! |
Self regulation should be the key word here and not governmental barricade. Fire is hazardous as a master but gentle and useful when tamed. Same with the internet. |
Where is the air force and their ISR platforms they loftily glorify ? These awaited tucano aircrafts may end up being as useless as our Russian attack helicopters. It's painful seeing of our MRAPS (APCs) procured with tax payers sweat abandoned for BH to either combust or commandeer for use against the very owner. God save Nigeria |
Sad!! He is in a better place though. However, First or third child ? |
The seduction was so "jezebelic" not to have a deleterious undertone. Some humans are just hell bent on propagating this virus by all means but thank God you resisted her conjugal overtures albeit halfheartedly. |

AfroBeatDiary:Beautiful !! You can see that your battery would require max. 14.4V to charge it properly. However, the catch here is that this only obtains at a battery temperature of 27 degrees centigrade. Most mppt charge controllers have temperature sensors that regulate the cycling voltage to match any rise in temperature as you would expect in our hot environment. Ohm's law: V = IR A battery's internal resistance increases with rise in temperature, so invariably you will require a higher cycling voltage to charge your battery in our clime. Your initial current s 30% of 200A = 60A. So, your charge controller should be able to deliver up to 50A at a conservative 14.8V for your battery to get fully charged daily. I suggest you get a 60A mppt solar charger and another 200W solar panel which you will also connect in parallel to the other 2. 3 solar panels will have a max. Short circuit current of about 32A.(total) The voltage of the 3 panels in parallel connection remains the same ( max. Power voltage of ~30V) So, Power = V x I = 30 x 32 = 960W The beauty of an mppt charger is that it converts all voltages in excess of your 12 V to more current for a faster temperature compensated charging. With this, your battery will always be fully charged even while you use it maximally during the day. You can always upgrade your battery bank on this same charge controller up to150V panel voltage. Hope I have not confused you ![]() |
AfroBeatDiary:So sorry , just seeing your question. Like I explained earlier, take a look at the write up on the body of your battery. Give me the following parameters: Cycle use Stand by use Initial current With these, we can proffer solutions |
That is my 24V (2S2P) set up at 100% fully charged but still cycling because it is always in use 24/7 Notice that, though a 24V setup but the cycling voltage is 28.89V.

AfroBeatDiary:At 13.3V charge voltage, you may never bring up your battery to a full charge. You will be murdering your battery ( Sulphating) in slow motion. Check your battery charging specifics. Most AGM batteries go as high as 60A cycling current and about 14.8 to 15V cycling voltage to get your battery to FLOAT . That is why most batteries die within 6 months of installation ( sulphation from improper charging). I have been off grid since November 2018, and I discovered this is a basic setting most installers fail to achieve for their clients.

The specification of the PWM charge controller for voltage reads 50V maximum. Tying 2 pieces of 200W solar panels in series would give a current that may not exceed 10 Ampere on a good day which is still below the 30A rating of your CC. But because voltage is additive in series connection, you are most likely to going to "cook" any charge controller with input voltage less than or equals 60V, which you have done twice. An average solar panel ( your type) produces approximately 30v on a very sunny day ( connect a voltmeter across the terminals of a single solar panel around 11am to 12 noon on a bright Sunny day to confirm), so connecting 2 of such in series has surpassed your charge controller's max. Voltage input. You would have faired better connecting your panels in parallel to maintain the voltage at max. 30V and increased your peak charge current to near 20A which will charge your battery faster. If you must maintain the series circuit, then just get a 60A mppt charge controller as you can expand on it in future. |
Shabaleen:Oxymoron |
Is this not the same man recently accused of tricking GMB into signing a fraudulent document? |
Its only in this clime that you marvel at our level of security inertia. With all these adjoining security establishments, no kinetic activity was activated against the so called terrorists. I saw video footages on channels TV and I was taken aback when a police landrover vehicle was not smouldered by the attackers "selective" dynamite. Makes me want to suspect that somebody somewhere is trying to give a dog a bad name so that Nigerians in unison can all shout " crucify him/ them" |
