Politics › Re: Stats. South West Votes Isnt Completely Locked Down For APC. by MayorofLagos(m): 7:15pm On Oct 12, 2018 |
Biafrareform: Those who claimed that South West is locked down for APC have historical memory. The last generally presidential election in 2015 shows that the Votes in South West was shared between APC and PDP despite the high hope for Buhari.
2018 is a different ball game. Buhari so called integrity and corruption fight are all fairytale and the citizens can't wait to vote him out. The last Osun election can attest to that
Choosing the VP from the South East is a brilliant decison cos from the last election it was obvious there was low turn out of voters from the East. A VP slot will definitely encourage them to turn out in large numbers and vote So if SW isnt locked down for APC why is every state in SW under APC? Why has PDP not won just one state? Even in Osun, that you could have had easily, you failed to pull off a negotiation deal. Siddon there dey spin stats while pvc dey on the street dey reward APC. |

It is Afenifere's job, not Tinubu's, to defend Yorubaland against external attacks. Tinubu's job is to put a one party banner uniformly across Yorubaland, and he has done very well without once asking Afenifere for help.
Afenifere need to get their act together and do their job of protecting us and stop looking for Tinubu's assistance. |

RevenGeMission: Many Educated Fulani elites are already in position of power, they are on twitter , IS , Snapchat , but they avoid Nairaland like a Plague , only because of these rodents from the East and their bad mouth
The other less educated or illiterates are hustling all over Nigeria , Hausa, Fulani , hybrid of both , you'll find them digging wells, changing dollars, cutting and resizing woods, hawking mandara or if you go to sabo , you will find them there in their main market hustling , even their herders hustle legit and what do they all have in common ?? Not Iphone, Android , they prefer Tecno or Itel with FM , but most notably , their AM/FM recievers is always by their side, They don't have time to complain and rant like some brainless people do , they listen to news , listen to music and live happily ever after I love this input. Man, God bless you. True statement |

MetaPhysical: The parties zoned their presidential tickets to North, not to Yorubaland. The issue between the candidacy of Buhari and Atiku should be spearheaded by Northerners. We can take side based on our interest in the VP position and its succession but we should not be at the forefront of the debate on who between Buhari and Atiku to rally behind, at least not at this point when we don't even know who Atiku will pick as VP.
Where are the Fulanis in Nairaland, does it matter to them who wins? Of all people that should be worried about the outcome of election Yoruba should not even be in the list. Look at our region, everywhere is APC. Compare with other regions. We have a political heirarchy in place that is more successful than the political success in the center. No one can win Presidency without seeking our favor, therefore we ought to sit back and relax, not agitated and in front of a war. The North and the East should be the ones at each other throat over whether Buhari succeed or Atiku succeed, not Yoruba at all.
Please heed and chill out. Allow Ibo to put anything and everything they want on the internet. If it bothers Fulani they should respond, if not they should allow it. Wetin concern us? Anyone between Buhari and Atiku that is interested in winning must show to us why we should support them. Let's stop behaving like Ibos, they don't have the numbers and therefore must make noise to be noticed. We have the numbers and no need to be noticed with noisemaking. I endorse this message! |

Politics › Re: Alleged Plan By Apc To Replace Vice President Yemi Osinbajo With Someone From Th by MayorofLagos(m): 6:04pm On Oct 11, 2018 |
odogwu9: There are speculations that the All Progressives Congress is planning to pick a running mate from the south-east for President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019 presidential elections. It was reported by The Guardian that the alleged plan of dropping Yemi Osinbajo as Buhari’s running mate in 2019 by the APC is the reason why the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has stalled the declaration of his running mate till date. However, it was gathered that Atiku may be choosing a running mate from the south-east which of course did not go down well with the party members from the southwest. The PDP southwest members had urged their southeast colleagues to concede the slot for vice president to the South west since they could not clinche the position of the party’s national chairman which has already been taken by the southeastern region. Meanwhile, many people have been suggested to Atiku to choose as running mate. People like Mazi Osita Chidoka, former Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and Prof. Barth Nnaji surfaced, ostensibly to push back on the considerations being given to the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi. Finally further reports said the southwest are mounting pressures on Atiku Abubakar to consider the incumbent President of African Development Bank (AfDB) and former Minister of Agriculture, Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina, as a running mate as he is described to be a feasible candidate on the score of Southwest accommodation and buy-in of the international community. ObaIgwe1: Really?
Except being naive has a new meaning from what it used to be.
A zone that has produced a 2 term president and a VP cannot be called naive. A zone that is relevant in the 2 leading political parties is not naive. A zone that didn't make a mistake of giving 70-97% of their votes to one political party is wise, cos they are not putting all their eggs in one basket, making them the beautiful bride, since their votes can easily tilt either way.
I think other zones have 1 or 2 things to learn from Yoruba political acumen.... But then some are too naive, proud or too blind to see the wisdom of Yoruba political sagacity. Asari Dokubo has made this statement to MASSOB and OHANAEZE leaders. Jonathan, last year made this statement to a delegate of SE governors at a summit in Enugu. Buhari has echoed this statement to the entire country. Do you know what yanminri was called during biafran war? A rebel! Go and look that word up and believe it fits these people like uniform on Buratai. |

OsuEbonyi: Tinubu giving all of them headaches. It's not easy to be a leader. BAT has never responded to these babas for once.
2019 is going to be the biggest fight of Bola Tinubu's political career. If he comes top, then he's the undisputed champ. Go BAT.. May the gods of our fathers be with you !!!.
Let's see how Afenifere intends to convince us to drop PMB/PYO for an uncertainty .
The message is simple.. Omo e ni o ni sedi bebere kabo ileke si Idi omo elo miran .. YORUBA RO NU OOO We must continue to honor and respect our elders even as we share our views. We dont say we disagree with Yoruba Elders, we just say we share our views. Tinubu cannot respond to them publicly because he needs them and must maintain the bridge. The views may differ but we are all YORUBA FIRST AND FOREMOST. What i find mind boggling is, if APC is unacceptable to Yorubaland, whybhasnt Afenifere stopped Yoruba states from voting APC? They themselves know that APC is the bestbplatform for Yorubaland. What they detest is Tinubu's input whether on grazingland or on restructuring. You recall they blasted even Osinbajo recently. Those little things are pet peeves that irk them. They should keep focus on Osinbajo 2023 instead of worrying about Buhari 2019. But I see Odumakin's fraternity with Ohanaeze has corrupted him to start viewing fulani from the same angle Ibo view fulani. Ibo believes he cannot get anything unlesss fulani hands it over to him. So he doesnt even bother to compete with fulani. He just waits forbl his turn and that time when fulani can show mercy and allow him to contest. Yoruba on the other end breaks the envelope and tell fulani we dont need them. Thats what Tinubu has readied SW for by APCfying the region. With or without center we go survive and excel. In fact SW is ahead of Nigeria in socio-economic growth, in security, in credit worthiness and in debt management. We have a Development Commission that is self founded and self funded. We did not go to NASS to beg for a development commission. So Pa Adebanjo and Afenifere appreciate Tinubu, they appreciate APC, they do not trust Buhari but they dont hate him either. They sent him messages of well wishes when he was sick and even cautioned Fayose to watch his tongue and layback from attacking the man in his state of weakness. Their problem with Tinubu is his penchant for saying things that make their hearts jump. |
Politics › Re: "You Are Daydreaming " Adebanjo Tells Tinubu by MayorofLagos(m): 2:06am On Oct 11, 2018 |
Pa Adebanjo, nobody is giving anything to anybody. Haba!
Nobody is waiting for North to give anything. What were you looking at as APC won Lagos, won Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun? Where was Afenifere to intervene and stopped APC? The "give us" terminology has no legitimacy in Yorubaland. Thats an "across the river" thing and seems the handshake has affected Afenifere to now start talking of "handover" and "give me". Who gave Ekiti to APC, who gave Lagos to APC....was it Northerner?
Baba ke pe fun wa o! Atoo yin ba o! E ko wa je pe o!
Yoruba does not understand the word "handover to me". We get what is ours, and if we lose first time we try again.
Oodua a gbe wa o! |
