What utter junk rubbish!!!

As I said earlier, it is nurtured delusion. Even most of these animal right rubbish is directed at the animals that are fluffy and cute or generate a perception of magnificent looking/displays.

It is reasonable to not harm animals unnecessarily but the whole setting up right thing is rubbish and has little bearing to human rights.
Aren't u contradicting yourself?
The Bible, The Quran, the Upanishad and other holy scriptures instructs mankind to treat animals kindly, even though animals are to serve as food to man, that doesn't mean they should be treated anyhow.

Sorry folks, I never new the animal rights issue will be taken serious to the extent of being moved to the front page 2 months after posting it.

What you guys don't understand is that, by respecting animal rights, we'll value humans rights the more.

We can only respect the rights of others if we understand what animal and human rights are.

Enugu people will be making a very dangerous mistake if they fail to return Chime, both nwodo and nnamani any criminals of the first order that need not be listened to.

Nwodo during his tenure as a governor was alleged to have buried state funds in his father's grave; not to talk of Nnamani that is a combination of a thug and a thief.

Only Chime can deliver the dividend of democracy in the state, a lot of evidences abound to testify to that

But the shenanigans didn’t stop there. According to the Weekly Standard the streaker was at the event to claim a million-dollar prize offered by billionaire Alki David.

“When I see the video and it’s confirmed…it won’t be a check [that he sends], it will be cash,” David told the publication.

The requirements of the streaking stunt, according to David, are that the streaker must have been within “eye-shot and ear shot of the president, they have to scream the name ‘battlecam.com’ six times, and they have to be nude,” with the website scrawled across their chest.

The man has since been identified as Juan James Rodriguez, 24. He was charged with indecent exposure, public lewdness, and disorderly conduct

Things got a little wild at a President Obama-headlined rally in Philadelphia over the weekend when someone literally threw a book at him as he wrapped up his speech, and then later, a man was arrested for running buck naked through the crowd. [Watch videos below.]

President Obama and Vice President Biden spoke before a crowd of about 18,000 supporters Sunday as part of an upcoming tour designed to build momentum for Democratic candidates and close the ever-important enthusiasm gap between Democrat and Republican voters.

An unknown guest in the audience launched a book at the president following his speech. In the video below, the literary projectile can be seen flying past Obama, who appears not to notice.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said the man had written the book and hoped the president would read it. Donovan said agents concluded the man posed no danger

Politics2011: Pdp May Ignore Efcc's Report On Bankole, Fayose, Nnamani by Mbeki(op): 10:36am On Oct 12, 2010
here are indications that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), may not be willing to enforce reports from the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), concerning aspirants indicted for fraud or those who have cases to answer.

Few weeks ago, EFCC chairman, Farida Waziri met with PDP chairman, Okwesileze Nwodo. At that meeting, pointblanknews.com learnt, Nwodo assured Waziri that every lousy report on any aspirant received by the party would not be ignored.

EFCC had severally maintained that every aspirant who has cases of fraud hanging over his or her head should be stopped from running for any office. It followed this up with formal notices to the political parties of its (EFCC) readiness to avail them of the reports.

However, Pointblanknews.com learnt that despite the assurances from Nwodo, the party may have some moral and legal issues to contend with.

advertisement

Some of those who are on the bad books of the EFCC include Speaker, Dimeji Bankole, his Deputy, Bayero Nfada, Ex ekiti governor, Ayo Fayose, Ex Ebonyin Governor, Sam Egwu, Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu , Ex Benue Governor, Goerge Akuma and Plateau's Joshua Dariye.

EFCC's spokesman, Femi Babafemi confirmed to pointblanknews.com, the resolve of the anti-graft commission to send damaging reports on aspirants to the parties. He however pointed out that it would be the call of the parties to field 'clean' candiadates since the EFCC does not have the mandate to stop any indicted aspirant in his tracks.

According to him " we cant enforce it, but we have told the parties we would make available all the reports for them to use during screening of candidates. It is left to the parties to present candidates without indictments hanging over their heads"

Sources close to the party told Pointblanknews.com that the PDP could run into troubled waters if it attempts to stop anyone. They cited the cases of Rivers Governor, Rotimi Amechi and former Vice President, Abubakar who were stopped by the party. They sought redress in court and the action was declared null and void since they have not been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction.

Another issue is of morals. according to our source, any one stopped by the substance contained in the EFCC's indictment could take a shot at the chairman, Nwodo who still has the case of the $214 million National indentity Card scam hanging over his head. It was one of the sticks used by his opponents during the jostle for the position of party chairman.

Repeatedly, Nigerians have been butchered and killed during “religious riots” in Northern Nigeria, the latest and most recurring being the Jos and Plateau State pogrom. Ciroma and his group were silent and did not ask President Yar’Adua, who was president during the peak of the crisis last year, to resign.
PoliticsJonathan Should Resign-ciroma by Mbeki(op): 9:43am On Oct 06, 2010
Meanwhile, the Northern Political Leaders Forum led by the former Minister of Finance, Malam Adamu Ciroma, has called on Jonathan to resign immediately or face impeachment proceedings by the National Assembly.

The Forum has Babangida, Atiku, former Senate President Ayu and several prominent leaders from the North as members.
The group, known as G.15, is in the forefront of the campaign for zoning the presidential slot to the North.

Ciroma, who was reacting on the October 1 bombings, said: “Now that the president has proven that he is incapable of leading the nation justly and fairly and that he is desperate enough to want to hang mass murder around the neck of unnamed Northerners to achieve his second term, we as citizens of this country have totally lost confidence in his leadership and hereby call on him to immediately resign.

“If he fails to do so by the end of the week, we call on the National Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against him with immediate effect.

“We state, without any equivocation that, as Northerners and as citizens of this country, we no longer feel safe and secure under his leadership.”

According to Ciroma, “Even more disturbing was the declaration by the President, only hours into the bombing investigations, that he knew who the attackers were. Is President Goodluck Jonathan a closet member of MEND or is there more to the President's curious posture than meets the eye?

“Just before this statement was due to be released to the media, the answer to the second question began to emerge. The Department of State Security finally succumbed to political pressure from the President himself and followed in the footsteps of the EFCC to target the President’s political opponents.”

PoliticsBlast Victims Get N10,000 Each by Mbeki(op): 9:05am On Oct 04, 2010
Victims of the Independence Day car blasts in Abuja were given N10, 000 each by alleged government officials, Daily Trust heard yesterday. One of the victims admitted at the General Hospital Asokoro said government officials had given few of them N10, 000 each. “But those who were admitted later were not given the money,” he said.
Daily Trust found seven victims of the blast at the male ward of the hospital yesterday. Most of them sustained various degrees of burns and were being looked after by their families. Some of the victims were said to be at the Children ward in the hospital.

Police Corporal Owun Abdul who was on duty when he was engulfed by flames resulting from the blast said he was not given the money because he was not among the victims earlier brought to the hospital. Abdul sustained burns in the face, left hand and legs. “I feed myself and the government gives us free medication.”

Jonathan Okorie said he was injured in the right leg and his condition is better. “I hope to leave the hospital as soon as the doctors permit me.”

At General Hospital Maitama four male victims were admitted, two at the emergency ward and the others at the VIP section. But the victims at the emergency section including a police officer and an official of the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services Abdullahi Doma were expected to be transferred to the VIP yard yesterday before the arrival of Vice President Namadi Sambo.

Doma said when the first blast occurred he drove to the scene together with an official of the fire service to offer help to the first casualties. “But as soon as I stopped, the fire service official disembarked from the vehicle and went to the scene. Then the second blast occurred nearby. The fire service official was tossed to centre of the blast and burnt.”

“I also watched as the third explosion occurred in a Black Mercedes (C-Class) model from the other side of the road towards the Federal Ministry of Justice. The explosive devices were planted in several vehicles at both sides of the Shehu Shagari way,” he said.

The officials of the Maitama hospital refused to disclose the number of dead bodies of the blast victims in their custody and those they have discharged. At the National Hospital Abuja there was unusual presence of heavy security men in and around the Hospital.

Public Relations Officer of the National Hospital Tayo Haastrup said 40 victims were admitted on Friday but as at yesterday thirty had

PoliticsJonathan's Presidency:northern Elements Plan Gridlock, Mayhem, May Use Bokoharam by Mbeki(op): 8:10pm On Sep 29, 2010
A crisis of huge magnitude capable of thwarting Nigeria’s democratic process is currently being planned by some Northern elements following the declaration of President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2011 Presidential elections.

It was learnt that the characters behind the plot have at various nocturnal meetings vowed to ensure gridlock, and mayhem if President Jonathan gets the ticket.
advertisement

Highly placed sources told pointblanknews.com that the plot is in three phases: challenge the PDP’s decision to accept President Jonathan’s candidacy in court, cause religious riots and killings of Southerners in the North and then create a state of emergency in the country and a consequent military putsch.

Spearheading the plot that has on the table, a possible event that could lead to the ‘suspension of the constitution’, are Former Central Bank Governor and Ex- Minister for Finance, Adamu Ciroma, Ex Internal Affairs minister and former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu, PDP chieftain, Yakassai; former deputy National chairman of the defunct National Party Of Nigeria (NPN), Shetima Ali Munguno;, Senator Kanti Bello, Ex National Democratic Party chairman, and IBB campaign coordinator, Hassan Mohammed Jalo; PDP chieftain, Lawal Kaita, Bello Kirfi, Second republic Ambassador to Switzerland, Yahaya Kwande, and Special assistant to for Vice President, Abubakar Atiku, Ex Chief of Army, General Abdulrahman Dambazzau, and scribe Northern consultative Forum (NCF), Bashir Yusuf Ibrahim while General Office Commanding (GOC), 3 rd Armored Division, in Jos, General Saleh Maina, is said to have been briefed.

Pointblanknews.com also learnt that the extremists in the North are expected to co-opt some influential and desperate politicians from other zones in the sinister game plan.

In line with the script, some of the arrowheads have agreed to start sending signals through the media, of a possible pogrom that would make the Rwandan genocide, a child’s play. They also want to recreate pockets of massacre in the north that led to the civil war. They intend to mobilize ethnic militia like the Boko Haram, to launch all out genocide on southerners in the north, with an anticipated reprisal attacks in the south.

The plot is expected to also involve some officers of northern extraction and top attorneys. The attorney’s are expected to begin series of legal battles to challenge the PDP in court. The legal option would be a page out of the Arthur Nzeribe’s infamous Association for Better Nigeria, ABN, play book. ABN had in 1993 got an injunction stopping the Professor Humphrey Nwosu’s electoral Commission from conducting the Presidential election.

Pointblanknews.com learnt that, If Jonathan gets the nod of the PDP as its standard bearer, the legal think-tank made up of top jurists, retired justices and judges are expected to fashion out a suit that would be brought before a judge of their peers who would grant an injunction that would restrain INEC from conducting the presidential election.

In a recent letter jointly signed by Ciroma, Ayu, Kaita, Kirfi, Kwande and Bashir Ibrahim, they said “…we are extremely worried that our Party’s failure to deliver justice in this matter, may ignite a series of events, the scope and magnitude of which we can neither proximate nor contain. The peace, stability and unity of our country are superior to the personal ambition of one man. This stability and the corporate existence of our Party are all at stake and we urge you to grant our prayers.”

Recently also , one of General Ibrahim Babangida’s campaign coordinators, and ex National Democratic Party chairman, Hassan Mohammed Jalo , in line with the fiery rhetoric of characters like Kanti Bello and Tanko Yakassai said “we have a leader (Jonathan) that wants Nigeria to disintegrate, that wants Nigeria to crumble on his head. At the rate we are going, if anything happens to Nigeria now the whole blame will go to Goodluck Jonathan because he is the President”

Monguno, 74, former Mines and Power Commissioner under General Gowon said “I am afraid if he (Jonathan) insists on standing for the Presidency, there will be all sorts of confusion, a lot of confusion that could compromise the unity of Nigeria.”

Sources hinted pointblanknews.com that the series of warnings and threats issued by leaders from the North have now reached a new crescendo as options and strategies are now being worked out.

According to highly placed sources, in the event of a crisis, the North would take full advantage of its population in the Military and take over. The source said “they would also take advantage of the fact that the new Army chief, General Onyeabo Azubuike Ihejirika is yet to ‘settle’ down, coupled with the fact that some key officers are still loyal to the sacked Army chief, Gen Abdulrahman Dambazzau.”

Dambazzau who was relieved from his position while attending a conference in New York and is said to have expressed anger over the way and manner he was fired. He has a long list of followers among soldiers of Northern extraction.

General Maina who is a key consideration in the plot was at one time put under surveillance by the military intelligence. He heads one of the most strategic and lethal Division in the Nigeria Army. The other three key areas that are being infiltrated are 2 nd Div, Ibadan; 82 Div, Lagos and 1 Mechanized Division, Kaduna.

President Jonathan have had to cancel his planned Visit to the United States to address the United Nations General Assembly soon after declaring to contest in what a security source said had to do with “immediate security reports obtained.”

Some Northern politicians had warned that the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), must not field President Jonathan, a southerner for the Presidential election insisting that it is the turn of Northern Nigeria to produce the President.

However, security sources hinted Pointblanknews.com that soon after president Jonathan declared at the Eagle Square, Abuja, some top Northern leaders met to strategize and stop the Presidency from “being hijacked by the Southerner.”

According to a source “we received a tip- off almost immediately because they were monitoring the events on television and that was why we advised the president against any foreign trip now.”

But President Jonathan had relied on the provision of the Nigeria constitution as against an agreement in the PDP to declare his interest to vie for the top political position.
