Interesting. I support removal of fuel subsidy but a good government needs to bow to the will of the people and go back to dreawing board to restrategize. It is not a power game. Jonathan is not well read! |
He is prolly tired of governance and the blame game. He is sold his heart to the devil. Let he be ousted if the people want! |
Talking about the devil! You all have said so much of his weakness! He's bound to prove y'all wrong |
@Gbewe You are correct. Gej is facing two enemies now: the bad and the good. The bad elistist for their losses and the good masses for their pains. He has erred on both side. I doubt if he can survive this. This good change of his was not not properly thought out. He understimated Nigerians' masses many of whom do not even understand was the oil subsidy is. |
I watch a house proceeding in dismay where they want their monthly take home jacked to N50MILLION because they said the senate president was taking over N60M. Let there be 3 assembly members and 1 senators from each state. This is what we should all protest against next. This is the only way we can salvage our dear country. |
^^ Commend ke! They are the rea trouble. They overbloated the recurrent expediture going home with more than N40million monthly as personal cost not even mentioning runing cost |
For the sake of Nigeria, impeach Jonathan now! This is not a nice thing to say diluminati. Jonathan is a real hero. A selfless one for that matter. Nigeria will fail if we do not cut down on recurrent expenditure especially from the National Assembly and keep substaining subsidy in the oil sector. The amount actually subsidized is not up to N500BILLION. But more than N500billion are stolen due to false declaration of imported oil with the conniviance of oversea sellers and customs. Remember people like Atiku and Anenih were once customs chiefs. Nothing will stimulate the oil economy without this removal. If it sails through, you'd be surprise at the level of employment oil firms and industries will offer. People will just build private refineries all around. Step removal wont still work for us anyway. My only concern is that Jonathan and state Government should build stable power, good roads and organise mass transit before this declaration. |
Unbelievable! ![]() |
Your pictures are damn scaring! |
@Naijababe Why is ur eyes popping out like that. Ok. I understand. The guy murdered English, the language of the land he claimed to study! |
@studyineu, What you said about the shot boy was very insensitive. Have you heard of extra-judicial killings. It goes with alot of penalty. No one, even the cops, has the right to take life unless the judge pronounced so whether you misbehave or not. The only time you deserve to be shot is when you are aiming to kill another and only gunshot can nip the incident. In such cases, a well trained police would aim at you legs not chest. From the rate you are going, you would one day be lynched for your opinion. Just look at your last statement. When I read your first statement on the dead. I said Fu*k! and now this. You think you can't be shot in your house. The Boko Harem goes to people house and blow then out. Armed robber can kill u in the street or home. All these are fallout of bad government, security, policies and lukewarmness from citizenslike you. If you don't have the heart for protest, respect those risking their lives for it. Nelson Mandella stayed in the prison for 27years to make SA. Fight for your right brother. Die for it! You heart is weak. All humans are equal. We all own Nigeria equally. Leaders are just elected to organised things but they turn out to be tormentors. Dont give up. Omg! Its difficult not to insult you. Just go and sit down in one place joor. |
Holy sh.it! Do anyone has a photo shot of the trigger-happy soldier responsible for this dastard act? Our government would never think of CCTV. |
I can't say I understand how you feel inside. But I do appreciate your openness. A lot of today successful people have dropped out of school. Bill gate and Mark zuckerberg are in close sight! You won't start it and you won't end it. But all these people found a reason to leave. They were making money and wanted to concentrate on their pastime which double as their job. So, is there anything you are falling into should you drop out of school? or there are other area you wanna explore. Let us know about your plan please. In the absence of any, then you are derailing and need to jolt yourself back to reality. Times are even worse economically now. You cannot afford to blow up this wonderful chance. There are a lot of schools. sport schools, fashion school, mechanics school, graphix training school, makeup school etc. It doesnt have to be physics or literature. Find your interest and enjoy yourself with it. When you do find the one you like or what you love to do, let your parents know. Am sure they would understand. |
This is really nice insofar property are not looted or destroyed. We all have a common enemy. Insensitive leaders. The worse being National Assemby Member |
I wish the husband was not trying so hard to please her. The more he does, the more u feel tired of him. Unpredictability substain a relationship. The key problem for her is sex. This is very important for a woman especially when you know there is a better person out there. It seems she is in bondage now. She ate the forbidden fruit! one simple trick: tell your husband not to close his eyes during sex no matter what. Report back to me. |
For once, Am not in the same page with beaf. It not wrong to embark on industrial action for what affects the Nigerian worker. But it is good judgement to respect court order or challenge her decision at higher court. That said, Jonathan didnt earn the people's confidence before withdrawing the subsidy. Jonathan is a very good man in his heart. I doubt if he is a leader anyway. Other people we have had are leaders but bad leaders. We still lack a leader that is good. We need good leader! |
Let's get this clear: Have you been communicating with your mum? Or just heard stories of her sojourn. This is an important start for you in fnding out the truth! Be sure no one is posing to be ur mum in far away israel. This rising menance now is that real parents are even contacting children they gave out for adoption in the western world against agreement and many families are losing their adopted children. This is the extent of the love of a mother. Defiling all odds. |
@mayflowaWhy, Have I lost touch of reality? Not really. Am a lecturer at one of the Federal Universities. Just doing a short programme at Oxford's University now. I will be back by May. Gej mean well but he somehow lacks the power of influence. Now that is what leadership is about. Knowing how to bring an act about. If power and transport system were fixed, this act would have been nothing serious on the people. |
If I was Gej, I would have intervene in building state road even if it is out of his reponsibility. Good state road and let the people know that their Governors should continue from there. Introduce this bus system to be manage by a private firm with the price control of government initially. Cut subsidy by half and push that all political office holder salary should be cut by half. Gather the support of the people for it. This one would be extremely difficult but is possible Tackle power and refinary issues to the last and remove subsidy totally. The money spent on subsidy is a waste anytime, anyday that ought to be used for capital project! |
@ 1025 You are right. Gej needs to be smart enough. Nigeria is a complex society. You don't go about introducing cut throat economic measures as it seems. He ought to have done its assignment of enlightement for at least 6months. Before then, he would have tackle a large scale problem like power ,transport that would earn him the confidence of the people. Right now, everyone seems to be boiling on his ineptitude to Boko Harem and now this |
Now, no one's action can move a country forward, be you God or a president. Isreal was continually facing trouble when they turned to evil. Even if the President is well meaning, there are people who is ever happy to gain at the detriment of others and spoil whatever good that any action should usher in. That is why we are also the government! |
will the buses be operating with Urine or Solar power? who will be responsible for whatever will be generation motion for the bus?will the fleet be free?if no where will be money accrued from these GEJ venture be going to?what will the money accrued from these venture be ploughed into?, Na wa oh"Nigeria Sick president,Fearful people".GoatLUCK Nigeria!!!The buses will use fuel. Because it is a mass transit, It will considerable be cheaper than a taxi. Again, Nigerian are not fair with price increment with the increment on fuel. Too bad, we are harsh to ourselves. I know of a bus driver boasting to make over 200% more profit than before. You see. If it is what it should be, money realised would be use for maintenance, pay staff, buy fuel and plough in to buy other buses. Can you control corruption at that bus management level? |
You all talk like everyone of us will be on the road at same time. 43 buses is a good start point. You want a better Nigeria, in it? Rome wasnt built in a day. Make sure the managment of the bus at state level is efficient. I do not subscribe to the buses been free. They should introduce a card system which you recharge monthly that allow you access to all the buses. Next is road. Most state road is trunk B which is the responsibilty of Governors. Hold governors responsibility and not your president alone! Lets know how government works |
There ought to have been up to 6month enlightement. During which these buses will be provided and power generation increased before shooting this good gun so that it won't kill. Gej is not smart enough! Do you know how million litres of petrol that is paid for by our government and diverted to be sold at N150 |
Guys, Removal of subsidy is not a bad idea less Nigeria will face doomsday. But are our leader sincere? Are you also sincere as a person when in charge. We can continue like this. The number of people consuming fuel is increasingly larger. The Government cannot contine to pay N75 for every litre you buy. |
See the delusion that really irks me. Pray tell if you had a sister who told you that her boyfriendChika, I do not support the OP's partner case at all. He has got issues and would certainly worsen after the marriage. I tell you, nothing can change the sort of people except the holy spirit. I was just thinking aloud as to how many people's cases are decided behind them! and women are prone to giving of more advice bad or good. This case is fair but no doubt some could be unfair. |
The bible says you can abstain from sex with fasting but it has to be in agreement with your spouse. Maybe like CC said he will pretend that it is a kiss and before you know it her legs are in the airYou crack me up! Outstrip! Some of u guys have got personality even online |
Very sorry about it. I dont know if u can get help from this section. There is another section on Nairaland called Travelling. Guys will be most willing to answer your questions there. Why are you collecting so much from your wife? Many of such wives are rare. Please do love her wholeheartedly if you did get to meet her in Uk because I know money is very hard to get here. And don't expect this generosity to continue because you will have to work to contibute to the family pause too otherwise I will have no respect for you. |
SMH. I thought beaf was going to get that appointment. That makes Kolade another multi billionaire in the making.Do Nigerians seem hopeless? Now the fund is not going to lie within the presidency yet people cry foul. This means no matter who control funds in Nigeria, whether youth, women, children, justices or witches and wizard, nothing will change. The No one has moral right to query the system because u don't even trust yourself to deliver. |
