Music/Radio › Re: Mode9 Cries Out On Neglect Of His ‘type Of Rap’ by Maximus85(m): 7:01pm On Aug 18, 2013
Glamourogo: Mode9 Cries Out On Neglect Of His ‘Type Of Rap’. Babatunde Olusegun a.k.a mode 9 went all emotional on hotfm’s breakfast radio show with TuTu Adeoba and Cheezy Charles on his type of non-commercial rap, he re-affirms that he can never change his type of rap to suit an audience and decries neglect on his type of rap’

‘I put out a whole album nobody cared’
‘A whole 20 track album ‘alphabetical order’ nobody gave a f**k’
‘You see how the industry is’ how do you expect me to feel?
‘Nigerians don’t like hip hop they only follow the hype, they don’t even know what it is’
I only cater for my real fans; I don’t really care about the fair weather, band wagon jumpers
‘I cater for my fans and they are feeling it’ i have put up too much effort in promotion of my materials’
‘It’s just some certain people in their minds feeling that am not doing well’

Who then are these few people Mode 9 is referring to?

The truth...they say is bitter. Give me one lesson you or your children can learn from such songs. How would you feel if you little son or daughter start singing "your behind is a killer"?

And who is talking about wealth here? The kinds of music people sing today is Satanic. Senseless lyrics even if the sound is perfect. But what is the use of music...if it won't add a thing to your life? Music is the food to the soul. if Gobe is a food to your own soul....then peace be unto thee.

IDTMO...I don talk my own.

ayobase: Truly typing, I don't know why companies are now making employment via "to whom it may concern" a big deal, instead of the certificate. Some is even statement of result.

Does it mean that "to whom it may concern" and statement of result can't be authenticated?

Then, what will happen to those carrying affidavits?

Just a flimsy excuse of not employing!
I can't understand it myself.

Maybe you should have a dialogue with the management or the body concerned, as regards how it is immensely affecting you.

Your serious attention is needed on this thread: www.nairaland.com/1359493/one-get-job-lagos-pending

Some people don't just beg for jobs...you need to know where they are coming from. When you are fortunate to attend a good school and your certificate is issued as you are dropping your pen. Service is smooth and getting a job will be a matter of selecting.

What of those that went to some terribly managed schools, they spent their sweat, time and money and they were not given the statement of their results not to talk of a certificate and worse off they've been like that for 2,3,4years.
Tell me, are these types of graduate the ones that will be selecting jobs or are they the type that'll be proving worth? When they can't boast of a certificate?

Pls come on this thread and try encourage people in this situation. It is so disheartening. It is bad. Companies are looking for 26-28yrs....these graduates are well above these required ages. How will dey survive?

I'm a victim of pending certificate and I'm sure there are thousands of others.

In my case we were issued a "to whom it may concern" For 2years I've been looking for a job. What is the solution to this problem? I know I'm not the only one in this predicament.

The school is just promising to do something fast and time is going. Age is counting, responsibilities are growing.

If you have an advice or a solution...please tell us. Thanks and God bless you as you've listened/seen and wants to help.

Fashion › The Bible Is Clearly Against Tattoo. by Maximus85(op): 11:49pm On Jun 15, 2013
Hmmm! I see some musicians and so fashion freaks with tattoos yet on Sundays they carry their Bibles and off to church. During the sermon, they may get another picture of the next tattoo and if the tattoo shop is not open on Sunday...first thing on Monday, they get the new tattoo.

I'm not judging anybody. I just think we should all see what the Bible says about tattoo.

Leviticus 19:28

The thing is...we all have a conscience. Whenever we've done or about to do what is bad...WE KNOW it. We know what is bad even without the Bible or Human laws.

How do you explain to your children and grand children? Do you call this abomination fashion to them?

And do you know how you look when you get old? God have mercy.

This world is under the rulership of the wicked one, if not all these abomination will not be happening.

Let's us have a rethink before its too late.
Peace.

Yemotiroro: I marvel at the level of ignorance displayed by a lot of us sometimes. I am sure most of you talking down on Prophet Obadare have no clue who he was or how great his contributions were. If you knew you would think the 30,000USD was not worth anything near what he deserved. Or have we become more righteous than the Lord himself who rebuked Judas for thinking like a lot of you when he (Judas) lamented the 'wastefulness' of the woman who broke the alabaster box of very expensive perfume which she poured on his feet and wiped with her hair? Let's stop this poverty advocacy. Learn what money and value mean.

Christianity Etc › Re: Honour God With Your Substance - Pastor Adeboye by Maximus85(m): 2:00pm On Jun 02, 2013
leffects: Memorise: Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Proverbs 3:9
Read: Proverbs 3:9-11
Key Point: Thank Cod for souls won last year on this Global Evangelism Day. Go and win at least one soul and pray that the Global Evangelism Day programme will record a great success

Bible in one year:
Matthew 5-7
After toiling all night without catching a single fish, Peter had an encounter with Jesus after which He instructed him to make another attempt. Peter gave all the reasons that made it unreasonable to obey that command but he obeyed because the instruction came from Jesus (Luke 5:2-5). This is another indicator of the committed: the committed obeys Jesus unquestionably. The reason many find it difficult to obey the Lord promptly is because they harbour unbelief somewhere in their heart. If you believe in the Lord and you have known Him to a point, you would know that every instruction, suggestion, command, dictate or advice that comes from Him should be treated the same way as a commandment that must be obeyed speedily. It you take pride in asking why you should do whatever He tells you, it is because you lack commitment. Mary the mother of Jesus had learnt this hence she could tell the servants at the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee not to question whatever instructions the Lord gave them (John 2:5). Obeying Jesus without questioning is a height of faith and commitment which is hinged on the truth that the Lord can never lead you astray.
Besides this, you can tell a fellow who is committed by what he or she does with his or her possessions. If you are committed to the Lord, you will know that all you have, including your life now belongs to God. So if the Lord asks for anything that is yours, you will happily release it to Him. The committed believer honours God with everything he or she has (Proverbs 3:9). The committed pays tithe and offering in obedience to Malachi 3:8-12. He brings the tithe and offering joyfully to God, seeing it as a great privilege to do so. If you are still struggling to pay your tithes, it simply shows that your commitment to the Lord is questionable. Having considered so many areas of commitment, can you truly say now that you are committed?
