Obiagu, i need update on the expiration thingy. |
nku5: Of course you haven't got the substance to substantiate what u first posted and haven't got the character to know u should be ashamed of yourself for typing gibberish to mask your lack of substance mr ffkAll those attributions of mismanagement will be 10times worse and your Kalus, Ubahs and Obis would have gone outside the country so your Nzeogwus could go around again killing Yoruba and Hausa leaders and blaming the problem on non elected Tinubu and Buhari for why the economy is negative and corruption is high. Thank God Yoruba and Hausa were the ones in power. We have ready evidence in GEJ now...sorrounded by corrupted pillars Ngozi, Oduah, Maduekwe, Ihejirika. Who do Ibos blame for corruption and bad government? Tinubu, Buhari, Fashola, Aregbesola, Kwankwaso. I rest my case! |
^^^You're asking how the Nigerian Stock Exchange has performed since the arrival of Oscar Onyema? If you've got damaging stuff on those two individuals as per how they've handled their jobs thus far, then you can post it here!
You claimed they are there on merit. Show us the scorecard that attest to their competencies in the job. |
^^^ASSWIPE! Considering the massive difference in JAMB cut-off marks; the fact Ndigbo shine in gov't, politics, business, music, the arts, literature, sports and academics both at home and abroad; the fact that Ndigbo are amongst the highest in academic achievement in Nigeria.....considering all these facts, then it's safe to say that more often than not an Igbo deserves any appointment given owing to a recognition of their positive work attributes! A good example can be seen with the appointment of the head of the Nigerian Stock exchange, and that of the Sovereign Wealth Fund; both appointments were handled by an international human resources recruitment firm, with the position open to all; you can check who got the job in the end!
..and how has those two institutions performed? Go and ahead and share their scorecard with us. |
Thought all the "abokis" are illiterate/drop out; and can barely read nor write-but prepare minimal jobs such as gateman, cobblers, mai suya, mai shayi and co. Back to ur post- First, jonathan is a christian, david mark;a christian, his second in command also, D.speaker a christian, minister of- petroleum, economy, aviation(all Christians), majority of the security chiefs christian. But yet muslims dnt complain; can't u do the same?
Here is a good depiction of Ibo psyche. He looks himself in mirror and sees king of the nation.
though i hardly respond to national clowns, your post is only good for comic relief, from your moniker 'mayor of Lagos',it shows a man who have a lot of unfulfilled dreams, born out of hallucination, little minds hardly get over their domestic needs,Mr local champion,i didnt know that Demiji Bankole,Bode Gorge,Musiliu Smith,Tafa Balogun,Tinubu,Gbenga Daniel,Vaginia Eteh,OBj,Fani kayode and all their tribal cohorts who ve contributed greatly in freezing this country when they where in positns of authority are all igbos...like Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and some prominent Northerners observed that, yorubas remains the bane of a stable and a effective Nigeria, due to their genetically built cunny and slippery attitude!!!na ur Hausa Fulani slave-masters talk dis one!!!
..and InshAllah and by the sacred authority of Oduduwa, Yoruba shall continue to be your problem, you and your master butchers in the North. The more the two of you look the less you understand. |
emeka94: Nigerians are funny. There is no we Southerners. Southerner is not a culture, it is geographic. We do not seek geographic rights, everybody is chasing cultural rights. Stay and be proud in your cultural identity and stop the mixup. |
Nafeesa AA: The best Mopol bases are MOPOL 19 RIVERS And MOPOL 31 WARRI and both are headed by southerner. No mind Ibo and his loud mouth call for unecessary attention. |
abdulkayus: Na wa oooo, dis issue realy affect both d Yorubas and d Igbos bt instead of comin together and find a solution agaisnt d marginalization, dey are busy fightin each other. No wonder, d northerners will continue to marginalize and marginalize cos dey hav understand that there is no love between d Yorubas and Igbos. We tend to downlook d Hausa man bt dey are more political sophisticated and wiser than every other tribes. Just c hw dey have been able to shut out d northern xtains despite the millions of xtains that are of northerns origin. Dey also use dem too b4, while d northerns xtains will constitute most of d foot soilders, d northerns muslims will be gettin d more senior position.Dont attach! This issue does not affect Yorubas. If it affects Yoruba that we are not in police force it also affectsvus that we are not represented in Gej's admin and we cried out about it. What has his pillars of support done to recognize it as a joint issue and give us support to redress the appointments tilted in their favor? |
nku5: This ffk as old as he is can never talk like a mature man.The problem all non-Ibo Nigerians have with you is your lack of structure and order, and is genetic! You put a Yoruba person in position of authority and you hardly hear noise or controversy as he/she focuses on delivering service. An Ibo person in position of authority wants to be noticed - work is left undone, projects are approached hapharzadly and with no direction, subordinates are soon frustrated, chaos and scandal everywhere. There is nothing in constitution that says we have to tolerate your dysfunctional traits and federal character expects service delivery to Nigerians, not just to Ibos. You continue to cry for positions of authority but you lack executive and administration skills, regardless how well you are academically tutored and trained for it, nature has not predisposed the Ibo to excel in political duties. You have a disadvantage and the rest of Nigeria should not be held back for you to catch up. |
Happy New Year Everyone and Happy 100th year of Amalgamation and Disunity in Nigeria. This year 2014 marks our 100th year as a North/South Amalgamation but 108th that the Amalgamation between Colony of Lagos & Protectorate (West) was merged with Southern Protectorate (East and South). It is expected that a National Dialogue or a Sovereign National Conference will hold this year to decide a new structure along forming a better unity. Going also by recent release from INEC on 2015 elections we have just about a year left to exercise our voting rights for the democratic process. So there are many milestones and markers to live through between today and possibly the next 14 months or so and each and everyone of them touch directly with that beginning back in late 1800s and early 1900s. Without that history our experience today will be totally different. The history of colonial administration in Nigeria talked a lot about the events and the dates but not much is known about the characters, educational background and thought pattern and psychological mindset of the people who put this structure together. It cannot be denied that in a divorced separation, the individual ethnic group or people will do better in a self determining existence than in an amalgamated marriage in which the frustration, mistrust, hatred, suspicion is mutual and highly volatile and caustic. To cut the story short, Im bringing you a book to read and in this book you will find revelations that the officers that amalgamated the different peoples into Nigeria were not at all in concensus and did not fully understand how the system would work or what behaviors to prepare for. In other words, they were not State planners and this amalgamation was a spontaneous experimentation with a life span at worst, a year, and at best, 100yrs; which comes to full term today. Their best forecast has turned to be our worst nightmares. Would you trust the systematic planning of your life to an egomaniac? Read... http://books.google.com/books?id=lDFEOHnOl-0C&pg=PA9&lpg=PA50&ots=L_HqSrc4Pt&focus=viewport&dq=document+on+colonial+nigeria&output=html_textNote** I plan on bringing you guys recommended reads on Nigerian Politics, particularly on colonial records.

dayokanu: OBJ is now a tribalist. The same OBJ who was voted by Ibos, Had his strongest base in Iboland....promoted Ihejirika to GOC |
Ibos are always self centered and edgy about appointments. Jonathan's cabinet is filled with Ibos and they are still unhappy that police force is not filled with Ibos. The police pr and deputy pr in Lagos are Ibo, the commissioner of police in Ogun is Ibo. Since Ibo dont want to have non-Ibos police officers on their land, Yoruba should work on kicking out Ibo police officers all over Yorubaland. In their place we will put Yorubas or other Nigerians of non-Ibo stock. Beside, why is it everytime there is a political decision to make Ibos use education as a yardstick? Remarks like "North is educationally disadvantaged" and "South is educationally superior" is lame. That is a social stigma. If we were to use social stigma Ibos are politically inferior to other groups, perharps we should stop giving or minimize political appointments to Ibo since we know they bring dysfunction into government. We are in Nigeria, everyone has a disadvantage, not everyone is happy with appointments and postings, even the North have things they wish were different and tilted in their favor but this is Nigeria and Ibo will do good by SHUTTING UP and focus more energy on the development of your land and less on introducing chaos into the democratic system. If you are unhappy with this setup you should be more active in social protests, when other ethnic groups are dissatisfied they troop out behind their leaders to protest injustice. Get your leaders to start leading your social grievances, in the East, not in Lagos. This is how you earn respect and recognition. |
Good......can't wait! ![]() If it's within my power to choose who to share a country with, i'd say Ndigbo go it alone......and at the very least, share a confederal arrangement with Efik, Annag and Ibibios! One Nigeria no be by force!
I didnt see Yoruba in your list. You are a racist! |
pokur: I don't do ant-rants.Good night n goodbye from me.Remember, matrilineal waiver goes through only after paternal blood is vetted and confirmed Yoruba, otherwise it doesnt move forward. In Mrs Dike's case we know what the future holds for her sons. End of Story! |
Obiagu1: The simple question is: Is Obaship in Akure hereditary? No, it is not. The town crier goes to the square and rings a bell, then people from Hausa quarters come, Ibo spare parts dealers come, Yorubas come and the palace scribe ask the people to vote and select somebody. Hopefully a spare parts Chukwudi will be selected as next Deji. Oh..i forgot, Obiagu, you should travel immediately to Akure they are ringing the bell next week. I would love to hear you won the vote. |
pokur: By the way, none of u is yet to state the special circumstance or bring proof of any waiver that brought Tejuosho to the throne of Oke-Ona Egba.My friend i already asked you to tell where Tejuosho's father is from. The issue is on succession. By default the crown goes to the patrilineal blood except in waivers and on which occassion the candidate's patrilineal blood must still be vetted. The Oba must do certain things which are sacred and in reverence to Oduduwa. These are rituals that are undertaken in the shrine itself. Why do you think our youths are sacking Obas from their thrones? Because they swore oath to uphold the Oduduwa creed but then afterward want to practice jesus and mohammed creed from the throne. ..not gonna happen! Are the Dike children of Yoruba paternity? That will never be waived. It has never been waived by our fathers or their fathers before them and in Oduduwa's name it shall not be waived in our time or that of children in our future. You can fantasize this waiver thing all you want and wish it was different but thats just the truth. It cannot be amended by constitution either because it is customary. I really dont know why Yoruba princess will mix blood with Ibo. We have mixed blood with Tapa, Bariba, Hausa, Fulani, Edo and never had to come online to explain and straighten things out on issue of covetousnouss. Why cant Ibo be graceful and civilized sometimes? Just pretend sometimes that you are content with yourself and what you have and dont need what belong to others. Please! |
superstar1: I thought they have all finished buying abuja and Lagos with their stupendous wealth.Make una stop harassing my brothers abeg. How would you like it if they write and complain to UN of harassment in Nairaland, ehn? Yoruba pikin lave my people alone o. ![]() |
How else will you Yorubas go to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea without passing through the south Eastern part of Nigeria? You be winch
We dont trespass into anything East of Niger. Come up with another theory. |
cap28: Nigerians will continue to get the leaders they deserve - look at the state of the slums in lagos and this clown is giving out cars to useless parasites as if his father owns a car manufacturing plant. We never had slums in Lagos, it came with Ibos from Eastern parts. Go and get pictures of Lagos pre-Ibo and you will be shocked to what you will see post-Ibo arrival. Your filth ruined the aesthetics and ambience of my dear city. |
The trafficking routesChris, if i were you i will not bother reporting this. Did you read the entire article and understood what they are saying? |
This picture of Jonathan paying homage...was this before or after Jonathan became President? Na wah o! |
The waiver we are talking of in the case of a matrilineal consideration includes that the father be a Yoruba blood. Her sons can be Obi in Onitsha, assuming her husband is from Onitsha royal house but they are never qualified to be Deji of Akure. |
pokur: I get n quite respect ur point,it's the same everywhere even England till they passed a new law of recent giving male n female royals equal status. What really irked me are posters haughtily using the word "never",as if we don't have recent n living examples that clearly refute their claim. You should give us examples in Yorubaland where a prince of non- Yoruba father was coronated as Oba. We are talking of Yorubaland, not Vatican, Brazil, England, China and all these other places. |
As long Nigeria remains together it will never develop. Yoruba must go its separate way from the rest. |
