Charly68:The Constitution is talking about fundamental rights and liberty for right to life.....the Constitutiin has never said you have the right to usurp rights of ownership of other people on native lands. You all need to stip abusing and lying on the constitutiin. The constitution does not give right to any citizen to go and claim posession of any part of their land, their government, their customary laws, their space, their traditions. Im surprised Yoruba lawyers are not out in the press putting out counter noise and debunking your lies and misread of the constitution. |
CHESSBOARD:Igbokwe was put in place by a similar demand in past. This is why i always say Fashola was a good administrator but a weak conservative. He always preached Awo's doctrine but failed to practice Awo's love for Yorubaland. Awolowo knew what Ibo was and kept them at a distance. Igbokwe was a quota appointment, simple! How did he win Lagos for APC when the Ibo enclaves in Lagos were all won by PDP? Where is the result of his performance? He may in fact have sabotaged the efforts of APC in Ibo enclaves. Igbokwe my @$$! |
Here is my view on Ibo' demand. What they are insinuating is they do not trust Yoruba in Lagos to head their affairs and if Ibo is not included in the government then they fear Yoruba people will maltreat or cheat them. Thats the bottom line of their demand for representation in Government and customary rights. Our leaders have no visiin, if they did they should have seen what Ibo is and never ever should have invluded any Ibo in the government to begin with, no matter how good they perceive him to be. Tinubu has put his foot down that APC at Federal level will not zone positions and will only appoint by merit. So what makes Ibos think that Tinubu's home state, Lagos will zone positions and include Ibo? On what grounds? If its merit in public administration and sagacity, Ibo is the least desirable to give a cabinet post in Yorubaland. If Ibo is given a place, Hausa must get its place and representation, Ijaw must get its place, Tiv must get, Tapa must get, Igala must get, Kanuri must get, Fulani must get, Edo must get, Itsekiri must get.....every ethnic must get because they all live in Lagos and pay tax as well, .... then what do you turn Yorubaland into? #Ibomustgo |
RareDiamond:You are deceitful, as is typical of your people to do. One of you yesterday twisted the words of Afdb President Akin Adesina to make it seem Iweala was instrumental in his victory at Afdb. Here you are twisting a media report accurately presented by deleting parts of it and giving misrepresentation. My people, never ever trust what Ibo say, always check it out yourself, we are in new age and information is free, dont be lazy .....take the extra clicks and check it. Here is the media report, op is accurate. http://dailypost.ng/2015/06/01/igbos-in-lagos-demand-for-inclusive-government/ |
The caption of this thread is inaccurate. http://newsafricanow.com/afdb-adesina-thanks-jonathan-buhari-pledges-to-help-build-stronger-african-economies/ |

We need regulation on petrol haulage. We have far less train derailment and incidences than we do road mishaps involving freight. Why dont we adopt safety measures and ship hazardous materials via rail? I hope the carnage here result in a wakeup call for change. May their soul rest in peace! |
lygn19:Yoruba did not agitate for it. Mobolaji was appointed to it. Theres no problem if an Ibo is appointed to it but agitating to posess what rightfully belong to others is your undoing and is why you are shunned from appointments. |
lygn19:Mobolaji is a Westerner, not a Southerner. |

Why are you guys peeping at your Governors wives? Leave them alone and respect their marriage. ![]() |
Teo comments... First and most important, I love my VP's appearance in this picture....I am so proud of him dressed in formal wear. Together with his wife, they loog great! Second, if he has not already done so Zuma should patent the lubricant he greases this coconut head with. ![]() |

PDP inspite of its massive failure and embarassing loss in the North continues to reward and zone crucial party leadership positions to the Northern region. The opposition party will have sizeable number of legislators in the National Assembly and as well Governors in the Federal Executive Council, a higher ratio of them are from SE. The push for recovery and control is heating up and so far there has not been any mention of roles or leadership positions for the SE region where the PDP scored its greatest victory. As the leading PDP voting bloc SE ought to have a sizeable sway in the decision of where the Chairmanship goes and without doubt should reward itself with a position that will end up as the kingmaker in 2019. If SE and SS have some sense, this development should be opposed at all cost. Like I always say, Yorubas need to take Ibos under our wing and assist their understanding of political turfs and tact and how the two elements are crucial for victories and dominance. So I stand on this belief that the politically matured and savvy Yoruba should assist in pointing to the inept Ibo where political advantages exist and how to aspire for it. I want all Ibos reading this to share with their Ezes and Ohanaeze that their inclusion in APC rulership will be very marginal and they must accept it as reality of their own informed action. To every cause there is an effect. I also would like them to come to terms with their new role as the opposition bloc. PDP had a dry turn out in the NE and NW. The only glory PDP have for saving face is in their count in the National Assembly. If we take a poll of PDP assembly members majority are South Easterners. Therefore we can propose a similar formula as with APC and suggest power sharing in the opposition must reward support base and victories. In that case SE should get a chunk of the leadership positions in the opposition party, BoT Chairman should then go to an Iboman. So why has it been given to an Hausa from NW where PDP just had an abysmal performance? What merits NW getting rewarded for poor performance? The answer is simple! When it suits their temperament, PDP shares power by zone. The last BoT Chairman Tony Anenih is from SS. Before him it was Bamanga Tukur, from NE. Before that it was Obasanjo, from SW. Now they have moved it to NW. In the just concluded election APC as a ruling party is distributing power in equity to its support base and victories....not according to zone! BoT Chairmanship in the hands of Obasanjo produced YarAdua and succeedingly Jonathan. Obj had a plan mapped out (there's no winning against Baba Iyabo) and he unfolded it successfully. Bamanga followed suit and would have succeeded if it wasn't for Obj rocking the PDP boat. So in the hand of a veteran politician and power player BoT is a powerhouse of immense dimensions and it is from here that the future of PDP performance in the midterm elections and the next general elections will be shaped. PDP has inferred that it is interested in fielding a Northerner against Buhari in 2019. What is wrong with an Ibo candidate? Ibos just delivered for PDP, when do they get their reward? Ibos must speak up and against picking Haliru Mohammed from NW for BoT Chairman. Get an Iboman in there. |
