This is one of the reasons i love Nairaland. It's a place where one can share and draw from one's experience. My husband started beating me when i was 5 months pregnant with our first child. I left him thinking he would come and apologise but he didn't. Worse, his mom and dad supported him and at a point my parents started singing along d same tune, all telling me it.s part of marriage and i should learn to forgive. I did just that. The second beating is one that I'll never forget, his hands on my neck strangling d life out of me, the slaps, kicking all wit my kids screaming at him to stop, which he didn't for well over an hour. I was kicked out to sleep by d staircase before phonecalls were made by my dad to forgive yet again presuming it's my fault i led my husband to such level of anger. The next day, i called a lawyer, telling him i wanted to know d law's stand on wife battery. I never got my answer, rather he went on to tell me how Jesus loves me and how i should endure and have patience cos he'll will change. Well, he didn't. I got beat up in the same gruesome pattern wit him taunting me that i can do nothing about it and that if i didn't like it, i can pack my things and leave to my parents' house where i will be forever scorned by my relatives n shamed for having a failed marriage. I called a different lawyer this time, one who didn't know me and was involved in abuse to women. She adviced me that my husband will never stop his abusive behaviour till i do something about it, encouraging me to report it to d police. It was when i was preparing my schedule to do just dt about 3 weeks ago, that my husband in his usual rage was about to hit me but this time, i had locked myself in one of the rooms wit d kids and refused to open d door. He told me that my option was to either open d door or pack my things and get out of his house d next day. I chose d later. It.s been 3 weeks now, i'm in my parents' house. I am in a state of trying to forge a life for myself and my kids. I know d future will be rocky but i'm determined to face it and conquer it for all it.s worth. If there's anything dt gives me any confidence at all, it is that i'm well educated and have a job that gives me about a quarter of a million naira a month which wit the coming years can only get higher. As 4 reconciliation, if it does happen, then there'll be some ground rules but for now, let's face each day at a time.
This was the OP's post in september 2011. As that time, she was away from her matrimonial home. I see! Most women would fall into your shoes. I hope you know that you are no longer having any affection for your husband bust for this stranger that is why you are now able to tolerate your husband's excesses.

Go ahead, divorce your husband before plunging urself into the sh.i.t!

Dont you all forget the OP is sexy, young, and beautiful. She is still in her 20s. That is exactly what that son-of-a-bitch is lusting after. Of course, I know how to make a woman love me. The easiest peopleto get in the world are married women. Most husband really do not have time to listen, pay compliment and other frivolities. Just feel that void and most married women are already dreaming about you.

In one week, if I want to sleep with two married women, I would. I know how not to take advantage because I know it is't fair to their hubby

Difficult to for man and woman to be friend when they are mutually attracted to each other
Family › Re: Married But Fond Of Another Man by Mayflowa(m): 9:24am On Jan 18, 2012
^You intentions are noble but for how long wud it stay that way?
The fondness and closeness is a red flag.Plua we women are overtly emotional beings.

You might not know, cant predict when or how it happened but you'll soon see yourself comparing him to your hubby. You are seeing him now as just another dude but if you don't slam urself back to reality you wud soon be noticing his abs, long legs etal.

Chemistry blossoms to fantasy, the goofy smiles, long talks and standing a little too close might develop to a crush and soon discussing abt the weather and work wud become telling each other everything.and(heavens forbid) any slight misunderstanding popsup btw u and urs,he'll offer u a shoulder to cry on(ofcourse you'd tell him or he'd notice it eitherways) . . .you know what they say about handshakes getting to the elbow?

This relationship has many Cons than Pro(if any) and IMO you wud be better off without it.
Ifyalways! you are just a good woman. Only a mother and God would give the sorta admonition and advice. That man is just taking advantage of her knowing fully where it will end. Bedroom of course! Let him go be the superhero husband and dad! He has taken it too far. He is a subtle seducer but OP will never know
Politics › Re: Senate Bill: Social Security For Unemployed Graduates & The Aged by Mayflowa(m): 6:21pm On Jan 17, 2012
Again, this is by far a worse policy than the fuel subsidy. It will create so much unemployment. Even in the Uk, working people still declare bamkrupcy to benefit from social welfare let alone Nigeria with no records.

These senator will keep putting us in trouble. They really think the country has so much money because they are unreasonably paid.

Alternatively, money spend on corp member which currently stand at N600k/copper should be given to each corp member once after about 1 week intensive business and technical training to create SME.

you are a fat ignoramus.

a woman wantsa man who love her more than she loves him.
if you have not gotten the memo, digest it right now.
I like your choice of word: wants. Not really so in practice. I am not in anyway generalising. Haven't you heard all women, and indeed everyone, abhor abuse, yet many women live under abuse everyday and some even try justifying reasons of being there.

But why is your language so uncouth? Is this really you?
Family › Re: My Marriage Finally Collapses by Mayflowa(m): 3:17am On Jan 17, 2012
it's so myopic to narrow everything down to sex.
that's far too simple and a bit insulting to women if you think sex is what rocks their world. it's far far more advanced than that.
in one fell swoop, the so-called "experience" you think you have with women is poverty-stricken.
you know nada about women.
Hahaha! I see you are trying to get the women anger on me! how smart! You purely quoted me out of context. What happen to the attitude you saw in there? I just gave an important instant with sex. You may not know, intimate incompactibility and unattention, are top reasons why women cheat. This is probably the case with this women because she is frolicking with everyone in town!

I just wanted to decredit your thought on women seeking who love them more to pitch their tent with. This is false! Because, many women can't even bear to date those guys they truely know love them because they feel dont have that connection with the guys(most who are nerdish and sorta boring)
Family › Re: My Marriage Finally Collapses by Mayflowa(m): 10:05pm On Jan 16, 2012
it was just a case of a man loving his woman far too much and getting little or nothing in return because the woman loves someone else.
these things happen.
Coogar, This actually contradicted what you said in page 3. And when I saw the line you towed there, I just assume you are so inexperience with women.

Women seek where they get the vibes and fun, not exactly love like you said on page 3. Women love to love and can love any one be you armedrobber, crazy, womanbeater, douchebag, scum, neanderthal. Once they think you are the one, their mind is clouded with illogic. The woman was certainly bored with the guy and actually prefer the attitude and prolly(am sure) the sexual fun from her ex and others. Surely, she knew this man was in luv with her but that can only nauseate the woman more. Women are so moved by sex! and mistake is 4 love

unwise: for not allowing complete subsidy removal
Politics › Re: Labour Calls Off Strike! by Mayflowa(m): 2:17pm On Jan 16, 2012
I've never supported subsidy. If you're going to remove it, at least ensure that the power sector is alright. I'd say at least 70% of all home and maybe office expenses on fuel is on POWER. Then you still pay outrageous bills to the same government. And why do we, the ordinary electorate have to suffer so much, when the "GOVENMENT" would just put their fuel consumption as part of the budget?  I'd like to expatiate more, but it'll take days
Now I understand your anger. I was angry too that N100B could have been used to buy luxury buses for the whole country before the removal such that you just pay say N1000 to the bank/month and collect bus pass that allow you use any of the buses. That was misfiring on Govt side. Ain't they trying to do that now? Governors will earn more money too. They should do that too

Nigerians are not fair to one another. They all hiked transport as if its transport business is all about fuel. Increasing from N50 to N150-N200. Most lagos buses even use diesel. We should have cumsumer protection group. Agreed there are massive corruption and lapses in Govt but all these is about job and survival. Nigerian wont survive subsidy in 7years. Do you know all subsidy money are borrowed from IMF?

Amen!!
Andrian008, I used to like your analysis. How come you didnt do enough reasearch to know subsidizing consumption is the fastest way to doomdom. That is why pretroleum industries have never created jobs in Nigeria whereas a potential 3millions jobs is being transfer to foreign company we buy fuel from!

NLC was only masses concerned but thay saw the truth. Nigerians refuse to know the truth. Please dont follow the multitude, they are almost ever wrong. That is how they killed Jesus!
Politics › Re: Labour Calls Off Strike! by Mayflowa(m): 1:36pm On Jan 16, 2012
NLC were shown the financial truth and what Nigeria stands  to gain by the trio of Ikonjo, Sanusi and Madueke. They wer just dogmatic, unyielding and recalcitrant because of being slandered as betrayal by the people.

However, partial removal will get us no where in terms of private employment. Just govt savings probably for capital project and fund minimum wage. The gains from the private sectors only come in with complete removal.

I know what you mean, but in all honesty, what difference does it make? I have first hand knowledge how people are chopping under GEJ's government. Those that supported/funded him before his election are all demanding and gaming him one way or the other. I know of one case for sure how someone has chopped under him, as in blatant chopping!
I get your point. Everyone of us is guity of corruption. Like you, I really do not trust the government to deliver on promises. But we are losing job because of subsidy. No shewd businessman can build private refinery in Naija with the current situation because you will certainly run at a loss since the prices of crude, the raw material, flutuate in the market.

It is far more attrative to fold your hands and import finished products while you get paid by the govt instantly coupled with all the sharp practices and the chance to reap from diversion to over 10 neigbours selling for N150. Now, jonathan cant stand on road block. Its you and I that will be bribe or our oga who will replace us instantly if we prove too stubborn.

The more we import, the more will create foreign jobs and lose job locally. This go to stop! And please let those increasinsig their prices be fair. Their should be consumer protection unit. these are wporth fighting for!

EngineeeD, I was really empathizing with your passion for the Nigeria State until you supported that false analysis of naira2011.
If you believed that crap, you'd believe any lies without verification and sound reasoning. Allocation to every state from FG is even published monthly. Please google it.

Total allocation in many state is not even up to N6Billion/month.

Beaf (and supporters),

My prayer for you this morning is that almighty God will do to your life what GEJ is doing to this nation.

just say AMEN.
If you mean regarding the subsiding issues. I say a big Amen. Because God just promoted me!
You want to continuing borrowing year in year out and get ur naira devalued with losses in job. Promoting foreign production while neglecting industrial home growth. This will be achieved only wen subsidy is completely remove. I look forward to that day.
Politics › Re: President Jonathan Approves N97/Litre As The New Pump Price For Petrol by Mayflowa(m): 7:30am On Jan 16, 2012
Don't be funny. Everywhere in the world, govt releases a advance copy of important speeches to the press with an embargo placed on it to ensure that the press do not publish the speech until the president speaks. What saharareporters did was to ignore journalistics priinciples and publish the advance copy. If you look at the published speech on sr, you would also see the words 'embargoed'
Thank you muami. Sahara reporter just committed a serious journalism crime. They ought to be prosecuted for this. You think Tribune, Guardian, Thisday, Vanguard dont have the same speech? Am not even sure Sahara was given official copy. Probably stole from other news publisher. No one does the right thing in Nigeria.
