What's the essence of you've just wrote. Why try to derail the important message there in? Mind you I am no follower of any pastor. Fact is I am a staunch catholic but I hate when we argue over somthing that is not necessary. The post is more about living a holy life than the divinity. If the post is about divinity, I may no join issues with you as I'd see it as the way you undgerstand that
Am I surprised you didn't understand anything about what I wrote? NO! You worship another human like you. A woman for that matter. Or who do you bow to?
Christianity Etc › Re: Grieve Not The Holy Spirit by Maximus85(m): 8:34am On Apr 16, 2017
kpakpandoN:
One of the attributes of the Holy Spirit that confirms to us that He is a person is that He can be grieved. Indeed, the Holy Spirit can be abused to the point of being grieved. At this point, He can decide to show His Almightiness like the other two personalities of the Godhead. This is the reason why Apostle Paul admonished us not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:30).

There are many reasons why it is dangerous to grieve the Holy Spirit. One of such reasons is located in Ephesians 4:30. We are sealed unto the day of redemption by the precious Holy Spirit in our lives. This seal serves as a covering that shields us from the activities of Satan and his cohorts. If you make your Covering annoyed to the extent that He deserts you, in that case you will be left without a shield protecting you against evil spirits. This is very dangerous because we cannot pass through this world of evil as pilgrims without the assistance of the Holy Spirit. Another reason why it is dangerous to grieve the Holy Spirit is that His wrath could be very devastating. The story in Acts 5:1-6 confirms that no man can withstand His wrath. Ananias and Sapphira his wife grieved the Holy Spirit and they were punished by death. What did they do to grieve the Holy Spirit? They lied to Him. Many so-called believers would regard this as a "simple lie", but it was enough to grieve the Holy Spirit, and He struck them dead. Cooperating with a liar can also grieve the Holy Spirit as in the case of Sapphira, Ananias' wife. It is dangerous to keep company with liars because the same punishment meted out to the original liar would be received by the accomplice. In times past, Christians used to be persecuted in various establishments because they would not cooperate with liars who would get to work at 10 a.m. but register 7 a.m. as their resumption time. Today, some Christians are doing worse, even in Church offices.

Rebelling against the Lordship of the Holy Spirit over your life is another way through which He can be grieved. When you get to a point where you refuse to take instructions from the voice of the Holy Spirit within you, then you have rebelled against His Lordship. The Bible in Isaiah 63:10 says,
"But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them."
Beloved, let us heed the admonition of Paul and desist from grieving the Holy Spirit by all means.
Written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye.
Let this be clear. Even if the big men of God dont understand. The Holy Spirit is not a person. Its just a spirit of God which God uses in carrying out his purposes.

God is a spirit, and God is Holy. So the Holy Spirit is part of God, not a separate being. When Jesus Christ was baptized, The Holy Spirit came in the form of a dove, and the spirit dint come on its own, God used it God's voice came along with it. Also in Pentecost 33CE, the Holy Spirit came in the form of Tongues of Fire on 120 people.

Even Jesus Christ has never divided himself in two, not to talk of 120. To show that the holy spirit is just a tool used by God, his Son. God uses the holy spirit to guide and protect us today. He uses it to correct us. So whenever anybody disobeys the holy spirit, the person has disobeyed God and that sin has no forgiveness. That is why the Bible says that there is no forgiveness for sin against the holy spirit. Have you ever heard where the bible say that the holy spirit did something on it own? or that it has a position of its own?

Yes! Jesus said he will send a comforter and what or who is the comforter? The holy spirit. and it will do what Jesus wants it to do. It will assume the the form of the sender, A He and comfort Jesus' followers.

So, the misconception here is that the holy spirit acts on its own. It doesn't. When anyone grieves the holy spirit, that person is grieving God directly because God sends the Holy Spirit.

Christianity Etc › Re: When I See The Blood, I Will Pass Over You - Olamide Obire by Maximus85(m): 7:52am On Apr 16, 2017
jiggaz:
"....when I see the blood I will pass over you;" NOT "when I see your works"

"…And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." Exodus 12:13.

"...when I see the blood..." and not "when I see your law-keeping, fasts, seeds and good works." Wonderful as these things are, they can neither save nor help one escape the judgment that comes with breaking the Law, "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." Romans 3:20.

Those who keep the Law to get right with God have no idea how much God hates sin, so much that if you stumble at just one point of the Law you are guilty of all! James 2:10. Can you imagine someone offering you a glass of clear, cold water with just a tiny amount of his poop in it? Would you drink it? This does not even compare to the abomination that one commits whenever he expects God to help or bless him because he "kept the Law," fasted or sowed a seed. Here, just one speck of sin is what it takes to undo an entire lifetime of keeping the Ten Commandments and be subject to the curse. And all have sinned.

It takes Christ's blood, no more, no less, to escape judgment and be free from bondage. It takes only His blood to be saved. It didn't matter what the Israelites were doing in their houses on that night of the first Passover in Egypt. Look what Joshua told them after they entered the promised land -
Joshua 24:14 “Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord." Some were even serving foreign gods in Egypt! All that mattered was the blood. It is the redeeming power of the blood that makes us turn away from sin and idols, not human effort. Not works of the Law.

The nine plagues only hardened Pharaoh's heart but he could not resist the blood. He sent the Israelites away to serve our God...with goodies! Only by our Saviour's shed blood can we be free indeed to go and serve God and in the way He wants us to.

Whatever it is that holds you captive today - sins and addiction, foreign gods like money (mammon,) lack, sickness, fear, stress, stupid mistakes, even worrying about the content that your kids watch on TV, everything - His shed blood sets free from ALL bondage. He died our death.
Like the nine plagues that hardened Pharaoh's heart, doing works of the Law in order to get right with God only strengthens that which holds us captive, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:56- "...the strength of sin is the Law." Our efforts at keeping the Law, an effort in futility, strengthens the grip of sin over our lives.

Believers, we are not under Law but under Grace where sin shall not have dominion over us. Why give yourself over to another yoke of bondage to fear? Why be cut off from Christ because you are trying to get right with God by keeping the Law? " For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace." Galatians 5:4.
This is the only way to get right with God: "For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous." Romans 5:17.

We are made righteous by His blood, set free from the law of sin and death. With His gift of righteousness comes no condemnation (and thus the Accuser's accusations against us do not prosper.) It is Christ's "Neither do I condemn you"
that makes us "Go and sin no more." YOU WILL NOT CONTINUE IN SIN.

Let Him deal with how "all these things" including the grace to live right "shall be added unto you." JUST ASK, and even this, He gives us grace to do.

Believe Right and you will Live Right.

Wrong wrong wrong.

Wrong understanding but right motive.
The passover is different from the lords evening meal or last supper.

Jesus annulled the passover and inaugurated the last supper in place.

Christianity Etc › Re: Do You Think It's Right Blaming Judas Iscariot For Jesus Death? by Maximus85(m): 10:12pm On Apr 14, 2017
Apple1992:
Its funny when i heard people curse and blame Judas Iscariot, for betraying Jesus christ.

Though am not very good when it comes to scriptural reasoning.

But from what i heard and read from the bible, i believed it was the fulfilment of prophecy.

Remember the bible says, heaven and earth shall pass away , but no iota of my word shall pass way.

So whatever happen i believe, it was designed by God.

So my point now is , i don't think its right blaming Judas, its the fulfilment of prophecy!
Let me see how best I can explain this.

First, Jesus Christ came to die for our sin, And his death cemented the total destruction of Satan.

Hence, Satan never wanted Jesus Christ to die that sacrificial death.

You might say yes, Shebi he wanted to kill Jesus when he was a child. Yes, Satan tried. And had he succeeded in killing Jesus, that death would have been useless because at birth, Jesus was only an extraordinary child but he has not become the messiah or the anointed at that time. Jesus became the Christ when he was baptized and God anointed him when the holy spirit came on him as a dove.

But Satan would have been able to distort God's plan for a while has he succeeded. But we know God narrrr, he's quick to maneuver, quick to become whatever he pleases to make his will come true.

So God protected Jesus till he became the Christ and was eligible to give his life as a ransom for us all.

Now the best thing Satan could do is try to disqualify Jesus as the ransomer. He tried to make Jesus disobey God. We remembered how he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Telling Jesus to jump, bow or do a miracle to selfish gain. Jesus was formidable. He won the devil.

As Satan couldn't succeed using tricks, next he Kuku wan use tipatipa {Force} to make just quit his assignment as the ransomer. He started instigating people against Jesus Christ. He needed to enter Jesus Christ's closest circle and these are his disciples. He was looking for a weak link that he can use to make Jesus Christ ridiculed and to suffer.
Judas is a Thief. He's been taken money from the disciples' purse since he was in charge. Satan observed all the disciples and Judas was vulnerable. He was not named or destined to betray Jesus Christ.

And had he not killed himself, who knows, Jesus might have forgiven him.

So we can blame Judas for everything. He made himself available to be used by Satan.

We can all learn from this. We want our behavior to be honorable. If we do this, we will be useless to the devil. He won't even come close to us at all.

I don't try.

I was just thinking this morning about a business that can fetch high profit every year.

I had a certain Millions of naira in mind and i break it down to 12 hours a day and how much per minute profit.

I need intelligent people who never would agree that nothing is impossible.

I'm looking at a profit of around N72,000/12hrs.

Meaning we are to sell 720 units of that product in 12 hours. 60 units in 1 hours and 1unit in 60seconds.

If you are interested Pls just indicate by replying "YES" and I will look for how to contact you. We wouldn't want to expose our idea, in case we arrived at one.

I will open a Telegram group to this effect.

Note: We need just 5 members. I am one.... 4 more. Please make sure you have an idea before you comment on this.

When a muslim keeps asking, where does Jesus say "I'm God or where does he say I have two natures". This is the answer to them. Not that they will understand this parable (no pun intended) ...MUSLIM CSI: A muslim man (allah worshipper) commits a heinous crime. The detective finds lots of witnesses, fingerprints, DNA on the crime scene linking him to the crime. When this muslim is arrested the murder weapon is found in his possession. The accused (muslim) appears before a judge along with his lawyer (Another muslim). The accused pleads not guilty. After the case is heard the judge gives the muslim 25 years. The lawyer (another muslim) claims his client is innocent. He ( the muslim lawyer) says to the judge, "can you show me in the docket where my client, says "I'm guilty, I committed the murder". Up to this day the lawyer claims that the court can't give him proof where his client said, "I'm guilty, I committed the crime". Moral of the story: Always follow the evidence.

And for a head of a congregation to bow down to a womannnnn? Ouch! Did anyone remember how Jesus referred to his mother? Woman! That was it. This does not mean Jesus disrespected his mother but in the spiritual setting, a woman should never play a head role.

The greatest pastor ever, apostle Paul said, a woman should keep quiet in the church, that if she has any question, she should ask her husband when they get home.
