To know what other things will be added we must first understand what Jesus meant when he said "seek the kingdom first and His righteousness" Matthew 6:33

God's Kingdom is a promised heavenly government that will take away all the troubles facing mankind, as humans we are impatient as most of us wants to enjoy our life which is not bad anyway but as long as Satan, demons and his human agents are around there will always be trouble on this planet! Matthew 6:34

So how can we seek God's Kingdom and his righteousness?

The first thing is to let go of whatever any human government may promise us and focus on how to support God's will (God's arrangement and gradual process of restoring peace on planet earth) this is what Jesus established with the preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom. Note what he told one young Jewish politician who thinks he has been on God's side for keeping the Mosaic laws all his life {Luke 18:18-21} Jesus told him to let go of whatever politics and the world has to offer and become a kingdom publisher preaching and teaching along with Jesus' disciples from house to house. Luke 18:22

Of course that is a very difficult task for any prominent politician or someone who is aspiring to become a prominent politician so the young man walked away with sadness and grief. Luke 18:23

Now let's evaluate what this man will loose as he declined Jesus' offer.
First of all he can't become one of the first disciples of Christ which is an automatic ticket to join Jesus as his coruler in heaven. Secondly if he later tries to embrace Christianity it will be really disastrous as Satan who is giving politicians the world's glory {Luke 4:5-7} will strip him off all the goodies the man got through politics. Thirdly observers will notice his downfall from grace to grass. Luke 14:28-30
Lastly when true Christians are having a global family of peace loving worshipers as fellow believers he will miss out since Christians love a quiet and lowly lifestyle that doesn't call for attention {Matthew 10:16} it will be difficult for any Christian to welcome such a person in times of trouble when his opponents are seeking to kill him due to his political post.

So all the benefits of being a Christian he will miss {Matthew 19:28-29} where humble disciples of Christ like Peter and others could walk into the home of their fellow believers and feel safe he must look for accomodation with heavy security due to his position and possessions {Matthew 6:19:21} where true Christians enjoy the love and peace among fellow believers throughout the earth he must depend on his body guards always told where to go and not to go out of fear.

That is why Jesus said many other things are added to those seeking God's Kingdom first. We have peace of mind as our brothers and sisters are ever ready to welcome us anywhere we go on this planet not as visitors but as their families under the umbrella of Christ Jesus but whoever is seeking the things of the world even among his own people he still remains a stranger and could be armed due to worldly possessions they are all seeking desperately!

God also said He just realized that His friend Abraham can do anything to keep His friendship with God.

Abraham is God's friend yet God said about His friend:

The people who are killed also have the same mindset of killing others for one reason or another so if God should kill a killer for killing someone you will be shocked that the saved victim will turn around to kill others.

After the first (original) sin happiness was taken away from the earth and what remains is a struggle to survive till we expire. That is why many became desperate opportunists doing whatever they can just to find a purpose for their existence leading to oppression, intimidation and persecution of the less privileged.

So despite all these God didn't just give up He kept sending obedient humans as prophets to warn or enlighten confused people in order to make them have a rethink regarding their ways of life.

But many have become vicious even to the point of hurting God's servants that is what scares Isaiah the prophet knowing the stiff-necked people he was sent to deliver God's message to.

That is why God told Isaiah saying:

I form light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, Jehovah, am doing all these things. Isaiah 45:7

What is the import of this verse?

God is telling His loyal servant not to be afraid of either darkness or light because He created both so He can make them work to the advantage of His loyal servants while those planning to hurt them will be frustrated. Think of how God made the sun not to give it's light to Egyptians for three consecutive days yet in other places they are enjoying the day light {Exodus 10:22-23} this same God made the sun to stand still for more than the time it used to be during the days of Gideon.Joshua 10:12-13

What about peace and calamity?

Think of how useful water is to life. Can we survive without water? Well water is the most important asset to life yet it's this same Water God used to destroy evildoers in the days of Noah.
OK what about fire?
Of course that is the most destructive thing we humans could think of in fact scientists said it comprises of different gases but what did this God changed fire to?
Do you remember Shadrach, Meshak and Abednego?
Well this God turned the most heated fire into air-conditioner for His loyal servants while the same fire killed Nebuchadnezzar's strongest men!😟

So when you read God's word please ask for the import of what you are reading otherwise you will misconstrue the message.

I’m genuinely interested in how Christians can read this passage and still claim that their God is a good God. The verse explicitly has God claiming responsibility for not only good but also for evil.

If God created evil, how can he still be called a good God?

Paul talked about two different persons in that verse:

While we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13

Paul has the knowledge of two persons just as Jesus himself said we need to have for our salvation:

"This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ." John 17:3

Jesus expatiate saying his father is the only true God while he is the messenger SENT!🙂
