Literature / Re: Why Do Ladies Like To Read Romance Novels? by maybelle: 9:29pm On Aug 25, 2008
What kind of novel do you expect them to read. We women don't like war, western, action and that sort. You say fantasies in romance are not real. War, western etc, are not real to your environs.
Romance is real.

Nairaland / General / Re: Is Age Same With Maturity? by maybelle: 5:00pm On Jul 02, 2008
I know you will say that the majority goes, that age and maturity are not the same.
Somehow I always believe that age and maturity are the same.
Maturity comes natural with age. It is not earned. If you observe little children and even teens. Are you flabbergasted with their wisdom and firm actions?  How much more would you expect of people who are more advanced with age in numbers.
The main tenet is that they all have their five senses operating and are still able to get around in this world in spite of inhibitions in life.
People who lack at least any of the five senses, are still able to get around in this world, few don't.
The general pattern or norm is that age and maturity are the same, but there are a few exceptions.
When you study law, there are general laws but there are few exceptions.
When you study science, there are theories or general assumptions but there are few exceptions.
If you observe people today, they are working, married, have children, own or rent rooms, have cars whether old or new and the list can go on and on and on. People socialize and have friends. Just very few are not able to do so or have these things. It's even amazing.

Religion / Re: Is It Okay For Christians To Flirt? by maybelle: 8:36pm On May 02, 2008
Give no place to the devil. Flirting, even in itself may not be wrong ,opens the door for sin. We cannot say we are strong, or have good motives. It just gives room for the devil. Once we are in wrong territory, that's it. We lose control.

Also it's after-glow lol or smile (not true)
Romance / Re: What Is Love? by maybelle: 8:28pm On May 02, 2008
Love is an act of the will, not a feeling.
Love is not pain like most people believe.
Love cherishes to the extent that the other party is not hurt, even in rejection. This is where openness, honesty comes in.
Romance / Re: Is It Possible To Love 2 Guys Or Girls At The Same Time ?? by maybelle: 8:06pm On May 02, 2008
I disagree with King Tut
A man cannot love 2 women at the same time. Lust is not love. It's either love or hate. There are no degrees to love.

Religion / Re: Is It Okay For Christians To Flirt? by maybelle: 1:55pm On Apr 21, 2008
No, it is not ok for christians to flirt. Christian couples, if there be, should be involved in the work of the Lord, doing evangelism together with other groups, having fellowship together like reading the scriptures together, praying for the lost and families or whoever, going out there for the lost souls. Really.
Abstain from all appearances of evil and flee youthful lusts the bible says. Check them out. There are more scriptures to support this question.

Family / Re: What Was The Hardest Secret You Ever Kept? by maybelle: 5:23pm On Apr 17, 2008
I've noticed most of the secrets involved man-woman relationships. Just a note here I've learned over the years is Most times or sometimes "Never get involved in couple's lives.". I rather stay away from that and pray if I do really care.

Romance / Re: Will You Attend the Wedding of your Ex-lover Who Dumped You? by maybelle: 5:08pm On Apr 16, 2008
you said he ditched and/or dumped you. No I won't attend if I was in your case. maybe he just wants to show off. It depends on how he ended his relationship with you. If he ended nicely you can attend. If he truly apologises to you how he mistreated you, maybe you can attend. If I was you, in any case I won't waste my time and money and effort to do so. I have better things to do. What can u gain for yourself by attending.
In future will he be able to assist u in any way, business-wise or other.
Romance / Re: How To Break Up Nicely by maybelle: 5:03pm On Apr 16, 2008
@send him a message on the cell phone or tell him you need a break to think.
No this is not nice. If you tell him u need a break to think, give reasons as much as possible and with all the details as possible. He can fully understand this and see his faults and make corrections if possible.
Romance / Re: Is It Possible To Love 2 Guys Or Girls At The Same Time ?? by maybelle: 4:54pm On Apr 16, 2008
No, to me a person can't love 2 girls or guys at the same time. Men especially loves one and lusts the other.
Another thing, check the scriptures about Jacob and Elkanah. In these two instances, there was reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal jealousy and conflict between the two wives. Jacob spelled it out that he loves Rachel and the same goes to Elkanah.
