Politics › Re: Why Did Buhari Arrest Ojukwu? by MayorofLagos(m): 1:53pm On Jan 09, 2015 |
Justcash: I have heard that Buhari arrested Ojukwu after his coup. While the arrest of the prominent politicians in Shagari's regime was understandable, can someone explain why he had to arrest Ojukwu?
Warning: This Topic is for Knowledge Sake. Tribal Attack is Prohibited. Ikemba should answer that. |

Look and compare labour productivity between Buhari regime and others. The principal determinant of that surge in growth rate is War Against Indiscipline.
He stalled the decline in productivity, it improved under his watch but then took a nose dive again after him.

I would like to do a mythbuster on this topic. PDP have no shame!
Labour Organizations and wages are factors that influence employers decisions, particularly in the private sector, and may explain why the public sector had more people on payroll. |

Politics › Certificate Equivalency Test by MayorofLagos(op): 12:55am On Jan 08, 2015 |
We should test if Buhari acquired a level of education equivalent to or higher than a school certificate level.
This test is done by asking University admissiin officers if they believe Buhari is admissible to their college, and if professional competencies earned in the span of his careers were assessed would he have enough credits to get a academic degree?
I guarantee you all Universities will answer in the affirmative. |

Politics › Re: SS Youth Can Shut Down Economy If Jonathan Is Not Re-elected – Jimi Agbaje by MayorofLagos(m): 8:57pm On Jan 07, 2015 |
Furthermore, Mr Agbaje warned that Niger Delta militants could shut the country's economy down if President Goodluck Jonathan was not returned to power next month. In February, Nigerians, pay attention! PDP says militants' demands must be satisfied or they will cripple the nation's economy. Constitution states clearly that it is an act of sabotage to cripple the economy of the country through criminal acts. PDP is clueless on what to do with criminals and wants to pacify them. Say NO to amnesty for criminals! Say NO to PDP!! |

Jokes Etc › Re: Breaking: Obasanjo Defects To Apc by MayorofLagos(m): 12:23pm On Jan 07, 2015 |
This is not just breaking news, it is also breath-taking but it is always our pleasure at FNN to bring you firsthand information so as to keep you abreast of happenings in and out of Nigeria.
Research has it that the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo aka OBJ, has finally defected to the GMB-Driven party – APC.
This is a shocker but speaking with the former President OBJ himself at his farm in Ota , he has given a few reasons why his defecting should not just be accepted by Nigerians but should also be applauded.
Find his statement below:
“I have reason to believe that most or should I say all of you are wondering why I have chosen to defect to the defunct APC and I must say that if I had been told that I would have to switch party some 5 years ago, I myself would have argued it. Contradictions & Flags!! |
Politics › Re: Please, What Can Government Do To Lessen The Cold In Jos And Pankshin by MayorofLagos(m): 12:15pm On Jan 07, 2015 |
victorels: This season or period of the year, people die over night most times frozen by the cold. It get you wondering why some one you played with, who never showed any form of ailment should be reported dead in morning.
It seems like wearing double of anything is not enough to protect any from the mid night and moning cold.
What can the Government do about this situation to avoid peoole being frozen to death in their sleep? What was the temperature? First, in calling for change in government and expecting an outcome that improves our condition and society we the citizens need also to produce an outcome that suggests and demonstrates a true will for change. Government cannot do everything for us, and in fact there are certain areas of our livelihoods that we are better off without government's presence. The will to survive is paramount! Before asking for government assistance what are people doing, individually, to survive the cold, what is the community doing to preserve lives and sustenance in the cold weather? Use community effort to build natural energy shelters. |

kettykin: If igbos don't head these boards then who should head them . We are talking about people who became billionaires with just £20 44 years ago, who pioneered the movie industry, music industry, nollywood movies, African literature, new generation football. Who built banks from scratch, airports from nothing, modern cities from dust and rocks. Refined their fuel built rocket systems, developed underground bunkers, produced cholera vaccines, designed super computers, new generation robots, built world class companies, pioneered luxury bus transportation, home videos etc. God blessed the igbos truly, any body who is jealous of them should hug the nearest transformer.
If you are not happy with the position of igbos in Nigeria then opt out or alllow them opt out You forgot to add....Igbo went to space, Igbo invented smart phone, Igbo own Eko Atlantic. |

Politics › Ohanaeze To Announce The Presidential Candidate They Would Support In 2 Weeks by MayorofLagos(op): 6:42am On Jan 06, 2015 |
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=98987From CHIDI NNADI, Enugu
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, yesterday said it will in the next two weeks disclose the presidential candidate the Igbo will support in the February 14 election.
Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Joe Nworgu, who stated this in a chat with newsmen in Enugu, said the organisation was still consulting on the presidential candidate to support.
He said it was, therefore, erroneous for anybody to say that Igbo leaders rejected Ohanaeze’s move to endorse President Goodluck Jonathan.
“This is a malicious and mischievous reportage of what occurred at the Imeobi. No such event took place because the question of endorsement was not on our table. What we said as the agenda showed was ‘Ndigbo, Otu Olu’ (unity). The drive was for unity so that when we strike out, we strike out with one voice, that was the essence of that meeting. The meeting was not set out to endorse Jonathan,” he said.
On when Ohanaeze would pronounce its preferred presidential candidate, Nworgu said: “We are about concluding with consultations. We will soon meet with the traditional council of Ndieze. When we consult with the traditional council of Ndieze, we will make a statement on behalf of Ndigbo.
“We already know the trend and probably in the next two weeks, Nigerians will know where Ndigbo stand on presidency. They are saying we should not take a stand that Ohanaeze is non-partisan, but I will say that Ohanaeze is non-partisan if the Igbo on their own are involved; once it is within a federation like Nigeria with so many ethnic groups (inter-ethnic), we will then take position on behalf of our people. At state levels, governorship, National Assembly, local governments, we will not support any party, but we will take a stand on the presidency because it affects us.”
He, therefore, said Ohanaeze was surprised and shocked to hear that Igbo leaders rejected its move to endorse Jonathan.
“The report stated that there was a motion moved by Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu during the last Imeobi held at the secretariat onJanuary 3 (Saturday), claiming that Chief Iwuanyanwu moved a motion for the endorsement of Jonathan and it had no seconder. These are people who were not even at the meeting.
“Iwuanyanwu did not move any motion even though he was in the meeting. Iwuanyanwu’s only contribution was that he was part of the four-year tenure movement and that it was effectively amended through the processes established by the current Ohanaeze constitution.
A video clip was shown of the three Imeobi’s and the General Assembly where they effected the change according to Article 29 of the Ohanaeze Constitution,” he said. |
Politics › Re: 2015: Why Ndi Igbo Are Angry With Jonathan – Uko by MayorofLagos(m): 6:03am On Jan 06, 2015 |
gists: It may already be too late for SE. That may be the reason some people would rather sink with GEJ. They'd rather look for any excuse no matter how silly or baseless not to vote GMB. I was told by a very respectable role model of mine that in life, their is no permanent enemy nor permanent friend - only permanent interest. You build bridges to save your interest. For example, the US interest in middle east is Israel. To preserve/secure that interest, the US build bridges and made many arab (SAUDI being the chief) countries her allies. The same US many Nigerians see as a near-perfect country has Saudi (a country many Nigerians see as the home of evil) as her biggest ally in the middle east.
SE has the least number of voters, the least number of states (and by extension the least number of governors), the least number of senators, the least number of local gov. the least number of rep members. Yet not only do they refuses to build bridges to the north and west, they even foolishly create enemies (lagos deportation is a classic example). If there is a debate in senate today about whether igbo has used their presidency turn going by their support for gej, igbo will lose out because they are the least in numbers and made very little allies if any. It will be interesting to see how only SE votes can produce an Igbo presidency. Mayor has endorsed this message! |

chukwudi44: That was exactly what Buhari thought in 2011 when he failed to campaign in the se/ss and see whert that got him. There are actually more igbos outside the se than within the se.That is why when you ignoramuses post figures of voters from each states and gloat over your supposed numerical superiority, I just laugh This is why Igbo is pokitically in disadvantage. The only vote that count as Igbo is that in SE, regardless of party you vote for. Of all the regions you have the least headcount and least registered voters. So where is your advantage....where is your appeal? None! |
Politics › Re: 2015: Why Ndi Igbo Are Angry With Jonathan – Uko by MayorofLagos(m): 5:53am On Jan 06, 2015 |
LRNZH: Ndi Igbo need to spread their bets. Relying on GEJ and PDP alone is hedging their bets on one option alone. If that ship sinks, they go down en masse.
Sticking with GEJ/PDP has killed APGA. They should have joined APC during the coalition and had a say in choosing positions within APC. The worst part is the Igbos are encouraging the tagging of GEJ's presidency as an Igbo one. The implications are profound- no Igbo Presidency again after GEJ until it goes round all other geopolitical zones. This is extremely foolish by all standards.
If GMB wins, which is likely, the Igbos may have politically checkmated themselves by sticking to GEJ/PDP. GMB needs SE votes as much as they need him and APC. I suggest Ohanaeze or APGA gets into some secret understanding with GMB and APC for this elections. Thats a sure banker presidency for GMB with about 45 million SE votes. Thjs way they get something meaningful out of all these.
GMB 2015 On Course. Which official record said Igbo has 45million voters in SE? Lol. Igbos all over the world combined are not up to 45million. Igbo vote in Yorubaland is counted as SW vote, not SE vote. The only time I love Igbo is during election. Regardless of their party affiliatiin their swell give us political advantage and bargaining privilege against SE, SS, NE, NC and NW. |
