I have never bothered myself to comment on the supposed gaffes of Tinubu, but today I would.

Even as a young vibrant Governor in Lagos State, Tinubu already had a speech/tongue issue, which has nothing to do with his capacity to be brilliant and efficient at his work.

I believe those who knew him from his university days and early career as a brilliant auditor, would have observed this speech/tongue defect even then.

The point here is that Tinubu's speech issues are as congenital as Peter Obi’s Adaobi voice issues. I do not condemn anyone of the 2 over a matter they have no control over. It has nothing to do with age, as obvious from the videos of his speeches when he was Governor.

I am not supporting him because of his speech, but because of his capacity to grow economy and conceive complex infrastructural development, while creating the necessary framework for governance to interface effectively with followership.

So don't you think it is unwise to elect a man with congenital speech disorders? imagine this man at UN conference where world leaders are sitted spitting jargons and incomprehensible words. Obi's tone of voice is not a defect, please note this.

Tinubu should bow out and rest, Presidency is not a reward system for senile old men.

The reason the South is more developed in all human indices is becuase we priortise western education above religious studies. A learned mind won't give birth to Children and abandone them to the street. A learned mind won't kill others in the name of Allah. A learned mind will resist religious manipulation and brainwashing from evil clerics. The more persons you have educated up north, the Almajiri system dies a natural death. There is nothing cultural about it.

Another thing, he overlooked the BH menace to start building so called almajiri schools, an average northerner considers it a very late intervention and whcih will do little to change what was in ground.

Many people down south don't know the history of Almajirci and how it came to be, how it was abused and what led to those abuses, Gej probably made the same mistake - in a typical Southerner's mind, it's shouldn't be there in first place.

To a northerner, its a system that worked well before certain factors led to its abuse -mostly economic and to some extent cultural, address those factors (esp economic), the people keep getting enlightened and the system would be transformed.

Right now, the Almajirci system is a insult on the north, right management of it would turn it to a spectacular system where people are made.

So, major thing, economic empowerment of the region, education should also be improved (Western and Islamic) over a long time and converting those almajiri schools into boarding schools like incorporating both Western and Islamic education. (Long term).

Immediate measure: clusters of these schools, taking off the kids off the streets and providing them with education, plus economic empowerment of the region and engaging stakeholders (scholars) to enlighten and disseminate information.

Without economic empowerment, most of these things will always come to naught.

Thought Buhari empowered you people for 8 years by placing hausas and fulanis in all juicy positions? what else do you want? GEJ did all you mentioned above but because of hatred, APC dismantled all he put in place.

The Almajiri problem will persist as long as a typical northerner values Islamic education above western education. There is no much difference between an average muslim up north and Boko haram members.

This your statement above isn't correct, a Governor can push for a lesgislations through the state assembly, did OGD send any to his state assembly for 8 years? We don't expect him to make such laws for other states, at least he should show us any sign that he did something towards making the lives of disbled people in Ogun better while he was governor.
