The Economic and Financial crimes commission,(EFCC) has nabbed a former governor of Imo state, Achike Udenwa for collecting a N350 million stolen arms fund through embattled ex-minister, Esther nenadi.

Nenadi was detained by the EFCC for allegedly receiving N2.5 billion of the N4 billion taken out of the Central Bank of Nigeria, on the orders of the ex-National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, ahead of the 2015 election.

Nenadi was the Director of Finance of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign.

robosky02:
On Friday 4 May 2012, at the age of 48, Rasheed Yekini passed away after a brief but serious illness. Nigeria’s record goalscorer (37 goals) ensured his name went down in the history books when he scored the Super Eagles’ first ever FIFA World Cup™ goal at the 1994 finals in the USA in the 3-0 group stage win over Bulgaria.

FIFA.com looks back on his memorable goal and subsequent celebration. Yekini who played for several clubs in Spain, Greece, Portugal and Switzerland, could hardly believe he had scored and spontaneously grabbed the net, shaking it in celebration.

The photo of the 58-time Nigeria international captivated the world and even today the former striker, who in 1993 was the first Nigerian to be voted African Footballer of the Year, remains a respected figure in the global football family.

“Rasheed Yekini was one of the best players at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the USA,” said former FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter when he learned of Yekini’s death. “Against Bulgaria he scored Nigeria’s first ever FIFA World Cup goal, a strike that will earn him a place in the annals of Nigerian football. He will be sorely missed.”

How did they do it? Not by discrimination between the English / Scots / Welsh.
Not by criminal embezzlement by few privileged.
Not by sabotage of good national development plans or incessant strike actions, bunkering, market manipulation and all such vices that are commonly practiced by us here. It shall be well.

Okupe wants to create a group of jobless people like himself but the devil is a lier. His party lost an election purely because of warped ideology such as this. Instead of asking political office holders to give up a small percentage of perks and reduce stealing in the spirit of national sacrifice, he is recommending that those in coma should be clubbed to death - just to sustain the comfort of the few. Nigerians are saying a capital No! Strike like if you agree with me, and share if you agree with fat Okupe.

Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade stunned workers on the 1st of May, Workers Day, when he announced the payment of salaries for the month of May on the first day of the month.A mild drama immediately ensued when the workers who were at the U.J. Esuene Stadium for the May Day celebration began to receive salary payment alert from their various banks.

Unable to contain their excitement, the workers shouted “alert, alert”.

The workers praised the governor. Before now, the governor had paid salaries between the 13th and 20th day of each month.Governor Ayade told the workers, who named him the “Best Labour Friendly Governor in Nigeria”, that his administration had a duty to give workers a sense of dignity.

“We must create opportunities for labour to feel a sense of dignity. If you are truly a Christian, you must know that as you care for your kids, you must care for labour,” he stated.

Another good news is that workers in the Edo State civil and public got cheering news during the May Day celebration as their salaries were increased.

Workers’ salaries were increased by 45 percent. The minimum wage is now N25,000.

The workers, especially members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees who were in pensive mood at the beginning of the rally, danced and sang praises of Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

Please start your grazing from No. 26 Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi and spread into Alausa, take a long trip to Iragbiji in Osun State and occupy the whole of the south. It's your constitutional right to graze around the country while carrying your AK 47 riffles and destroying others means of livelihood with your cows. The CHANGE has come.

Sai Buhary. grin
Spokesman for Fulani cattle men was right when he said the constitution guarantees free movement for citizens. Does it also guarantee same for cows, or do Fulanis put themselves at par with cows? I am not even sure that there is constitutional right for migrating plundered and killers. Let's get it right.

Kobojunkie:
Coup Speech of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, January 1, 1984
Please read carefully~

In pursuance of the primary objective of saving our great nation from total collapse, I, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari of the Nigerian army have, after due consultation amongst the services of the armed forces, been formally invested with the authority of the Head of the Federal Military Government and the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is with humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I accept this challenge and call to national duty.

As you must have heard in the previous announcement, the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1979) has been suspended, except those sections of it which are exempted in the constitution. The change became necessary in order to put an end to the serious economic predicament and the crisis of confidence now afflicting our nation. Consequently, the Nigerian armed forces have constituted themselves into a Federal Military Government comprising of a Supreme Military Council, a National Council of States, a Federal Executive Council at the centre and State Executive Councils to be presided over by military governors in each of the states of the federation. Members of these councils will be announced soon. The last Federal Military Government drew up a programme with the aim of handing over political power to the civilians in 1979. This programme as you all know, was implemented to the letter. The 1979 constitution was promulgated. However, little did the military realise that the political leadership of the second republic will circumvent most of the checks and balances in the constitution and bring the present state of general insecurity. The premium on political power became so exceedingly high that political contestants regarded victory at elections as a matter of life and death struggle and were determined to capture or retain power by all means.

. . . . .
. . The constitution is suspended excerpt those sections of it which are exempted in the constitution. .

What type of this is this? Oh good beans!
