BEWARE OF DOGS! B EWARE OF MISCHIEF MAKERS!

I didn’t say it, merely voicing the thought of the spirit of God that says beware! Beware! Beware!

Isn’t it amazing that when a flyer, board or a notice is placed in front of a structure stating the “afore”, it doesn’t mean that the dogs (not referring to four legged creatures) and the mischief makers are outside the vicinity but inside? Right inside!, hmmmn. in other words, paul, by the leading of the spirit was warning the church to be circumspect of the dogs and evil workers in their own midst.
Phill 3:2
Beware of Dogs, beware of evil workers
……

So who are the dogs and how do we recognize them?
Simple, Jesus told us about them when he said we shouldn’t give what is holy to them. Its like saying don’t give them the “meat” of the word don’t tell them the secrets of the kingdom. Why? Because, in his own words “they’d trample over it and make a mess of it”.

I don’t know if anybody takes this seriously but I do because if you examine closely he creature he used in this analogy Jesus said a dog.

Why dog? Well as you may have already known dogs don’t do most things out of reason-they act on impulse. They’d eat the same stool their system rejected, they’d follow even a robber who came to operate in a house they were supposed to be guarding if the robber offers it a cheap meal, they’re shameless; seconds after washing a dogs body it would run back into the dirt, rolling and tumbling in the dirt- the same dirt that was painstakingly removed from its body by its owners and lastly (from personal experience) no matter how delicious and well prepared the food you give it is, a dog will always prefer food from trash cans, rancid milk, decomposed fish and other manner(s) of junk that will most definitely affect its well being.

Do you see the close relationship it has with some Christians…yes Christians?

When you give them the accurate teaching of the word of God (I mean from scripture and in its working) they reject it and say its “heretical.”
When you help transform their mind by the cleansing power of the word , they’d always want to go back to the junk they already knew. What they always thought was right.
They say they’re members of a church, yet they don’t agree with what is being taught there. “Then why do you remain there?” they don’t know. They’re dogs and mischief makers!

They love divisions and they love to pride themselves in it. Yet the bible says that the “the power of a people is their unity”, didn’t you read Gen 11:6

They’re the reasons for the rebel armies in many countries today. Their cause maybe just (rarely ever) but they go about airing their views in a way that causes divisions and striving. Sadly, they’re in the church; in our midst.

Take Judas for example, when Jesus was honored by a woman, he was offended (he wouldn’t give but he’d be offended when others give much-kunleoshob style. He wouldn’t listen to the message, yet he would try ever so often to bamboozle others with vituperative words. He stole from the treasury, he betrayed his master for money, we know where he ended…he was a dog and he was a mischievous person.

1thess 5 :12-13

The bible tells us to esteem our leaders very highly in love for their work sake. It didn’t say esteem them (which is already high enough) but it said esteem them “very highly” in love and to do it not because you like their face(s) or clothes but for their work sake, telling us that we would be at peace with ourselves when we do it.
Then in the following verse he said “warn those that are unruly” the word unruly there means those who “break ranks”; I mean those who deviate from the prescribed order-they have the Judas spirit.

Brothers and sisters there is a prescribed order of doing things don’t deviate from it. If a teaching was given and you find it difficult to understand, ask the leader above you, if he/she doesn’t understand it the both of you should move to the next leader above till you get the required answer. Don’t work against the scripture; follow the prescribed order. I urge you, don’t break the ranks; stop acting like a spiritual supervisor/ spiritual EFCC aka church “spy” (taking after the “I’v been there for six month” tag) if you don’t submit to authority, authority will never be given you.

Stop twisting the words of your leaders to create divisions and cast aspersions stop being divisive scripture calls you a dog and is telling us to beware of you.

Your attitude shows you were never one of us (like boy sir john) you only got in there to split hairs and cause a division to cause people to rebel against the scripture, to raise witches in the house of God, you don’t have the same spirit with us, you’re dangerous! Be careful bro don’t try to thread where even angels dread. Don’t kick against the stones.

Many have explained the reason for the questions you put up that’s why I didn’t bother going over it again but the spirit of God put this in my heart to post. There were many challenges but by his grace I always able to put this out.

Beware of dogs! Beware of mischievous people! Because they’re not outside the church but inside-right inside. Bless yall

aletheia:
What a rant. Typical of your sort; neo-gnostic heretics, you show contempt for the scripture while pretending to have superior spiritual knowledge (epignosis to you), you actually mock the truth of God. The song above only echoes the words in IsaiahBut of course you wouldn't know that since for you the holy scripture goes by the name "Rhapsody of Realities" -
Just a couple verses will reveal how untrue your statement is and also reveal the depth of your heretical inclinations. You know nothing of what true historical Christianity is.Oops, there goes your man-centric false gospel, you false god over whom hangs the judgment of the true God.
That you may have performed a few healings is no validation of your ministry. You will be weighed against the true God's litmus tests for true prophets:
1. 2.
1. You might have performed some healings but plainly you preach a different Jesus, so you are anathema.
2. No doubt, you have often spoken presumptuously in the name of the LORD, declaring all sort of false prophesies, (usually your sort delight to do so at the beginning of every year)
Do you just copy and paste scriptures without reading them? Do you just like me teaching you what your medical profession and grammar cannot teach you? Are you confused and lost in your powerlessness and faithlessness that you condescend to name callings?

Joh:17:22: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Ro:8:18: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.[/color]

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

2Co:3:18: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

the word of God is the mirror of God:the more you look into it the more your (metamorphosed) into what you see. when you behold the glory of God you become changed into the same glory: from glory unto glory.

1Th:2:12: That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

2Th:2:14: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb:2:10: For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

1Pe:5:10: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Maybe your religousity has blinded you so much that you eluded this scriptures above. Or did you see rhapsody of realities chapter anything verse anything there? Mscheew. God(to whom belongs all glory called us;christians into the same glory so that we could partake of it) he called us to be joint heirs with Jesus christ. what could be better than that?

If you want me to help you understand your faithlessness and powerlessness you could courteously ask and I’d tell you. Don’t go about making bombastic statements that hold no water.

God backs what we teach with signs ,wonders and mighty miracles as did he the apostles in the scriptures. He confirms what we teach with the power behind our words:the power he delegated to us.

M'r:16:20: And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

When somebody teaches the word in half measures, denies the power in the gospel, neglects the inheritance for the saints, the application of faith, the significance of love….how will the spirit of God work there? A gathering where sin is taught, poverty is advocated, sickness is a custom, faith is just a belief, how can Jesus be in that midst?

Somebody who claims to know the scriptures talking about another Jesus…. Another Jesus?, Another Jesus? Through whom blind eyes are opened, deaf ears are unstopped, the lame walk, the dumb speak, the maimed receive strength, the dead are raised back to life? Another Jesus? Who then do we follow Because they’re both saying the same things and doing the same things?

No, no a million times no! There is no other Jesus. That lie was being peddled by your Pentecostal folks due to their deep seated envy. But there is no other Jesus. Let no man lie to you. Anybody raising such notions is the Pariah.
Christianity EtcRe: Let's Talk About Faith (''non-wof Believers'') by mbaemeka(m): 2:47pm On Feb 28, 2010
When the Lord Jesus came on the scene on earth he said in many instances that he was God. The people didn’t really disagree: peasants, destitute, maimed etc. these folks didn’t disagree with the notion. Many of them thought “if he isn’t the messiah, when the messiah comes will he do more than this man?”

No guesses in finding out the lot that wouldn’t accept it: the Pharisees, Sadducees and the scribes. To them for a mere man to make such claims was outright blasphemous and heretical.

When peter treated Jesus as God almighty many of he(Jesus’) disciples didn’t accept it. Even Thomas didymus didn’t till he saw Jesus appear to him after the resurrection. He (Thomas) in his own words declared “my lord and my God” Jesus didn’t say oh no! Thomas you’re going too far, my father is God I’m just his son I’m not God, No! Instead he said “because you have seen me now you believe”.

If you say you are teaching the right stuff and we (the ones who believe and accept the God class that God has called us into) are teaching the wrong stuff then you’re going to back that claim with the more power he has given you.
How many sick have you healed? How many lives have you giving a meaning? How many times have you prophesied and seen it come to pass? How many?

I can aptly say to you that the answer to these questions is NONE! How do I know? Simple, you’re too religious in your thinking and it’s destroying your faith. TTALKS said faith is only in believing Jesus is lord and it cannot be applied- emphatically wrong! If you have an incomplete understanding of faith how can the message we teach work for you?

Then they run to the cover of “false teachers” and “false prophets” tagging as if it’s me that wrote “we’re joint heirs with Christ” “partakers of the divine nature” or is it me who said these signs shall follow them that believe?

How can the false teachers be full of power doing the works Jesus said to do-healing the sick, raising the dead, blessing lives etc. while the “true ones” are powerless and faithless , Ridden and beaten by every Satan induced condition(sicknesses, poverty, ignorance etc.)? Is Satan more powerful than God?

This ilk easily accept that Satan is the God of this world system but they find it difficult to accept that the Christian has been made a God in this world to rule over the forces of evil by faith. Abi is it also me who said “you are of God little children and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world”. The scripture says you are of God- you hail from God and have overcome the God of this world system because the greater God lives in you. God lives in me! He dwells in me! I’m the temple of the holy ghost! This is Christianity: Divinity at work in humanity! It’s greater than Immanuel: God with us. Christianity is God in us! Glorrry! (Jumps and leaps away praying in tongues)
Christianity EtcRe: Let's Talk About Faith (''non-wof Believers'') by mbaemeka(m): 11:13pm On Feb 27, 2010
“You are the lord that is your name, you will never share your glory with anyone you will never share your glory with anybody, you are the lord, that is your name”

I’m sure the likes of viaro, aletheia (nuclearboy is pending because I’m yet to believe you’re actually a Christian) sing this song on a daily while having their pity party making such confessions as “oh God, you know I’m so little and you are so big, you know I’m so powerless and you are so powerful”
This is religiosity at its peak toppled only by a re-birth unto babyhood-spiritual babyhood.

You see, as nice and logical that song sounds it doesn’t conform to the new testament as preached by the holy-spirit through Paul or any of the apostles.

2Pe:1:1: Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

This letter was addressed to the church: those who have obtained the same faith with the apostles. This faith was attributed to them when they became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

2Pe:1:2: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

They (the church like the apostles) would be bathed in a plethora of Grace and peace obtained by having intimate knowledge (epignosis) or full knowledge of God and Jesus.

2Pe:1:3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Gods own divine power has called us(the church) to glory, not shall call us or we shall get it but has already called us into GLORY and excellence.

God has already called us into Glory with him thus rendering that song wordless.
What was the glory about?

2Pe:1:4: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

He called us to glory and gave us wonderful promises that make us participators of the God class or fellowshippers of the God- kind.

Wether you accept it or not ,it doesn’t matter-that’s exactly what the word of God says.

Ph'p:1:9: And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
Ph'p:1:10: That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
Ph'p:1:11: Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Paul prayed for more knowledge (epignosis) so that the church could approve only excellent things- (why would God save you to make you mediocre??). How do we achieve this? by being filled with the fruits of righteousness.

Col:1:9: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

God wants us to be filled with the knowledge of his will for us in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

1Tm:2:4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.[

Gods will is to have men saved, and for them to come to the knowledge(full knowledge not half) of the truth.

Ro:8:29: For whom he did foreknow, [he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Gods will for us is for us to be conformed to the image of his son. He being the elder bro we being his siblings. That’s why he’s called “lord of lords” and “king of kings”. He’s the the first lord we’re the other lords, he’s the main king we’re the other kings.

Ro:8:30: Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

See again- he predestined us to glorify us. We’re glorified now. We’re joint heirs now not co-heirs but joint heirs, (bro i didnt write the bible God himself did, i met it here like you) . Christ suffered that we maybe glorified in him.

1Pe:1:11: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

He (Christ) gave us all the authority in heaven and in earth. All the authority he had been given by the father.

M't:28:18: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power(exousia meaning authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.M't:28:19: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

He’s our head we’re his body- the head cannot function without the body and vice versa. He’s our vine we’re his branches-we’re the fruit bearing parts of the tree. The ones to bear the fruits of his righteousness- good works; like he did-leading many into salvation, healing the sick, casting out devils, raising the dead, lifting many from diverse detrimental situations etc.

M'r:16:17: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
M'r:16:18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Jesus told us what we would use to identify the believers- with signs and wonders and diverse miracles. So when people quote:

M't:24:24: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I wonder did Jesus lie, mix it or is it that spiritual babes just don’t get it?
Well, one thing is certain to me-Jesus never lies so what does the verse of scripture mean?

M't:24:23: Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

Then when? When is the “then”. Reading from the 15th to the 21st verse you’d see that he (Jesus) was describing the great tribulation. He said then the anti-Christ will do many mighty signs including calling fire from the skies.(ref revelation) by then i'd be long gone!

If you believe you’re teaching the right stuff and you have a better understanding then you ought to be healing more sick people, raising the dead etc. but it’s evident that you can’t because you don’t have the faith for it so you run under the cover of “For there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Remindin me of those that believe in godliness but deny the power.

2Tm:3:5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Those that keep learning but never understand; they never have an intimate understanding of the truth(epignosis) many have epiginosko(aquaintance derived knowledge) not full knowledge or knowledge derived from intimacy with the word.

2Tm:3:7: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They’re always questioning the truth- “if you say you’re “gods” then command healing, bla bla bla!

Just like their mentors the Pharisees said the same to Jesus “Mr healer heal yourself, Mr prophet who struck you, tell us who did?”
They’re the ones who try to bring ridicule to the name Of Jesus. Telling people “sickness is normal, poverty is normal, pay tithes if you like, everybody musnt speak in tongues, miracles are outdated etc. why? Because theres no power in their lives so they have to make up excuses for it not knowing that the absence or none existence of this God given power in their lives is due to their unpersuadableness, unbelief and I dear say jealousy also as a result of not being saved i.e not receiving the holy ghost.

Ac:1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:

They have spoken ill against the message of faith, and in return faith doesn’t work in their midst-no power, no love as all these work together by faith. No healings, no gifting of the spirit, no move, no workings none whatsoever. You may have been sick for 18yrs they don’t care but just get healed on their Sabbath and the healer is castigated. What a shame! Ichabod! Ichabod! From their midst-indeed The glory has departed from their midst!

Joagbaje:
Hold on gentlemen, may I join the table for a moment before the celebration begins.
I love your explanation but its just one thing you are missing out here. There are Four basic fundamental principles of faith. The problem is ,,you guys only focus on one aspect, It is a truth but it is a lesser truth. Which is "belief"

The steps are, namely; Hearing the word, Believing the word, speaking the word, Acting out the word or on the word.

All these are necessary for faith to work. Hearing alone will not get the result. believing alone can only get partial result. Faith is more than believing.

THE WORD:
Faith can only be execised by the word of God. You cant say " i no go die because my head dey strong" It is not WORD based.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

That settled.

BELIEF/BELIEVE
The next is Acepting or believing. Which is the area you guys stopped . But you need to know that believing is not enough to get result by itself even though it may partially get some result.Someone may believe Jesus is lord in his heart but that wont get him saved. You may believe God can heal but that wont cause healing .Your belief must be spoken out .

James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Why? there are deeds of faith by which we demonstrate what you believe, and this deeds of faith are the things that are recorded in heaven. These are the next two steps or principles. Which are "Speakin and Acting your faith" This is where we are having clashes.

Speaking Faith Or WORD OF FAITH:
faith has to be communicated in words. In the spirit realm, words are not mere sounds but "they are spirits".I need several pages to explain this but I will make it as brief as possible. If you rew up among the Yorubas , I dont know about other cultures, The acient fighters and hunters and warruors use "ogede" and "ofo" Pastor AIO will bear us out here. He was born into Ifa family "ofo" means spoken word. You must speak it out!. Spoken words are like currency of purchase in the sprit realm. In the 70s on WNTV WE watched how two warriors would be charming each other with words. These are spiritual laws. It cut across the globe.

The word of faith is the spoken active word through our mouth. It is our "ofo" If I may borrow that word.
Back to that scripture

Romans 10:8-10
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

What was He saying here in sumary, He was saying, you donnt need God to come down, The word of faith is in your mouth. If it is salvation you want , "keep saying it" sorry or rather "say it" If you believe in your heart, then say it with your mouth.

Faith has a voice. Faith must speak.

2 Cor. 4:13
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

What will be will not be. That song is a lie. If you dont say it with your mouth the will of God may not come to pass. You have to make decrees as a King in your own world. You decree with words out of your mouth.

]Job 22:28
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Note that the word of faith is not speaking to God but speaking to things and speaking to life situations

Mark 11:23

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Luke 17:6
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

1 Cor. 13:2
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

If you dont beleve in word of faith so How are you going to heal the sick or cast out devils. Imagin you stant before a demonic case and start praying, ;

" father ,I pray thee , if it be thy will to cast out this evil spirit, may thy will be done.or father please let this devil leave me o in Jesus name amen"

Look , the beatten you will recieve will be worst that the sons of Sceva.

I Beg I don tire lets save the rest. let the party begins,
coudnt have said it any better sir,,

^^^so vague, I wonder if its not just about clicking reply. What did you hope to say if you did have something slipping in and out?

And when you base your Christianity on what you want and try to convince everyone that it is about your faith and it can move mountains and will move them since you can get anything you want, what do you suggest if not that God sits there anxiously watching your faith level and rushing to reply you based on your strength. Do we not hear of how God owns the World and is rich and therefore we as heirs own the earth too and must be rich since our God is rich?

Where is the will and supremacy of God in that?
oh no, on the other hand its you whose trying to make God do what you want him to do. i exercise the authority he has given to me. i didnt ask for it, he just gave it to me all i needed to do was accept it which i willingly did. you havent accepted it and now your trying to make others like yourself.

didnt you read that God gave Adam(the first one) the legal right to name the animals in the garden? so it wasnt God that named the animals-the first Adam did. he (the first Adam) exercised the authority God gave to him.

Enigma:
@nuclearboy

They have not fully revealed their hand; you will see how ridiculous they get when they raise Isaiah 45:11 "Command ye me" and tell you they can tell God what to do.

Or they will say God has given his "word"; He honours his "word" more than His name; so when they stand on His "word", God must do what they ask.

They may be hiding those points now; but they will out eventually.
God "must not" do what i ask him to do, he allows what i ask in faith to happen because FAITH is the only language he speaks. i know you may not catch what i'm saying now, but trust me one day you will.

The bible says the whole world was framed by the word of God such that things that be not whereas though they be, not that God created it but it was "framed" by his word. oh! the day you catch this, your life will cease to be the same. i hope you catch it before Jesus comes back, i just hope.

That is precisely what the heretical WoF leaders are teaching which our fellows here have swallowed in typical unthinking gullibility! The worse thing is that their unthinking gullibility is compounded by the arrogance of the ignorant ---- yapping "meat and not milk" rubbish.

Here is a thought experiment :

1.Pastor Chris tells a cancer stricken patient that they are healed in the name of Jesus

2. The cancer patient stops taking his chemotherapy believing that he is healed.

3. After a month or so he dies of cancer

Tell who is to blame for the death of the cancer patient ?
No well meaning person should take this junk serious. angry angry
When Jesus said "if i have faith as a mustard seed i can move mountain" Jesus wasnt sounding literal he was sounding figuratively. How?

Recall (that's if you read the bible very well) that in that same passage his disciples could not heal a common epileptic and when Jesus arrived they asked him why they couldnt heal and he said "BECAUSE YE HAVE LITTLE FAITH" now instead of giving them BIG FAITH, He rather told them to possess a much smaller faith the size of a mustard seed if.

Now this is where thousands of fools miss it, lets say the faith they had b4 he came was the size of a nut (if we want to quantify it) yet they could not heal, why would he now say they should rather possess the size of the smallest seed on earth. does it make sense?. That should tell you that Jesus Christ was sounding figuratively there. Meaning there was something he meant by the word "MUSTARD SEED".

MUSTARD SEED is the Kingdom of God.

Matt 13:31-32 "

31 He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is as a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.

32 Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches."

Recall in the initial scriptures, he said IF YE HAVE FAITH AS A MUSTARD SEED, Now connecting the two, you'll come to understand that what he meant there was

". . . IF YE HAVE FAITH AS THE KINGDOM OF GOD, ye can tell this mountain to move and it will" .

What is the Kingdom of God, it a Life, it is a people, it is a belief system, it is a nature. So therefore when he said "if ye have faith like a mustard seed ye can move mountain" he meant " If ye have faith like the people under the system of God and of His nature ye can move mountain"

And pls note that this faith (the power to heal) comes in measures and the scriptures has said that

"THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS ONES WILL MAKE TREMEMDOUS POWER (power to heal) AVAILABLE!"
Though I agree with most of what you said I don’t believe Jesus meant it “figuratively”. Why? Simple, lets see the passage in context

M'r:11:11: And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
M'r:11:12: And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
M'r:11:13: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
M'r:11:14: And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
M'r:11:15: And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;…

M'r:11:20: And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
M'r:11:21: And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
M'r:11:22: And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
M'r:11:23: For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

So you see, he couldn’t have meant it figuratively as he had just commanded a tree to dry from its root which it did. His disciples on seeing this marveled, then he (Jesus) said why do you marvel at this? Don’t you know if you had faith as a mustard seed you could say unto THIS mountain move to yonder place and it will. its like saying hey! if i did it on a tree it can also be done to a mountain-this mountain.

“A mustard seed” referred to the size it usually is before being planted and the size it eventually would grow to after being sown. Thus he was teaching them to “grow” their faith by planting it(sowing it)which in other words could mean using it in “smaller” situations till you can use them in “greater ones”

Psalms: 82:5: They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psalms: 82:6: I have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most high.
Psalms: 82:7: But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

“Robot-mode repeating pre-programmed jargon”huh You can say the same about your response(s).

Examine the verse five, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness” but “I have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most high.” But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”
It’s like saying “ye are Gods” but you don’t know neither will you understand; you’d walk on in darkness and die like men.

Why so religious? Did anybody say the Christian is God almighty?

What did jesus mean when he said in Joh:15:5: “I am the vine, ye are the branches”. Have you ever seen a tree whose branches and vine bare a different name? the life that flows through the vine isn’t it the same life that flows through the branch?

I beseech you, do not be like those who try to intellectualise truth and spiritualise their faithlessness. Be true to yourself have you ever laid your hand over a sick person and seen him/her recover? Why not? Its your right in Christ?

M'r:16:17: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
M'r:16:18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Don’t be like those whose minds are old like the children of isreal who having come out of Egypt coundnt make it into the promised land because of unpersuadableness. The old folks wanted to return to Egypt despite seeing all the great miracles God had wrought through Moses. So God swore that they wouldn’t enter the promised land. The only people who did enter where the folks whose minds where still young and who had little or no knowledge of Egypt enough to want to go back into bondage.

We’re free as Christians from these bonds- we’re partakers of the divine nature!

Heb:4:2: For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Stop castigating “faith” you may think its WOF you are against but it’s the word of God. God gave us his very life-zoe and indeed we have it now.

1Jo:5:11: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1Jo:5:12: He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jo:5:13: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

We’re partakers of the divine nature because we have the same life God has: zoe.

Don’t miss out through ignorance, unpersuadableness and mis understanding

Heb:4:6: Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Heb:4:11: Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Don’t fall after the same example of the unbelieving believers!

Heb:3:8: Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Heb:3:9: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Heb:3:10: Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Heb:3:11: So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Heb:3:12: Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Don’t die like mere men who didn’t believe.
There are a lot of things God has made available to us through Christ Jesus.

Heb:3:14: For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Heb:3:15: While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Heb:3:16: For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
Heb:3:17: But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
Heb:3:18: And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Heb:3:19: So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

The apostles believed (especially John) that’s why they lived the supernatural life. They only let go when they got tired of the world (this world). They felt the world wasn’t worth them.

Heb:11:35: Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
Heb:11:36: And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
Heb:11:37: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
Heb:11:38: (Of whom the world was not worthysmiley they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

I don’t understand you. This appears to be an expression of satisfaction and contentment with present status.

This is motivational talk. I asked a simple question, why is the poor in your church not benefiting from this prosperity gospel you are preaching? Are you saying they refused to accept it? Maybe there is more to this prosperity thing than you are preaching. I believe you are not providing full disclosure here.
i typed the testimony of a dear brother among many others i have heard and witnessed. i lost it one way or the other and i dont have the time to type it now. maybe some other time.
you seem to be a nepios in the teachings of faith and i'm not going to be the one to help you out now. "expression of satisfaction"

if i gave you the testimonies you'd probably not believe it so whats the fuss. the fact of the matter is that testimonies always abound to that effect because its the word of God. keep your fingers crossed none the less i may still post the testimony.
Christianity EtcRe: "Most Christians Infected With Prosperity Gospel" by mbaemeka(m): 1:47pm On Feb 23, 2010
God has made provision for us to prosper in Christ Jesus. He also made provision for us to be in health, joy, peace, righteousness, holiness, wisdom and so on. They were accredited to us by virtue of being in Christ Jesus. We can either receive it and walk in it or reject it.

How do we receive it and walk in it you may want to ask? It’s the same way you received your salvation- you believed Jesus died for you and was raised for you, then you confessed his lordship over you.
When you did that (if you have done it?) what happened to you? Did you “feel” born again? Did you see any light from heaven? Did you hear any voice talk to you from above saying “thou art now saved”? Chances are that you didn’t. So how do you know you’re born again? You knew by “faith”.

The bible says:

Ro:10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ro:10:10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

You see, when you believed you were saved you were right, but you weren’t saved. You only got saved when you confessed with your mouth” I’m saved”. Then you started living with the consciousness of your being a “new man” in Christ. You didn’t always get it right, but the more you studied the word the more you saw yourself metamorphose into that “new man”. It doesn’t mean you weren’t born again at the start, just that you weren’t as conscious of it now as you are- after studying the word.

It’s the same thing with the prosperity aspect- you can either accept it or reject it. If you accept it then you begin to live in the consciousness of it. It’s already yours so you don’t beg God to give it to you-you say “it’s mine” and then you walk in the consciousness of it. A prosperous man knows no lack so you don’t identify with lack, even if you do not have cash in your pocket you don’t say “I’m broke” because you’re not-remember you’re rich in Christ Jesus . You say father I thank you I’ve got all I need. You see that’s your new consciousness (eido)/mentality.

Did you ever read about Isaac, the bible says he waxed great, he moved forward and he became very great- in the midst of farming! Why? Because he had this mentality: He didn’t need to thrive in a prosperous nation, he stayed exactly where the farming was yet he prospered till the philistines envied him. He didn’t need to have a lot of seed for all he had was all he needed. That’s a prosperous man.

Look at it also in this light- since you gave your heart to Christ (if you have) you must have missed it one way or the other…right? So the day you messed up did you become a sinner that day? It’s the same thing in this instance.

We don’t tell people to chase after money (wealth) we tell them that God has made provision for them to prosper in anything they do since they’re in Christ. Thus we say if you’re a doctor be a doctor with a difference! If you’re a trader-be a trader with a difference! If you’re a bus conductor- then be one with a difference! God has made provision for you to make it wherever you find yourself because you’re in Christ Jesus! If this isn’t good news I wonder what is.

Ga:4:28: Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Ga:4:29: But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Ga:4:30: Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
Ga:4:31: So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

When i see comments like these(from Enigma and aletheia) i cannot help but wonder if you're truly christians.

if you have ever laid your hand over a sick person and seen them recieve their healing you wouldnt call another man a "pathological liar" nor will you ask why some miracles are not instant.

thats why i put up those scriptures, you both are children of the flesh persecuting children of the spirit. the interestign thing is that it didnt just start now it has always been and will always be. but as the free woman won so also have we(children of the spirit).

I really wanted to isolate each of your points and show you from scripture were you err but I will be giving you meat; meat too tough for your feeble teeth grin. You are indeed a nepios and your mind is sure made up concerning the parochial direction you’ve embarked on finding truth. May the good lord open the eyes of your understanding because its apparent your physical eyes are open but your spiritual eyes are shut.

Who has bewitched you? Who has brought you another Gospel that in actual fact is really no gospel at all? Who is peddling to you bondage in the name of gospel? Who has travelled a mile to get you only to enslave you again? Who has?

Psuche refers to biological life. The kind of life you find in ordinary humans, in plants, in insects, in living souls.
Zoe is a higher life: Its eternal life; it’s the life of God- his very essence. It’s a life that gives life to other beings.

When scripture says Adam (the first one) was a living soul. It was referring to psuche. When it said the second and last Adam, which is Jesus Christ was a life giving spirit it was referring to Zoë.

Your medical practice is making you intellectualize truth. Brother, come down from your high horse. I beseech you!

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the Zoë.
“As the father hath Zoë in himself so also has he given the son Zoë”…
…“I am come that they might have Zoë”…
He came to let us get Zoë and indeed we have it now! 1john 5:11-13

MATTEWS ACCOUNT
Mt 8:18-20
18, now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
19, and a certain scribe came, and said unto him, “master I will follow thee withersoever thou goest.”
20, and Jesus said unto him, the foxes have holes, birds have nests and the son of man has nowhere to lay his head.

LUKES ACCOUNT
Lk 9:52-58

52, and sent his disciples before his face; and they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for him.
53, and they did not receive him because his face was though he would go to Jerusalem
54, and when his disciples saw this James and john they said” lord wilt thou that we command fire to come from heaven and consume them even as Elijah did?
56, for the son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village
57, and it came to pass that as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him,” lord, I will follow thee withersoever thou goest
58, and Jesus said unto him, “foxes have holes….but the son of man has nowhere to lay his head.”
Do you see how the accounts differ?

Lukes account was more detailed and i dear say more accurate-he told us why they went there in the first place, why he(Christ) was resisted(because he was a Jew), how he decided to go to another village close by, and how a scribe opted to follow him while he was on the way- on the way to the other village

That other village wasn’t Capernaum. Now to address the “as it came to pass” (as they went to another village) didn’t you see it? After they were turned back they digressed to another village, on the way there they met the scribe. That was the “as it came to pass” time….(sighs). It doesn’t mean a millennia occurred. That was why Jesus said he didn’t have where to lay his head…he didn’t live in that village.

I’m not insinuating that he lived in a mansion; all I’m trying to prove is that he was not the bum many try to polish him as.

JOHN’S ACCOUNT
John 1:37-39

37, and the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38, then Jesus turned, and saw them following and saith unto them “ what seek ye?” they said unto him, rabbi “where dwellest thou?” (translated where do you live?
39, he saith unto them “foxes have holes…, ” abi? No! No! He didn’t.
He saith unto them- “COME AND SEE” they came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

You need to take off the spiritual blinders! It’s easy to study the scriptures.

I don’t know why you’re trying to put your hook and bait in my mouth to force words out of it. I didn’t tell you anything about Stephen. If you want to know my views on the matter you could kindly ask and I’d tell you. I never said he didn’t have faith. I’m not in any WOF movement you lot keep driving at. Am not against it but I’m not for it either.

I didn’t also talk about the apostles. They were going into the synagogue without silver and gold, which means they had no offering to give. So are you going to tell me it’s also wrong to give an offering?

Talk about bamboozle! Most of them had an occupation- peter was a big time fisherman, Matthew was a tax collector (a rich one), Luke was a physician the list is endless. So why didn’t they have anything to give the man? Well, prior to this point Jesus told them not to take anything with them: no purse, no extra sandals, he also said don’t greet anybody on the way! Good, so we’re not to greet anybody on the way …, right? Luke 10:4…don’t confuse yourself. He told them not take those things with them so they wouldn’t get distracted. That was the point-distraction.

Things have changed now bro, principles remain the same but the methods have changed: they have evolved. Now we don’t need to walk long distances to reach the unsaved, we can use cars, planes, and the internet; Just about any positive thing.

You are also aware that they (the apostles) took offerings for the “poor”. Why didn’t they tell them to remain that way?

I apologize duly if I have been unable to offend you. I could try but it’s going to be futile, it’s not in my nature. So, with the joy of a weekend I say to you one love!

@mba emeka, I don’t know what the argument between you and aletheia is all about, but I do find some interesting comments in your post I like you to clarify. I think its good for third parties like us reading your post. If we can find the necessary clarification in your previous posts, it would be nice if you guide me

I would appreciate if you can explain this further especially the “poor now know they are rich” part. Thanks

I don’t think its right for you to make such assumption. You don’t know really.

I need so clarifications here as well. I need to understand how the gospel makes the poor rich. Thanks

I find it difficult to reconcile the posts above. My understanding of your interpretation here is that if we ask in faith we receive. But my question is, how does my faith or belief that i will receive whatever I desire equates to God’s will for me? Thanks.

I have another problem here. I a bit confused by this. Looking at the first post, my thoughts would be if I dial a wrong number in faith, my friend will hear me. Some clarifications again please. Thanks

The gospel is not about making a Christian rich. I am happy you bring this up. I especially like the part highlighted above. Its says a lot about the way we see the prosperity.

Out of the need to learn here, i would also like to ask, who is the saved rich man? Is it the rich man that gives away his property to stay rich (based on the concept of give and receive more)? Is it the man that gives away his property out of love to meet the need of brother or sister (and probably end up poor in the process)? Some education here will be appreciated. Thanks.
Thank you both- jaffi and zikky

Thank you (zikky) particularly for a sincere interest to understand my points. I hope this attempt I’d make will be able to clarify some of the issues you raised.

2cor 8:9 the bible says for we know the grace of our lord Jesus Christ that though he was rich yet for your sakes he became poor so that you through his poverty might be made rich.

Think of it, Jesus: the man of Galilee; the miracle worker; God in the flesh, died.
Now contrary to what many feel he wasn’t a martyr. I know some people even say he was the greatest martyr, but he wasn’t.

In John 18:35-42 the bible says Pilate while interrogating Jesus asked him  , ”Art thou the king of the Jews?”, Jesus answered him saying “, My kingdom is not of this world” in other words he said  , ”I’m a king but not a king in this world”. Pilate then asked him some other questions which he (Jesus) answered perfectly. You must have observed that Pilate said “…I find in him no fault at all”, and he (Pilate) started scheming to get Jesus saved.
If you also observe with close scrutiny, when Jesus perceived that Pilate wanted to save him, he(Jesus) stopped talking; he stopped responding well to the questions because he wanted to die. He had said it before- he said “my father has given me life and the power to lay it down if I choose”

The man wasn’t killed; per say for it would be an insult to say he died a martyr. He wasn’t a martyr, he was a SACRIFICE.

A martyr dies for himself, but a sacrifice dies for others!

I don’t mean to drift; I’m trying to amount to my earlier point: that he (Jesus) died for something and for people. He died that we might live and he resurrected to see that we got what he died for. The gospel is predicated on the resurrection and its (the resurrection’s) power to us wards who believe. This was Paul’s message-he sort to know Christ and the power of his resurrection. Philp 3:10
It’s like saying what did his resurrection do for us?
1peter 1:10-11 says there was a suffering of Christ and a glory that should follow. This is because God always brings us out of somewhere to take us into another place.

He always brings us “out” to take us “in”. He brought Israel out of Egypt to take them into the Promised Land.

Now the glory that followed was our salvation. Rom 10:9 says… if we believe he was raised from the dead we shall be saved…
Salvation doesn’t just mean to save, the word is all encompassing. It’s a state of completeness- health, joy, peace, righteousness, wealth (prosperity), liberty, life etc.

Visualize salvation like a house that God purchased and gave to us with some keys, say nine. Many have received the keys, some have entered into the living room of their salvation but that is where they stop. Brother! Sister! There are eight other keys, what are they for?
When I used one key to open a door in the house i saw divine health in the room and then I knew I’d never be sick in my life! I took another key and opened another door, there I saw riches. I jumped for joy because I knew I’d never be broke in my life!
Are you getting the picture?
God has brought us out of sin to take us into righteousness.
He has brought us out of poverty to take us into wealth.
He has brought us out of stagnation to take us into prosperity.

Please read Acts 26:16-18 and Eph 3:8. It’s really clear!
In a nutshell the message is this- the Christian is not the poor trying to get rich. The Christian is the rich discovering his/her inheritance!   Wealth is part of our inheritance!
Salvation is not only to save us from hell it was to bring us from the path of hell to the path of heaven, This is the true gospel!

Did you ever read about Isaac? The bible says he prospered because of his father- Abraham, Period. It had nothing to do with who he was, absolutely nothing! Just because he was a seed of Abraham!
Did you read about the woman who had been bent double for eighteen long years? Jesus said she deserved to be made whole (even on a Sabbath) because she too was a seed of Abraham.

Do you know the Christian is a seed of Abraham? Read the book of Gal 3. You may read the whole chapter; you’d like it.

Gods will is that we ask in faith and in the name of Jesus. He never told us to ask for what he willed for us (if he willed it to us then it’s already ours we just have to receive it) he always said “, WHATSOEVER “ye” desire”…

He gave us a blank cheque! He is God! Nothing can be too hard for him. Don’t let anyone cheat you of your salvation. He answers yes to whatsoever we want; its part of our inheritance-it’s our right in Christ.

Did you ever read of King Hezekiah? The bible says God sent the prophet Isaiah to tell him to prepare to die. Now you see, it was Gods will for him to die, but the bible says Hezekiah backed the world and turned his face to the wall and sort God. He reasoned with him. He said things like, ”the dead cannot praise you”…you know, things like that. Before long God sent the prophet back to tell him he had added fifteen years to his life. Can you see, he (Hezekiah) asked for what he wanted which was not in line with Gods will but he got it. He got it all the same! Remember this was in the old testament- the bible says for us in the new one we have a better covenant established on better promises. Boy! We can get anything we desire.

Now I know some people will say…”then ask God to kill bro so and so”…well, Jesus said “if ye abide in me and my words abide in you ye shall ask what ye will and it will be given you.
If Christ’s words abide in you and you abide in him you will not ask for bro so and so to die…that’s the truth!

The analogy only meant that if you dialed the wrong number your friend’s phone will not ring. You’d need to dial the right number then it will ring and your friend will hear you.
A lot of people think God will not do something if it’s not his will. Well, the issue is not the “his will” part but the part of if he even heard it. Dialing the right number to God is using faith and the name of Jesus.

When we ask in faith and in the name of Jesus we get Gods full attention and his willingness to perform what we have asked for that means he would hear us.

The rich saved folks to God are men who are born again and who give richly to the things of God in love. It’s not possible for such a person to get poor…God loves a cheerful, prompt to do it giver whose heart is in his giving… he always makes grace abound to them…2cor 9:8.

They are the folks Jesus described as poor in spirit. Mark the word in spirit. Scripture says blessed are the poor in spirit not blessed are the poor in physical. Being poor is a curse and Jesus took it away. He said the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Why? Well, it’s because the kingdom expands through them. They are the people who, though they might possess so much wealth in the physical, in their spirit they’re really poor. I.e. none of their possessions own them. If a cause arises say (Haiti) for example and some money is needed such a person would willingly sacrifice what he has for the cause. He won’t even negotiate it. Listen it’s not the amount, it’s the willingness. Another example could be in a church say a need of fifty thousand naira arises and God says to him/her “drop your expensive wrist watch it’s the amount they need” he/she wouldn’t say” if I drop an amount and brother so and so drops an amount we would meet the need now”, no. he/she would just say okay sir! And drop it, no arguments. He/she is a saved rich folk and such a person is laying up treasures in heaven.

You cannot love God and not give towards his cause; you can’t love God and eat your seed, then go about telling people it’s demonic to give. That’s why Jesus said where your treasure is that is where your heart is.

Lastly, for such people( such as my humble self tongue) death is usually far from their dwelling because many lives depend on them. Such folks cannot lack anything because God will always supply their needs according to his riches and anywhere their name is mentioned God himself answers because when we make sure Gods kingdom expands ( by saving the lost and telling them about hteir inheritance) he makes sure ours does too.

I hope I have been able to answer your questions.
