I am surprised dat the poster had to add the later path of his post to make this a controvesy and a debateable thread. I am sure you know and understand what your sister is trying to say, but you have decided to hear her wrongly just to discredit her church.
Well she is right, you can only receive the life of christ once(born again). Afterward, you're expected to start living a total christian life which gets better as you grow in the word of God and your new life in christ. When you set your hand on the plough you do not look back, peradventure you might fall and do something inconsistent with your christian life, all you need to do is ask for forgiveness and continue to be resolute to become more like jesus/grow in your christian walk with the holy ghost. Because you fall do not mean you should remain there, dust up yourself and continue your life in christ jesus till jesus come back with the help of the word of God and the holy spirit.
I go to the same church as your sister and dat is what we are thought.
Thank you and God give us the strenght to live a victorious christian life. Finito! |

Joagbaje: That was based on a visit. She cooked for But where did the money come from? From Peter . Where did Peter get the money? You can answer that for me.
That was only in samaria or so because they would not allow Jesus to lodge there because he was a Jew. Luke 9:52-53 52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. 53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
He was on transit. You don't carry house around do you? . But Jesus had his own house . Which he built or paid for.
John 1:38-39 38 When Jesus turned and saw them, he asked, "What do you want?" They answered, "Rabbi, where do you live?" The Hebrew word "Rabbi" means "Teacher." 39 Jesus replied, "Come and see!" It was already about four o'clock in the afternoon when they went with him and saw where he lived. So they stayed on for the rest of the day.
Matthew 13:36 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: . I have had this argument before with Alatheia. Jesus had a home. Those scriptures Joagbaje posted more than suggest so. Also on the selling part it is not something that should take anyone aback, it is simply true and logical. He must have received some gifts that he couldnt use directly so they must have sold it to raise money to use. The perfume story alludes to that. By the way, were do you think the idea about selling property like land etc. that was practised by the early christians came from? remember peter and co headed such. The case of Barnabas and Ananias and Saphira also suggests that things were sold to raise money to help the poor and so on. Where do you think they learnt the practise from? Jesus himself! |

Bakare said the right thing. I may differ on his manner of approach or methods of conveying his message but he sure does have a genuine love for his country. The issues are glaring. If the Cabals exist then let them be prosecuted.
I remember a while back during the heated debate on the subsidy removal i saw the Pet Min. say on Channels Tv that "their hands are tied". I was like. . . WTF? Then only after that she said "we never claimed there was a cabal" and all worth not.
It is very lucid that there exists a rot in the system. Get the culprits and prosecute them. Monies should be refunded, people should be arrested and jailed.
The very 150 Million dollar Haliburton bribery scandal that rocked Nigeria a few years back and which nothing was done. The level of hypocrisy amongst Christians is befuddling. Jeez! Did you listen to the message at all? What is the Mans stand on Masturbation: that is unclean and a bad habit.what is his verdict: that it shouldnt be endorsed.what is prescribed therapy: Just stopping it. Getting hold more of your body. Bringing it to subjection of your spirit. Is it a SIN: NO.What the problem is? (intended lazy american english) What is Gods stand on smoking: (errrrmm, i dont know but using my conscience i would say it is a SIN), i ask such a person are you OK? Has God standard become subject to your conscience? Are you aware that Adolph Hitler killed Jews on saturday and would be the first in Church the following day? Do you know why he could do that? yes you guessed right. It was because his CONSCIENCE approved it! This isnt a matter of conscience or endorsement. It is plain and simple. IS IT A SIN? if yes, Please provide supporting scriptures let us learn. IF they dont exist.(and they dont) let it rest. You dont score points with God by telling people what SIN is or isnt. HYPOCRITES! Many of you that are really against it are the lots that practise it the most. You based it as a reason why you are running away from God (afterall i'm sinning why should i go to church?) Gods word has told you- YOU CAN STOP IT, BUT GOD ISNT HOLDING IT AGAINST YOU! so what does satan do? as usual, he fights the word, wrestles it out of weak hearts and supplants confusion and hypocrisy. Take a chill pill. Please. AND as for which pastor endorsed what and what- it doesnt really count. Paul said " when he met the who and who from the first christians that most of messages added nothing to him. . . . for God doesnt judge people by who and who endorsed them (seriously paraphrasing) Pastor Chris is a very balanced and bold teacher. He knew this would generate the controversy its generating but he still said the TRUTH. Theres no were in scripture that expressly or otherwise addresses masturbation as a SIN. let us not call a SIN what God hasnt. Dont be guilty of the same hypocritical act the folks that wanted to mob the woman that was caught committing adultery were guilty of. Jesus didnt endorse her act but he didnt condemn her either. Joagbaje: IT'S A MALICIOUS LIE
Firstly ,it was not a pastor who asked the question. It's a live online programme where someone asked about mastubation. If its a sin or so and how to stop. And pastor chris made it clear that though it's not a sin agsinst God ,it's a habit, and you can stop it by just stopping todo it.
They simply have to prove from scriptures if God ever called it a sin. None have been able to do that yet. Some have called smoking a sin , taking of wine a sin etc. but these man made laws even though they are moral have no biblical backing. Pastor Chris does not support mastubation but he will still not call it a sin if God hadn't called it one. And anybody who feel its a biblical sin should simply prove it biblically. That's all.
he said all these things i have proof of them all in books and videos and some are online i am the one that posted the video ma.st.ur.ba.tion is not sin Pastor Chris Oyakhilome says? Really full version for all the doubters? that is just one in hunderds of videos i have and book like the Rhapsody of realities Rhapsody of realities and the false teaching of Christ Embassy Key word here “Productivity” this reveals the true mind set of the church and the pastors in charge of it is all about production and making more of an increasing faith in the almighty manna, which is money, their language is clear and truly revealing as Someone once said: This shows the true version of their Christianity and it is a business model to these “Spiritual Entrepreneurs" Their own speech and language betrays them and tells us a hidden truth about them?See even apostle Paul was stop he failed sometimes proof for those who doubt me On a good note this is positive and a welcoming thought, we all need encouragement in times of darkness, but what we don’t need is a false representation of the word truth which this statement reveals it is a “Think Positive Gospel” but it is not the “Gospel of Christ” and Jesus told us in the world we would have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world. But there is hope here in this passage, but there is also tribulation which is a fact of life in this world, but in “Christ Embassy” you as a child of God you will never have this because your born again and you are gods which is a lie, one (you are not a gods) we are “god like beings” second there is not one apostle that did not have trouble or tribulations The key word here is tribulation how can you be a success if you were told you would have tribulation which would lead to sickness and pain and suffering unclothedness and poverty like Jesus said we would have the poor always with us but me meaning Jesus you shall not always have? Now I know the next comment I will get is this I will be called a baby who is in “Spiritual Darkness” but the apostle Paul was sick and there is many cases in the bible where people where sick and they were believers there was an article in the December issue in the 15th as well saying much the same thing this is more than likely ill-conceived attempt at spiritual regurgitation bring up the same old thing over and over again? Well Spirit does not have “D.N.A” this is preposterous to think along these lines only the very spiritually ignorant would even use such crowd metaphors, because the word of God, tells you clearly spirit is not based on the physical but on the spirit its self, spirit can only give birth to spirit as the book of john states clearly as the passages reveals below: God is SpiritBut the physical is a shadow of things to come that is why the tabernacle was built in such a way to give representation to the heavenly tabernacle but to say spirit has “D.N.A” which It has “NOT” the term “D.N.A” (Deoxyribonucleic acid)What will we be like when he comes Jesus Christ that is easy to see the bible spells is out clear as crystal the answer is and “angel” or better put “Spirit Beings” but notice he did not say Gods like he teaches? And we will be god like beings So this exposes (Pastor Anita Oyakhilome) “her school girl errors” in teaching and these people writing this are meant to be the best of the spiritual crop this only reveals there ignorance and poor quality of teaching where did he (Pastor Chris Oyakhilome) get is (P.H.D) from it does not even tell you what his (P.H.D) is in it could be pluming for all we know? This is wrong we were “made to give him glory” and not made for his glory; even thou God gets glory from us he does not need a thing from man, but I know this is classic “Christ Embassy” teaching from (Pastor Chris Oyakhilome) but the bible reveals another story all together? Here this passage below showing clearly Gods mind once again over ruling man kind This shows clear what (Pastor Chris Oyakhilome) is doing is usurping the very glory of God for himself and the members of the church and the people are so charmed with the school boy smile they don’t see how terrible his deception is it is utter blasphemy to the highest order? Coupling it with his other teaching on “we are gods” which is also another “false teaching” based on partly wrong translation form the “Masoretic text” it actually says “we are god like beings” in the Hebrew I know I have translated this myself using a computer? This shows now the clear ignorance of these people who don’t know there bibles or run after truth like there life’s depend on it, because your life does depend on it? There nothing more than slick business people, making dims into dollars out of the precious truth of the Gospel there nothing more blind guides, there not even theologies they carve up the word like it a Sunday roast at the meal table? Devouring it for personal gain? This is part of another teaching which he (Pastor Chris Oyakhilome) says your made in the image of God so don’t speak against Gods workman ship this is to silence reason in the person so you will not question anyone in the church hence, he is mentally disarming you in short your put in metal chains and become a spiritual slave to their ministry? This is got be said this is the most blasphemies thing I have ever heard come out of a man’s mouth this is the same as Satan did he will be like the most high he will exalt himself above the most high God throne? Satan want to get all the glory for himself he was not content with being number 3 covering angel so hatched a plan to take the throne of God? Now we know that some blasphemies can be forgiven but I would charge anyone to never do it in the first place and this call yourself the glory of God is an abomination quote] "Glory" is one of the most common words in scripture. In the Old Testament, the word is used to translate several Hebrew words, including Hod (הוד) and kabod; and in the New Testament it is used to translate the Greek word doxa (δόξα). The Hebrew word kabod (K-B-D) originally means "weight" or "heaviness." The same word is then used to express importance, honor, and majesty. Greek versions of the Hebrew Bible translated this concept with the word doxa, which was then used extensively in the New Testament as well. Doxa originally means "judgment, opinion", and by extension, "good reputation, honor". Assuming that these various words and uses should refer to a single underlying concept, St. Augustine renders it as clara notitia cumlaude, "brilliant celebrity with praise".Once again here is another scripture showing God does not share his glory And God goes further and says it has to do with profaning his name And before the usual we are his radiance and glory like they teach in the church this scripture show the Son is the radiance of God's glory read it this is clear?Read the rest of this chapter yourself and it will become clear (2 Thessalonians 2 This is telling the members you don’t listen to your circumstance and people that is how some in the church would translate this passage here. This is a joke seeing they can’t even reason out the word of truth in scripture This is called the power of suggestion telling you; what to think this I mind over matter? This is simple I thinking therefore “I think so I am” this one “O” one philosophy here for the simple? Pavlov effect the virtual bell on the cash machine gets rung for the members with the key words below: 14. He has made you healthy, victorious, super-intelligent prosperous strong influential and rich 14. ! Therefore, say "Yes, Lord, I’m what you say I am. I’m healthy, victorious, super-intelligent, prosperous, strong, influential and rich!" This is nothing more than some person using the carrot and stick for the donkey routine? There being conditioned and they don’t know it very sad This reveals the minds set of all these Christ Embassy people chasing a treasure pot at the end of rainbow they may as well believe in “little Green Leprechaun”
the longest rubble of rubbish. |

The role of the state governors and LG is pertinent but trivial to the the topic and theme of the thread. Let beaf not derail it too far.
I have nothing personal against the person of GEJ (my president) but i wouldnt for reasons not beyond cronism take every darn thing he says hook, line, sinker, fishermans rod, and even his hand! We have to dissect them as dispassionately as possible.
The key man in our so called federalism is the president. He alone is the icon of the FG. where he fails they cannot succeed. Leadership as someone rightly said trickles down, it doesnt cascade up. What Jona wouldnt do well i can as well be certain not to see it get done but those lazy emperors A.K.A governors.
But that is not the niggling issue here. Should the president have taken a desicion to wow Nigerians into believing that the SURE-P would be implemented? Even if the program isnt cancelled can we trust him to deliver?
He has said so many things and hitherto none has come to fruition. He said there was a "cabal" only for his Pet.min to say we never called anyone a "cabal". They claimed that Nigeria had spent 1.3 1.35, 1.4, 1.7TRILLION! which one do we now believe?
He was taken aback to have seen that the wrong SURE-p document/brochure was still in circulation 35days after he had instructed its circulation yet they had a meeting to increase and decrease PMS pump price were all the issues were delibrated on including the SURE-P. certainly he didnt feel that he could actuate all the "palliatives" he had already mentioned in the earlier document so when he was making the announcement to slash the price to #97 why didnt he also talk about the corresponding effect the new price would have on his SURE P?
He claimed civil servant salaries would be paid before 20th of any month but as i speak salaries havent being paid and the same thing happened last month. what should we believe?
When we ask all these questions they call it nitpicking and being overly critical. like really?
Asking my president why he dilly dallies to do some cogent things is nitpicking? Asking him why it took him so long to finger Ringim is nitpicking? Asking him who authrorized the illegal appropriation of the subsidy money is nitpicking?
REALLY?
CAN YOU SEE WHY WE DONT BELIEVE HIM? there are too many questions. no answers. The least we expect you to do is agree with it or live it. But it certainly, most assuredly, surely, matter of factly isnt nitpicking! |

They gave different accounts and different reasons for the sham that even the devil found it hard to believe. My grouse isnt wether he meant re-structuring a new program or withdrawing the program all together. I would settle for the former. My grouse is this
1. why did it take 35 long days to aver such? The decision to take the pump price to #97 from #141 was achieved at "unilaterally" which invariably means that consultations were met and that price seemed to be optimum-relieving the FG of some burden yet keeping some form of the subsidy. The SURE-P was then to be sustained by the proceeds of the #32 being saved.
2. Why havent they started with the implementation since they usain bolted to get the board inaugurated?
3. dont bother lecturing me on the appropriation of the budget brouhaha, we asked govt were in the constitution was the funding of the program going to come from since it wasnt allocated or accounted for? |

canuck: I don’t understand the basis for this name-calling and yabis among NLders o!
Below is a chronology of events regarding subsidy removal and SURE:
Jan 1 – 100% withdrawal of petrol subsidy goes into effect Jan 16 – 58% withdrawal of petrol subsidy goes into effect as a compromise Feb 13 – President Jonathan inaugurates SURE Feb 20 – President Jonathan says initial SURE promises no longer sure (pardon my pun)
I don’t believe that well-meaning Nigerians doubt that a revision of the SURE plans may be necessary.
The bigger question is why did it take the Federal Government 35 DAYS (between Jan 16 and Feb 20) to realize that a revision was necessary?! One out of twelve months wasted.

I thought government said the price had to be at #141 we resisted it so they slashed it to #97. This should imply that they save #32 as against #76. If they planned to recoup 1.34 trillion 1.7 trillion from saving #76 i believe they would be able to accrue atleast 700 billion from #32. This i am sure they considered before coming up with the "Unilateral" decision to set the price at #97. Why didnt they re-structure the SURE programme at this point atleast they had a full month before the inauguration of the SURE board.
I also think it is senile of the pro govt supporters here to make a mockery of the Occupy nigeria Movement. If they are, I hope when they go to the various filling stations they always tell the attendants to sell them the PMS at #141. If they dont they are hypocrites.
One was made to believe that govt had already purchased the buses(so called green and white palliative buses). I expected that by now we would have have been seeing them everywhere. A poser no one has answered or attempted to answer since. Shame! |

I see nothing wrong with the President mandating them to supply the reserve to the bordering communities. I feel it is very within his jurisdiction as the president. however, if the reason i think he is doing it, is why he is doing it. Then we have a problem with this presidents thinking faculty.
In january, Chevron desecrated the offshore region in which an abandoned well (full of gas deposit) exists. They took a totally unsafe measure (against the counsel of the contractor-Schlumberger) to forcefully try to produce from that well that the contractor had complained was too sensitive. The result: a loss of two lives and a wanton wastage of our Gas and oil deposit.
Schlum, have told Chevron to re-emburse them for the damage done to their equipment on site (i am privy to this info) and Chevron has subserviently agreed to this. Please note that the figures are in multi millions of Dollars. FG on the otherhand through NOSDRA should have assessed the damage done to the communities river, livelihood, water etc (since a majority of the occupants are fishermen) in terms of dollars and should have sought compensation. But as i write, infact some 3 days ago or so, the Executive secretary or Director of NOSDRA said Chevron did nothing wrong and that they have efficiently curtailed the impact of the damage. Which by the way is a BIG FAT LIE!
Many respected Nigerians have complained saying that govt should have taken sterner measures. Many Nairalanders have said same. What does Jona do? Instruct them to supply electricity to the host community from their reserves. How commensurate is this with the damage the company has done to the community? Juxtaposing what Jona did concerning SPDC's own and Chevrons, now with How President Obama handled the gulf of mexico situation and ask yourself "How does this measure with that?
I am still seeking the answer. But i hope, no i pray that for Gods sake this isnt the reason he has instructed them to supply electricity to the host community. |

Hug his enemies who are at the war to eliminate him and his battalion? Murtala Mohammed fought gallantly during the war and he deserves praises for that. You talk about the many Ibos that were killed, what about the Yorubaa and Hausas that Ibo soldiers killed or are you saying that through out the war, Biafran soldiers did not kill anyone from the other side? These are the same people that accuse Obabanjo of being too brutal at the war front. Is the war front a place to kiss your enemies? I don't know why Ibo parents are bringing up their children to hate other tribes. You said Awolowo betrayed Ibos during the war, but an Ibo man, Azikwe was the President and a Hausa man the Prime Minister when Awolowo was jailed for Treason and Treasonable Felony, yet Yorubas will not say Ibo and Hausa betrayed them by sending Awolowo to jailed.
Awolowo had the choice of supporting any of the parties during the civil war and he opted to support the Nigerian Army, whether that decision was right or not is Awo's problem, but he had two choices and he went with his heart. Ekweme and Shagari rigged Awolowo out in 1979 and 1983, yet, Yorubas will not cry over that. Any group of people that rise up in rebellion against a constituted government should be ready for the consequences.
Ojukwu was and is still a great man, I am very sure Ojukwu will never ever say that Awolowo betrayed him or that Murtala Mohammed commit genocide, Biafrans fought a war and they lost. Galatians 3:19 (KJV) - Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. In other words, until Jesus came and fulfilled the law.
Galatians 3:23-25 (KJV) 23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Galatians 3:10-14 (KJV) 10For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Hebrews 7:7 (KJV) “And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.”
Abram, the lesser, was blessed by the King-Priest Melchisedek, the better.
Abram gave the tenth to the better.
1 Peter 2:5 (KJV) “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”
1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
1 - According to the scriptures, priests do not tithe. 2 - As priests, all born-again believers are equal. There is no better or lesser among us. God has not designated any born-again believers to collect His tithe. 3 - To try and “tithe” today is denying that you are a part of a Royal Priesthood.
SIX STEPS TO UNDERSTANDING WHEN AND HOW THE TITHE ENDED
STEP 1 - Hebrews 7:5 confirms that Levi received tithes according to the law under the Levitical priesthood.
STEP 2 - Hebrews 7:12 tells us changing the priesthood will also change the law.
STEP 3 - Hebrews 7:18 verifies that the command to tithe was disannulled (canceled).
STEP 4 - Ephesians 2:15 and Colossians 2:14 confirm that the Old Testament laws were abolished; nailed to the cross.
STEP 5 - Galatians 4:5 tells us that Jesus redeemed those who were under the law. Ephesians 2:15 and Colossians 2:14 above tell us how Jesus redeemed those under the law – by nailing the laws to the cross.
STEP 6 - Galatians 3:10 is telling us those who reject what Jesus did on the cross and continue to put themselves under the law are cursed by the law. That verse also tells us those who put themselves under even one of the laws, are putting themselves under all of the laws written in the book.
No one follows God's tithing commands today. Please tell me WHY anyone would want to follow an inferior way when the New Testament offers a better way!! Galatians 3:19
How is the law fufiled by jesus?
It is fufiled to the extent that, his coming to fufil the prophecies has been foretold in the old testament Directed to Abraham that;.
(through your seed ,the nation will bless themselves, and when) .
Galatians 3:19.
19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator
Colossians 2:14
14 blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us. He took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross;
EVEN MALACHI 3. IN THE OLD TESTAMENT THAT TALKS ABOUT THE TITHE ADMITS 'THE PURIFYING OF THE LEVI(PRIEST) SO THAT,OFFERINGS WILL BE IN 'RIGHTEOUSNESS' AND NOT WITH THE OLD PETTERN THAT HAS BEEN ANNULED,READ
Malachi 3:1-4
3 “Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts. 2 “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness.
For those who think they are to follow God's tithing commands, which of the following do you follow?
THE FIRST TITHE Leviticus 27:30-33 defines this tithe as a tenth of crops and animals in herds and flocks. Numbers 18 gives the ordinances, or instructions, for this tithe, and commands this tithe be taken to the Levites. Purpose of this tithe: to support the Levitical Priesthood.
SECOND TITHE Deuteronomy 14:22-27: aka The Festival Tithe - a tenth of crops, plus add to that the firstborn animals, and take for the yearly feast. Purpose of this tithe: “that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always”
THIRD TITHE Deuteronomy 14:28-29: aka The Three-Year Tithe aka The Poor Tithe - a tenth of crops, kept at home, and invite the Levites, widows, orphans, stranger to eat. Purpose of this tithe: to feed the poor.
In all three cases, the tithe comes from God's miraculous increase of food from crops and animals, NOT money, and NOT from anyone's income. You can't follow the law by changing the law.
Give me the scripture that YOU follow when you "tithe." A very long pile of rubbish! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Rhapsody Of Realities Really A Scam? by mbaemeka(m): 10:46am On Feb 09, 2012 |
Grey Beard: Mba_Emeka, there is another argument to the Mimshach theory. Here it is. One should study the Bible and make up ones own mind.
First of all, let us discuss what the “mimshach” annointing is. Proponents of the word harken back to Ezekiel 28:14 and say that it was the same blessing bestowed upon Lucifer. However, Lucifer (Satan) has corrupted it. We, as Christians, are also able to access that same blessing and use it for our own increase and expansion.
There are a couple of problems with this. First, it relies on the misinterpretation of Ezekiel 28 as being directed at Satan. It was, in fact, directed to Tyre and Sidon, and a cursory glance at the text will prove that it could not possibly refer to Satan, as it refers to this entity as being destroyed. Well, Satan has not been destroyed yet, so it could not even begin to reference him. The closest reference is to look at the passage and realize that, like Satan, Tyre and Sidon fell because of their pride and licentiousness.
As for the “mimshach” annointing, I would steer clear for a couple of reasons. First, it relies on gross misinterpretation of the scripture. Secondly, it requires us to essentially be chasing after many of the same things that the cities who originally were corrupted and fell were chasing for, namely expansion, increase, and gain. As Christians, we must be ever mindful that, rather than chase after an annointing, we have a gift already that is more precious than any “annointing,” and that is the original baptism of the Holy Spirit that we have already received. In walking in the Spirit, there is more connection and power than we could ever have in a misinterpreted scripture. The only thing worth responding to is your assertion that the passage of scripture wasnt refering to lucifer. It is at best-ludicrous! A very clear understanding of the scripture disputes that. sadly, this is one area of your existence i'm sure doesnt function really well. You seem to have directionless grouses against giving, tithing etc. but surreptiously you try unsuccessfully to present yourself as a christian seeking truth and spreading what you think is the right understanding or interpretation of the word. No single truth has been passed. Nobody told anybody to go after chasing what God has already given to the Christian free of Charge so i find it amusing that you would claim such. The message was clear "you have an anointing to expand and spread" as simple as A, B, C. What grace would anyone fall from for "expanding and increasing?" isnt that what a true christian should be seeking for- The expansion and spreading of the gospel? how do you suppose this would happen if the christians dont expand and increase individually? What kind of christianity do you even peddle? I could have dissected that travesty you call "interpretation of scripture" but i found out that those thoughts werent even yours originally. You yanked it from a sordid website and you didnt even have the integrity to reference them. |
I laugh. When they see that traffic seems to be dropping, they place a Pastor Chris story on the front page and 'GBOAH!'. . . the numbers go up. Anyways, a day will come when we will all stand before the master to give account.
I wonder what the OP will say when he finds out that not a dime was received as royalty or profit by Pastor Chris from the printing or publication of any book, VCD, DVD, tape e.t.c. The OP will definitely pay for these lies except he openly repents.
I heard Pastor Chris say, "I buy my own copy of ROR". One time, I heard Bishop Oyedepo say that he has never received money from the sale of any book since his ministry began. I believe its the same for Adeboye since he sort of fathered Oyedepo. These men have made their lives and ministries an alter for God's presence and power. No man can successfully stop them or bring them down. No wonder (I thought) millions around the world receive miracles and are blessed, protected, delivered, and prospered by simply connecting to these men. No wonder, God is committed to Oyakhilome, scattering the enemies that rise against him no matter their size or stature. No wonder it appears the nations have been given to him. ROR is being distributed in over a hundred and sixty countries in 148 languages of the world.
No wonder Satan is mad. These are the last days and just like we see liars and false teachers like the OP, we will also see the glory and power of God in His church like never before.
^^^^in a nut shell!!!!!
Thats is the morale of the story- traffic into the site. Pastor Chris talked about the Mimshach anointing and he said it works (should work) in the life of every christian. It is the anointing for increase and expansion. He explained how satan had and still has the anointing (which gives credence to the reason "useless and junk satan inspired movies and music proliferate and thrive". Then he said something astounding, it works also in the life of the christian.
It works in his life (Pastor chris' ) it also works in his ministry and by extension it works in my life.
When AIT where struggling some years back they started showing his programs solicited and unsolicited. We know were they are today. TBN has recorded (to my dismay) a sharp loss in their ratings- hes no longer there too. Even on Nairaland, it is very clear, any topic or thread that has to do with him or his ministry attracts the most viewing and followership. whether you know it or not, it is the mimshach anointing. Look at twitter, facebook etc. The followership wont stop.
These detractors are unwittingly giving him and his ministry the publicity the word of God requires. They are neccessary. On behalf of CEC and Pastor Chris i say, they are very welcome. |
Politics › Re: House Of Reps Probe On The Management Of Fuel Subsidy - Live by mbaemeka(m): 3:32pm On Feb 08, 2012 |
jp philips: lets talk about this present day subsidy regime, the Cbn gov has already confessed he has evidence of round tripping , he said he paid subsidy on 15 fake vessels approved by customs. what did madueke do? nothing
the reasons investors did not build refineries over the years was lack of cheap crude but the biggest reason is corruption how?
licences were given to companies without the financial muscle to build refineries also part b of the license clearly states that these armed robbers have oil lifting license embedded in their refining license, tell me who will choose refining over lifting where he makes instant profit and inflated subsidy what did madueke do? nothing as usual
do you know that NNPC does not have storage facilities for all those millions of products they are quoting and importing. how exactly does Nnpc wish to store 30million litres of pms? do you know that these fg goons went ahead to licence importers without storage facilities leading to the govt paying extra for storage on a product they are paying over 70 naira as subsidy can u beat this stup1dity and incompetence?
what did iweala and madueke do? nothing,
do you know that these leppers in Nnpc have no grading structure for imported pms low grade, mid grade and high grade all are pms same subsidy, same price even ethanol blends have subsidy paid on them, can you beat that? even abroad where the products come from have different prices. some are far cheaper than others which ordinarily should attract low subsidy
what did madueke do? nothing.
do you know that these bingos at Nnpc dont maintain their pipeline networks which ordinarily should link one depot to the other, they have to pay extra for tankers transporting these products all are subsidies. eventhough their foreign jv partners are maintaining over 1000 pipeline networks in Nigeria. what did madueke do? nothing.
do you know that under madueke's watch demurrage is paid as subsidy to these importers . how cant they be reponsible for their import schedule? is it not commonsensical for madueke to prioritize the discharge of those vessels quickly in tank farms as not to attract demurrage for a product you are subsidizing?
and they want us to tighten for a better future? which future ? can iweala,Sls and madueke plan for a sustainable future if given the task? dead failures.
for every extra kobo you pay on pms you paid for madueke's incompetence. now they can see high expenditure but cant see how their incompetence is inflating the subsidy regime. Do u seriously think iweala will see it comming if it was true that economy will crash?
Let us analyze the genere and politics of these issues There are more misnomers than facts surrounding this subsidy brouhaha. First, the Govt said the economy will collapse, ridiculous indeed
secondly,
the Govt said oil importers are a 'cabal', nearly fell off my seat. Comrades, there are no cabals, in 2009 the scarcity of petroleum products became intense and the Govt admitted that Nnpc through its subsidiary PPMC has failed Nigerians by their inability to meet up with the supply of pet. Products and that phenomenon gave rise to licensing of some people to 'assist' the Nnpc in doing their job for which they are paid for. Please don't forget that hitherto, Nnpc has been doing the importation and refining themselves before corruption eroded their common sense. These importers went abroad and came back with a price Nnpc is already aware of comprising of logistics, storage and administrative costs, these were quantified before they arrived at a price. The FG now fixed a price tag of 65naira on Pms and agreed to be reimbursing the importers the balance not oblivious of the fact that the landing cost is higher than the stipulated price To my greatest chagrin, the Jonathan’s administration woke up and termed them 'cabals' who are fleecing the nation.
Assuming Ruben Abati goes abroad to buy a TM underwear for 1k and decides to sell it 1.5k adding purchase price plus logistics plus profit and the Govt tells him to sell at 900 naira, wont he ask for the 600naira balance? When the incompetent NNPC agrees to reimburse him, then he has become a cabal stealing from the GOvt? We are not docile, If Nnpc lived up to their responsibility, we won’t have need for the importers in the first place. There is no doubt that the subsidy regime is met with corrupt practices, is it not the responsibility of the govt to clamp down on those malfeasance? the Governor of central bank confessed during the town hall meeting that he paid subsidy to 15 fake vessels who connived with customs to falsify their papers. is this not fierce corruption? and we have a shameless commander in chief? by the way, how many naval officers patrol our waters on tax payers account? efcc, icpc etc The only solution that came to the minds of this disgruntled PDP administration is to remove subsidy into-to not minding its inflationary consequences. This is the si1liest approach any human being with brain if they have one can summon.
Thirdly,
Jonathan insulted the intelligence of Nigerians telling us that we don't benefit from this subsidy except for the importers and he had the unbridled temerity to be advertising it on NTA saying the rich are getting richer. This people are demons. When Ruben abiati's mother goes to the market to buy vegetable at a price, does he not know that the seller included cost of transportation to that price? So when the transporter buys PMS @ 65naira and fixes his price based on that, he says his mother did not benefit from the subsidy that guaranteed the price in the first place? In a generator driven economy like ours? It is either Ruben Abiati and his employers are drunks or they think that Nigerians are m0rons.
I feel sorry for people that think that competition will crash the deregulated price erroneously juxtaposing it with GSM. Do you know that the price of crude being the raw material for refined pet. Products are sold at the same price world overl? If you agree to this, then, even if you deregulate and license 5million importers the product will still be expensive because crude itself is expensive. You will still need to subsidize it to 65naira, exactly why deregulation of diesel in part did not work. The only reason you have not bought diesel @ 200naira is because there are so many illegal refineries who bunker crude, settle JTF and refine diesel at a lower price. This people still pose a great threat to the importers who buy at a higher price that is why you get diesel @ 140naira elsewhere but in the delta i buy as low as 70naira. At this verge you will not over rule the fact that these unscrupulous elements contribute to the availability of diesel, if you are in doubt, anywhere you see cheap diesel, ask the dealer the source of his consignment If he is honest he will tell you the truth, when i was told, i took an hr 20mins boat ride to a remote village in the delta between Belema and Kola communities and i saw the local refinery myself. Conduct a chemical test on those cheap diesels if you are not convinced and you will realize a lot of additives are missing.Sounds incredible but those are the realities on ground. You now know why many importers in the delta hardly have diesel. I still feel sorry for those who think the Govt should build more refineries, that will not solve the problem either because there is no cheap crude to supply these refineries.
Do you know that even the petroleum products from our present refineries at a disappointing capacity attract subsidy? that is what Sanusi is not telling Nigerians. This Sanusi's buisness model of increasing local price to attract investors is misleading.
He should ask himself why so many buisnesses left the USA for Asia and Arrica between 1998 till 2008. The reason was because cost of doing buisness in America was high so there was need to tap into Africa's cheap land and asia's cheap labour.
If you increase the pump price the spiral inflation will discourage investors, you pay high for land, labour, enegy etc.
A brief insight in Nigeria's oil and gas model gives us a better outlook The oil production of Nigeria stands at 2.37 million barrels of crude daily. Nigeria get this crude in a JV (joint venture) with IOC's (international oil companies) and the Nigeria's cut stand btw 55% to 60% of the lot, if we go by 60% then, that gives a total of 1.4m barrels daily. If we average the crude price from 2009 till date, the price falls close to 100usd/bbl.In that case, Nigeria makes 140,000,000usd daily from this JV. Nigeria has a policy called DSO (domestic supply obligation) which mandates 250,000bbl/d of this crude to be refined and consumed locally,In monetary terms, the Nigerian govt is giving us 25,000,000usd worth of crude to refine. Our three refineries at optimum capacity utilizes about 450,000bbl/d which gives 45,000,000usd in monetary terms in other words, the price of raw material in this case, crude, accrued to our refineries comes at 45m usd per day , if you add refining cost and profit of 6usd per bbl,The total cost becomes 270,000,000usd per day. There is no way you can refine that crude at that price and sell it 65naira/ l and make profit. Meanwhile, once we mark out that 45m usd worth of crude for our refineries (assuming they are working at optimum capacity), the govt has already lost 45m usd from their 140m usd daily earnings (which will affect budget implementation) and after refining will still spend more money to subsidize it to 65naira/ l (you now understand why NNPC subsidizes the products from our refineries) With this analogy, you will agree with me that if all our refineries are working optimally, the govt will spend 3times our present day subsidy to bring the pump price down to 65naira/l .
So, for those of you clamoring for refineries should be careful what you wish for because there is no cheap crude for you to refine.
I have argued abinitio that the sales of other derivatives of crude will bring down the cost of most sort PMS,DPK etc but after doing some feasibility studies, i realized i was dead wrong.
I further argued that to make cheaper crude available for our refineries, the Govt should reduce the price at which it is supplied unfortunately, the senate mandated the then GMD of Nnpc that the DSO must be sold at international crude price. This i believe was proposed for the following reasons:
1 the refineries are working below capacity so what the heck does Nnpc use the crude for?
2, there is a benchmark on crude price for budget implementation. With these reasons, any existing or yet to exist refinery in Nigeria will get crude at a high price and must need subsidy to sell at 65naira/ l, at this cross road, the then GMD of Nnpc decided that all crude should be exported and subsidy be paid on imported products.
At this verge, i must reiterate here that competition amongst importers will only crash the profit margin but not cost price.Even if every Nigerian becomes an importer of pet. Prods, we can never change the fact that crude in the int l market is already expensive before thinking of refined prod. So we must need subsidy to make profit.
Before this issue of subsidizing petroleum products can be addressed,You must have the following at the back of your minds:
1, Nigeria pegs a benchmark on crude prices to enable it implement budget. This stands at 75usd/bbl. And this crude is sort from the JV .2, if crude price exceed the benchmark above, Nigeria makes excess crude revenue (ECR) 3, conversely, if we make excess crude revenue, the price of subsidy on refined products shoot up.With the above analogy, One can argue that the ECR be used to subsidize imported petroleum products since both are a function of each other unfortunately in Nigeria, it comes with its own challenges. By law, the constitution clearly states that all revenue accrued to the FG be shared amongst the three tiers of Govt. This alone makes it illegal for the FG to keep the ECR to itself for whatever reason. This is where the wahala started, during GEJ's campaign, he astronomically increased workers salary without consulting the state Governors, most Governors have refused to pay on the grounds that they cannot afford it. On that grounds Taraba, jigawa and some other states have a genuine case. With the above development, the states started scrambling for funds and remembered the ECR and insisted it must be shared to enable them pay the new wage and develop infrastructures. you now understand why all state governors are for subsidy removal including the literally "one of us" comrade Adams oshiomole, because they know it will be shared just like the ECR
The way forward:
In the short run:
All unions must ensure the FG, must consider these options,
1, identify and tackle the corruption and incompetence prevalent in the subsidy regime above. That will push down the cost of the subsidy in the first place.Like i said in April, no matter how sincere GEJ think his administration is, he cannot make any reasonable progress in the face of corruption,
2, the power projects must come upstream before removing subsidy, this will reduce the demand on pet. Products to a very great extent.
3, Nigeria must accommodate Gas export, port duties and other forms of revenue in their budget implementation policies.
4, Govt must never invest an extra kobo in our moribund refineries, by doing otherwise, the cost price of the refineries will rise to an extent that it will no longer be attractive to investors or will prolong their repayment plan.Thereby making it very capital intensive.
5, Instead of deceiving Nigerians with their cabal bullshit and deluding them that they don't benefit from this subsidy, the FG should channel that propaganda with intense lobbying to the senate,NLC and civil society organizations to stop the state governors from demanding for the ECR, this can be achieved by the FG asking the state to pay whatever increment they can afford for the workers that way the ECR will be used for subsidizing pet. Products.
In the long run:
Nigeria must seek local production capacity. It is no longer news that Nnpc and its subsidiaries have failed woefully in meeting the needs of the Nigerian people. Nnpc through its subsidiaries Npdc and Ngc are saddled with the responsibility of the above for oil and gas production respectively, but as i write, the current production of NPDC stands at a paltry 90,000bbl/ day which is a huge failure for an agency set up 23yrs ago,
The IOC's has made us believe that it will cost less than 12usd to extract 1bbl of our oil.
The Management of NPDC must be reshuffled and if possible experts brought in on contract basis to improve NPDC's production. These experts must be placed on targets appraised by milestones. in ogoni land for instance, Anglo dutch has a lot of abandoned production facilities and marginal wells and others scattered all over the country, these can be bought by NPDC with the money FG want to waste on refineries to improve production,
If NPDC can extract oil at 12usd/bbl and make a little profit, with this cheap oil available, Nigeria will have no reason going to the JV.
This cheap crude is what will attract investors to build refineries and create jobs against sanusi's pump price increase to attract investors and create another monster called INFLATION, A 250,000bbl/d refinery will cost a little above 5b usd, dangote alone can afford two of those only if NPDC can guarantee cheap oil. This is why no investor is coming to build refineries. A crude price of 18usd/bbl from NPDC will guarantee pump price of less than 22naira per litre of pms from these refineries. With this plan,By the end of this Administration, NPDC will have robust production capacity and the refineries will guarantee steady refined products. These refineries shouldn't be operated by the Govt for any reason. The FG will generate revenue from both ends, export of crude and export refined products and the production of NPDC must be increasing periodically. this is necessary because Nigeria as a member of OPEC has a limit to crude export but we can earn more revenue from petroleum products export. Once the above takes effect, there won’t be any need to be paying subsidy because pump price will be around 23naira/ l and inflation will reduce by 40‰. Now, how competent is Allison Madueke and iweala if they can’t figure this out?
To think of removing subsidy at this stage where there is no electricity and high corruption rate will be tantamount to economic suicide.
I cant believe iweala and sanusi are using trial and error approach to economic solutions please try the next country or preferably Haiti.
What iweala forgot is that in the face of inflation, the cost of running Govt projects will be high, All Govt contractors will definitely come back for contract variations or Abandon those projects.
As a sound economist, she should tell Nigerians the value of 1.3 trillion naira ( she intends to save on subsidy removal) in the face of 60% inflation and how many projects Nigerians will benefit from the subsidy removal. If you remove subsidy and the money disappears, then it is a NO NO for Nigerians.
Now, let us analyze possible solutions to this economic quagmire.
I have a deal for iweala.
fight corruption and inefficiencies in the subsidy regime and bring it down to 300billion for this year.
The management of Npdc must have a target of 150,000bbl/d by dec 2012. on january 2013 subsidy will go by 50% and by dec 2013 Npdc should guarantee 200,000bbl/d on
1st january 2014 subsidy must go 100%. with or without the refineries on ground, then if Nigerians are sacrificing, they will know it has a limit pending when refineries that will utilize the cheap oil on ground arrives.
tell me what WE are sacrifising for today? eternal slavery?
I and my generations cannot and will not sacrifice for Govt's incompetence.
All unions should never accept partial deregulation, it is more dangerous than total deregulation because Nigeria hasn't a price regulatory agency who ordinarily should put the markets and commuters on check.
Deregulation in the down stream sector is not same as telecoms, we need structures to support it which Nigeria have not got unlike the later.
God bless you as you fight this battle for mankind
