Na the so called First Class products de drag vacancy with the Third Class products.
First Class graduates should be the ones setting up startups and creating wealth by employing other grades. But in my country it's not like that.
Infact people hustle for better grades these days so that it would be easier to get a job.
We too like job for Nigeria I swear. And shame de catch me for our first class graduates This is so not true. First class are never known to be entrepreneurial anywhere in the world. Many startups guys fall out of university prematurely to start their trade. Venture capital funding should be encouraged to allow Nigerians get access to capital and training to own their business. We have excess money from subsidy yet thegovernment have not created a business funding program. How sad! |

Seriously, what is Tinubu doing outside of Nigeria at this time. Why is he pretending all is well with the government. He needs to sit down in Nigeria and know how much the country has changed since his two-fold pronouncement on Inauguration day and what needs to down in the immediate rather than gallivanting the world. |

I have Igbo friends and Yoruba friends and each can die for one another. I can never pray for coup. I am more passionate about Nigeria than you. I am professor in Nigeria and Oversea. I am saying these action precipitate people to think about coup whether you want to hear it or not. What made Buhari contemplate coup? These are real threats and I fear for my country. JASONjnr: Lol..
When Buhari took over and made life even harder for us from the soft life of PDP that we used to enjoyed. We endured and kept quiet. At some point, we tried to protest and Tinubu used his thighs to make a mess out of the protest. The entire nort8acted like they were enjoying the lifestyle then. After all, their religion forbids them to challenge their leaders.
Today, the North are challenging a president, simple because, he's not a Northerner.
Believe me, whether we will have no food to eat. This country will exist.
IBB came out to say that he's not in support of any plan of military take over. Apparently, the North wants to use military to take back power.
See, the North should allow Tinubu to finish his regime. After all we allowed their incompetent Buhari to finish his regime.
We endured and we kept enduring Buhari and a certain cabal that would use the president signature to sign contracts and other confidential documents, without the olodo knowing. I suspect military takeover is near. And nobody will fight for Tinubu. You cannot suffer people to this level. Withdrew all of the life cushion. Dont float the dollars. We don't have the regulatory ability to do so because of corruption! He said No! Import rice. The people need food. He said No! What is his game plan? People like you will push the country and Tinubu to dooms day |

Fiscus105: In this context, Sanwo Olu meant.... unmilled rice and not goggles' definition you posted. Hahaha. You should import unmilled rice at the dollar rate and the company will add so much price to it that will get it to 80K. Meanwhile finished rice can land here at 30K. Rice price needs to be crashed badly. That will crash every foodstuff in Nigeria |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu To Request FG To Permit Importation Of Rice Paddy For Imota Rice by Mayflowa(m): 7:14am On Feb 24, 2024 |
Kenochi: I said on a similar thread that Nigeria's problem is not Hunger or High Food price,it is our inability to understand that Agriculture(livestock and Aquaculture inclusive) is very very big business This news should be a very big eye opener to all producers of Rice Paddy in Nigeria, and that is the fact that there is a very big market for you in Nigeria The Lagos State Government just informed us that they have the capacity to produce 2 million bags of 50kg Rice in a year, this is enough to make all serious farmers of Rice Paddy form cooperatives,go to the Federal Government and secure funding to grow Rice paddies on a very very large scale because the market and buyer of last resort is available
There is something else that I am really hoping some Aquaculture investors can look at,the price of Imported Frozen food is really getting out of hand.It is an irony of sorts that our locally breed fish such as Catfish, are more cheaper and more nutritious than this frozen nonsense we eat Apart from the smoked catfish,I am really hoping that investors can look at the possibility of processing this fish,is it possible to get the technology to freeze this fish We are a blessed people and Nigerians have no reason to go to bed hungry because all what we need to live well and feed well has been graciously given to us,from the great weather to a fantastic soil we really should be producing enough to eat and export all over Africa Don't just talk. This is an opportunity for you too. Organize the cooperative union. Reach out to them and lead them. Many do not have the education to organize themselves. Then you will know talk is cheap |

That noodle is bought every minute in this country.
Economy of scale.
Am sure it's the greedy shareholders and managers.
The black man is never content with little profit.
Nigerians dont know their rights.
Everyone shud avoid buying it let's seeif the price won't come down.
Nonsense always has a welcome ring.
That's the most bought item in this country in the last 20 years.
Some dumb greedy goat will come and say every business has to make profit. You are right my friend. Organized company like indomie cannot follow price trends like this. They ought to be the cushion for the society at a time like this so that everyone will turn to do. No patriotism, no loyalty, no ethical mindset, no social responsibility to the community that harbour them. What was their salary inclement like? FG needs to summon them and speak sense into them while holding the cane. FG can waive tax for them during this time. Maybe they have not been paying taxes even. If indomie manufacturers fail to control price, then local food sellers will continue to suffocate consumers with neck-breaking price. Government must try to crash the price of one foodstuffs like rice and everything else will crash in prices. It's a domino effects! This is the time government needs to allow importation of rice. Only one food import will not crash the economy. |

PDP chose a man who cannot speak his mother's tongue and needs an interpreter talk to his own people, while LP chose a man who has a Yoruba name and lives in Lagos in contravention to the popular Edo slogan that Edo no be Lagos. Well I am from Edo. Edo doesn't place heavy premium on language competency or names as the three major tribes - Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa. That action singularly finished Nigeria. Ighodaro seems the most competent looking at their CV. I don't know if any Nigerian still have the kind heart to help their people again. If we judge by professional capability and antecedent, Ighodaro is miles ahead of the others. |

santaclaws: Streaming? Well, DSTV doesn't need your internet connection to function and streaming services are majorly for movies and series (unless you want to pay on multiple streaming platforms to watch sports like DAZN), DSTV offers much more than that. There's a wide market for both media services to co-exist, so I wouldn't say that. Netflix cannot show live football matches, so what are you talking about?
Bottom line is that $1.6B is a grossly undervalued sum for Multichoice as an African multinational media company, the largest of its kind. I agree the $1.6B isn't much compare to the reach of DSTV. But the French company even pay 40% more for what DSTV is currently worth. This is DSTV fault not the French company. DSTV may not even have a choice. this company already own a massive 35% of DSTV stocks. Who can challenge such a shareholder? |
