willibounce: What is my biz with Adaobi? I'm talking about two big thieves in Lagos and some irrelevant kings, ur talking nonsense. Abi dem give u car ni?
The topic is not about thieves. If you want to talk thieves lets talk about adaobi who built mansions and malls in North and West and nothing at home. Lets talk about a governor collecting money from FG and spending it on FG instead of his people. Get your priorities right or shut up.

But why is Lagos road the only one with toll gates and collecting money from motorists in all the pictures?
The question ought to be, why are other states not collecting toll on their trunk roads?

willibounce: Fashole and Tinubu are bloody touts and cra..zy thieves. They are con men who have succeeded in deceiving gullible Lagosians.

Are these not thsme men who wnt to build a phantom megacity? Megacity filled with crazy, lazy and annoying yoruba touts collecting free money from ppl who are working.

Now they are buying cars for redundant kings who do absolutely nothing than breed more touts in d name of omo onile and iya oloja.
Do they mean tht these kings do not already have fleets of cars?

Lagosians should wake up and tackle these con men. They are like d devil. They give you 100naira and take 100thousand naira from u.

May God, Sango, Oya, Ogun, Sopona, Esu, punish all naija politicians one after d other nd their supporters. Awon ole rada rada!
Lagos makes enough income to fund the budget of the entire Eastern states. Unlike Adaobi who cant run village govt without FG, Fashola does not wait around for federation money. Obi gets federal government money and turns around and spend it buying patrol vans for police and building barracks aand roads for army. Fashola is spending his IGR, not federal money, on his people, not on federal agencies. Adaobi got his priorities wrong! If Fashola was your governor none of you will abandon your land. You cant stand your own people you must have a Yoruba man rule over you thats why you troop to West. We shall continue to rule over you and please make sure you pay tax + omo onile money, otherwise there will be plenty misunderstanding.

When we start regional government you must pay tax to individual Yoruba state you are in + regional govt tax + egunje.

Buddah Monk: Unrepentant and ret@ded bigot.
You went to school because your mom use to work as a cleaner and domestic washer to those Igbos.
Swear that your dad didnt work as a gateman and driver to any of those roadside Igbos.
The evil they did to you was by employing your parents so that you will be useful in life, dont hate brother its nobody's fault that the Igbos chose to be traders while your uncles chose to be extortionists via alayes and agberos.
When thier containers land your cousins will become jobbers and offloaders yet they have stayed in the same environment for a very long time and never find it wise to set up a business of similar nature.
Wise up,tell your folks that there is no future in living off Igbo traders peanuts and egunjes.
You people owns the land, why cant it feed you people, strangers, visitors are coming from far and near within few years they are already successful but your folks will chose to man all the entrance and exits of Alaba,Ladipo,Apapa,ASPAMDA,Mandilas,Otigba etc doing what ''extorting N5,N10,N20,N50" from every container that passed through thier ways. They dont even eat the crumbs that fall off the traders table because an importer made N5m and gave you N120 as gatefee, your greeting like you havnt seen money in your life, after 2weeks your still greeting for a token of N120 from someone that made N5m from a single transaction.....my brother Devil is dancing Skelewu with your destiny.
Wake up and smell the coffe, your people are just lazy, gullible and myopic...believe it or dont.
NB;Not an abuse but an advice, complements of the season
Why are you complaining so much, eh? You dont have sea in your land we bring you to Lagos, you have a view of the sea, you ride on metro bus, you see bridges and skyscrapers, very soon you will be riding in metro trains, all things you have no hope of experiencing in village. You send picture back home of Lagos scyscraper in background. Thank omo onile for all that opportunity to shine. Pay omo onile his egunje and shut up.

PoliticsRe: How Politically Relevant Is Gen Obasanjo In Today's Politics by MayorofLagos(m): 6:38pm On Dec 29, 2013
Anyone who has had the kind of political career and influence Obj had will remain politically relevant for the rest of his life. The question we ought to ask is, should Obasanjo continue to be the frontface of Nigerian politics? To that I will answer NO! There are many things Obj can contribute in to improve the social condition of Nigerians, least of which is writing open letters to sitting Presidents.

Naval sadiq: well common sense is not actually common.they were the same once running the banks when it almost collapsed and soludu who happen to be an igbo came and consolidated the whole sector.the only fin a yoruba man knows how to do is to make noise.
Joseph Sanusi is a chartered accountant and career banker. A true technocrat! He joined CBN in 77 and advanced up. Go and read up on his accomplishments in CBN. In a series of CBN governors, Joseph Oladele Sanusi was the only insider who truly had a hands on approach and top to bottom grip on the supervisory duties of his office.

Paul Ogwuma, an Ibo man was the governor before him. Paul is an accountant also and was not an outsider in the financial industry but he lacked the grip and effectivenes with which Joseph commanded the industry using effective regulations and policies.

Soludo is a cerebral. He was an outsider and politically weak. The bankers and financiers took advantage of his weakness and ineffectiveness to dodge regulations and ended up bringing money laundering into the mainstream economy.

Again, we need an Adesina type person for CBN.

shymexx: Sir, I don't think this should be about tribe since it's the apex bank in country - and ethnic interests shouldn't be attached to that. Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England, is not British - he's Canadian. Despite London being the financial capital of the world (yes, ahead of New York). The UK has tons of great economists, however, non can compete with Carney's track-record and how he was able to manage the financial crises of two countries (Canada and Russia). That's what Nigeria also needs to do.

Anyway, SLS has done a good job, though he has his shortcomings, with his loose talks and Northern sentiments. He's definitely one of the most eloquent and articulate Nigerian I've seen in interviews. However, he was able to stabilise the banking system in Nigeria, after the bubble created by his predecessor and the bankster bandits. If not for his timely intervention - the country's banking system would have crashed. However, my only reservation about him is his romance with Christine Lagarde - and probably his never ending trips to London. I still don't know how much of Nigeria's money, both him and Iweala, wasted on those worthless EU bonds - to bail out the EU. I read about it in Financial Times time ago. Also, his cashless policy is like putting the cart before the horse. Nigeria isn't ripe for that yet - everything has to be done in stages.

But the guy on this thread should never be allowed near the Central Bank. Else, he would sell the whole country. grin
I cant understand why you keep bringing this England example. We are not in England.

If you were looking to appoint a minister in England would you use a Nigerian example to emphasize your point? No!

We are in a country that practices ethnic democracy. How many times in the history of Nigeria has an appointment been done on grounds of merit? They do that in England, this is Nigeria. We want a Yoruba person in there. If you are looking for merit you should join the SE nationalists bandwagon.

I preach Yoruba interest for Nigerian statecraft.

Jonathan and Stealer Oduah owe us explanation.

Joseph oladele sanusi - yoruba
Charles Soludo. - Igbo
Sanusi lamido. -hausa

emmyoha87: I pray U don't propel such school of thought în ur Family and people around you(especially the younger one).
If you are not joking, then U my brother are Far From Reality!!!
Do I sound like Im joking? Name a Nigerian tribe better than Yoruba at leading successful corporate and public administrations or running growth strategies and government policies.

Gej's administration is politically delinquent and morally insolvent. Where should he go to turn his scorecard green? He cant go to East, thats all he is sorrounded with now and they helped sank him this deep; they dont have the technocrats and bureacrats needed to get him out. The best brain you have in East is NOI, a Harvard graduate and director of World Bank with zero instinct for running an efficient economy or managing policies. She was sent out of the same occupied position when her incompetencies as a decision maker became obvious to Gej's predecessor.

Who vetted her for a return to the job? Another incompetent bureacrat from East?

It ought to enter Guinness World records as an unsolved human mystery that the pair of a Harvard graduate who also was a World Bank Director and a two times Finance Minister, served in a ruling capacity with a Phd University Professor who had seasoned stints first as a Deputy Governor, then as Governor of a State, upgraded to VP and then a elected President, yet they could not steer the affairs of a Nation half as efficiently and prosperously as was done by a 32yr old Gowon who had no more than a secondary school education and rudimentary military trade schools or another 35yr old Obasanjo with similar education as Gowon but innately savvy in the management and administration of manpower and political states.

Yes, I agree, we need the Best man for the job! Ibos are not known for producing "best man for the job". If they did, with as many Ibos that serve as pillars of his administration, Jonathan should be rocking as the best regime we ever had in this country. In fact, if he was sorrounded by as many Yorubas as he had Ibos, the finance ministry, aviation, education, and so on, should be enjoying similar encomiums as is directed towards his Yoruba Agric Minister, Mr Adesina.

We need an Adesina type for CBN.

PoliticsRe: Tony Elumelu - The Next CBN Governor by MayorofLagos(m): 2:26pm On Dec 28, 2013
PapaBrowne: I think the post of CBN would kind of belittle Elumelu. The guy is poised for much bigger. Boggling him down in regulatory bureaucracy would not cut it for Elumelu. The trending words today in global finance are impact investment, conscious capitalism and social entrepreneurship. Elumelu is at the forefront of these three with his Africapitalism model.

For a regulatory institution like CBN, we need folks who are long on policy framework design and implementation. A Soludo type who can easily create policy and convert it into practicality. Not a lot of people come to mind.
I believe open letters have shocked the president into realities of his administration failures. The letters went beyond our shores and international observers are watching events. He will be doing himself great damage to put a Soludo type in CBN.

President needs an image maker, a redeemer. He will be looking for political credits at home and internationally and a solid technocrat in the like of his Agric Minister, Akinwunmi Adesina, will be the proper fit. Someone that international partners can respect; it will extend respect and redemption to the Preaident.

On their way to Aso Rock, they left their youths in village. The youths knew they were going to kiss and pay homage to Jonathan and get rewardedand so they complained bitterly of being rigged out of the delegation. The elders responded by telling their children to kill them to take their place. Im not making this up, its the truth! cheesy cheesy

So their trip is ended, it fetched them #30M from Gej and #10M from Stealer Oduah. You would think they'd take the money to empower their youths back in village. That's what other people will do, Ibos have no obligation to their youths. Fight has broke out over the money. This money is not even enough to buy snuff for the whole village, Ohaneze has splitted into two factions because of it. Im not kidding, true stuff. grin

I wonder where he got his reasoning about Ghana and Sierra Leone accomodating us.

Is there a planned battle in SW thats expected to push refugees westward into Ghana?

Lol. We should reflect back to Obj's letter and the three incidences of

1. Bayelsa guest house lodging terrorists in Lagos.

2. Ihejirika statement to Lagos press about a method of mass destruction in urban environment, which is to include empty gas tankers loaded with bombs; and which Gej repeated in his response to Obj's letter few days ago.

3. Asari's arrest for gun running across the border in Yoruba backyard.

Why would Ghana be a choice for refugees escaping attack in East or in North? It can only be a choice for those in West, right?

Im glad Obasanjo has eyes out there monitoring these events.
