PoliticsRe: Which Ethnic Group Comes 4th In Nigeria? by MayorofLagos(m): 11:27pm On Jan 04, 2014
SIMPLIFIED: We all know that when Nigeria is mentioned, the three major ethnic group are Hausa,Igbo and Yoruba in no particular order.. Even a primary school child knows this.. But which ethnic group can we rightly classify as 4th after these three?
Dude, there is a superiority order. Yoruba is the paramount owner of this country.
PoliticsRe: Abuja And Lagos: Tale Of Two Cities by MayorofLagos(m): 11:24pm On Jan 04, 2014
Afam4eva: You're right. It's administrative but when you start building the best stadium, moving headquarters of companies, pumping billions on dollars on Abuja then the it being an administrative city holds no water.
No doubt! Those that are reinforcing its commercial status ought to be reprimanded, not Rufai who wanted to leave its administrative status undiluted.
PoliticsRe: Abuja And Lagos: Tale Of Two Cities by MayorofLagos(m): 10:54pm On Jan 04, 2014
Ikengawo, if you dont have meriting topic to write on please dont open just to make noise.

Cities are setup for various reasons. Not all cities are created to serve as commercial point of exchange. There is ground to compare Abuja and Lagos. Abuja is administrative, period!
PoliticsRe: Why We Summoned Gov.rochas Okorocha by MayorofLagos(m): 8:14pm On Jan 04, 2014
Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!! Allahu Akbar!!!

We need allocations in the Imo state budget for Hajj so these converts can perform pilgrimage next year Insha Allah. Provisions should also be made in Ibo customary law to recognize their rights for 4 wives.

I congratulate all my Ibo brothers all over the world for this great news. We look forward to welcoming Biafra into the IOC in not too distant future. grin
PoliticsThe Smartworkers Of Nigeria. by MayorofLagos(op): 2:14pm On Jan 04, 2014
YORUBAs are not hardworking but in all spheres of human endeavor, including those in which physical hardwork is required, one encounters YORUBA using the brain instead of brute. I call this SMARTWORKING.

So who is a smartworker?

Here is what Rashid Ahmad said.

A Hard worker may be the person who is spending long hours at the desk, actually working hard or hardly working? May be without any specific goal and is he/she actually getting more stuff done in those extra hours is also not clear? Or is he/she simply taking longer time to do something, which could be done in a much lesser time means no time limit sets etc.

A Smart worker is a person who works to accomplish SMART Goals-

S- Specific

M- Measurable

A- Attainable

R- Result Oriented

T- Time Bound

A Smart worker knows what to do, how to do, when to do and where to do efforts to accomplish the tasks.
This is backed up at the different points of contact with YORUBA. They have an innate (inborn) response to strategize and derive means from which specific tasks are followed to achieve goals. One sees this in the individual, family, compound, community, local govt, constituency, state and as well their entire region. It is visible in the executive sitting on the chairmanship of a board or the tout at the motor park, one can even see evidence of smartness in the unemployed omo onile who strategically devised a way to live through unregulated taxing system called egunje.

We need the smartness of Yoruba at the National level to move Nigeria forward.

PoliticsRe: Ibadan Kids Spend New Year At The Escalator At Shoprite Ibadan by MayorofLagos(m): 5:48am On Jan 04, 2014
Sloan: The children are in the land of their fathers (Yorubaland) riding the escalators paid for by a company on their fathers land, why are the people who are still marooned at the Enugu jacuzzi crying louder about young children enjoying their fathers property in their own land??
Internally Displaced People are desensitized and detached from anything called fatherland.
PoliticsRe: Ibadan Kids Spend New Year At The Escalator At Shoprite Ibadan by MayorofLagos(m): 5:42am On Jan 04, 2014
Id rather have my child spend two hours riding up and down in fascination of an escalator than out in the bush trapping chimp to cook for village yam festival.

Nairaland GeneralRe: A Huge Crocodile Was Captured In Omole Estate (Lagos) by MayorofLagos(m): 5:31am On Jan 04, 2014
Freewilly: Very sad, why didn't they relocate the poor animal to an animal sanctuary to promote tourism. But those tiger clawed face oily soup eaters killed the poor crocodile to use in their soup.
You talk as if this crocodile was your aunt. If we relocate her to a sanctuary you are going with her. naughty thing.
Nairaland GeneralRe: A Huge Crocodile Was Captured In Omole Estate (Lagos) by MayorofLagos(m): 3:58am On Jan 04, 2014
Why are they shooting the croc? Africans have no respect for animals and environment.
as far as i am concerned, the president is a disappointment, he might be the first president to loose while in power. i will never again vote for unprepared, untested candidate
He was a deputy governor, governor, VP and then President. How many more testing grounds does Jonathan need? Lets put him where he belongs - he is an outlier, he is far below average in area of competency for executive job.

PoliticsRe: CRAMJONES Clarification Of Events So Far by MayorofLagos(m): 7:28am On Jan 03, 2014
Dude, you dont need to explain yourself to these riffraffs. We cleared the air on that point. As a Nigerian, you have the right to express and share thoughts publicly. They are scared in their pants when FFK is mentioned; that name distresses their heart. We shall make FFK Lagos Governor so Ibo can fully understand the meaning of omo onile in tangible ways. We will tax their a**s dry!

Hatred ke? Ibo people hate themselves, nobody hates them. Can we have a discussion without sensitivity and attention?

odua boy: And when did coming tops in jamb registration equate to being the most educated?

Your kinsfolk igbo son claimed that ibos ruled in literature and i busted his buuble with the nobel laurate.. the highest honours given to any academist in his chosen field and sadly no ibo man has ever laid his hands on the price...So spare me those epistorial jargons you typed up there.

And yes yorubas rule the nigerian music industry... tell me one ibo musician making waves at the moment and i would give you ten yorubas. Can you tell me why majority of nigerian artiste(ibos inclusive..except for flavour and psquare.phyno )infuse the yoruba language in their songs if it is ever going to become a hit?...Or why every ibo artiste must come to lagos(Yorubaland) before hitting it big?...

And can you show me any source to back up your spurious claims that ibos have the highest no of middle class earners in the country.

Your people are known to be legendary chest beaters...There is nothing you ibos can do to even ruffle a feather on the IG.. except for your incessant whinning and empty ultimatums
Any Ibo that put a record out and does not sing in Yoruba language is doomed!

To all my Ibo brothers in Lagos, Yoruba is the official language when we go regional. Please start raising your pikin to understand the vowels and let them know it is p and not kp when you say pako. We dont have a c in our alphabets, it is sh, not ch.
PoliticsRe: On The Run From Their Own Land by MayorofLagos(op): 3:52am On Jan 03, 2014
yarodin: LOL, looks like you and your fellow beggars have now turned into IDPs in your own land. Whether una like am or not, call it what ever you want, Igbos are coming per the "one nejiria" your useless father fought for. LOOOOOOOOOOOOL IDP co, IMF ni.
If you go and stand at Sagamu and take toll, between now and end of this month you will count millions of Ibos arriving from East. Going in the other direction you will be lucky to get 5000 Yorubas heading to Iboland.

You go stand in Gboko and count traffic going to Abuja and beyond, you will count millions of Ibos heading into hostile zones and religious hotbeds. If you are not running away from your homeland what is there in hostile territories that is so appealing that you have to find settlement in it?

By international definitions and yardstick you qualify as IDPs.
PoliticsRe: On The Run From Their Own Land by MayorofLagos(op): 3:40am On Jan 03, 2014
Alfa Seltzer: You have to really be very lazy and useless if refugees are buying up your land.
There was a pastor arrested the other day with his six kids and a couple of accomplices, all Ibos. The pastor have a big compound and mansion in Ikorodu. He was arrested for printing fake currencies in millions. This is Federal Crime. In case you dont know, people that print fake currency are technically laundering money and in essence destroying the mainstream economy.

His Yoruba neighbors may not have as big a compound or mansion as this pastor but it creates a social and cultural issue locally. At the root of that is equal opportunity. When the playing field is imabalanced so that criminals are living successfully while honest income earners are struggling, then the cultural values and ethos of the society is constantly tested and strained. It then becomes undesirable and security risk to have criminals outnumber honest and civic minded citizens.

This is partly why I created this thread to have a discussion particularly for my Yoruba brothers but it seems they are unwilling to come forward and share thoughts. An Internally Displaced Person, a criminally minded one at that, should not have the mouth to call civic and responsible people lazy. If he was such a hardworker why would a pastor and six children be running crime? Who is lazy, the pastor and his household who built mansion out of crime or the hardworking neighbour in a modest and content home?
PoliticsRe: On The Run From Their Own Land by MayorofLagos(op): 3:25am On Jan 03, 2014
The OP's definition of internally displaced persons (IDP) is fraudulent and smacks of hateful racism. The correct definition is "Persons who have fled their homes and villages because of persecution, civil strife, food insecurity or other emergency but remain within their country of origin". The keyword here is emergency! The Igbo people who live outside of the SE like their Yoruba counterparts who do not live in the SW, did not move due to any emergency as a matter of course.

The OP reminds me of some people from Osun or Oyo state who claim to be Lagosians and cannot accept the fact that most of Lagos is probably owned by non Lagosians and by primarily Igbos. Lets face facts here.
Definitions:

These are smart and patriotic guys that penned those concerns and Im wondering why, for God sake the governors have been indifferent to their cries..since 2008, we are in 2014. Imagine if they had started something with that call and with the backing they have now from Gej where they would be. They have to show they are doing something before others can join in to push it to completion. It seems they are satisfied being scattered around as displaced persons all over the country and if they had to develop their own land then their displacement will be taken from them as they will be expected to return home; its clear they dont want to return home!
