vb0mb: I prefer Arrow of God because its a tragicomedy. Things fall Apart although its more proverbial but also interesting.
I still love Anthills of the Savannah. The best derpends on the reader. To me, Arrow of God deals with the real pre colonial Igbo way of life, and Achebe should have written it first, with Things fall Apart as follow up; just as he wrote No longer at Ease as follow up to Things fall Apart. Things fall Apart was themed in the transitional period when the white man's religion, system of justice and general way of life was at battle with Igbo way of life. |

Oh……the land of igodomigodo suffereth a venesection
Aplomb in realization like the Egyptian bird of Phoenix, igodomigodo’s phlebotomized land shall drink soon the traditional meriba’s aqua.

The soul suffers not like the heart because a seed does not die at burial. The lactiferous determinative subsumption of human protein has nothing to do with the fiery renaissance and resurgimento of the ethereal part of homo sapiens. So says the friend of Obahiagbon from across the Niger. |

Car Talk › Re: My Stolen Mazda 626 Has Been Recovered By The Police by Mbediogu(m): 3:17pm On Apr 28, 2016 |
Some mechanics and other car workers do it. When u take ur car to them for major work that will last up to a week and surrender the key to them; before they return the car, they forge the key. They also take the chassis and engine number and forge the particulars in advance of taking urban car. Thereafter all they have to do is target the car at places like church, stadium or wherever. When they steal it, they take to their gang member in another town and overnight they change the colour, upholstery and registration number. They also change or remove things stereo and wheel covers, then take elsewhere to an unlucky buyer. I was a victim in 1989 but I also recovered the car, a Honda Accord. Be careful who u leave it car keys with. |

trueconscience: hahahahahah another "WOLF CRY"!
Truth be told, I personally find it hard believing ALL this FULANI herdsmen stories. WHY?
The IPOB have been very poor in their propaganda. Whenever they have an issue with police or security officials, they are quick to say FULANI soldiers, FULANI police just to incite and create hatred of the Fulani ( because PMB is Fulani?). So, whenever I read stories of FULANI did this or FULANI did that, I am sceptical about swallowing it hook line and seinker!rul r The IPOB should be careful about crying wolf falsely because IF the wolf eventually shows up, it will be hard for people to believe them
My 20 cents! You talk rubbish. IPOD acting all over the south? IPOD killed the traditional ruler in Delta state, took Chief Falae captive for ransom and ransacked Agatu and Enugu? Then why is everybody shouting Fulani instead of IPOD? Be careful, what is happening is beyond gimmicks. |

Flexherbal: When will things normalise again in Nigeria? Was this how it was in the 60s? No though I passed through the system much later. Students of the 60s were more fiery because of fight for independence and the prospects of a new nation. The law agents then were more British than Nigerian. Students also respected themselves and were also respected by all including the politicians and colonial masters. As u know non of these applies as at today and there can be no basis for comparison. |

Go means go. When you go off hand and force the VC to call in the Police, anything can happen. Please go back to your families. They love you. The closure is temporary. Learn to discuss and also get influential people to speak for you. The rustification of a 5th year chap will not stand if it was unjustly done. No Policeman has ever been punished for killing mobsters rather they get transferred with promotion. A word is enough for the wise. |

oduastates: 4th mainland bridge is a shortsighted waste of money as a result of lack of planning.
Why do we need another bridge to a tiny island, that will be under water, in less than 100 years. Like the badly concieved mega city thingie, which has resulted in the spread of an urban ghetto sprawl, this money would have been better spent on reclaiming what has been lost. Instead of a single business district , would it not have been better to have a series of business districts like the central business district. Like one business district in Ketu, Surulere, Agege and Ojo respectively thereby reducing the need for a new bridge all the time. That money would also be better spent building a subway system or urban railways system. August no understand. Ten per cent ni. |
