coogar: fergie is an idiot for not having berbatov in the team. in terms of contribution, berbatov is miles ahead of anythe way you throw insults around make it difficult to have a discussion with you. Why do you think i am more in need of an education on any topic whatsoever than yourself? Dude, just stick to the topic and cut out the snide comments (you can exchange it with those who are interested in such). I have long read Gary's views and as much as he is an intelligent pundit (i don't know what qualifies him to be the best in the solar system), i do not completely agree with him on this. The issue of diving vs. 'making the most of the contact' are all a matter of semantics. Cheating is the name of the game. I agree with Gary that diving is endemic in the game but to say that Young is entitled to fling himself to the ground because the defender stuck his leg out, just does not work for me. I guess defenders should just run out of the box as soon as strikers arrive because there will be contact and automatically penalties. That 95% of players do it does not justifies it. Did you hear Gary answer YES to whether it is a dive? |
After this, can we explore that Victor Attah angle? No be Sahara talk am o! Na for uk court dem talk am. so this is not a case of detractors wanting to run him down. |
Santos is the kind of clown you go to the circus to see. Dude is a defender, right? |
rastamouse: Do you drink water with the intention to get drunkAre you for real? Why do you drink juice/why do you drink coke? |
The way folks use contact to defend dives you would think football was a non contact sport. |
Any one who denies the fact that Ashley Young dived is merely joking. Look at the way he was stretching his leg to make sure he made contact with the defender. The painful thing is that when he is truly hacked, the ref will not give him a benefit of doubt. |
very soon they will be settling marital disputes on the floor of the house. Are they that jobless? |
i hope the terrible performance is not glossed over by those two goals? |
Of course i loved Superstar. HHP is my man. I like Export and flower. I am not a hip hop fan in the strictest sense anyway. |
i beg make somebody tell us the truth about Berba. There must be something we are not being told. Look at Hernandez trapping the ball like a bag of concrete and being awful most of the time and Berba is not even on the bench. Wetin Berba do SAF? |

I WISH IT WAS A JOKE; Marouane Chamakh has stressed he sees his future at Arsenal despite increasing speculation that he will be sold in the summer. After a bright start to his Arsenal career, having joined from Bordeaux on a free transfer in 2010, Chamakh has struggled for form, scoring just once this season. And, after a photograph of him holding a shisha pipe emerged in Tuesday's press, it has been suggested Arsene Wenger could look to offload the forward. However, Chamakh told French magazine Onze: "Am I going back to Bordeaux? For now, no. I have spoken to Wenger and I will stay at Arsenal. I think he trusts my work and I will have opportunities in the first team. "I left Bordeaux to improve as a player and I think I can continue for this club. My agents have been ordered to reject bids that come from other clubs because I want to prove I can be useful for the Gunners." |
am i the only one who thinks this Rooney hype is not based on reality? lad is good but not all that.he has moments of magic but very inconsistent. he is English so the hype is understandable.... |
I am still trying to understand why Jones was played, apart from sentimental reasons. It just distorted a plan that has been proven to work. For all the applause being bandied around, i still think we need to inject a great dose of creativity in that central midfield.dynamism was sorely missing in our play. As good as valencia and Rafael were, they kept doing the same thing over and over again and we almost got no result from it. the game was crying out for a bit of magic from the middle but it was sorely lacking. The amazing thing about Valencia is that he is good at few things but in those few things, he is scarily good. very single minded. DDG will still cost us a few points in the short term but in the long term he will be a united legend (those were my exact words after the blackburn OT game and our CL exit). At 20 if he can do what he does now, some folks will feel orgasmic pleasure imagining what he would do when 27/28.wait until he sorts out his english, gets his eye surgery done and adds a kilo or two. I just hope the randy meida will not be all over him when he makes a mistake or two very soon because he will. COYR!!!!! |
pro01: As funny as it may seem, Linda may be making or may be capable of making more money from her blog than Seun is making from Nairaland. For one, her blog is more popular (or infamous if you prefer) than Nairaland. Secondly, Linda makes the most of her celebrity power to attract attention of those that matter to her blog. Seun is mostly an obcure nerd holed up in one remote bunker in Ota. He would be much richer if he evolved into a celebrity by actively getting more media mentions and making more appearances in the conventional media.have you considered the fact that it might just be the way he wants it? To each man his own. |
AjanleKoko: Okay.by every means possible get a copy of 'Gift Of The Tortoise: A Musical Journey Through Southern Africa by Ladysmith Black Mambazo'. Just get it and your son or daughter will send me a thank you note. Awesome CD. |
AjanleKoko: Okay.Try and ignore flattery for a minute, this is probably one of the most beautiful posts i have read in a very very long time. Thank you for this succinct insight you detailed here. Very good post. Thank you. |
I just wonder what is going through Berbatov's mind. |
montelik: My preferential midfield next season would be Carrick, M'Vila, Tom C, Modric, Fletcher, Pogba and Giggs. If Spurs make the UCL it would be difficult to get Modric without paying blood. But that would likely mean Chelsea won't have a chance and City don't have the space for him with Silva, Nasri e.t.c already there.football fans, always dreaming. at the end of the summer you will wake up. |
montelik: Not just that, I wish someone would tell him to give 1/2 yard when playing the last line. He is way too eager and always going offsides. He has a lot of pace, so why he can't just restrain himself 1/2 a yard I don't know. Ruud was never this perennially offsides and he didn't have Chica's pace. His eagerness seems like a lad wanting to have his first orgasm. In addition Ruud had whole more skill than Chica. Chica can't hold the ball up and rarely makes a pas beyond the basic. |
Gbawe: OBJ and OGD shamefully conducted two different primaries for exactly the same positions in Ogun State because the PDP is a party full of murderous rancour. They then both announced that they had "won" the Ogun state PDP primaries. How, for god sake, can anyone deem that more democratic than all candidates stepping down for Amosun after amiable negotiations?so that justifies the Bourdillion selection process? |
Gbawe: Dude, rather, it is your own position that worries me because I thought you were one of the balanced members of the forum. The reason I find the revisionism going on here annoying is because we have done this topic to death before and during the general elections.Gbawe, thanks for the response. I think you are purposely muddling issues. I(can't speak for other posters) am not comparing ACN and PDP as political entities as i think both are just election vehicles. I would like us to concentrate on the issue of internal democracy or pretensions of same. What PDP even have is not a model of internal democracy but even in its flawed form, it puts to shame the selection process hoisted from Bourdillion Road by ACN. This is the crux of the matter. The analogy of not running my family the way you run yours does not hold in this sense. This selection process of ACN should be abhored and detested by any true democrat irrespective of what he or she ends up gaining from the process. I fail to understand how you can defend it? Leave the comparison of both parties for another day's discussion. This is not the place for it. Aany party that promotes this kind of election process as a form of internal democracy is primitive and anti-democratic as far as internal democracy is concerned. |
Gbawe: Some of you should learn to use the brain God gave you instead of pandering to emotions alone. What is the international reputation of the PDP if not 12 years of wanton looting, corruption and hideous misrule? Now tell me how the ACN has performed in the two states (Edo and Lagos) it has had enough time to demonstrate decisive leadership. I will not even go into what respective parties do in our legislative houses or how they rise up to the challenge of opposition politics. Do your own homework. Suffice to say it is madness to say the ACN is the same as PDP when one Party has destroyed many Nigerian State and central government over 12 years while the other party has done well, over a much shorter period of time, administering the only two states it used to control. The reasoning of some nairalanders is a joke .Gbawe, your position on this issue worries me. We are simply comparing the issue of internal democracy in the parties. Even the blind can see that there is a semblance of internal democracy in PDP. ACN do not even pretend to practice such. In this regard, ACN is the last party worthy of criticizing PDP. PDP is a monster and a gift from the pit of hell but when it comes to internal democracy, ACN has a lot to learn from them. That tells you how bad it is with ACN. To claim otherwise is shameful and disingenuous. |
Do Saharareporters even read the pile of trash they write before posting them? Even as a work of fiction, this rubbish is very weak. |
