Yorubas are giving jobs on merit in Yoruba states.
If you need job on merit go to Ibo states to work....after all Ibo states are superior in terms of education and wealth to every other part of Nigeria. Right?

So why are you looking for job on merit in Yorubaland and are dissapointed when you dont get it, do you not have a origin?

This Igbo business this and business that is a myth.

Igbos are prominent in the business space in Nigeria because the other ethnic groups allowed them. Allowed them!

Igbos have consolidated businesses using sharp clannish practices which should now be outlawed in every market.
Mayor has stamped this message with his seal of approval!

If Igbos are brought to compete with others at a equal opportunity level they will fail....simply because their business acumen is geared towards short term and quick gains. This is why every Ibo criminal that is caught laments that he was driven inro crime because business was not moving. Interpretation: ive invested for 3months and no gain, i need quick wealth therefore i kidnap or rob or snatch cars.
PoliticsRe: Would You Want The "War Against Indiscipline" (WAI) To Be Re-introduced? by MayorofLagos(m): 11:04pm On Apr 04, 2015
Monogamy:
General Muhammadu Buhari is set to assume the presidential seat on May 29th, 2015. Would you want the "War Against Indiscipline" (WAI) to be re-introduced? What are your reasons?
Ooh YES!!

Reason:
Discipline is synonymous with restraint. The voluntary act of self-censorship against outward actions and deeds that cause disorder and stagnate interaction with others, the society or the environnent.

Discipline is groomed into a person in the stages of their upbringing and become the rituals and regimen of their conduct and outward behavior in society.

There are controls by which a society enforces discipline but when the controls break down then individuals feel at liberty to express and act in ways which in ordinary circumstance should be restrained.

Everybody acting at liberty with their urges break down and damage need for healthy and wholesome exchange of ideal and respect and when its pervasive then there is a break down of order, giving rise to chaos, stagnation, regression, ugliness and so on.

To regain order and recover the moral sanity and sense of idealism in society.....a means must be introduced bywhich ignoble acts must be censored.

We are in a position to rid our societies of the ignoble acts of criminals living amongst us and destroying our societies. Bring on WAI!

Let me take you back to APC Presidential primaries in Lagos last December.

Do you know why Buhari won the nomination and VP was zoned to the SW?

If the Presidency must rotate to North, there were three Northerners in the primary, why Buhari, and not Atiku or Kwankwaso?

I bet you don't know.

Let me ask you another question.
In the just concluded election, how much electoral votes in SS did Amaechi deliver to the APC coffer....in other words, how influentially powerful is he in his region?

In party politics, every calculation is about electorate and constituencies and if you don't deliver you don't eat!

PoliticsRe: Which Competent Ministers Should Buhari Retain? by MayorofLagos(op): 9:54pm On Apr 04, 2015
I reviewed all responses and made observation that some are in support of select retention and others are in support of a wholesale replacement.

I don't have the time to reply in detail but I do believe that select retention is necessary in principle, not as a policy.

No doubt, APC overflows with technocrats and super achievers and if we are impressed with outlook, Lai Mohammed is one heck of a dapper, whether in traditional Agbada or English suit with matching bow tie.

As a matter of policy APC owes no obligation to inherit any member of the party or administration it is succeeding, there is no bleeding from shortage of savvy administrators. However, retaining one or two administrators from its predecessor imbibes a principle of recognition and reward for the individual's exemplary service and achievements. Those who model good service and have record of productive progress to society should be rewarded this way as an incentive to influence ambition and vision in public service.

We should aim to have cabinet administrators who strive and work selflessly to survive their Executive President in a spirit of passing the torch!!

Anyway, I have two administrators I would love to nominate but Chinyere is sitting beside and says that's cheating....I can only cast one vote!

Here he is....

PoliticsRe: CIA Predicted Nigeria Will Break Up After 2015 Elections, It Took GEJ To Stop It by MayorofLagos(m): 7:22pm On Apr 04, 2015
It was actually Buhari and APC that kept Nigeria from war path.

Buhari and APC could have unleashed disorder and riots when the election of 14th was postponed. GEJ claimed no one consulted him and it was not his decision to postpone the electiin. Buhari and APC kept reminding their supporters to respect the Abuja accord, which hadd been in place weeks before the GEJ sabotage of 14th.

Also, APC and Buhari kept rwminding supporters not to react to the provocation coming from Gej's campaign team, including the first lady throwing insults on the Northern ethnic group.

When OPC took weapons to the streets to support GEJ and condemn Buhari and APC, ....again, Buhari and his party refrained from responding in kind.

Buhari handled the election and campaign with superior intelligence and maturity than the crude and thuggish manner adopted by GEJ.

The telephone call was a surrender by GEJ after coming in full glare of the reality knowing he and his wife are on their own and would need some refuge under the incoming Buhari.

So you all need to quit according heroism to an act of fear and surrender.

Let me start of by saying I sympathize with the Niger Deltans, for too long they have been cheated of their birthright and by all that is good and fair they should be the first beneficiaries of the OIL extracted from their land. And being from a minority tribe myself I empathize with their sense of despondency at the unfair advantage of what I dub the Three Headed Monster Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo.

Having said that I am sick onto death of the hypocrisy perpetuated by the NG and the igbos especially in calling the Yoruba tribalistic and saying every zone ganged up against GEJ. GEJ wasn't kicked out because of tribal sentiment, was it not Yoruba and middle Beltan votes that brought him to power in the first place. He was voted out because Nigerians were sick and tired of the status quo. The just concluded election was a referendum against impunity, corruption, dysfunctionality and insecurity. If people can take off their ethno-tinted glasses and search their hearts sincerely they will come to the realization that the Jonathan administration was a cancer to the nation.

I am amongst the countless millions of Christians that had no tribal affliction to either Buhari or Osinbajo that voted for them or would have if I wasn't living abroad. In four years if they prove to be as hopeless as Gej we will vote them out for a more likely candidate, perhaps he or she might be igbo!
My guy,

Ibos are bitter because when Jonathan lost the election Ibos future became desolate.

The Ijaws are stewpid for entrusting their first presidency and power to the care and custody of Ibos. Jonathan was a treasure....he was a deputy governor, governor, vice president and then president....thats a fvkng FIRST and top rate record in political ascendancy anywhere in Africa.

Equally, he was naive and untested in national politics and power and so someone so vulnerable and yet impressionable must be entrusted in the hands of savvy politicians with all-round know how. The Ibos do not fit that profile. So how did he end up in their hands?

An academic study is needed on this amazing wonder.

Ibos ruined Jonathan and his administration.

Jonathan on his own was not fully matured to lead.....he was a meek natured person. Ibos took advantage of that to Nigeria upside down.

They gave themselves rosy appointments in prime cabinet offices in the name of Jonathan.

They appointed their fellow Ibos to DG positions in crucial parastatals like financial, economic, ports authority, aviation and immigration positions to provide cover for their shady import deals and smuggles through the ports and borders, all in the name of Jonathan to boost trade for their fellows in the trade business.

They weakened law and enforcement and the judicial system, removing non-Ibos they suspected will prosecute their criminality and put in their place enablers who chop money and watched as Ibos terrorized everywhere with kidnapping and armed robbery domestically and internationally dragged the Nigerian image in mud from Ghana to Kenya to South Africa, Malaysia, Dubai, Pakistan, India, China....carrying drugs and becoming a nuisance and embarassment, all in the name of Jonathan.

Their largese is ended.....Jonathan is out, crime will be prosecuted, immorality, at home and abroad will be prosecuted, Ibos control of the ports, immigration, finance, imports is all coming to an end.....and these mofos are very bitter.

They kept Jonathan drunk and misinformed. After they pointed to him Yorubas were his enemies and Ibos were the pillars of his administration, Jonathan went to Yorubaland and called our leaders rascals....and then few weeks later went on national tv and declared Ibos were the pillars of his administration.

Well.....at quarter to go, Jonathan suddenly saw the light! But too late.... All his eight visits in one month to Yorubaland were too late and too little to save him.

Ijaws should take a toll of Jonathan's administration and learn their lesson and correct going forward. When you have a son or daughter in an executive position, be sure to keep Ibo at a safe distance or you risk getting infected with their "cluelessness".

....das all! cool

I don't like commenting on any thread that revolves round igbo people because if you tell them the truth, they will insult you., call you Aboki or ofe mmanu or whatever because your opinion doesn't align with theirs, these people see the Hausas and the yorubas as their greatest enemy but they can't do without them and we (hausas & yorubas) can't do without them. I am a member of ''GOODLUCK ONLINE GROUP'' which is dominated by Igbo people on facebook maybe I am the only yoruba there, you need to see what my igbo brothers are commenting after the Buhari was declared the winner, they were saying we form alliance with Hausas/Yorubas to Vote Jonathan out, some were calling for separation from Nigeria. They have forgetten that the same yoruba race rejected Buhari and Pastor Tunde Bakare in 2011 and we voted massively for Jonathan. They are busy supporting Jonathan on social media while the electorates are out there collecting pvcs to vote, they are busy form T.A.N while most of the T.A.N members are without Pvc. I don't even know that there's an enmity between Igbos and Yorubas until I join Nairaland last year which is to show that many yorubas doesn't even know about the hatred. Come to think of it, Gej would have won the election had it been that he got enough votes from from the igbos. Go and sum up the votes gotten from Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia and Anambra and Imo and compare it with the vote GMB got from Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, kastina, yes population differs which is an excuse some might want to present but we can't shy away from the fact that igbos didn't try in terms of number of votes they deliver for GEJ. Buhari didn't get up to one million votes from S/S and S/E and he won. The votes Gej got from Jigawa or Gombe is more than what he received from Abia and Imo state even though Abia state Governor is another case study. How many states in S/S and S/E deliver up to 1 million votes For GEJ apart from Delta and Rivers( I might be wrong). Buhari didn't win election because the yorubas supported him alone. Igbos are the enemy of themselves and not Hausas or Yorubas. Yes I know that many of them would still insult me and I'm expecting some insults for this comment made.. I sign my name..... JOKAY
dude, after abandoning their homeland and relocated to go live in West and North do you know the combined eligible voters in all of Iboland is less that 4million?

Nobody is home!!

What Ibo has failed to realize is that there were three majorities that rotated or shared power distribution and that dimension is in the past....gone forever! Now Ijaw is in the mix, the North Central minorities are in the mix.....everyone want power and those who do a good job of controlling their home base and vote bloc stand to win.

You cannot form base in another man land.....you will end up in his entrapment. Thats what has happened to Ibo, they are entrapped in the vogues of Yoruba cities.

PoliticsThey Want A Trade Fair In Enugu. Why, For What??? by MayorofLagos(op): 11:15pm On Apr 02, 2015
ENUGU--People of the south-east geopolitical zone have lashed out to the Federal Government over its failure to construct the permanent site of the Enugu International Trade Fair Complex, six years on. The federal government had designated Lagos, Kaduna and Enugu, International Trade Fair Complexes since 1992 but had completely constructed that of Lagos and Kaduna, leaving Enugu untouched.

Saturday Vanguard's visit to the fair located along Enugu-Ontisha expressway showed that the efficacy of the fair has ebbed copiously even as shanties and makeshift tents dotted the entire landscape. Bushes had taken over parts of the site. There was no sanitary facility where participants and guests can ease themselves at the fair. The consequence is better imagined. The offensive odour from surroundings make a statement. The abandoned water borehole with over head tank lie prostrate and rusty at the right hand corner of the entrance gate.

ECCIMA

In his opening address at the ongoing 26th Enugu International Trade Fair last Friday, the President, Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA, Mr. Ifeanyi Okoye, said."Since we commenced the hosting of the fair here, six years ago, we have been striving to improve on the facilities in the complex. "We are once more appealing to the Federal Government to set aside adequate fund for the direct award of contract to a competent contractor to complete the development of the Enugu International Trade Fair Complex just as was done in Kaduna and Lagos.

PARTICIPANT CRIES

A participant at the fair, Mr. Christopher Ozonweke regretted that,"The flair of the fair has been lost. Go round and check. You will hardly find a foreign participant or exhibitor in this fair.

"How can the nation's industrialisation, investment inflow and employment generation be achieved with this shabby structures and facilities in the fair?. The idea of deepening efforts for market oriented and committed policy reform for the improvement of our business environment to support and encourage the manufacturing/industrial sector and particularly to ensure that our products compete effectively in the international market may be elusive.

APC

Spokesperson of APC,South-East geopolitical zone,Mr. Osita Okechukwu wondered,"why President Goodluck Jonathan should treat Ndigbo with levity". His words:"The 26th Enugu International Trade Fair is ongoing now. Every year, the organisers of the fair keep appealing to Jonathan, to construct the permanent site as was done in Lagos and Kaduna.

"In this country,we have three major ethnic nationalities,Igbo,Hausa and Yoruba. The citing of the three international trade fair complexes to Lagos,Kaduna and Enugu represents the regional structure of the country and is meant to engender even economic growth of the regions.

"For the PDP-led government to have abandoned the Enugu trade fair in ruins is a testament to the entrenched marginalisation Ndigbo has suffered in the past 16 years.

"I was at the opening ceremony of the fair last Friday,a typical Ogbete Main Market here in Enugu is far better than the fair. The efficacy and objective for which the fair was construed has been lost because all the stands are makeshift or shanties. "Is that the kind of fair that will attract foreign participation? It is unfair and a complete disregard to Ndigbo for Jonathan to abandon the construction of the site. Its time for our people to rout this PDP government that has not shown any sign of love to our people."

Sooroptimist1:
OP please dont bother yourself with political juveniles who dont read about history

The historical fact about Nigeria is that since time immemorial, the SS and SE have always aligned with the North they now deride as Born To Rule

It was an historical fact also that the merger we now see in APC was first consumated by the Nationalists of those days but Nnamdi Azikiwe always opt or chicken out in forming a political alliance between citizens of Southern Nigeria

Awolowo who saw the fact that if SW and SE could form an alliance it would always defeat the Northern elements but Zik always spurned his hand of friendship due to the rivalry between both of them yet Awolowo in 1979 deferred to Zik who was few years elderly to him by accepting to be the VP to Zik's Presidency yet the man not only backed out at the last minutes but also leaked the letter Awolowo wrote to him suggesting that proposition to the Press and the Northern Oligarchs

That leaked letter saga led to the sack of Odia Ofeimum who was the Private Secretary to Chief Awolowo then......as he was the one that delivered the letter to Zik hence was thought to be behind the leak but the man consistently said he didnt do it as he has no reason to

When this latter day children of hate come here to allege the SW,one wonders what story they were told about the past

During the formation of APC,all opposition parties were invited to be part of the a grand merger including APGA

While Rochas Okorocha bought into the vision,Peter Obi reneged due to his friendship with Jonathan and probably his own selfish ambition which he feels would be better served under PDP hence he could not wait to hand over power to Obiano before decamping to PDP

APGA have consistently been rap.ed by PDP in the East through rigging anytime they hold elections despite the adoption of Jonathan for Presidency.......one should wonder if the movers of APGA dont always ask for territorial immunity when giving blanket endorsement to Jonathan

So it is only a fo.ol that will blame us SWners for forming a bigger brand of a party when they were invited but they spurned the chance only to turn around to call APC a Yoruba/Hausa-Fulani gang-up

Accursed Children of Hate who should have looked inwards and query their political leaders for being selfish and not thinking about the larger picture but their own pockets

The same people who call SWners Hausa slaves have 95% of their Rich men all made under Hausa led Civilian regime of Shagari and Military regime of IBB and Abacha through sycophancy and heart-rendering boot..licking

We know those who aligned with IBB to scuttle Abiola's mandate and who jubilated when the elections were annulled, they never joined in the push geared towards forcing IBB out

Immediately Abacha ascended the Presidency we knew those who said they were going to die if he does not transmute into a civilian president

We know those who were at the fore front of Obasanjo 3rd term attempt even when the Yorubas were vehemently against it despite being their son

Awon omo oro deede

There have been a few threads with much discussion about how the Eboes lost out on Senate President.I find this quite absurd and perplexing. Why must It be an Eboe? Where does the question of losing out come from? Has there ever been a Yoruba senate president or an Ogoni Senate President? What of Edo or Ijaw? Why can't they produce Senate President ?
Are they not Nigerians? Voting for APC was NEVER a guarantee that the post lgo to Eboes
For those too young to know let us remind them. In 1979 there were 19 states and 95 Senators
This is the number of votes and the number of Senators
National Party of Nigeria 4,032,329 (36) SHAGARI

Unity Party of Nigeria 2,835,362 (28 ) AWO

Nigerian People's Party 2,145,859 ( 16 ) ZIK

Greater Nigerian People's Party1,847,019 ( 8 ) WAZIRI

People's Redemption Party 1,453,538 (7 ) AMINU

Of all the parties on that List ,NPP was the one that went into alliance with NPN so when we tak of traitors we shoud know who we are talking about. The Senate President was Joe Wayas (NPN) Cross River State.

This is the House of Reps 1979

National Party of Nigeria 168
Unity Party of Nigeria 111
Nigerian People's Party 78
People's Redemption Party 49
Greater Nigerian People's Party 43

The Speaker was from the NPP Edwin Ume Ezeoke. Note the number of seats his party won. This is important when we hear all this talk of slaves betrayers etc. The UPN were content to remain firmly in opposition.

The moral is if you do not believe in government remain in opposition and strategize to gain power rather than sell your birthright for a bowl of pottage. Still people must be reminded of FACTS when they start talking rubbish.

.Let us review the last 4 years . What was the Highest post the Yorubas held in government? Did the skies fall ? No Nothing lasts forever not even this most recent "victory". There is no need to "compensate" Eboes just as there was no "compensation" for Yorubas in 1979 or 2011.
