dbranchconsults:Yoruba is not supporting Buhari. Yoruba is fixated on two things. 1. APC promises Federalism and devolution of power back to regions. They did so with their manifesto. 2. In 2023, Power is coming back to West. These two items are achievable on the platform of APC. Buhari just happens to be the arrowhead of the agenda. |
Ohanaeze has mortgaged Igboland to the Jonathan 2015 reelection.....no turning back, no buyer's remorse, no second thoughts, no threats and ultimatums, the window of oppurtunity to negotiate is closed,....this is not 7am, this is 10pm and the T-Time is 12midnight! We have 43days lefts to cast vote. What can Jonathan do for you at this hour?? Nothing! You have bought him and promised on your land to return him to power....why the remorse now? If this is not a scheme to betray what else can it be? In fact, beside Jonathan who else can you support....has Buhari done anything for SE? No!! You have a best bet voting for an APGA presidential candidate if Jona is no longer your son, and Im not even sure APGA has a presidential candidate. If they do he is unknown! Shyyte....its new year and I want to focus on Yoruba regionalism. Dont get me to start talking about Ibo this year. I dont have time for you this year. Bloody cowards!! ![]() |
kenonze:whattt Withdraw my statement? Im surprised the sons and daughters of Biafran Zionist Movement were not signatories to this late awakening. Did the freaks that issued this statement consult with the apex Igbo socio-political organization, Ohaneze, before issuing this second thought on Jonathan? Anuofia trying to censor my speech. Watch yourself!! ![]() |
In the charge, the accused was to have carried out transactions with funds exceeding N500, 000 without going through a financial institution.Contra wetin Isn't that the same provisions violated by the Federal Government handlers who bypassed financial institutions and smuggled millions of cash-for-weapons into South Africa ? ![]() APC, said Buhari will not probe his predecessor. .....I dont believe it! |
After observing a sudden surge in his chatters and attacks I predicted he is using the same tactic employed by Okupe to secure job. FFK knows Jonathan will not win but in the interim he is self serving and preparing a cross-bridge to decamp back to APC. What publicity stunts can FFK pull to displace Buhari's popularity? None! |
Ibos are plotting to betray Jonathan. They are getting ready, like they do every election season, to offer themselves to the highest bidder. bloody pr.ost.titu.tes!! |
Jonathan is accusing North of planting terrorists in MEND to fight the government. If that were possible, how plausible is it then that SS is planting militants in BokoHaram to fight the government? Jona is clueless since 500AD. |
Here is Jonathan's response as he absolved MEND and blamed the bombings on North. http://www.informationng.com/2010/10/bomb-blasts-terrorists-not-mend-responsible-jonathan.html INFORMATION NIGERIA Bomb Blasts – Terrorists, Not MEND, Responsible – Jonathan Oct 3rd, 2010 @ 10:50 pm › Information Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan said yesterday that the government of Nigeria knows the persons who masterminded the bomb blasts that marred Friday’s golden jubilee celebration. He said that it was the handiwork of terrorists and not the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) as was widely speculated. In a swift reaction, however, MEND has again taken responsibility for the deadly bomb blasts which rocked the FCT and claimed 16 lives, saying that the nation’s security forces should be blamed for the avoidable loss of lives. Reacting to President Jonathan’s statement yesterday that the group had no hand in the terrorist act, MEND said that it actually carried out the attacks after it had sent out several warning statements to the security forces several days before the attack. Excerpts of the statement read: “The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) deeply regrets the avoidable loss of lives during our bomb attack in Abuja on Friday, October 1, 2010. Our hearts go to the families of those killed who we know were sympathetic to our cause. “The irresponsible attitude of the government security forces is to blame for the loss of lives. They were given five days prior notice which led to the harassment of Henry Okah on Thursday, September 30, in South Africa. Okah has never been involved in any MEND operations but has always been blamed for every attack, which is strange to us. “The security forces were also warned one full hour to the first bomb blast ahead of the general alert sent to the media and told to steer the public from all parked cars which was not done.” Meanwhile, President Jonathan has promised to overhaul the security services. This is just as the State Security Service (SSS) is beaming its searchlight on some top politicians in the country over their alleged involvement in the bomb blasts that killed no fewer than 16 persons and left scores of others wounded. LEADERSHIP SUNDAY gathered last night that the camps of some presidential aspirants will be invited for interrogation. The president declared yesterday in his address at the colloquim organised by the ECOWAS Parliament: “We know the persons behind the terrorist attacks on the nation. We know they used an organisation that operates in the Niger Delta called MEND as a front, but we are aware that MEND is not a terrorist organisation.” According to a senior security operative, “we are working on so many leads which suggest that the blast was politically motivated to disrupt the peace and worsen the sense of insecurity among Nigerians. “We believe this might be a political action aimed at disrupting the relative peace in the country since the grant of amnesty to ex-militants in the country.” A top aide at the presidency had told LEADERSHIP SUNDAY how some political forces mobilised some terrorists led by Mr. Henry Okah with $100 million to carry out the attacks. But President Jonathan said that the widely publicised information that linked the blast to MEND was diversionary. “What happened yesterday was a terrorist act and MEND was just used as a straw; MEND is not a terrorist group. “The Niger Delta people are aware of the government’s noble efforts to assuage the suffering and deprivation in that region. “I am from the Niger Delta. My father’s house is a few metres from an oil-well, so nobody can claim to be a Niger Delta than myself. “It is erroneous to think that my people who have been agitating for good living will deliberately blow up the opportunity they have now,” Jonathan added. The president stressed that the unfortunate action was carried out by enemies of the state, saying that security operatives had been mobilised to fish out the perpetrators. Jonathan added that the country’s security apparatus would be restructured to become proactive to guarantee the safety of life and property. “I pray for the souls of those who died to attain peace and fervently pray for those who sustained injuries in the blast to be healed,” he said. LEADERSHIP had reported yesterday that no fewer than 16 persons lost their lives at the Eagle Square venue of the bomb blasts. Scores of other Nigerians received various degrees of wound and are recuperating in hospitals within the Federal Capital Territory. On the celebration of the golden jubilee of some African countries, Jonathan said that the ECOWAS Parliament had reminded African leaders to devote some time for sober reflection in the face of the celebration. He said that the leaders must take into account a broad analysis of their performances as custodians of independent nations. “We do not have an option than to uphold the ideals of democracy, rule of law and good governance,” he said. Jonathan added that leaders must ensure that they keep in view the circumstances and wellbeing of the citizens, which were the focus of the various nationalist leaders and the pan-Africanists. “Our today’s reality is that many countries in our continent are plagued by difficult challenges ranging from poverty, poor health care delivery, corruption to insecurity and maladministration. “As a result, the continent is in dire need of solutions to these critical problems; solutions which must be well articulated and fully implemented to uplift the living standard of the populace,” Jonathan stated. |
fnep2smooth:The strongest defense for your dad is a written document absolving him of the murder after it was investigated. The police has no authority to rule on guilt...but giving allowance that Nigerian police does not operate by the books....nevertheless they released your dad from jail and set him free. Is there documentaion of this discharge? |
Here is mine... To join hands and voice in efforts to return the Government of Yorubaldand to a Parliamentary System or Constitutional Monarchy. So help me God! ![]() what is your resolution? |
Happy New and Prosperous Year everyone. ![]() |
Ibos are careful to not expose their true numbers, so they dodge situations where the true count of their population will become public knowledge. This is why they refuse to vote for an Ibo candidate and prefer to hide their headcount behind a popular candidate. We challenge Ibo to use this opportunity to prove its self-claimed population majority and economic majority for the people of Lagos to see. If you are unable to do it this time then you are a minority and claim of your majority in anything is false and rejected, until substantiated by proven records. |
BlackPeni5:you are free to challenge the selection of a candidate. You do so by complakining to INEC. INEC notifies the party....simple!! |
Instead of worrying about why Buhari is not good FaniKayode ought to be in the field promoting his boss and telling us why Jonathan is good for us in SW. |
tochukwuifeduba:There is no indigenious people in Nigeria. When chaos break out in 2015 there will be no self determination march for Nigeria......everyone will be taking their individual nation and moving on out of this crappy amalgamation. |
HappyJoe:Shocked by what resource ![]() A resource that is mortgaged to property tax in Yorubaland. How are you going to win against Yoruba politics when your property is a colateral on our soil? Lol. ![]() |
HappyJoe:you bigot!! I have two things to say to you. 1. If we close Ibo shops in Lagos for 3weeks Ibos in Lagos will suffer, your kins in clans and village will starve. We close just one Ibo market, Ladipo, for five days and your governors and ezes came down begging Yorubaman to show mercy. Imagine if we close all your markets, Ojukwu will resurrect and bring Azikiwe with him to come and plead on ndigbo behalf. 2. Yoruba secured VP position to Buhari and yet we are not 100% behind APC. Ibo is 100% behind Jonathan and you cant even get a VP position. If Yoruba were the one 100% in support of Jonathan, trust me, Sambo will not be the VP. you bloody coward! |
Nna, which one be commercial kidnapping again? Im sure Ibos will know. Can any nwafor tell us what commercial kidnapping is? Entrepreneurs!!! ![]() Enterprise kidnapping.... ![]() |
In 2023, which is only 8yrs from now, a new leadership will be sitting at the helms of affairs in Ohaneze. For most part we in the SW will see to it that those elected to lead Ibo forward are those with vested wealth outside Iboland. We will use their mansion in Lekki and their business in Ladipo to handicap their decision in the interest of Ndigbo. When Uzor Kalu raised his voice in support of Ndigbo and threatened to sue Lagos State on behalf of deportees we retrieved his paperwork and discovered he is a tax dodger....so we acted in the interest of Lagos State. Kalu has not said anymore about a lawsuit. In 2023 Presidency shall return to Yorubaland. Ohaneze must ask all Ibo aspirants to stand down and not contest against Osinbajo. See you then.... |
rocgirl:This is one of the constituency claimed to have over 70% Ibo residents. So why is Okwonkwo not on the list, where is Chidiebere....? This claim about majority Ibo population in Lagos needs a second look. It's a lie!! Until official figures emerge to support it, the claim is not credible and should no longer be accepted. |
There is history dating back centuries, oral and written, fully documenting Lagos, on aspect of its demography, culture, economy and language, as a Yoruba land. When was the history revised to say Lagos belongs to no one? Did Gowon include that in his dumb "no victor no vanquish" declaration? |
Aigbofa:In traditional Yoruba customs the kingmakers select an Oba based on the sociopolitical temperament prevailing. Ive been saying this repeatedly, culturally, Fashola is not a defender of the land. Neither was Oba Oyekan. Igbos migration into Lagos surged during Oyekan's rule. He did to Lagos what his grandfather, Dosumu, did by allowing foreigners to invade his city uncensored. In Hausaland no Iboman lives anywhere in the interior of their walled cities, definitely none has a shop abutting the Emir's palace. Ibos came to Lagos and practically took over Idoluwo and Idumota....some eben have shops across the strert from Oba's palace. I hope and pray next governor will reverse some of Fashola's soft and over zealously liberal policies concerning indigeneship and foreigners. You are right, we need ultra conservatives. No more Ibo in our state cabinets. The ones there need to be replaced with Yorubas when a new cabinet is selected. |
In view of Mr Igbokwe's narrative with substantial itemization of Igbo's spread and commercial ownership in Lagos it is very well in line to agree that Igbos sons and daughters rule the economic mainstream of this Yoruba city. These places he mentioned are the commercial nerve points of Lagos. This is new age colonialism - using economy to dominate and monopolize market. What is Lagos State official records and is Mr Igbokwe's account truthful? The sons and daughters of Yorubaland are greatly concerned and want answers. |
The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised Ndigbo in Lagos to be cautious, tactful and honest in dealing with their host communities anywhere in Nigeria in the interest of peace and harmony. In a statement signed by the Lagos State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, in Nnewi, Anambra State, the party said it is reacting to the claims by Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria led by Chief Udo Udeogaranya that Ndigbo in Lagos are being marginalised in the politics of Lagos State. Igbokwe said contrary to the claims of Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN), Ndigbo are getting their fair share in Lagos State as Igbo can be found everywhere in Lagos. According to Igbokwe, “Ndigbo controls commerce in Lagos from Ladipo market to Tejuosho, from Oshodi to Alaba International, from the Trade Fair Complex to Odunade market, from Idumota to Balogun just to mention a few. “Ndigbo are in real estate, big time, they are in hospitality business, transport and building construction. Ndigbo import more than 60 percent of all goods in Lagos on a conservative estimate. “In politics, Igbos are also being represented at all levels of government from the wards to the local government and at the state level. “Ben Akabueze has been the Commissioner for Budget and Planning for nearly 10 years and the weight of that office is well known to those who should know better. Joe Igbokwe sits as the General Manger LASIMRA, Head UFRU and APC Publicity Secretary Lagos and these are strategic offices and six Igbos are fully employed at LASIMRA. “Justice Sybil Nwaka, an Igbo ,is in the Lagos judiciary, there was the late Mrs. Ngozi Mofuanya, a Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), there are also Igbo lawyers who are thoroughly enjoying themselves in the Ministry of Justice in Lagos. There is also countless number of Ndigbo in top positions in the Lagos State Ministries, especially in the Ministry of Education. Many Igbos are also working in the Local Governments across the metropolis. “Ngozi Nwosu from Imo State got a life line of N6 million for an overseas surgery. Mrs. Mary Igbokwe got N5 million and a flat as compensation for her late husband who died in a scuffle with LASTMA officers in Lagos. Mrs Chima Ubani got cash and a flat at Marwa Garden Lagos when her husband Mr. Chima Ubani died in a motor accident near Abuja. First Consultants Hospital owned by an Igbo got N50 million as compensation for equipment destroyed after fighting Ebola in that hospital and consequently stopped spread of the deadly disease. “Time and space will not permit us to say all we know about Ndigbo in Lagos. Igbos have made great fortunes in Lagos simply because a very conducive atmosphere has been provided for these huge and monumental investments to thrive and we expect Ndigbo to show some understanding.” The Lagos APC therefore appealed to Ndigbo in Lagos to work with their host communities in Lagos for peaceful co-existence and harmonious relationship. According to Igbokwe, “Our property in Lagos were not said to be abandoned after the civil war. They were returned to us by the Yoruba after the war. “Yoruba has been fair to Ndigbo and they need to reciprocate by seeking dialogue anytime there is problem instead of wars on the print and electronic media. “Eighty percent of rich Ndigbo in Nigeria today made their wealth in Lagos. Lagos APC still insists that there are rooms for improvement and we advise Ndigbo to always seek audience with the authorities in their host communities for better understanding and cordial relationship. It is supposed to be a symbiotic relationship.” |
Remarkable:All races of people converge in Kano, why has Kano not been labeled a no man's land, is there something up in Kano that Ibo is afraid of? |
Aigbofa:no doubt! ...but Joe Igbokwe is in Nnewi telling us the extent of Igbo control in Lagos, we need LSG to support or debunk what the man say. We are neglectful and dont challenge when we need to and thats why their lies often become the truth. Everybody hears them...no one hears us, because we do not rebut their lies. We should make enough noise calling LSG to validate Joe Igbokwe's claims with official release of numbers. |
ceo4eva:We are no longer interested in hearsays of what Igbo has in Lagos. We need official publication from Lagos State showing the input and output values of the economy and consumer products by ethnic group. No more hearsay....give us official records or its a lie! |
RayCharles:nwoke, how about Yoruba, wetin we do u nau ![]() |
http://m.thenigerianvoice.com/news/165279/1/dont-abandon-my-husband-patience-jonathan-begs-vot.html Earlier in his remarks, one of the major financiers of the PDP in the state, Chief Arthur Eze, had said Jonathan was God-sent to console Ndigbo after decades of marginalisation and neglect. He urged the people to remain steadfast in their support for him. He said, 'Any Igbo person who abandons Jonathan will not progress.' |
Im an engineer by profession and I will strangle an Ibo if i catch him in the wrong mood. Creepy bantu! Try me!! ![]() |
SirShymex:I agree! The academic degree is somewhat of a hindrance to Yoruba senses. This is where I see Fashola, sorry to say. He, for some reason, believes a SAN that he is forbids him to trade insults or throw jabs or be perceived or spoken of as exhibiting the traits of a tout. Isnt this what our parwnts indoctrinated in us? Soon as you start fighting they tell us we are behaving like someone with no home training or a motorpark tout. And if its a girl they tell her behaving like omo alata. Lol. As if omo alata is some sort of an animal. Same parents that want us to conduct ourselves appropriately and not behave like animals allowed and permitted animals to invade in and live amongst us. Why did they not check and cleanse these animals for upgrade to our level before letting them settle? An engineer can throw blowz, there is nothing wrong with it. A medical doctor can stab, its all within human nature to do so when provoked. An accountant can head butt and a lawyer can wrestle, in Nigeria, its all permitted when you have animal grade race of people cohabiting with you. |
